Its' my book, so of course I think it's great :) Actually I was going to give it 4 stars because I noticed the formatting is a bit off, and I also saw a "you're" instead of a your which made me cringe- but I hope to have those fixed and updated shortly! ***Update*** after proofing for the eighty seven billionth time.. I think most errors have been fixed :)

DIRTY LITTLE SECRET is a great book! I usually read dark romance so reading such a fun, entertaining, captivating, easy-to-read story was kind of like giving myself a mini vacation! While reading DIRTY LITTLE SECRET I was able to just let go and enjoy living vicariously through the book's very fascinating twenty-somethings! The character development was so phenomenal that it was easy to forget that I was reading about fictional characters. At times I literally felt like I was a voyeur, ...more

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest and fair review.

Hillary is trying to keep up with her best friend Ivy, with partying, designer clothing, home, job, boyfriends, free drinks at the bar, you name it, she envies it all. The young cast of the radio world seems superficial, frivolous and a bit catty.
From all the characters, Bert is my favorite. He's smart, sensible, sincere, reliable... you name it! True stand up kind of guy, he's easy to love.

Do you remember what life was like right after college? The thrill of being free of school, officially an adult who is working their first "professional" job, this is it your time to make your mark on the world...your job sucks, you are broke, living on ramen noodles, trying to find love and feel on top of the world.

This is Hillary's life, like any other twenty something she still in the process of finding herself and along the way some bad choices are made. Hillary ends up in more than one

We all remember what college (or high school for some) was like! Everyone trying to keep up with everyone else. Well Hillary is trying to keep up with her best friend Ivy in Dirty Little Secret which means partying, designer clothing, home, job, boyfriends, free drinks at the bar, you name it, Hillary envies it. This was really a great read! Truly! I enjoyed looking at the mistakes that are made and remembering myself at that age. It really could be any of my friends lives from those days. So ...more

This is a grown up book with a very youthful spirit. I don't know of a better way to say that. These girls are just starting out in life and careers. And like you would expect from any young woman, mistakes are made. I found the characters so easy to relate to, even though I'm much older now. They were very real and made the story so much fun to read.
On a side note, I'm from Chicago. I felt a little like I was visiting home. Absolutely loved that part.

Is it the mighty that fall? Or simply the call of the red soled shoes...

Falling In Fall Book Blog
Do you know what I love, Fallers? A good story about the media. I LOVE the media (mostly because I've spent a large chunk of time as part of it as a journalist). So when I saw this story about falling in love at a radio station... I had to give it a read. I'm giving Dirty Little Secret four stars!
Where do I even start? Probably with the fact that Bert is officially my new book husband. Seriously. The guy is hot, nerdy, has curly brown hair, and is a huge music geek. *Fans self* And here's the

Remember when you were in your twenties and you felt so grown up? You were independent, in debt, out drinking and dancing, spending too much money, making bad decisions and it really wasnt your fault? After all, you were doing your best to survive in this dog eat dog world. Then you realize, maybe not so grown up afterall?

Well, Hillary is a just that girl. After graduating from a prestigious college, she is working as a receptionist, waiting for the day she becomes the next Barbara Walters. The

I was intrigued by the title and basic premise of this bookAccidental broadcast of a one night stand threatens girls entire existence. In addition to the expected drama, Dirty Little Secret provided an interesting look into the complicated world of radio and a realistic, but enchanting view of life in a big city like Chicago. While I dont identify with the twenty-something, clubbing sort of lifestyle, the story and characters kept me entertained. The humor and pop culture references amused me. I ...more

Maybe it's because of the shoe, but this story gave me a sort of Cinderella vibe, which made it even funnier. I mean, a girl has a big night out with a guy, she disappears, and suddenly everyone is wondering who she is. Cinderella, right? But that's only where the fun begins, because Hillary is a free spirit confined in a stuffy, boring job who needs a jump start to really let loose. She knows her way around the city and is the constant target of flirting.

As the story goes on, Hillary in

This is a fun story. This is a flirty story. I really enjoyed reading it. The author takes you on a witty ride through secrets, love, and 20-somethings in search of careers and their place in the world. The references to Chicago, albeit not all real, still gave a "true" sense of city life for 20-something women. The dialogue between characters was believable and I loved the text messages Ivy and Hillary sent to each other. The story line kept me intrigued until the end and had enough "mystery" ...more

This is a really good book. The love story of Hilary and Bert is clumsy and humorous. I really enjoyed reading it and didnt want to stop! The characters are believable and the scenes are described in a very intriguing way. The author has crafted a story that will keep you turning the pages. Bert is so reliable and smart you will love him and Hilary is a woman we can relate to. This book hold my interest till the end and it could be fun to have another one like this to read. Such a fun book! I felt instantly connected to Hillary--like she was one of my best friends that I've known for years. The witty--and sometimes snarky--comments within Hillary's head kept me laughing the entire time. The romance was just enough to make me blush--but not so much that I felt like I needed to put it down (I'm a bit of a prude!). I would recommend to anyone wanting a fun, smart, fast-paced read.

What a great beach read! The characters were believable and I found myself crushing on the main man. (And blushing a few times, too.) You should definitely check this out as a nice, fun, light-hearted read while hanging poolside this summer.

Dirty Little Secret is a great, easy and entertaining summer read. The characters are quirky and fun and the author clearly had knowledge of both Chicago and the radio business!

This was a cute book. It's a humorous, clumsy love story. The scandal that propelled Hillary and Bert's romance was actually pretty believable and one of the more humorous parts of the story. Hillary's boss Carolyn also kept me laughing but I wasn't so impressed by Hillary's friends. They felt like more of a distraction in the story than anything. I could really relate to Hillary's overachieving personality and her drive to become more than just a

Hillary graduated from collage and became a journalist but she couldn't find a job so she was destined to work as a receptionist at a radio station. The story follows as Hillary mets Bert who is a Dj at the radio and they have this adventure which becomes the spotlight of all Chicago. As the story continues there is a secret that is reveled about Hillary that I totally did not expect but it was good.
The story is an easy read and is well written. I really enjoy the story in the overall result. I

A Fun, Funny, Romance
I loved this read, it is light and fun and flirty and the characters are really great. It's a perfect curl up with a good book read. I absolutely love Hillary and Bert. Taking a first look at Bert and you would never guess what lies underneath. Hot and nerdy and oh so hot in the sheets and very sweet. Hillary is young and ambitious and so very likable, you just want everything for her. What happens to Hillary kept me intrigued and turning page after page until the very end.

Most of these are always written in third person, as if the author isn't the one actually writing them. So, I'm going to be a rule-breaker and write it in first person instead. I'm a native Chicagoan, vegetarian, and lover of big words. I randomly burst out into song, and have been known to carry on entire conversations (with those worthy of the challenge) in song lyrics.
