Fuck this entire book, fuck Jet, fuck Elira, fuck Amara and fuck Anya too. Gabriel deserves a better woman and a sister. Idk why I keep on reading this fuckass series, hoping it’s gonna get better

I had such high expectations for this book but was so disappointed. It felt more like a thriller than romance to me.
I also could not help but feel like this book was preparing us more about Jet and Anya.
To be completely honest, I could not see the chemistry between Gabriel and Amara.
I could not care about the plot really. There was more conversation between Amara and Elmira than Gabriel.
I DNF’d at around 30%.

Tengo sentimientos encontrados.
Por un lado la trama es mucho mas elaborada qué en los primeros libros de esta serie, pero por el otro el romance estuvo flojo.
todo avanza muy lento. slow burn en toda regla.
Amara es de los mejores personajes de Eva, por fin una heroína fuerte, (por algo fue criada por Liana), pero le dio tantas vueltas y el final fue tan soso que no llegó.
con esta autora nunca logro poner check en todas las casillas 🤣🤣
Me generó gran interés el libro siguiente.

Action-packed story from beginning to end! I love a morally gray heroine and Eva did not disappoint. My only complaint was that the breadcrumbs for the next story was so good, it overshadowed this story at times. Also, the heroine had a bit of a personality transplant by the end of the story 🤷🏻♀️. I didn't hate it (her change in personality), but I would have like seeing her keep her sharper edges. Regardless, I still really enjoyed it and glad I read it in both the context of the series as well as for the next-gen nostalgia with seeing so many of my favorite characters.

Gabriel and Amara's Story
This is a continuation of the various storylines that the author has woven over the years. It is not one of my favorites, and I have read all of her books.
Gabriel Santos is a brave, dominant, and loyal character. He has loved Amara Brennan for years, and he makes a questionable decision because of it, allowing himself to be kidnapped.
Amara is annoying in so many ways. She is gullible, blindly believing the Satan twins who aren't really her siblings even though she claims that they are. She acts very liberated and tough, but she is really all talk.
The ending is not uplifting. Gabriel continues to suffer because of the selfish and foolish actions of others. Reading the next book that features Jet and Anya is not high on my priority when it is released.

First of all, I have high hopes after reading Enzo. But then, I read Nikola so I’d expect something to happen. BUT! Why is Gabriel and Amara’s story felt like a novella to Jet and Anya’s story? There’s no chemistry between Gabriel and Amara. Tension? Barely there. Interactions? There but not enough.
The book’s like 20% introduction and then we know Jet wanted Anya then the remaining 60% is Gabriel got kidnapped and the little here and there in the yacht with barely any action or scene and alot of Amara’s distrust and there’s really nothing at all! I just glance through every page cos I know it’s abit of this and that and just Gabriel cuffed and the 2 ladies bringing food to him. And the next 2% js Amara and Gabriel watching movie with popcorn and their sexy time. Then Amara decided that she trust Gabriel and she likes him back. The last 18% is finally the action! But short lived cos Eva decided to blind Gabriel like how she removed Hannah’s kidney, make Nikolai limp, killed Luca’s little Amara… Then, only we can see Amara’s affection and love. And they got married and they live happily ever after….
I just don’t like it cos it feels like in Gabriel’s book, Gabriel and Amara is the side character/second lead to Jet and Anya when it’s supposed to be the other way round!! Why does half the book have to be in the yacht where there’s barely anything happening and just this and that with nothing going on? I’ve loved Gabriel since he was Sailor’s little boy! Ever since I read Raphael, I’m anticipating Gabriel the most! And yet, it’s disappointing cos Gabriel deserves more storyline and plot. I want to see Gabriel in action! How was he like in the cartel but no. He’s always stalking Amara as if that’s his life purpose with no multitasking of handling the cartel and some action on the side.
In the end, just 2 stars. 1 star for Gabriel’s optimism and 1 star for Eva cos I loved all her books prior and will still read cos I love all her characters.

“Gabriel” is the story of Amara and Gabriel.
Oblivious and vengeful heroine kidnaps smitten hero on her twin step siblings’ advice. Most of the book is focused on the next book couple- Jet and Anya and we actually see little romance between Mcs book-what we know is that the hero adores her - and has for years - and the heroine is a “badass”.
I also struggled to like the heroine and the twins as they were all manipulative and the hero deserved better- atleast better apology and grovel from all of them.
My heart felt heavy after reading this book. This whole series has been dark- book one someone lost an organ, book two hero lost use of their legs, book three had the death of a child and book four the hero is blinded thanks to the shenanigan of heroine and her siblings. I appreciate that the author doesn’t take the easy way out and makes everything magically resolve, but sometimes I wish she did because god all these characters are suffering.

3.5 Stars.......I felt Gabriel needed more I loved him in previous books and felt like his story was gonna top the others.... unfortunately it didn't!!!
It felt like ( and others have said the same ) that it was a set up for the next book which is Jet and Anya's story and I felt like yes include it in this but as a back story not quite literally take over the whole book and Gabriel and Amara's book!!! I will of course read Jet's book but feel like I already know what has happened!
Gabriel has loved Amara for years ever since he first laid eyes on her even though her twin siblings have tried to keep them apart.....Gabe has never ever kept his eyes off Amara. When Jet gives him an ultimatum give him Anya ( Gabe's sister ) for his own sister Amara, he's of course torn as he wants Amara but doesn't want his own sister with him.....Gabe of course wants Amara to come to him herself and not be forced but what he doesn't know is that Amara will force herself into his life when she along with her sister kidnap Gabe after Jet goes missing she wants answers but can Gabe give them to her?
As I said before this felt as though it was a stepping stone for Jet's book and felt rushed and I honestly wanted better for Gabriel...... towards the end about 60% in I did actually enjoy it more when the story seemed to be going somewhere and it focused on Gabe and Amara!! I'm just hoping we see more of these two in the next books because I think we need them there.

I rated this book 3.75 stars, and honestly, I think it’s the first time I’ve ever given an Eva book such a “low” rating. 😅 Where do I even start? Without spoilers, I have to say this story felt a bit conflicting from beginning to end.
The premise introduces us to Amara and Gabriel, a fiery couple, but I honestly felt like they were pushed into the background. Yes, the story revolves around them, but at the same time, they didn’t feel like the main focus. Based on the blurb (which already mentions Amara kidnapping Gabriel—so not a spoiler), I was expecting something very different. I thought Amara might lean into a morally grey character, and that got me excited… but it didn’t go that way.
In the end, the book left me with mixed feelings: some moments I enjoyed, others had me straight up hating certain characters. And while I didn’t fully connect, I still want to read the next book.
Eva, if you’re reading this: I adore you, and I’ll be here for whatever comes next. 💕 It’s just that after something as powerful as Enzo, Gabriel felt like it dropped the intensity for me. But hey—this is my honest opinion.

I’ve read quite a few books by Eva but unfortunately this one completely missed the mark. I went into it thinking I’d get a strong FMC and already obsessed MC, and what I got was a holy hot mess instead. I’ve never read a book that was able to make the plot ENTIRELY about another couple before. This should’ve been a prelude to Jet and Anya to be honest.
The whole book revolves around Amara kidnapping Gabriel due to instructions from her brother Jet. The whole charade was so Jet could marry Gabriel’s sister. And that’s the whole book. It completely took away from Amara and Gabriel. He spends at least 60% of the book in cuffs. The chemistry is so weird and again the whole thing is about Jet? I didn’t like Amara, until the end she gained a little more credit, and I REALLY dislike Jet and Elvira or whatever her name is. Gabe was semi decent so he’s what the one star is for. Also, zero smut and zero plot. Pick another one of her books.

Confused
More than half of this book was built around Jet & Anya….. Gabriel & Amara didn’t begin until 70% in and then it was rushed and nothing felt organic. It was a struggle to finish this book which is unfortunate because I like most of her other books. This one just felt chaotic and out of order.

Okay at this point I even think she pitty married Gabriel since he was blind because of her . They had zero chemistry and the whole damn book is about fuckin hey where the fuck has this guy been in the other bajillion books anyways this wasn’t supposed to be his book it’s Gabriel’s . I and very disappointed in how this series is going .

Gabriel (Legacy of Heathens # 4) by Eva Winners tells the story of Gabriel and Amara. Gabriel has had a thing for Amara for years. However, Amara has been fighting her feelings for Gabriel. Amara has her own issues due to her bizarre upbringing. She has no problem killing, and she can certainly protect herself, considering she is the heir to the Irish mob. When her pseudo psychotic twin siblings: Jet and Elira enlist her in a plot that involves Gabriel, things go terribly wrong. Initially, Jet has made it clear Gabriel isn't good enough for Amara. Now Jet has made a proposition to Gabriel involving Anya: Gabriel's little sister. When the plot goes left between Gabriel, Amara, and the twins, Gabriel has to find a way to break down Amara's wall. She has to choose between Gabriel and her siblings. Even though the premise of the story was a little silly, I still enjoyed Gabriel and Amara. The journey of her fighting her feelings for Gabriel as he lays it all on the line was swoon worthy. I am looking forward to the next book, which has a lot to do with the plot of this story, and there are plenty of questions that have not been answered. Regardless of my reservations, I give this story 4 stars. I need the next book right now.

This was the worst in the second generation’s series. The book was a bad combination of a mismatched couple, a preview for Jet & Anya’s story, & (another) incredibly sad / depressing ending for a book claiming to offer an HEA.
There’s also an issue with how the author has written this series in general. She claims her stories all have HEA’s, but in this series has added devastatingly awful consequences for the couples. She claims that readers are warned based on the trigger warnings at the beginning of the books. That’s not the point. Readers expecting an HEA are also assuming that the couple will not be permanently injured / hurt (physically or emotionally) by incidents in the novels. The recent novels include disfigurement & terminal cancer. To restate the obvious, those issues are not aspects of an HEA ending!
Ms. Winners is a wonderful author, but risks losing her readers by continuing to write tragic events / situations for each novel’s couple. The books’ trigger warnings aren’t a substitute for endings with the main couple hurt / injured. Those circumstances completely undermine the idea of an HEA.
This book was such a disappointment! With the trend of this series having such awful scenarios for the main characters, it’s hard to want to read anything else in this series. The books’ trigger warnings should read something akin to: “reader will be horribly disappointed with the ending, even if the couple winds up together”!

The last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat.
Gabriel Santos has been Amara's shadow ever since he saw her across their college campus.
Amara has been denying her feelings ever since.
She has no problem killing and protecting herself, considering her upbringing.
When her twin siblings rope her into a scheme that involves abducting Gabriel.
What they don't know is that Gabriel let himself be abducted. He wants to know what Jet is up to and what his interest is in his sister. And he plans to use the time with Amara to win her over.
When the scheme goes awry, Amara claims that she and Gabriel are engaged to maintain peace between their families. She just hopes Gabriel agrees.

I love a mafia romance where he falls hard and Gabriel fits that bill. He's always been obsessed with Amara though he's unwilling to sell his sister to her stepbrother to have her. Her stepbrother causes trouble though and she sets off to kidnap Gabriel when things start to go a wry. Im a sucker for an age gap so I found several tropes in this book to be enjoyable. Gabriel felt like the cat playing with the mouse as he patiently tries to make Amara his. Amara is loyal to her stepsiblings and girl friends. I liked she had a bit of an edge and was bold enough for her plan with Gabriel. This book did drop breadcrumbs for the next couple and I neeeeed their book. it felt like that may have shined a little bit more than Gabriel and Amara's story but either way I'm excited to continue the series.

I swear, every time Eva drops a new book in the Evaverse, I fall deeper in love with her world. Gabriel and Amara are officially one of my favorite couples she’s given us,both of them were so tough, strong, and layered, and I loved reading their story. 🙌🏼
But let’s be real, Eva will NEVER stop traumatizing us with the Legacy series. Just when you think things are finally going to be okay, she hits us with a twist that feels like a stab straight to the heart.❤️🩹
What really stood out here was how beautifully the story centered on Gabriel and Amara, while still laying down the perfect hype for Jetmir’s book. And let me tell you,I am counting the days until his story drops!

What really stood out here was how beautifully the story centered on Gabriel and Amara, while still laying down the perfect hype for Jetmir’s book. And let me tell you,I am counting the days until his story drops!

Minus the fact that it felt a tad rushed it was still a fantastic book that I couldn’t put down. This book is filled with obsession, family loyalty, and dangerous secrets. Gabriel has been obsessed with Amara for years, but she’s always ignored her attraction to him until circumstances force them together. When Amara is tasked with taking Gabriel and keeping him under her care, the walls between them finally start to crack. What unfolds is a dark, passionate, and addictive romance that proves sometimes it’s okay to give into the feelings you’ve been fighting for so long. So good.

Gabriel is the 4th book in the Legacy of Heathens series, but unfortunately it was my least favorite. This one just didn't work for me for a few reasons.
Gabriel has been obsessed with Amara for years, but has had to bide his time till he can make her his because her psycho twin step-siblings won't let him get near her. Amara's stepbrother has decided he wants Gabriel's sister Anya and is willing to go to dangerous lengths to get her, against Gabriel's wishes. Amara's brother Jet sends her on a mission to kidnap Gabriel and she does it without even knowing what her brother is really planning. Gabriel already knows what she is planning and goes along with it so he can get her to see how they belong together.
I could not buy into this relationship because it felt completely one-sided. Amara has no feelings or interest in him for most of the book, yet all of a sudden she is declaring her love after the consequences of her twins actions come into play at the end. I loved Gabriel and I thought he deserved a big grovel from Amara.
This book was also mostly a setup for the next one about Jet and Anya. While their story was intriguing, I just wished more time was spent building the romance between Gabriel and Amara.

I was looking for more in this book. Out of all the kids, Gabriel was one I was really looking forward to reading. I loved his playfulness and banter in the previous books. I believe Gabriel deserved a better storyline. I've been waiting for this love story for a while, and after reading it, it did not hold a candle to the 3 previous books. I was looking for a better plot. I cried from the time he couldn't see to the end of the book. I was so disappointed that his sight never came back or the fact that it left us wondering if she ever got pregnant. This is one of the Legacy books I won't be rereading. I just feel like Gabriel deserved so much more. Rating 3.75.

This one was just okay for me. I usually love all her books, but with the second generation, I feel like this one and Nikola could have been better. This one felt way too rushed, with no real build up of the relationship. It was like more time was spent talking about her twin siblings than on the main characters.

I feel like I’m in a toxic relationship bc why do I keep coming back for more? this honestly felt more like a prologue for Jet and Anya’s book. Gabriel and Amara were side characters in their own story and I don’t even know if I should be happy or sad about that because they have zero chemistry. spoiler alert: and then he goes blind at the end??? what is this author’s obsession with ruining her protagonists’ endings omg. at this rate she’s just gonna lose readers because honestly I have zero interest in reading the next ones and apparently I’m not the only one 👀
