This book was reviewed by Lee Ashford for Readers' Favorite.

“Lost and Found” by Lorhainne Eckhart is a heart-rending tragedy of grand magnitude, faced by one innocent family against whom it seemed the whole world was allied. It is Book 2 of the “Walk the Right Road” series; Book 3, “Bounty”, is due out any day now.

“Lost and Found” is the story of a man, Richard, who found himself in partnership with one of the most unethical, dishonest, lying, cheating, back-stabbing, philandering cretins to ev

Maggie is a true heroine. A woman who faces unspeakable pain and needs to overcome her depression in order to help her husband save their son. She's already lost her baby girl in a hit and run accident, succumbed to drugs to dull the horrible memories, and lost the respect and trust of everyone around her, including her little boy. She's turned away friends and let her demons win. Now the woman will face the biggest battle of her life. Can she stop the forces that want to jail her husband for mu ...more

Just finished this one and was really a nail bitter. I was on edge the whole book and couldn't put it down for the last 50pgs. The development of the characters was pleasing and story line gripping . Yes it's sad but I really felt a whole range of emotions throughout this book. Thank you L. Eckhart I really enjoyed the ride! ...more

Heart wrenching

I was caught by the first page and couldn't stop reading this book. I think there is a lot of truth about the government and the way they mishandle a lot of cases with children involved. Loved this book.

This book starts out with what every parent fears: the death of a young child. Maggie and Richard try to deal with her death in their own ways, but things aren't going well at all. Maggie is hooked on prescription drugs, Richard is (again) mixed up with his shady ex-partner, Dan, and their young son, Riley, is suffering the effects of his parent's grief.

The book is interesting in a lot of ways, dealing with grief, special needs children, drug abuse, etc. But, the plot is very involved, with a lo

Maggie and Richard are dealt a horrible blow which could quite possibly tear them apart. Just as Dan McKenzie appears back in their lives, all hell breaks loose which may leave their family irrevocably broken and Richard fighting for his freedom.

This is an emotional tale filled with a roller coaster of drama, edge of your seat tension, heartbreaking loss and so many twists and turns you’ll find yourself dizzy with anticipation of how it’s all going to end. It’s an engrossing tale that will grab

Dead or alive

Wow, what a great first book for this author. Amazing!! A happy family of four goes from a fun day outside with the family to the loss of their small child, then what seems like a breathe, being accused of murder of a partner.. How do you get through that? What seems unbearable and unbelievable; is what happens when family and friends pull together for one another. It is a story you don't want to miss. I read this book in one day, couldn't put it down. Great book!!🍒

Had this book in my kindle for a while; figured I read it. Did not realize it was the second book in the series. The plot was a bit choppy and since it was a continuation from the first book; some parts of it were confusing.

Richard and Maggie are getting over a horrible loss; and someone from their past comes back and disrupts their lives some more. It was a quick read (just took me a while to actually finish it).

This was quite the emotional story. Lorhainne has the reader exploring lots of their emotions. You can’t help but want to read the rest of the series. A story about a family that has one tragedy after another and how they manage to stay strong even at their weakest moments.

A slow read

While the story line has some excellent p!ot twists and turns it had quite a few moments when it seemed to drag on forever. It's not the worst book I've ever read.

A book that is difficult to put down. A story of people, drugs, love and death.. I found this book interesting which captivated my interest in the story. Now I have to get the series to see what happens.

This was a very good read. At first I found it a little convoluted which made for slow reading but after I got all the characters down - and there are a lot - it was a great book!

In the beginning of this book I could not put it down . I liked the character Maggie and the pain she needs to overcome in life. Her baby girl had been killed in a hit and run accident. Now a year later she wants to get off medication and live again with her husband and son. After moving back everything seems to be going ok when her husband Richard is charged with the murder of his unethical, dishonest work partner Dan. I was somewhat lost because I did not read the first book and that's wh

This was a great book. I really sad and tough but really a great book. When a family looses their daughter they begin to fall apart like any family could. People blame others and then their selves and pretty soon you are looking at a divorce. The hard thing is that they also have a son. So while the mother is taking pills to sleep and get through the day and the dad is minding his own business just trying to survive..It seems everyone has forgotten about their older boy. When the dad realizes wh ...more

This book bridges several genres - Western romance, (it's really a genre!) mystery & family melodrama. A free Nook book, it did keep me entertained, even tho it was confusing & uneven, the ending abrupt. What first appears to be the book's core theme - a child's death goes unresolved. All in all not satisfying, but it was free. ...more
