I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This debut book could be a solid and well-contrived adventure in reading. The potential in the story is definitely there. My biggest complaint is the lack of spontaneity in the writing style. The dialogue just didn’t flow well for me most of the time. It is very structured with a robotic tone. There is a great need for the usage of contractions. The entire story gives off a feeling of being force-fed with little emoti

Kenna Sloane escapes her home in the middle of the night to get away from her abusive step-father and her mother, who does nothing to stop the abuse. Kenna moves in with the best friend, Danielle, and starts a new life. She keeps her abusive past well hidden behind the walls she has built to keep her safe. Danielle sets Kenna up on a date with a hot rookie police officer, Donovan Alexander. Although there is chemistry between the two, Kenna seems confused over how she fels about Donavan and push

This book wavered between a three star and four star from beginning to end for me. I loved the story's idea and was excited to read a story about a cop with the care and attention the author portrayed Donovan. He was amazing and I couldn't wait for him to come in and out of every scene in the book. He is a special character and I haven't read another character like him.

I was given this for honest review!! 4 1/2 Stars I started this book and I could not put it down, I was so blown away with the writing and the story just loved the whole book. This story is about Kenna , who's been through so much in her life, she has walls built up so she can survive, or that's what she believes. Kenna has a BFF Daniella, I like her she there for Kenna but does not push on issues, she introduces her to Donavan a police officer friend of Tyler she been seeing. Donavan and Kenna ...more

So this story is about survival, plain and simple and the theme is spread throughout the book.

It start with Kenna survival from the abuse of her stepfather and being ignored by her mother. Its also about Kenna survival of of the demons inside of her.

When Kenna meets Donovan, she doesn't want to see him or spend time with him for 2 reasons. 1, Kenna doesn't feel worthy of him and 2, Kenna mistrusts all men, because she thinks they will turn into her step father. I am going to leave the story ther

I was lucky enough that the author sent me a copy of this book before it was published. It is the debut novel by author Kaitlyn Stone.

Walk with Me is about Kenna who has escaped a troubled childhood and is now living with her best friend Danielle. Danielle is dating a police cop and one day they introduce Kenna to Donovan who is also a police cop. Donovan also has issues of his own. I was very kindly provided with a copy of Walk with Me to read and review.

This book is the story of Kenna Sloane and Donovan Alexander. Kenna is only nineteen but because of her awful upbringing she's a complete mixture of strengths and weaknesses. She's independent and resilient but she's also fragile and lonely. Will Donovan be enough to break down her defences and find a way into her heart?

Donovan, to me, is real heart of this book. It was wonderful to see him, at times, just as broken as Ken

Quickie Review:

If you're looking for solid New Adult contemporary romance and have a thing for a man in a uniform then this is for you. If none of the above applies, then steer clear. Walk With Me is a typical NA romance novel where a girl with heavy baggage starts to fall for a guy her best friend sets her up with who happens to be a cop. They fall in love and unveil layers of themselves that they have not revealed to anyone else. The overall tone of the book is pleasant, although the plot revo

This book had a lot of potential. I liked the plot and the characters that began on the road to discovering love and uncovering some truths. The main character Kenna ran away at the age of eighteen because her Step-dad and Mom abused her. Apparently this went on for some time and she never told anyone. I wanted more of this story in the beginning so I could relate more to her. So she is moving on not too far from where she grew up is a little odd. Had her Mother wanted to find her she could have ...more

There were parts of this book that were solid 4 stars for me. But there were enough parts that didn’t work for me that I can’t give it the full 4.

The premise had me interested before I even opened the book. A local cop and a focused student brought together by mutual friends seemed like a cute story that would be a nice break from more emotional books that tend to end up in my stack.

Kenna runs away from an abusive home life and vows to get her act together and make something of her life. She has no room for a serious boyfriend, choosing to spend time with guys that aren't looking for a relationship.

Until she meets Donovan.

It isn't long before they are dating, and getting to know each other. I liked how they didn't jump on each other from the get go, and took their time getting to know each other before things got physical between them. There's no insta-love here, a

Kaitlyn Stone just put the "New" in New Adult with Kenna and Donovan’s story. By that, I mean that Kenna and Donovan—even though they are broken people—choose not to let their brokenness be an excuse to lead them down the wrong path in life. Kenna was an abused child and teen, and Donovan carries false guilt of a family tragedy. Both chose careers that would help heal them in their mind and body, by giving of their selves and offering help to maybe saving others. But there was still one more pl ...more

This is, hands down, one my favorite books I've read this year! Not just because of how original, emotional and brilliant the story is, and not because I'm a huge sucker for cop stories, but it's written in exactly the way I like it and I am just blown away by it.

Actually, I'm writing this on zero sleep because I got the "one more chapter" disease reading it - I really just wanted to read the first chapter while getting ready to go to bed to see if I'd like it...and see how that turn

Walk With Me follows Kenna Sloane as she tries to build a new life for herself away from her controlling and abusive family. Kenna's busy studying and has a clear plan of what she wants from life. It doesn't include relationships and love.

Danielle, Kenna's bestie, is determined to 'help' Kenna and introduces her to young policeman Donavan. Donavan and Kenna have the whole insta-attraction thing going on. I'm not the biggest fan of insta-love or attraction and they do get invo

Donovan and Kenna are introduce to each other through mutual friends and start on a journey that is exciting but also scary. Donovan is had a good head on his shoulders. He’s responsible, protective, sweet, and a sexy as hell police officer in Santa Monica. He has an event in his past that has helped him choose his line of work. Kenna is a

First off the characters are absolutely captivating! Both have internal struggles but for me, it's so easy to get annoyed when characters have so much self pity and self destruct. There was none of that here. You felt every emotion and they kept you wanting more. I have never laughed as hard or shed as many tears while reading and this did it all for me. They say for authors to write what they know. Kaitlyn's novels are inspired by events in her own life. She relives her experiences through the lives of the characters she creates. Not only does she relate to their thoughts and feelings, she has lived many of them.

Since childhood, Kaitlyn has gravitated toward fairy tales and happily-ever-after's, forever chasing the first love dragon. She is a se
