Holiday Treasure

Rate this book
Mega wealthy Tanner Storm has it all - great looks, wealth, and nothing holding him down. Then, his father decides to play games with him and his siblings, handing him an apartment complex in downtown Seattle that Tanner wants nothing to do with. When the conditions of his father's terms ensure that he do something with this building or lose his inheritance, he at first thinks, so what. But, then it becomes a challenge that he has to accept, because he's never before backed down. He decides to tear down the building and start fresh with something far more appealing that will add to his already fat wallet. The only problem is that the residents don't want to leave, and under the contract with his father, he can't force them out. When he ends up before Judge Kragle from all the complaints made against him, the judge decides the best punishment for him will be two weeks of living in the very apartment complex he despises and two weeks of community service, playing Santa Claus at the mall. Perfect! This is not the Christmas of his dream. The plot thickens when he meets his neighbor, Kyla and falls into instant lust. Will this turn out to be Tanner's secret angel, or will he forget all about her the minute he leaves? Enjoy this Anderson Christmas Novel from NYT Best Selling Author Melody Anne who wishes you all a very Merry Christmas and an even happier New Year.

I looove the Anderson/Storm family. This is a great addition to the series. BUT I think I would have liked this book more if I didn't read the shortened version.

Sweeter than a candy cane but hotter than a hot chocolate… yup, I think that’s a good description for this story. It’s one of many in the Anderson series by Melody Anne and just as entertaining as the others.

One thing I loved: The Billy storyline while sad, is also a charming twist and builds on the family bonds that all books in the Anderson series focus on. We see Tanner with his brothers and also have Kyla’s bittersweet memories of Christmases with her family.

One thing that could be better: Billy’s family background is mentioned and acts as a useful plot device to help Tanner and Kyla’s relationship. However, I would have liked more details about what happened with his grandmother.

The Christmas element: the gradual build-up to Christmas Day allowed both Tanner and Kyla to recapture Christmas joy. They both have good reason to shut out seasonal festivities but this time around, they find themselves enjoying traditions.

I'm not sure how this author make fall in love with a fictional family the way she does but she does it. Is it formulaic? Yes, but I love the matchmaking and how it all comes together.

I love this book. It played on all my emotions. I laughed, I cried, my heart was touched. It was a beautiful story.
This book is part of a series. The best part about this series is each book can be read as a standalone. Joseph, George, and Richard are brothers, and they just want a house full of grand kids. The old men are always scheming and playing match maker to their kids. One of the brothers wanted to teach their kids to be better people. He froze their bank accounts, and gave them a project to complete. The project had a dead line. If it was finished, and turned a profit, then he would reinstate the accounts.

Tanners project was a apartment complex. He wanted to force everyone to move out, so he could tear it down, and build from the ground up. Most people did not want to move from the place they called home. they just wanted the problems fixed. Tanner found himself in court when it was discovered that the heat had been turned off. Tanners sentence was to live in the apartment , and play Santa in the mall, for almost a month. His grumblings were entertaining. He thought most kids were snot nosed, and spoiled. One little boy touched his heart, and mine. There are kids in the world that just want their parents home for Christmas.

Tanners neighbor Kyla was grieving the loss of her parents that had died two years before. She also worked at the mall with Tanner. The friendship that grew into much more was a sweet journey.

The story was emotional in many places. Not a cry fest, but a story that pulled at my heart. Tanner changed so much during his stay at the apartment. It was nice to see how much he changed throughout the story.

4 out of 5 Classic Melody Anne Stars

The Anderson/Storm family are at it again. The plotting of the patriarchs is getting more cunning and the reluctant sons are getting worse.
With this series by Melody Anne, you know the gist of what you're going to get but I don't mind that - Bossy, brazen, beautiful, billionaire bachelor, Tanner, turns smitten, smouldering, soft hearted, soppy suitor.
Tanner has taken on a project from his father, just as his brothers and sister have, to prove himself but he has got himself into deep water. This egotistical, arrogant jerk gets a life lesson as his punishment and faces up to the realities of the world.
This story is set around Christmas time and it's several seasonal tales rolled into one. The Grinch meets Scrooge meets It's a Wonderful Life.

If you're in need of a HEA, a spoilt rich bachelor turning good guy and a strong woman willing to show him the way, plus, maybe just a hint of festive cheer thrown in, then Melody Anne's new book won't disappoint you.

Are there 2 versions of this book? I'm confused. This book was short but tedious to read. Over and over we read the same thoughts from Tanner. Boring. Tedious. Rather lame as the other books were so good. This was my least favorite of the series so far. I loved every character in the other books. I still don't like Tanner. :( disappointing.

I truly enjoyed the extended version of Tanner and Kyla.... He went from Scroogie to happy joy joy in a matter of 24 days. I truly am a HUGE fan of the Anderson's and Melody did them proud in displaying the billionaire dropping to his knees and learning a valuable lesson.

GREAT!

I enjoyed this book a great deal. Tanner was a real jerk to very close to the last few chapters. He had a change of heart eventually. Kyla helped with that change. Great book!!!!

Holiday Treasure: The Lost Andersons Book 3; Billionaire Bachelors Book 10 is by Melody Anne. Each of the Anderson books follow the same pattern; but they are definitely different from each other in the amount of suspense and humor that they have. This book upped the suspense with the addition of several unusual characters.
Tanner Storm wasn’t in the same position as his siblings were when their Father closed their accounts and held their trust funds. In the years that they were all doing their own things, he had been making money and lots of it. He didn’t need his Father’s money yet he didn’t want to let his siblings know that yet. He took the project that had an apartment house that he decided needed to be demolished and something else put there. He offered a price to those tenants to move out. As some of them wanted to stay, he eventually raised his price to no avail. Then he was charged with being a slum lord and his sentence was to spend twenty-four days in the building and work as Santa. He was horrified and angry. However, he intended to serve his sentence then get out. Things didn’t turn out the way he thought they would. The loneliness and beautifulness of the tenant across the hall, the sleaziness of a security guard, and the terror of a little boy who hid because he had been bad all combine to make his life definitely different in twenty-four days.

Searching for True Treasure

Kyla Ridgley has been living a shell of a life since losing her family. Living with survivor's guilt and just coasting through her minimized life, Kyla is not healing or moving on. When she meets the handsome Tanner Storm just as he's moved into her old, dilapidated apartment building. He's not there by choice and he's not about to admit it's court ordered. She's not sure what he's there, he certainly doesn't belong, but they are drawn to each other. Much as they fight their attraction it is difficult to avoid each other - living just across a hall and working together ( much to their surprise) makes avoidance complicated. Although Kyla knows their "relationship" is short term, she goes for it. Tanner is pretty delusional about his feelings for Kyla. He hides behind his typical rich boy routine sure he can have a short term fling and just move on. He finds out many things about himself, not necessarily things he's proud to admit. Thankfully he does realize he's found true treasure with Kyla. Hopefully in time to win her, his true treasure.

I loved this book couldn't put it down. Richard Storm bought five property's for his kids to rebuilt, Tanner Storm picked the apartment building and is now in court getting sentenced because he hadn't done anything to fix it. Tanner's sentence was to live in house arrest in his apartment building for twenty - four days, and he also had to serve community service hours dressed as Santa Clause in the mall. His first day at the apartment Tanner met one of the tennants Kyla Ridgley who didn't know who Tanner really was, and he smiled and thought a three week fling wouldn't be bad. Tanner and Kyla were becoming close and she started to open up to him, but Kyla was afraid because she knew he would be leaving soon. When his time was up he left without looking back, but he couldn't stop thinking about Kyla so he decided to get her back because he couldn't live without her, when Kyla found out who he was she didn't want to see him ever again.

Interesting Twist

First off amazed at how the third Anderson twin Richard has been able to meddle the marriages of three children the way he did. That said this was a little bit of classical theme where the wealthy is thrown to live like normal people and interact with them and use his money for good instead of just to get wealthier. I started out thinking Tanner was more mature and wise than his other Storm siblings, but then I realized he was just as much of a brat just not as controlled by his fathers funded trust fund as the others I have met so far. Thank goodness he met Kayla and Billy or else he would never have found his heart again.

Anyway I will continue to read books by Melody Anne, but I might need to take a break from this series for a while.

Another Storm finds his way home

Tanner.seems to be the only Storm who wasn’t a deadbeat prior to his father cutting the kids off. He could take his father’s little project or leave it. For kicks, he decides to take it. Six months later, he finds himself hauled into court AGAIN for being a slum lord. Not exactly how he pictured his life turning out when he took on this little project. The judge decides its time to get Tanner’s attention in a big way. Tanner, of course, meets the love of his life thanks to the judge and some meddling from his dad.

Through it all, I can’t help but wonder if Tanner really gives his beleaguered assistant a raise. By the end of the book, he definitely deserves one. A huge one. Maybe several.

Tanner finally gets the best ever present

Such a fantastic story! I really expected Tanner to make changes and concessions earlier. Kyle should have held out longer. Tanner needed blue balls! Lol Adding Billy and his grandma to the story especially when Billy told Santa his wish. Talk about emotional. I mean wow just wow. Tanner getting puked on was priceless. I loved him working serving dinner and actually talking to that mom and offering her help. So many good laughs and a few wow moments and tears in this book, it is well written and worthy of being an Anderson treasure. Loved loved loved the surprise about the judge!!!

Wonderful life lessons

Tanner thought he had his project all figured out. He could buy off the people in the apartment building and create something bigger, better and bring in more income. He is in for a much needed wake up call. He is forced to live in the building, work as a mall Santa. He still doesn't get it, after meeting Kyla and Billy. Can he have a Miracle happen to change his thinking, only time will tell.

Great series.

I loved this book. Love the matchmaking between the Anderson’s and Richard Storm. Had some laughs too. I also cried over Kyla’s family and about Billy. Loved how Tanner changes due to managing the building. Loved the chemistry between Tanner and Kyla, but will she be understanding when she realizes who he is? Loved their happy ever after and surprised a bit at how the matchmaking occurred. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Interesting

A better storyline in this book with some deep issues regarding grief and loss it also touched on the plight of homeless people who are often there due to circumstance and not choice. This book highlights Tanner who is definitely at the start a self centred rich man in need of bringing down to earth and that happens with the help of a judge a beautiful woman and a young boy. An interesting and enjoyable read.

This is another good book with a little of the Anderson family thrown in. 😃 I really enjoyed Kali and Tanner 's story. Tanner was definitely a spoiled rich kid. He was a harder worker in finance, but he had preconceived ideas about the lives of people who had less in life. Kali, certainly brought out the best in Tanner. He helped her heal. On to the next book.😊

Not So Much

Unfortunately, this was my least favorite of all of the series. I could not stomach Tanner's arrogance. Kyle was A good enough heroine, but Tanner just turned me off. Also, there was no mention about Richard's illness and of his son's knowing the truth.

Holiday Treasure (The Andersons Book 10)

Another wonderful book of romance and sexiness. Finding love in a rundown apartment building was great. Seeing a little boy who lost so much was heartbreaking.

Another Fantastic Novel

These guys don't fall for meek and mild that's for sure. After what he did to her and omitted from her boy did he get an ear full and then some. It took him quite a while to figure out how selfish and arrogant he really was. The matchmaker group is growing.

Be prepared to laugh, and cry often when this Anderson cousin Tanner loses his bachelor hood status

I would recommend this book and series for mature readers that love reading stories that are at times laugh out loud funny, steamy, sad, and romantic.
