Another OK read. I read the first in the series and was a little disappointed and had already "one-clicked" this one before finishing it. It was nice to catch up with the characters again. His diagnosis ... with all she had been through before (insert eye roll)


I wanted to read Leah's story but might hold off on it for a while.

This is the kind of bonus material most successful authors give to their readers as a thank you. While it was fine and I loved the characters (I had read the first 3 prior), I can't say it's worth buying. If you can get it for free, go for it.

Thank you to the author for giving us readers this cute and sweet bonus content. It was amazing getting to see one of the happiest moments of Clare and Logan. Getting to read their wedding was such a treat. This made me laugh, cry and swoon. It was great seeing more of the love between Clare and Logan, the friendship between Clare and Leah and the family love between Clare, Logan and Maddie.
This novella was just pure joy. And I cannot wait to see what the future holds for Clare and Logan (AND MADDIE)

A very short and sweet read. So glad we get more from Logan and Clare's epic love story. This book was magical and beautiful, because we were sucked in a wedding where love empowered the scene. This was such a romantic read as well. There were some very funny scenes that I thoroughly enjoyed. Maddie is so cute and hilarious. You got to love kids! I can't get over her. I'm so glad both characters got a second chance at love with each other, because they were meant to be and truly deserve happiness.

The perfect novella! I loved getting a look at Logan and Clare’s wedding day. There was so much love and laughter with a tad bit of fear. Fear of the unknown. If you read their story, you know Logan is about to face some difficult months. Clare will hate to relive some scary moments in her life, but she has chosen to be by Logan’s side through it all. There is no other place to be.

Do yourself a favor, if you haven’t read their journey, grab it now. If you have, one click this short read. You won’t be disappointed!

I loved this glimpse of Clare and Logan’s wedding. Some books feature heroines that are wimpy. I feel like Clare is a strong heroine and I liked that a lot. She knows what she wants and she lets herself get it. There’s no flip flopping on her part. Wonderful romance. In the 5 book box set too.

This story is a continuation of the previous book in the series. Logan and Clare have resolved all their issues (mostly hers) and are now getting married. This was a cute story tying up the issues they had to face and of course, Maddie, Clare's daughter, is so cute.

God! I
absolutely love this series.  And with Ready to Wed, I loved that we got to see a bit more
into the worlds of Claire and Logan and a bonus short story Never Been Ready More with Leah & Declan.

This novella was perfect. First with the wedding, then transition into the short story with the birth of Declan & Leah's first child.  



For Claire she has gone through so much and finally she gets her HEA, but the stress of the unknown with Logan's illness is starting to get to her.  Thankfully Logan is awesome as ever and knows how to make everything right.

After Logan convinces Claire that all will be well in the world, they finally get their wedding which was perfect! Exactly the way I would have imagined for one of my favorite couples.



After getting to see a slice of happiness with Claire and Logan which I would have been totally content with then we get the bonus to see further with Declan and Leah.  I have to admit JL Berg knows how to make stellar men.  Logan and Declan are amazing. 



If you have not read this series then you must do it immediately.  It is so heart felt and amazing. Love it!!!!!!



Often authors will put out a whole new second book with certain couples then sadly the story often becomes dragged out and you lose the essence of that first book.  But with this it was a novella and a short story so basically it felt like an extended epilogues which gave you a piece of heaven into seeing these couples without over doing it.  Couldn't have asked for more, it totally fit the bill of what I wanted from these two couples.

~~ 5 "Perfect Ending" Stars ~~

Ready to Wed is a novella in the Ready Series by J.L. Berg. This review is probably going to be pretty short and sweet, because the book was short. I absolutely love this series and the characters that J.L. Berg has created. I thought Ready to Wed was the perfect ending to Logan and Clare's story. We got to see what happened after the end of When You're Ready (Book 1) Eventhough this is a novella, it was still written perfectly. I love J.L. Berg's writing style. She is able to create a story and characters that truly suck you in and keep hold until way after you finish the story. I truly felt like I was a part of this wedding….It also brought back fond memories of my own wedding day :)

This novella was a great addition to this series. It was short, sweet, steamy, and even funny at times. This is definitely a book that can be read it a short couple hours. If you are a fan of J.L. Berg's and a fan of When You're Ready, then you for sure need to pick up this little treat. It reminded me of why I loved Logan and Clare so much and how great little Maddie is.

I loved that we also got a glimpse of what Declan and Leah are up to after their book Never Been Ready (Book 2). It was great seeing these two together and the birth of their daughter. Declan and Leah are so funny together…I love their banter.

I would definitely recommend this treat for anyone who is a fan of this series. If you haven't read this series yet then What Are You Waiting For??? You are missing out on some great characters and love stories.

Where to begin?

The book begins with Clare Murray, Logan Matthews and Clare's daughter, Maddie, are flying into a destination wedding resort to get married. After a few snafus, the couple get married. There really isn't much more to say about the plot of the book. It basically follows the couple around over the few days leading up to and their wedding day.

It had a few sweet moments... like Logan singing a song to Clare and Maddie asking if she could call Logan Daddy, but I felt those were the highlights of the book.

Honestly, Clare came off as very neurotic throughout the book. Everything was 'a sign' that they shouldn't get married... her dress being ruined when they landed at the resort when she hated it to begin with, Logan's fainting by the pool. It just aggravated me a little bit that she was reading too much into all these events. Airlines are NOTORIOUS for losing/ruining luggage ALL the time. If you don't eat something during the day and are in the sun, yes, you will faint.

The sex scenes were mediocre. That MIGHT be my fault, though... I read a LOT of BSDM/erotic books, so I am accustomed to NOTHING being left to the imagination. If you like your books to just brush along the edge of erotic scenes, Ms. Berg's portrayal will be right up your alley. But it just didn't do anything for me.

This book also included a bonus short story, Never Been More Ready, which focuses on Clare's BFF, Leah and her husband Declan. I wouldn't say it followed the couple as they prepared for parenthood, since it mainly centered around the night Leah went into labor (and all the hilarity of the beginning of labor), but it was enjoyable. I found it to be TOO short. I would have liked more about the baby's first year, like her first word and first steps.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Fun read. Easily readable in a day, if not less depending on your reading speed. Just don't expect it to be gritty and dirty.

Ready To Wed is a sweet and short novella about Clare and Logan Matthews, and more precisely about the wedding they organised in less than a week in St Thomas. Needless to say that you will have want to read the original book, When You're Ready, before reading this wonderful little epilogue.

It didn't bring much to the story, but it was a nice addition to When You're Ready, even though chronologically, Ready To Wed happens before the events of the When You're Ready epilogue. Sounds confusing, but trust me, it's not.

Just as the first book, Ready To Wed is written in a charming dual-POV and extremely romantic, without being too cheesy. It's definitely worth checking out. I bought it at $0.64 on the Kindle store (due to oversea delivery charges, since I am not US based), and it's a real bargain for an enjoyable 1-hour read.

I was especially surprised to find out that there was another novella embedded at the very end of Ready To Wed, called Never Been More Ready, and which actually relates to Leah - Clare's best friend - and Declan - Logan's best friend.

Just let me start off by saying that this one was just as enjoyable as Ready To Wed, but beware, you need to have read the 2nd book in the Ready series, called Never Been Ready, or else you'll be subject to massive spoilers.

So I basically stopped at the end of Ready To Wed, started reading Never Been Ready, and then went back to Never Been More Ready. Confusing? A tad... but it was also extremely enjoyable!

Clare ended up in the ER with her little girl Maddie and Logan just happened to be the ER doctor that walked in the door. I simply adore these two and what an amazing journey they have been on throughout the entire Ready Series!

Of course the trip to St. Thomas wasn’t without incident. Always something going on in their lives, whether it be Logan’s Health or Clare’s dresstastrophy! You have to read to find out! The story like each and every Ready Series book was simply amazing. Clare and Logan are soul mates and I loved to see the continuation of their journey. Hot Steamy Sex, Romance, Love and laughs always follow these two, but so does Logan’s illness , will it rear its ugly head and drive Clare to the point she puts everything on hold?

And Declan and Leah, those two are quite the characters. I am simply in love with EACH and every one of the characters in this series. J.L. has a writing style like no other that flows effortlessly and if you haven’t read When Your Ready (Clare and Logan), Never Been Ready ( Leah and Declan, or Ready For You (Garrett and Mia) then what are you waiting for? I have given each and every book in this series 5 shining stars, and this is no different! Keep writing J.L, it just keeps getting better and better!

Ready To Wed by J.L. Berg was an incredible novella in the The Ready Series and I happily ever after give it 5 stars! If you haven't read this series yet, I would highly recommend it to everyone, but I will warn that you will smile often, laugh a lot and grab for a tissue or two while reading.

What girl wouldn't want their own hot, sexy doctor??? I can't name one that wouldn't and even under the gloom of having cancer and starting the fight of his life, Logan is the most considerate, loving and caring man that any girl could possibly dream to ask for! Although they are getting married quickly, Logan spares no expense on their destination wedding, making sure that every tradition and wish Clare could possibly imagine is present. And although there are a few hiccups in the days leading up to their wedding, a tattered no so dress of your dreams, a fainting groom, a crying daughter, everything is completely perfect when it comes time to utter their personally written vows. I think I may have even swooned at the words; "I love you Clare. My wife, my lover, my soul."

This may have been a quick short read, it brought the reader closure to the entire series and I was glad that J.L. Berg decided to write it!

Clare, Maddie and Logan are on their way to St. Thomas where they will be married. Logan was diangosed with Cancer and is managing and Clare is going crazy like she is going to forget something. Logan is excited to finally make these 2 beautiful women his family. Even if he has Cancer he will survive and make a life with them.
As they Landed in St. Thomas they eagerly waited for the luggage. The one piece of luggage that Clare didn't want to check finally showed but to her horror. The dress and bag are damaged. This book was simply amazing from the beginning you could tell how much Logan loved both Clare & Maddie and how amazing he was even with living with cancer he still wanted to live his life to the fullest.
Clare no matter how much she wants to stop everything and put it on hold till she knows that Logan is ok. She knows she needs to allow him to have a bit of happiness ! This couple story was truly an amazing one. Logan was dreamy he gave his whole heart to Clare & Maddie for life. And with him going through something scary makes him even more amazing.this novella offered love, romance, a gorgeous and sweet wedding. And even super hot sex! Everything a girl wants to read!I loved how much this book offered love, romance, and a true experience of soul-mates. Plus it gave you tons of Hot steam sex here and there as well! The question was Did Clare finally let go and just get married. Or did her fear of something was going to happen to Logan get the best of her?

I loved Clare and Logan's story in WHEN YOU'RE READY, so I was happy to get to read how their tropical wedding went. J. L. Berg doesn't disappoint with a wedding for Clare and Logan that is so them...full of laughter, a little emotional drama and some very sexy times.

Clare and Logan went through a lot in their story to get to their HEA, so I knew not to expect their quickly put together wedding to go off with some kind of hiccup. But what we got was so Logan and Clare and it proved just how much these two were meant to be together. Their love for each other came through on every page and made me feel like I was right there with him.

As with everything JL Berg writes, I found myself immersed in the story and really didn't want to have it end. The characters and storylines are wonderfully engaging and have me craving the next book from the author. If you haven't picked up a book by JL Berg, definitely considering starting with Clare and Logan's story and ending with their "perfect for them" wedding in READY TO WED.

JL Berg's Ready To Wed is a great continuation of Logan and Clare's story. This novella follows Logan and Clare's wedding in St. Tomas. Well first they have some obstacles to get through to get on their way to the wedding. Logan has his continuing fight with cancer and Clare is in super crazy mode with planning the wedding. The story at times with have you laughing and then crying.

Many things go wrong before the wedding. Clare freaks out and Logan couldn't really care less. The only thing he wants is to make Clare his wife and Maddie his daughter. Now that Logan has everything he wants, he is in a hurry to make sure it is going to be his forever.

I was also super happy that we got a bonus and got to see some more of Declan and Leah!! I am a HUGE fan of Declan and Leah. I loved them and always wanted more of their story!

Ready To Wed was fast read, maybe because I couldn't put it down! I loved getting more of everyone. It is like friends coming home and catching up. I am so glad JL gave us a little more!!
