This had alllll the Hallmark movie vibes, complete with big city girl falling for a farm boy. Brooks was a sweetie himbo type, with complete devotion to his family. Sydney was grumpy and closed off, but quickly developed a soft spot for Brooks and Hallow’s Cove. Their story was sugar sweet.

Spice: 4/5

Triggers: blackmail, mentions of money difficulties, abusive marriage (side character), risk of drowning

Thank you L.E. Eldridge for the ARC!

Trigger or content warning? Yes, included in book.

Details?
FMC’s name is Sydney. MMC’s name is Brooks. Neither of their ages were mentioned but while reading i assumed they were both somewhere between late twenties and early thirties.
Sydney can’t remember the last time she had sex but she is experienced, and usually prefers one night stands.
No details for Brooks besides the fact that he prefers one night stands.
Condoms are not used, both have been checked and were clear.

My thoughts?
“Why was there a cow at my window?” -first line of this book.

With that first line I found myself hooked, and it set up the quaint and homey vibes of the family farm Brooks has taken over from previous generations. This piece of Hallow’s Cove was just another to the puzzle, and so far I’ve really loved everything I’ve read. It is a town where the internet isn’t prioritized and “homey” might as well be right in the brochure. A slice of happiness while being able to disconnect from the world around you.
I love some grumpy FMC and sunshine MMC dynamics. It was satisfying to watch Sydney thaw towards him, and realize that he was someone who she can trust. Jake is Brook’s best friend, and he is a racoon shifter. So I found it funny that while Sydney was having a hard time trusting Brooks, she was also being sussed out by a very wary racoon-shifter. Also the fact that he runs a thrift shop is one of my favourite things. There is a duck named Chicken, who endeared me the same as he did for Sydney. Having a pet duck added many charisma points for Brooks, and Chicken is definitely his own personality. Anyways, that was mt small ramble about all of the things that I love about the book.

I really enjoyed the book!
Both main characters were great. Brooks was such a sweet guy, flirty and charming, but also respectful of others and very caring. Sydney with her professional mask seemed a little cold at first, but whenever it cracked and she salivated at the sight of Brooks' hotness, she was bloody adorable.
I liked the smutty scenes, it's not common to see such a big guy dominated by a small woman in paranormal romances. I'm pretty used to reading about alpha males and their submissive women often being dominated with a bit of degradation, humiliation or pain, and I'm over it. It was nice to see a very different situation, and the domination not being a harsh one was a plus for me.
A few of the background characters were cute, but Matilda and Richard took the cake! I loved seeing Barnaby and Maisie happy and adorable together ;)
I didn't give the book 5 stars, because I didn't love the the ending. I'd prefer if all the issues took a bit longer to resolve, she was worried for most of the story about the blackmail and she got it solved in a few minutes. I get it was a cozy and sweet romance, but the stakes felt higher for 80% of the book ;) saying that I had a lot of fun reading the novel.

This town is one of my FAVORITES! Such a perfect dose of small town, cozy, and filthy monster fucking, ya know?

Brooks was SO AHHHHH *climbing up walls and purring* something about a small town farmer with abs of steel really does something for me.

Sydney was so fun to get to know and to watch her growth. From dead end job she barely liked, to accepting her photography skills and choosing to be happy.

PLUS A PET DUCK NAMED CHICKEN?!?

Satyr MMC// human FMC // pegging // bi MMC // a bit of grumpy/sunshine // MMC is a bit of a golden retriever

Super sweet and spicy little novella! I would love to live in Hallow’s Cove. Brooks and Sydney were so cute together even if she was a bit prickly but that was no trouble for Brooks! There’s a pet duck named chicken, some out doors fun and my fave, pegging 🤌🏼🔥

Cute monster romance between a city girl, who thinks she should be doing something to earn money and not what she loves, and a country boy, i mean, faun, who runs the family farm and has never wanted to settle down... until now.

Slow start but once it got hot and heavy it was GO TIME.

I am just not vibing with the book in general and Sydney in particular. But her “now how am I gonna sabotage the farm accreditation?” thought process after already starting to fall for Brooks just did me in. She was so passive towards the blackmail subplot. Just a fleeting “man I sure hope this works out in the end.” And I know it WILL work out, since it is a cozy romance, I just have no interest in getting there.

I didn’t even get to any of the content forewarned pegging. What a shame.

***Mild spoilers***

This book started out interesting but I quickly got very annoyed with the heroine Sydney. This is her first field experience and she knows it's going to be on a farm and instead of packing appropriate clothes, she wears heels. She complains about getting stuck in the mud and the next day, wears heels again, but then acts confused when Brooks takes her to the store to buy appropriate boots and jeans. Another thing that really irritated me because it made no sense whatsoever, she puts on the hero's sweatpants and tshirt after her suitcase gets wet, and then sprays perfume on herself. Lady, you are going to bed after this and are in sweats, why the hell are you putting perfume on.

Basically, Sydney was ridiculous and I am getting so frustrated with her so I am going to stop here.

PS. I liked Brooks and his pet duck, Chicken. Also his family seemed nice but I can’t get past Sydney's stupidity.

TW: blackmail; spousal abuse (not the MCs);

Going Au Naturale is the second novella in the Hallow's Cove series and was a really sweet, fun and sexy adventure on Hoffman Farms. Sydney and Brooks are brought together in the most mundane of circumstances - obtaining an organic certification for his farm - and they find each other along the way. Despite the short length, both of the main characters felt developed, their attraction made sense and the progression and circumstances of their relationship were fully realized. Also, who knew satyrs had knots?! Within this novella, there is an antagonistic character who attempts to blackmail Sydney and this is the only part I didn't like. The conflict felt forced and unnecessary, and this would have been an otherwise lovely and cozy book without that conflict.

Thank you to L. E. Eldridge for providing me with an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

ARC REVIEW!!!
First and foremost, I am normally a pretty slow reader, however, I was able to breeze through this book so quickly. This was such a cute story filled with longing and need between the two main characters that I just could not get enough of it. The spice was perfect and didn't outshine the plot itself but rather enhanced it. I loved that we got a nod back to the main characters from book one of the series and that we were able to get introduced to MMC for the next book without giving away too many details about what he is going to be like. The only thing I wish is that we got more scenes with that "pesky pet duck," Chicken, he was absolutely adorable, and I need a Chicken for myself in my own life.

Brooks is a satyr, working on improving his family's farm, and Sydney is the human auditor from the organic farm certification business. These two have instant chemistry. I loved Syd being a little bit of a domme. And I loved Brooks encouraging her to follow her passion.

I loved meeting more of the Hallow's Cove community. I can't wait for Jake! I also hope there is justice for Gwen (and Gabe...?)

Auditor Sydney ends up going out to the country to complete an organic assessment for Brooks's family farm. She is unsure of how she's gotten here in life and loving the change of pace. She spends time on the farm and is falling in love with the scenery.. and those around her. After a water incident at the inn, she is forced to stay in the spare room at Brooks's house, and it doesn't take long before they hook up.

I absolutely loved this cozy romance. It is a relatively short burn for the length of the book.

4 ⭐️ Another cute story from Hollows Cove! Brooks is determined to ensure his family’s farm stays afloat, but when the beautiful Sydney comes to his farm for business, Brooks will do whatever to charm the strict lady from the city as well. This was a cute and fast paced read. Both Brooks and Sydney are such fun characters, and with their banter and the drama going on, I had a very fun time. The book is quite short, so things happend quite quickly, but I didn’t really mind it. Overall, this was a very cute story, and if you like small town, insta love, monsters and modern farm life, this is a book for you! A big thank you to the author for providing me with an arc of their story!

This was a really sweet and quite spicy read. I was so happy to be able to go back to Hallow's Cove and meet new characters. The setting continues to be so cozy and sweet and I would love to vacation in Hallow's Cove.

Sydney and Brooks were well-developed and I enjoyed watching their relationship grow. They complement each other so well as a couple and hoo boy do they bring the spice!

The conflict was rather flimsy to me, and it ended up being resolved quite easily. To me, I don't know that it was even needed and it was the only part of the story I wasn't wild about.

I cannot wait for the next book in the Hallow's Cove series and I highly recommend it!

Thank you to the author for an ARC!

Oh my godddd I loved this book!! It’s like a monster romance and a cowboy romance had a baby! Sydney was so feisty I love her. Brooks would not usually be my kind of MMC, but I really enjoyed him! Chicken is definitely my favorite character, though.

The spice in this book was a little different than what I normally read, but it was a very…entertaining…difference. I was a teeny bit disappointed that certain things weren’t used more 👀 but I can definitely look past it for a four 🌶️ book!

"I could already tell this was going to be a long day. Especially if Brooks kept that shirt unbuttoned." - Sydney

This is the break Sydney needed in her career to hopefully launch her corporate job to the next level. No more living check to check and paying for the absolute essentials! First time in the field and she can do this, or so she hopes. . . Sydney just has to inspect a farm in the middle of nowhere and then return to the city.

From day one of being in Hallow's Cove things aren't working out the way she had planned. Upon meeting her rescuer and the owner of the farm she is to look Sydney forgets the definition of plan. How can she stay professional when this very attractive satyr is spoiling her and making her fall in love with the town and the farm?! Not to mention Chicken highly approves of her! But when an old college enemy pops up with intent to blackmail, Sydney will have to choose what's most important to her and for her. . .

"She looked at Chicken, then back at me. "I know it's the wrong color, but it’s shaped way more like a duck than a chicken.” I couldn't help it; I laughed. A knee-bending, belly laugh." - Brooks

I read this novella in one night! I didn't want it to end but I just couldn't put it down! I knew I'd love Chicken the moment he was introduced I was not wrong! Matilda and Bridget also became favorites! The books in the "Hallow's Cove" series can be read out of order but there will be some minor spoilers. Easter eggs of previous characters and new ones to be featured as main characters in future novellas!

I can relate to Sydney so much! Her black cat energy would very much match mine and we would also be able to share clothes! She's trying to survive and make her life better than what her home life had been. Growing up poor it takes a while to get out of survival mode and to start living for yourself. I enjoyed the buildup to the end and the decisions Sydney had to face. Reorganizing what's most important to her not to mention her cleverness that came in clutch!

Brooks, I just want to hug the giant satyr. He reminds me a lot of my partner right down to a line he says within the book. I loved his attitude and how he isn't turned off or really phased by Sydney's sharpness at times. The golden retriever and black cat pairing is dear to me because that's my husband and I dynamic. Brooks is definitely a book boyfriend! How caring he is, ensures Syndey's needs are met even if she doesn't voice it aloud, his patience, and just all of him really! I appreciated the little details Eldridge placed in showcasing Brooks' satyr side.

This novella is on the lighter side being a cozy, small town romance. Do read through the very short list of CWs, the last one had me grinning and excited to dive in! There's a well written, slimy character in this book who threatens blackmail. Language is present along with anxiety and crisis feelings concerning what to do about blackmail. Again, things don't get too heavy, but I really hope there will be justice for one of the sweet side characters!

There's a slow burn to this read but both of them are fighting instant attraction. Dual POVs to help showcase the struggles. I loved their dynamic and banter! Teasing banter along with getting to know each other and what they like. They're both switches and we get some very spicy Dom/Sub play! There's a very special scene at the end of the book that I thoroughly enjoyed. Was honestly my first time reading a scene like it and I am addicted. The intimacy and trust between the two.

I'm going to read more of Eldridge's works! We have an HEA for the main characters but more to come for Hallow's Cove. The cozy small town that has more of a monster population compared to the rest of the world. I want to move to Hallow's Cove immediately!

Enjoy the novella with steamy, monster romance, a duck who's named Chicken, and so much more! Don't forget to give the author some stars!

“Had your fill?” Brooks asked with a grin. I felt my cheeks heat in embarrassment. Of course he noticed me looking, I wasn’t being very sneaky. “I suppose.” “Don’t worry, honey. I haven’t had my fill either.”

What you’ll find in this book:
- Satyr x Human
- Mischievous Pet Duck
- Outdoor Antics
- Golden Retriever BF/Black Cat GF
- Slow Burn
- Farmer and City Girl
- Dual POV
- MF Small Town Cozy Monster Romance

This book perfectly delivered on the cozy monster romance vibes in line with the first book in the series, while allowing us the chance to explore more of Hallow’s Cove providing us with wonderful small town aspect of the series. If you’re looking or a book that is an easy read full of banter and charm that’ll make you blush and spice that will make you hot under the collar, all while rolled up in a monster romance set in the quaintest and coziest small town where a satyr farmer falls head of heels for a no nonsense city girl than look no further. Delivering on all this and so much more, I gobbled up this book in no time at all and already can’t wait for the next book in this series of interconnected standalones.

With a dual POV, we follow Brooks, the owner of Hoffmans farms in hallows cove and a satyr, and Sydney, a human organic certification auditor from the city. We begin by meeting both of our main characters separately before fate and an organic certification puts them in each other’s paths. Brooks shows Sydney was life is like outside of the city, and they get closer and closer through a series of unfortunate events. We read as they fight their obvious attraction for one another, and the devious machination of someone from Sydney’s past blackmailing her into failing the farm. With everything both she and Brooks have worked for being on the line will Sydney make the right choice taking her feelings into consideration.

I adored getting to know Brooks and Sydney, a farmer and a city girl who find themselves toeing the line between professionalism and passion when Sydney comes to audit the farm that Brooks owns. The clumsy and banterful nature between these two is absolutely wonderful to read and only further embellishes the cozy vibes. Sydney starts of as a character who is very much no nonsense, she knows what her ambitions are and nothing will get in her way. That is until she meets Brooks who shows her what life is like outside of the city, and encourages her to believe in herself. Brooks on the other hand knows exactly who he is and this doesn’t change throughout the book, cheeky and with charm for days, family is the most important thing to him and keeping his farm afloat. I adored getting to know all of the Hoffmans, and their unique personalities as well as other members of Hallow Coves community.

This book is one that can be easily read in one go, the pages just fly by as you’re reading and before you know it you’re at the end. The spice is absolute perfect and first with the characters and their developing relationship, while the plot was easy to follow with stakes high enough to keep me invested and engaged from page to page. I’m excited to read the next book in this series already and explore more of Hallows Cove, this book really expanded on the world building but I cannot wait for more.

Thank you so much to the author for sending me an e-ARC to read and review early.

This book made me do the 90’s movie “kick your feet and scream into a pillow because something just made you so incredibly happy” thing. I looooooved Au Naturale so freakin’ much! And you know what’s best about this book series!?? That we get to continue seeing our favorite characters pop up in other books because the entire series is intertwined!

Sydney is tasked to visit a farm in Hollow’s Cove that has just recently applied to get their “Organic Certification”. Her goal is to get in, take notes, report back to her company, get out, and continue her underwhelming successful life in the city. However, she quickly realizes that the people of Hollow’s Cove and the place itself pulls at her heartstrings unlike where she currently resides. The people here are friendly & lovely and watch out for each other. And the sight and beauty that is Hollow’s Cove? A photographer’s absolute dream — she being a photographer. But when an old college acquaintance blackmails her into failing the farm’s organic report, she has no choice but to do so. Otherwise he’ll spill her biggest secret that will absolutely ruin her career and potentially even get her college degree revoked.

A few years ago Brooks was handed the deed to the family farm. As the years have gone by he’s realized that the cost of keeping the farm afloat and his family fed vs. the cost of maintaining the farm doesn’t match. All the while, a snobby businessman offers to buy him out, but Brooks declines as he has a plan to strategically keep finances up. By becoming a certified Organic Farm, Brooks hopes that he and his family can charge more for their produce, livestock and goods—allowing them to maintain their farm lifestyle without taking the financial deep dive. As the Organic auditor surveys the farm, Brooks finds himself completely enraptured by her. Sydney is aloof and holds her smiles, but he knows he can get under her skin and make a home for himself in her heart. But will this affect the farms organic report? Brooks cares, but knows that Sydney matters more in his heart. He’ll find a way to make it work and thus begins this beautiful adventure to win Sydney’s heart.

Guys, this book gave me butterflies! It was so cute and had just the right amount of spice. And can we talk about how Brooks’ pet duck, Chicken, is totally giving main character energy? Absolutely adorable! I can’t wait to read the rest of the Hollow’s Cove books! If this is what we have in store for the rest of the series, then I want to read them all.

Thank you L. E. Eldridge for giving me the opportunity to read Au Naturale before its release date! 🫶🏼

Sydney is the FMC and Brooks is the MMC. This story was so cute and a quick read. This was the first book I have read from L.E Eldridge and it definitely will NOT be the last! At first Sydney was a bit mean but I understood her point of view-She is used to the city life and worked her behind off to get to where she is now. From the moment Sydney met Brooks they had a connection and as much as Sydney tried to keep it professional in the end she could not resists Brook's charms ( I seriously cannot blame her-she is better than me-I would have folded immediately!). Brooks is everything a woman could want, he is charming, hard working, open minded and family oriented. From the start you notice how close he is with his family and how lovely they all are.

Now, don't be fooled. Brooks is all of that and MORE because the spicy scenes are *SPICY* 10 out of 10 I recommend if you are into spice and a few Kinks 😏🤭. The entire book is not just about smut of course, it has a storyline and other side characters that are interesting as well. I do want to take a moment to discuss the star of this book and it is not Sydney or Brooks but a Duck-yes, a Duck whose name is Chicken! I seriously want to have a chicken in my life, every time he was mentioned I was smiling like an idiot. That Duck was living his best life!

This is one of the books I will definitely reread again, it is a 'feel good' kinda book and will have you laughing in some scenes (particularly the scene with Chicken in the pond and Sydney 😭). I did wish to read more about Matilda and Brooks grandfather they were so cute! I understand they were side characters and not necessarily relevant to the story but their instant love made me want to know more of what happened to them! Also, Call me petty but I also wished that the 'bad guy' of this story had a worst ending. Maybe I will need to read the other books in the series maybe if Gwen has a story-I will be checking the rest of the books in the series for sure. I received this book apart of the ARC team and I am so grateful to have had this opportunity to read this book, it has made me discover a new favorite author!

Okay, so if you’re into small towns, charming satyrs, and the kind of romance that makes you go aww and woah at the same time—this is your next read. Sydney Jacobs, a city girl turned organic certification auditor, finds herself in the middle of nowhere (aka Hallow's Cove) to audit Hoffman Farms. What she didn’t sign up for? Brooks Hoffman—a flirty, golden retriever-energy satyr who’s absolutely not what she expected... and maybe exactly what she needed.

There’s a simmering attraction between these two from the start, but Sydney’s got a lot on her plate, like being blackmailed by her college nemesis and trying not to fall for Brooks, who’s already got a farm, a pet duck named Chicken, and maybe a soft spot for her. As the pressure mounts with her work and their undeniable chemistry, you’ll be on the edge of your seat, wondering if they can make it work or if they’ll go down in flames—au naturale style.

What really sets this apart from other monster romances is the dynamic between the two leads. Brooks? He’s a big, gentle giant (literally and figuratively) who brings the perfect blend of flirtiness and caring. Sydney? A bit prickly at first, but trust me, she’s adorable once her professional mask cracks. Bonus points for the smut—yes, it’s spicy, and the role reversal here (with Brooks in the sub position) is chef’s kiss refreshing. No alpha dominance nonsense—just some consensual, playful energy that feels so much better.

The town of Hallow’s Cove is basically a character in itself, with a sense of community and support that’ll make you want to move there. The writing is cozy, the secondary characters pop, and the town’s vibe flows seamlessly from one book to the next in this shared-world series. This was a fun, heartfelt, and spicy little gem, and I’m already craving more of these characters. If you’re looking for a unique, sweet, and steamy romance, this one’s definitely a keeper.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Gleeful Goblin Review: I was already going to read and almost certainly enjoy this book (and I was right) so I was pre-stoked when I heard this author was writing a novel set in Hallow's Cove. Then I saw there was a mischievous duck involved and I shrieked aloud. AND THE SHRIEK WAS JUSTIFIED. Chicken The Duck is what happens if Loki had relations with the chaos duck from Aflac commercials and makes this hysterical bridge between our Golden Retriever MMC and our Black Cat FMC. ""Brooks," I heard her call and turned around. "I think this one is in the wrong place." When she turned slightly, I saw Chicken's blue head tilted to the side, looking up at her. "Oh, that's Chicken," I said. She looked at Chicken, then back at me. "I know it's the wrong color, but it’s shaped way more like a duck than a chicken.” I couldn't help it; I laughed. A knee-bending, belly laugh. Tears came to my eyes, and my abs hurt by the time I was done. "What's so funny?" she asked. Her cheeks reddened in embarrassment. "Is this some strange kind of chicken I didn’t know about?” I wiped a tear from my eye. "No, that's not a chicken, he’s my pet duck named Chicken. And he’s not the wrong color, he's a harlequin duck." She looked at him again. "You have a pet duck?" "More like he has a pet human," I said. "He just claimed me one day and now won't leave. I take him to the other ducks during the day, but it seems that he managed to escape and find us.”

But besides having a devious ducky pushing these two together, this couple also has SERIOUS CHEMISTRY and it is fan your face type of steamy. These two are powerfully drawn to each other and try to fight that urge, but to no avail. This here for a good time not a long time bi babe Brooks has met his match and then some in tightly controlled and ever so restrained Sydney. The two of them together is electric and their steamy scenes together, exploring each other and discovering new and fun...ahem...things together is a TREAT. Hallow's Cove may be a small town but it brings big heat in this story. 5/5 Stars

Going Au Naturale is an utterly charming, low-angst escape into a magical small-town romance.

Brooks, a rugged, golden-retriever-energy satyr farmer, is everything you’d want in a book boyfriend. He is thoughtful, devoted, the owner of one very lovable pet duck named Chicken, and determined to get his farm certified organic. Sydney, on the other hand, takes a little longer to warm up, and while her prickly exterior makes for a slow burn, I would’ve loved a bit more relationship development along the way.

Overall, the cozy atmosphere, sweet chemistry, and heartwarming moments make this a delightful read. If you love monster romances with small-town charm and a touch of farm life, this book is worth checking out! I can’t wait to go back to Hallow’s Cove.

Swoony line:

“…but with you, sometimes it feels like I’m seeing everything with fresh eyes.”

“You’re the most gorgeous person I’ve ever laid my eyes on, and none of these photos could ever do you justice.”

“There’s something about you that makes me feel whole.”

I received an ARC copy and wanted to leave an honest review.

This book? Unexpectedly delightful. Going au Naturale at Hallow’s Cove is paranormal smut with a satirical twist, charming small-town vibes, and one of the kinkiest farm visits you’ll ever read. It’s cozy, queer, and completely unhinged - in the best way.

Our FMC, Sydney, is a city girl through and through, sent to Hallow’s Cove to conduct an organic certification inspection at Hoffmann Farms. She’s all business, all heels-in-mud discomfort, and trying very hard not to fall for the hot, bi, golden retriever energy of farm boy Brooks - who also happens to be her very off-limits assignment.

Brooks is cinnamon roll coded with monster boyfriend chaos:
✔️ Queer, open-minded, and fully down to switch things up
✔️ Built like a fantasy and respectful like a dream
✔️ Ready to be railed or worshiped (or both)

There’s real tension here. Both Sydney and Brooks know the score: no touching. But when the gloves come off? Oh, they really come off. We’re talking: knotting, pegging, praise and aftercare
And it’s all written with consent, trust, and fun.

What makes this book shine, though, is its total flip on the usual monster romance power dynamic. We’re used to towering alphas dominating innocent women. Here? Our buff farm boy bends - willingly, happily - and it’s never played for humiliation or shock. It’s just good kink. And honestly? We love that for him.

The ending pivots a little abruptly to “baby makes three” — personal preference, but it felt like a mismatch for such a refreshingly non-traditional story.

What a cute book! I was instantly hooked from start to finish. I just love the way L.E. develops her characters and makes you fall so deeply in love with them. This is definitely one of my favorite books I've read so far this year.

The chemistry between Brooks and Sydney is so magical and the sexual tension is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

"You're the most gorgeous person I've ever laid my eyes on, and none of these photos could ever do you justice."

Organic Auditor and city girl Sydney Jacobs has finally made it out of the office and into the field. Though not a fan of her job, it pays the bills, and her first step up the corporate ladder. She had lofty goals of living large, and she wouldn't let a little thing like hating her job change that. Her first assignment? Middle-of-no-where, aka Hallow’s Cove, to audit Hoffman Farms. Everything should be perfect…minus the part where her college nemesis blackmailed her to fail the farm.

Brooks Hoffman, however, has straightforward goals: Keep his family farm afloat, get that organic certification, take care of his pet duck Chicken, and now, Sydney Jacobs. While she’s a bit prickly, he can’t get her piercing green gaze out of his head. But the farm means everything to him, and he can’t let anything get in the way, not even his newest temptation, Sydney.

When the lines between passion and professionalism blur with the due date of their certification results fast approaching, will these two be able to thwart Sydney's enemy? Or were they meant to go down in flames au naturale?

Content warning. Blackmail, spousal abuse, not the MC's, Don/sub, open door relations with consent.
Brooks runs the family farm and needs to have his Organic Certification to boost sales. The farm is important to the whole town and is a tourist stop as well as being in his family for generations. It's more than a job he loves, it's his life.
Sydney's college degree is in a market that's not hiring, so she took the first job that came her way with the hopes of not being there very long. When she's asked to sub on a certification audit, she didn't have much of a choice. She ends up stuck on the side of the road with her co-worker when she sees a truck coming. When she sees the Satyr, she finds him attractive. Tall, dark and handsome ends up not only helping her but being the one that owns the farm that she's there to audit.
The small town is quaint and run by super naturals, it's like stepping back in time. No T.V. and no phone signals or service. Soon they can't keep their eyes off of each other. Is there something blooming or is it just wishful thinking and curiosity? They're actually getting along and enjoying each other's company.
Then she's blackmailed by someone that she went to school with. Fail the farm or he'll expose her side job from their college days.
When her room floods and he offers for her to stay at his place, they grow even closer. Much closer.
Can she do that to him, his family, this town that she's grown so fond of just to save her job?
As far as Brooks is concerned, she's the one. But when the truth comes out, how can he trust her?
Can she find what she needs to one up the bad guy?
HEA, laughs and actually falling in love makes this story work.

Thank you, @morallygrayreads and @hallowscove , for sharing this wonderful arc with me. It's been an absolute treat to see this town develop, and its characters breathe so much life into it. Hallows Cove is slowly becoming my dream destination, and I look forward to every installment of this.
This is a story about a satyr with a big smile (large arms 🤤) and a dreamier personality falling hard for the big city girl coming to town to assess his families farm for an organic certification. I was hooked from page one.
Sydney is spicy in all the right ways, and it brought me so much joy to see her relax and become the person she wanted to be. Not just because of Brooks helping her break down her walls. To see her standing up for her happiness and choosing for herself in the end made me have tears in my eyes. ❤️
Brooks is the golden retriever man to her black cat, and it was quite entertaining to read about him and his casual charm flustering Sydney. His family is the kind and loving folk that make you want to never leave the farm, and I loved the addition of them.
Now, I think the true star of the book should be addressed. Chicken. This harlequin duck will steal a thousand hearts. I will forever love this tiny duck and the sweetness this fowl friend brought to the story.

Now don't you worry, there is spice and when it happens, it's hot. Heads up for bondage, knotting, and a bit of dom word play. You know, all the fun stuff. 😁

I can honestly say this book had me ready for spring. It gives the same energy as a sunny afternoon, surrounded by bird songs and cherry blossoms, getting hot and heavy in the back of a pickup truck with a bottle of wine and a cozy blanket. Warm, comforting, and fun.
