Warning! This book contains triggers that some readers will find distressing. It is not for the faint of heart.

This is the third book of The Darkness Trilogy. The first book is Tangled Rose.

Rose Meadows was taken. She was tortured. She was abused. She was humiliated.

And then she was rescued. Josh Carter came like a wolf in the night and stole her away from the Dark Rebel Motorcycle Club. He took her to a safe place and already they can feel the stirrings of love grow between them.

But Josh left the job unfinished. The men who hurt Rose are still free. They are still hurting other girls. When Josh sees how traumatized and damaged Rose is because of what they did to her, he knows he has no choice. He must risk everything, even the chance of a happy life with Rose, in order to bring justice to the men who hurt her.

This is the stunning finale to the best-selling trilogy that has been making waves for its gritty realism, graphic depictions of humiliation, and for showing the courage of one woman who refuses to let darkness overcome her. Drawn from real events in the life of the author it shows that women are stronger than their abusers and capable of more courage than anyone ever gave them credit for.

Read this book. Celebrate its honesty. Remember the journey.

I can't believe my time has ended with this series!! So many mixed emotions, a love/hate relationship with this trilogy, your mind is on a constant roller coaster of disgust, anger you name it with what Rose endured under the thumb of this notorious biker gang..

I hope she can at least put some skeletons to rest in this last book..

Rose was damaged. She was tainted, tangled and twisted

OMG OMG OMG Where's the next book!! I needs/wants that like yesterday!! I can not believe it ended like that!!

This series/book had my heart racing, so much angst, darkness, grittiness I devoured this in record time, could not put these books down..I became a hermit over the weekend did not leave the house so I could just keep on reading..

Although it might have been written from the heart there was a big hole in it. A promising storyline but completely lacked execution. Too much repetition, too much under development when the story began to build and then……...... nothing.

Book three has a lot going on in it. We meet up with Patrice again and he re-deemed himself. The DRMC who violated Rose got their just their comeuppance and the identity of the President of the club is revealed. Not your typical biker but a powerful suit - I liked that but what a pity Abby Weeks didn’t develop it further and give us more.

The author states that this is the conclusion to the trilogy but I honestly thought it was left at half mast! Did it end? Well I don’t know because when I got to that final page and that final sentence my reaction was WTF? What a way to end a story. I thought there must be more - much more. Is there? Does it actually end like that?

A wasted opportunity to make this book stand out but instead of being something exceptionally good it became just another biker story.

This is the finally book in the series. Twisted Rose was so much better than Tainted Rose for me. It was more action packed and not the same thing over and over and over again. Revenge is coming, Josh is on a mission to save Rose and Rose finally has hope. Josh helps Rose believe in herself and in others again. A character from the first book shows up again and gives everyone a surprise in the end. While there was finally a HAE, I would have liked to see how they fared a few years down the road in an epilogue. It just didn’t seem completely “finished” for me, there was closure but I wanted to know about the aftermath.

Characters: The characters were well written

Sex: yes but not consensual most of the time

Religious: no

Would I recommend to others: yes

More than one book in the series: yes

Genre: Dark

Would I read more by this author: yes

Like the first two books in this series, this was a quick read. I kept hoping that "things were really going to get good" with each of the books, but it just never happened. The storyline was promising, but the execution was lacking. Every time there was build-up to a big plot twist, revelation, etc. I'd get hopeful and be left wanting. Major events were just skimmed over. The story was very different from other biker stories that I've read, which was a plus. However, I found the delivery to be lacking.

Patrice does make a reappearance in this book, which was a big plus after he seemingly vanished after book one. The DRMC douchebags that played a prominent role in Rose's captivity and abuse finally got what they had coming, which was definitely a positive, even if it could have been played upon more by the author. Although things are still left somewhat up in the air, there seems to be a HEA in the future for Josh and Rose.

I liked this series, but didn't love it. There was just enough interest to keep me reading to the end, but know this won't be one I'll be rereading.

Twisted Rose is the third book in a very dark series.

The story picks up immediately after Tainted Rose and I was looking forward to see how Rose's life would pan out and see if she'd ever truly get free of the DRMC. I struggled to get involved with this book. I found the writing style annoying and repetitive and the sex scenes clumsy. For me there wasn't enough interaction between the characters or much dialogue and we spent too much time in the characters' heads.

I struggled to make it though this final instalment but it was worth hanging on to get to the last 30% or so of the story which I did enjoy.

The Darkness Trilogy is harsh read and there is not much light in the darkness. I think the author deservers credit for showing the horrors Rose's situation and not turning this into one of those sappy series where the heroine falls in love with her rapist/kidnapper. Much of this story is confronting and bleak. If you are after a truly dark read, I'd suggest giving this series a try.

After having a rocky start for me I can say it is ending much better. This book was so suspense filled. I am so glad I kept going. This one made the series for me. There was something so different, about this compared to the two others. I like that it had more to do with Josh, I really liked his character. How Josh and Rose had to fight tooth and nail for HEA. He gave her hope, when she thought there was none. He gave her something to believe in. So action packed!

Great way to end this series.

I got to the end of chapter 8 and couldn't get any further.

It takes more than 2 minutes for people to get off. 99.9% of people can't orgasm just by pretty much looking at someone and stroking themselves for however much time can pass in the length of a page. If you're going to write detailed scenes there has to be a way to convey more time passing. This kind of wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am style of sex happened multiple times, yet for the characters it was fully satisfying.

These characters are the kind of people on your Facebook newsfeed saying they love each other in comments everywhere after 2 weeks. Nauseatingly annoying and completely unbelievable.

This may have a spoiler but not really
My thoughts...Shes in the same situation, but one she is in control of, josh is the polar opposite of those horrible men but all were victims and 1 act of courage had a ripple effect however polar opposite is just another extreme very bad to the point of madness is that better than very good to the point of selfishness.

I really liked these books and it is shocking at times to be reading and then remember that this story IS based on reality...maybe not every bit is true, but even a little of this story true is enough to haunt anyone! I love that it shows people, young girls, that yes, this shit DOES happen, woman ARE sold into sexual slavery and torment every day, and not just in Russia and Thailand...right here in Canada and the U.S...Everyone immediately thinks, well duh why didnt she just run, i woulda ran'...but nottt in Rose's story you would'nt..Rose is in the middle of the wilderness basically..these are not sexy high class strip clubs. They are dark and dirty and the men that occupy them are even dirtier and darker...truckers and loggers...thats allll. Miles, im talking hundreds of miles away from annnnything ,houses or towns. And if she were to make it to a town, the MC owns it, the police and everyone in it. Literally, noooo one to help her. Its a very scary realization and situation. The way that they brutalized and dehumanized Rose was chilling..and honestly if that was me, i would be dead right now. I could not have kept it together like she did. First knife i got ahold of woulda been thru one of their heads. If i still lived after the beating and gang rape they gave me after that, the next knife would have been thru my own head...or i woulda attempted to pack up some supplies and make a run for the wilderness...and surely died. lol. Not Rose tho. She was smart. She strived for life and she did'nt give up...

This went in circles

This isn't a stand alone, it follows Tainted Rose.
This book didn't follow any of the other books, it kinda went in circles.
*****SPOILERS*****
Rose and Josh end up escaping the DRMC. In the previous book and have an "Insta love" of the quickest kind.
After they've already had sex then say, I love you right after. Rose, goes into the, "I'm not good enough for you spill," and freaks out when they go to have sex again.
Shouldn't she have freaked out when they first went to?? I mean they already did so why now? That confuses me.
Then their first conversation, Rose tells Josh of the 100s of men who forced them selves on her and what they did to her. Shouldn't this have happened before hand??
Also she's always telling him, "come in me." Why did she never end up pregnant?? She's been having (forced) sex almost daily, and even calls her self a sperm vessel, how is it no mention ever of birth control ever mentioned, and she's not pregnant??
Then Josh, he gets shot, not once but twice, while single handedly going after the "meanest" bikers ever. He still keeps riding his bike and going on like nothing every happened. Then tells Rose she looks tired. Shouldn't she have been the one telling him that?? Especially having nothing to eat or drink in days. He's like a real life Super Man.
A lot of the book I also skimmed, it kept repeating the same things over and over.
This made me sad reading this book when this series started out so strong with so much potential.

*I received a free copy to read & review for Wicked Reads*

The conclusion to this series was explosive, and action packed.
The "tone" of this book was completely different then the previous two books, which may have something to do with hope.
Rose is coming to grips with her situation, while Josh (the Knight in Shining Armor) is providing her with an outlet for her emotions - and stability that she hasn't known for the past 2 years.
Together they forge forward and deal with the wrath of the DRMC>
I did feel some moments in this story were unlikely, but I felt that throughout the entire series, and I was glad I stuck through to the end.
Although this was dark, and felt completely hopeless at times, this book redeemed the whole series for me.

I liked this book. It flowed very well from the one before.
There were some parts that I became sort of bored with and skimmed through it.

Rose is on the run with a man from her past.
She has so many demons to fight that a normal relationship with this man seems nearly impossible.

He tries to help her and they have decided that one of the only ways to do that is to try and take out the men that has hurt her.

The DRMC men are mean and brutal.

Can these two alone try to bring some justice for Rose?

Very compelling read

wow what can I say that give justice to such a great book. Twisted Rose is book 3 in the dark rebel trilogy. the book was a satisfying conclusion to the events of book two, rose is finally able to have some closure after the horrific, degrading, mind numbing abuse she has suffered. Her strength was amazing and Josh was like an awe inspiring dark angel , seeking the justice she so desperately needed. I like how it wasn't tied up in a like bow of happily ever afters. the ending was realistic and believable. another awesome book for me. Abby weeks .

2.5 - 3.0 stars. lots of repetition. I skipped paragraphs and still didn't miss any of the story. The story would have been much better if it was condensed into one novel and if the characters weren't so monotone.

So glad I'm finished with this book. I think it's safe to assume that there's more to this series out there considering the way this one was left but I won't be looking for them. This series fell short for me.

Enthralling Trilogy

This was very different than the romance novels I usually read. It was gritty and raw and captivating. I wanted to know what would happen next every moment of this story. The beginning was hard and the ending was beautiful. I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you

Very good story.... very emotional....but at times more time was spent on feelings, repeated the same thing over and over, it got a bit frustrating, I wanted her to get back to what was happening.

Overall

This series was average it was written for shock value. The ending seemed rushed and it felt like the writer ran out of an idea. Some parts like how this one mc was rule over it all was way to over the top. She wrote evil to be evil. I saw all the twists coming. It was a ok mc book but like I said it was more for shock value.

Hmmm...

I am finding it really difficult to write a review for this series. The subject matter is reeeeeaally really heavy especially after reading in the credits that it was based on actual events from Ms. Weeks' life. That she was able to turn it into a work of fiction is amazing and certainly be commended.

That being said, I think the writing itself wasn't great. As previously stated in my review of book one, there is a lot of rephrasing of any given sentence to make the same point. It was just repetitive and rather juvenile. The story itself was great. I found myself having sympathy for the characters. I hated the entire DRMC. I even slowed down for a bit because I although I wanted the torture and uncertainty to be over, I was completely immersed in the drama and didn't want the series to end.

I'm definitely going to look at some more of the author's books. And if even one of the horrifying acts that happened to Rose was a true life event, girl, you have a sympathizer and friend for life. Keep up the good work!!

When I think of MC stories, I think if all the evil, corrupt men who degrade women, lure young men into a sense of belonging, and making them their puppets. This story is a prime example of all the ugly and bad that an MC could be. The DRMC wiped out Rose's fathers MC club just before they patched in their newest member Josh Carter. Then later the DRMC kidnap and brutally beat and rape Rose. They keep her and make her dance and strip in one of their strip clubs. Mind you these are the same strip clubs where all the women have been kidnapped and forced to dance which brings a whole different clientele to these places. Places where men get a thrill knowing they can rape these women and no one and I mean no one will bat an eyelash. Then Josh Carter comes in and is the equivalent of a one man army. He steals Rose from the DRMC but left the men alive. Bad mistake. Very bad leaving a job unfinished. Now they are on the run. Josh then decides to finish the job and kill these men. All killing them does is makes Rose and Josh more wanted by the DRMC until one of their own turns against them to right a wrong.

You have to read the previous two books before reading this one. The story is very intense. The storyline can trigger things if you are sensitive to rape and all the sordid things that can and will happen from that. I over the edge of your seat not knowing what was going to happen next even though I thought I did.

DRMC is dark twisted and omg fabulous!!!

This has to be one of the darkest books I have read in awhile. I must admit that it brought up past memories I may have been better off not thinking about but I could not put this down!! Rose has been thru more i. Her short life lived thru pain and then more pain!! She went through more in one night than anyone most would be able to I. A lifetime, I always wondered how some go thru the smallest obstacles and fall down and then others of us can suffer so much and still survive!! Rose wAs beautiful inside and out even though she was starting to falter and the daemons were starting to break her she still managed to f I'll nd one thought ..it was time to try and escape!!and then in walks Josh!! Omg we could all use a man with that kind of character!!

The only th I Nguyen I wish you would have added was a bit more of the happy ever after .. the info that they d I d escape that they did get married that they did have children after all that agony and despair I needed more.

I cannot say how deeply effected i was while reading this book!! It was so well written and pulls you right in!! I have always tried to give an honest review but i am no writer and am never sure exactly what to say..But this book is normative star but a 10!! If you cannot handle the dark side of life this is NOT a book for you but if you are In to real ...ITDONT GET ANYMORE REAL THAN THIS!!!

The mind of Abby Weeks absolute amazes me. These are some very dark, erotic books. I don't even know how she thinks up some of these scenes, definitely not for the squeamish. Just because I gave this book a 5 star rating, doesn't mean that I condone or agree with the abuse or crimes that happen in this book. What I did love about the book is it's uniqueness. I don't know that I can handle one more romance where the H or H can commit due to trauma or abuse in their childhood, etc. The writing was excellent in this book and the heroine does end up with her HEA in this book. Again, I don't condone any of the abuse that went on in this book, but with that said, one of the reason for the high ratings was how often I needed to change my panties in a day. Lordy be, the sex scenes..... The emotion is so real too, you feel everything that Rose feels and just feel devastated for her. Abby weeks is by far one of my favorite authors to date and I read on average of 3-5 books a week an have for years so that is saying something.

I was gifted all three books in a box set to read and give my honest opinion.
Twisted Rose, the third book in the DRMC series was probably my favorite. Rose now has a strong ally and partner in Josh Carter, a man who knew her when she was a little girl and who has become her lover, rescuer and savior all rolled into one delicious and awesome man. After all the horrors and cruelty Rose has suffered at the hands of the bikers who "owned" her body and soul, she is temporarily free to try to put the pieces of herself back together. The happiness is short lived though as nobody can suffer the trauma she did without experiencing some PTSD and when Josh realizes what he needs to do to give her the closure she needs, they are both thrust back into danger from the DRMC members who are still looking for Rose.
An exciting and power-packed conclusion to the trilogy with a satisfying ending.

HOLY MOLY!

I really liked this trilogy but it definitely deals with some very dark and violent material. Rose went through hell and landed on her feet thanks to a man named Josh Carter who had made a promise to her father before he died. Their love continued to grow to something so special. Patrice, the young man that was forced to do something despicable to Rose ended up redeeming himself. I cried so h hard for him. He was a good guy but didn't have a choice but to join the most terrifyingly violent MC's ever. Deep down he was still a good kind soul. The only complaint I have with this book was the way it ended. I loved that Josh and Rose found each other and got a chance at peace and a really amazing love. I highly recommend t his trilogy to everyone.

Disappointingly, not as twisted as book 1 and 2...

This third installment could have been a much shorter story. It was superfluous and verbose in rehashing things. The same ideas and thoughts are said over and over again, ten different ways, in dozens of different scenes. Books 1 and 2 had so much more storyline and unique illustrations happening. However, I was glad for Josh and Rose in that they finally got closure.

Good story

I really enjoyed this story. It was graphic in some areas but not overboard just for the shock value. When there were explicit scenes it was necessary to convey the intensity of the situation. There were parts that seemed a little far fetched but overall it was good and worth the time to read it.

A riveting tribute to human endurance

I have spent an extraordinary two days on this series. The depth of human depravity the fortitude of the human spirit and the depth of the human heart are all part of this amazing trilogy! I feel as if Abby Weeks has given us part of her soul in this trilogy!Amazing
