He keeps his heart locked down like classified intel.
She survives by trusting no one completely.
Now, they're each other's most dangerous—and necessary—secret.
REAPER
I've spent my entire career following protocol and keeping my emotions in check. But everything changed when she crashed into my life—a brilliant agent whose instincts could unravel our enemies or destroy us both. Now, we're racing against time to expose a traitor at the heart of a shadowy intelligence organization so secret that most don't believe it exists. With our nemesis hunting us, a key mentor's life hanging in the balance, and a connection between us that defies every rule I've ever known, I'm about to break every protocol I've ever followed. Because some missions are worth more than orders—and some partnerships are worth everything.

AMARYLLIS
My entire life has been about control—maintaining emotional distance and surviving in a world of shadows and secrets. Then came a by-the-book operative who saw through every defense I'd ever constructed. When I discovered evidence that could bring down a corrupt intelligence leadership, I knew I was walking on a razor's edge. But I never expected to find an ally—or a love—that would challenge everything I thought I knew about myself. With my mentor's life at risk and a conspiracy that reaches deeper than anyone imagined, I'll have to trust not just my instincts, but the man who's become my most unexpected partner. Some secrets are worth dying for. Some truths are worth everything.

While each book in the K19 Allied Intelligence Team Two series features one couple and a guaranteed HEA, the series may be more enjoyable read in order.

Their chemistry is off the charts!

This is book 5 in the K19 Allied Intelligence Team 2 series. I love the K19 world and all the books and characters that Ms. Slade has created for us to love and enjoy. Kingston and Charity are no exception. They have amazing chemistry and you just feel each of them fighting and trying to stop their normal defense mechanisms to go off when they are together. I couldn’t put this one down until the end. I had to experience and enjoy the next interaction they had. Their final surrender is just as powerful and moving. These two will stick in my memory and be one of my favorites for a long time.

Reaper is action packed from the first word to the page turning end. Slade takes us on a journey with heightened emotions as Amaryllis discovers the clues of her past while she hunts for her missing mentor. She’ll find the help of Reaper and the coalition as they come to her aid. The truth behind the Minerva Protocol and the espionage will come to light. There were some twists that surprised me! I’m excited to see how things will play out in the next series spin off with the Minerva Protocol.

Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Amaryllis/Charity is on the run and feels like she can trust no one and Reaper/Kingston is worried and he is willing to risk his reputation, his career and even his life to prove otherwise! As they search for a missing agent, they face danger, intrigue, betrayal and a twist that I never saw coming! You want to read this one!

For Charity, code name Amaryllis has really never been able to depend on anyone. Her family abandoned her, not really, because it was through death. She lost her parents as almost a toddler, went to live with her grandparents, and eventually age got to them. She had a mentor within the NSA, Dr. Carrington, who's been missing for about 6 months, assumed dead. However, Amaryllis wasn't giving up on her.
Buckle up for a wild ride that only Heather Slade can provide us. Every freaking time you think you've got it all figured out BAM! You're wrong. Poor Charity often ended up with more questions than answers. Each step of the way beside her is Kingston Black, Code Name Reaper. His world changed the day they met in the last book, Code Name Hornet. When Amaryllis went rouge, or maybe she was killed, he wasn't sure, he was willing to move well heaven and earth to find her. Of course, the strong and independent woman that life built Charity into chafed at him coming to her rescue in Berlin.
The end of this book is just the tip of the ice berg regarding what's really happening, we're talking corruption and espionage in multiple countries here. To be continued in the 6th book, Black Jack's story.

Family matters

Reaper/Kingston and Amaryliss/Charity. They seem to not get along, but as Bishop so quickly tells his brother their chemistry is tangible. The danger is present from the start as Charity is on the run and trying to find her mentor who was missing. As they work with their colleagues to find the mentor, we start to see this world and series take another turn with what all Minerva includes and means to Charity, but also to government and these intelligence groups. Lots of clues show there is something hinky with Charity’s background and family knowledge/history. Along with the intrigue this couple starts to open up with their feelings and we see another strong couple emerge. The story is full of details and characters, but it also helps to convey the depth of levels involved with the intrigue and problems in the different realms of government. I enjoyed the book, but I would recommend this be a series and world that is read in order because many of the facts and characters build on previous issues and couples.

Heather Slade jam packed Code Name: Reaper with intrigue, suspense, mystery, what ifs, twists, turns, unanswered questions, dramatic action and a love story that plays out across the pages. Despite the "I don't like or trust you" appearances, antagonistic confrontations and constant headbutting Amaryllis and Reaper are an inevitable match. He knew from the moment she opened a door and met for the first time they were meant for one another. Their journey is filled with rough patches, misdirections, eluding enemies, hiding in plain sight and flying under the radar. Unraveling the knots of three nefarious organizations becomes a full K19 Allied Intelligence team assignment with lots of familiar faces involved. This book immediated captured and held my interest to the point that didn't put it down until I'd read cover to cover.

This book starts off with a bang from page one until the very last page. You will go on a journey of many twists, turns, mystery and corruption with a love story woven in. Reaper and Amaryllis have chemistry from the get go with many "I hate you" moments and much frustration and stubbornness between these two. Amaryllis is determined to find her mentor, Mercury, who has gone missing. Reaper is determined to save Amaryllis from her determination of working alone and show her people can be trusted and won't leave. These two work with the UN Coalition to find Mercury where they will dig in and learn how so many past corruption projects are connected. This will lead to some shocking revelations regarding the Minerva Protocol and Amaryllis's past. I am absolutely excited to see where Heather Slade will take us in the spinoff series, Minerva Protocol.

Amaryllis and Reaper, wow! Tom my breath away. This was a brilliant read that I couldn't read fast enough to keep up.

This was about Amaryllis who had informed on a Shadow organisation and needed help, step in Reaper.

Reaper is a by the book operative who isn't actually pleasant to Amaryllis at the start. But that attraction goes from frosty to to explosive. They do have that connection and a common goal.

Loaded with action, suspense and danger that kept me captivated from start to finish. I didn't want to finish i was enjoying the experience so much.

Another brilliant book from Heather Slade. I loved this series and Reaper was just as good. Reaper is a must read and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Love, Treachery, and Family Secrets
He rescued her from danger, but gratitude was the last thing on her mind. Life taught her to trust no one. When Kingston—code name Reaper—tracks her down, deadly danger isn’t far behind. Charity—code name Amaryllis—sets out to find her missing mentor, only to stumble into a web of betrayal that could destroy everything she believes in.
Together, Charity and Kingston are drawn into a world of love, discovery, treachery, and family secrets. Before they can uncover the truth, Charity must learn to trust—both herself and the man who refuses to let her face the darkness alone.
The romance is steamy, the treachery is terrifying, and the suspense is riveting. I couldn’t put this story down and can’t wait to see what comes next from this author.

Reaper and Amaryllis’ story.

Reaper is determined to find Amaryllis who is an NSA operative and is missing. She went underground intentionally because people were after her. He does find her but she is still resistant to do things alone. Every time she gets close to someone she loses them. She’s not going to take that chance again. Reaper is trying to prove to her that is not so. They are both attracted to each other. Their journey and mission is a very dangerous one. There are revelations for Amaryllis that are disconcerting to her. Her whole life was a lie. Reaper stands by her side and they come to an understanding. Will they be together going forward? Read and find out. You won’t be disappointed in the end.

Code name Reaper is seriously i think my favorite so far in this series! It's book 5 and just from page 1 Heather Slade grips your attention immediately! You cannot stop reading it! I HAD to know what happened next!!! Reaper and Amaryllis are a POWER couple together from the start. They fight their attraction in the beginning literally and figuratively, but that does make for some wonderful steamy moments to come later! Seriously you have to read this book! You have to find out what they are investigating....whose behind her reason for her disappearing....and why the heck she said "trust no one from Minerva"??? Guess you'll have to get the book an find out.

Reaper/Kingston met Amaryllis/Charity on a previous op, and fell straight away. Now she's gone dark and he goes off to find her, on his own with no back up! Mad!
When he finds her they have to run as there are still people trying to find her while she's trying to find someone else!
Can they agree on their differences and work together? Forget the arguments for a bit?!
Turns out they are involved in more than they bargained for and so you get to read another great romantic suspense from Heather, goodness knows where she gets all these great stories from!

Another great read from Heather.

Code Name: Reaper

Wow! Another FANTASTIC story by Heather. It seems this story is more about Charity rather than Kingston (Reaper). It starts out Reaper looking for Charity after she went rogue. Charity was looking for her mentor while avoiding being killed. Once Reaper caught up with each other, they worked together for locate the missing people. The ending was quite the shocker but I am happy for Charity. This couple came out of the last battle fairly unscathed but in learning that the person who saved Charity was family. Glad this couple found their happy ending and are both joining her family's organization. FANTASTIC job Heather! I would highly recommend this book!

Just when I think Heather Slade cannot outdo her last book she shoots the next book straight into the next level leaving your mind boggled brain to try and catch up!

Reaper and Amaryllis’s journey is filled with twists & turns that are sure to keep your head ping ponging as you jump from one situation to another striving to figure out who is good, who is not, who can be trusted and who cannot!! Their chemistry is off the charts and about to boil over. This all of the feels, page turning, brain bender will certainly keep you on the edge of your seat rooting for them. Loved it!!!

Another exciting installment with lots of mystery, intrigue, twists, turns and action (steamy and otherwise). Amaryllis and Reaper were oil and water, fighting, arguing and trying hard to resist the pull each felt as they worked together searching for Mercury and trying to unravel the unanswered questions about the Minerva Protocol. Amaryllis found more than she was expecting, and Reaper ended up being there for her in ways neither of them saw coming. I truly do not know how Heather Slade keeps all the details straight from one book to the next, but she certainly tells amazing stories!

Code Name: Reaper is book #5 in the K19 Allied Intelligence Team Two and it is everything I expect from a Heather Slade book: steamy romance, depth of well-rounded characters and a strong plot. I have one caveat: don't read this book out of sequence. There is an arcing plot within this series (read cliffhanger) that makes reading the series in order advisable. Having read each of the other books in the series, I had a difficult time following the old AND new characters. Because of that, I rate this book 4 1/2 stars.

Reaper received a message from Amaryllis who has gone dark searching for intel against a corrupt intelligence leader . Reaper sets out to reach Amaryllis before the corrupt organization can get her . While they work together they find a conspiracy that goes father than anyone realized . As danger intensifies so does attraction and feelings . Amaryllis's life will be changed forever . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Code Name Reaper is the 5th book in the series and I highly recommend reading them in order because the suspense plot and action continue straight on from where the previous book ended. Reaper and Amaryllis are an absolute power couple - very strong individually, but even stronger together! Their story is full of hair-raising action and sizzling chemistry. Before it ends with a HEA for them, there are some twists and turns I never expected and some very emotional moments. I can't wait for Blackjack's story next.

Another interesting read in this K19 Allied Intelligence Team Two series. Reaper and Amaryllis are going to kill each other, they are fire and water. Very stubborn characters for sure. The intrigue and the mystery continues on in this book and it's a thrill to follow it along and see where this author is going to take you and hopefully it will all come together at some point in this series. Solid 4.5 star
We have been working towards answers about Minerva Protocol through out many books and we are finally getting answers the the teams having been chasing for so long. Amaryllis and Reaper clash together not jut due to struggling with trust, but also as the chemistry between these two. I was not disappointed with action and suspense as well the banter and danger thought out the book topped off with the growing attraction and romance between Amaryllis and Reaper.

"Code Name: Reaper" (K19 Allied Intelligence Team Two Book 5) by Heather Slade was a great read. I loved 'Reaper' Kingston and 'Amaryllis' Charity's story. Wow! Just when I think the books Heather Slade writes can’t get any better than the last one, I get Reaper. I really Liked Kingston. I think he is a favorite. The twists in this book are like going on one of those twisty rollercoasters where you just grab the bars and hold on as you read. There is some steam too. They are so opposite from each other it just works and to me a really good read.

This amazing read offers up an intoxicating combination of thrills and swoon that had me right on the edge and deep in my feels. Reaper and Amaryllis create plenty of sparks and tension as their animosity burns just as spicy and brightly as their unwanted attraction. Thrilling action and twisty suspense are skillfully blended with powerful emotions and potent feels that had me captivated.

What a delicious adversarial romance!

Reaper and Amaryllis definitely hate each other, and everyone can see it in how they interact while working an investigation. Until Amaryllis goes missing and Reaper moves heaven and earth to find her and bring her back safely. But they still hate each other.

I absolutely adored the way these two were written! So much tension, so much chemistry, so much anticipation, and it all eventually led to an explosive partnership that was ready to take on the world for each other. Good thing, too, because that's pretty much what they have to do.

This story picks up right after Code Name: Hornet, but since each is a standalone romance reading the first isn't entirely necessary (though highly recommended). Amaryllis and Reaper's story answers all the questions remaining in the investigation, and let me tell you, those answers are life-changing! So much history and it was all so exquisitely tied together, making this a non-stop read with a wonderful, joyful ending.

The action starts right from the beginning and the pacing doesn't let up until the very end. I loved how it all came together in the end, and how their love story developed right along with the other events that changed how Amaryllis thought of her life. Very intense emotional depths, very romantic intimate scenes, very satisfying deliveries of well-deserved justice.

This is probably my favorite of the Allied Intelligence books so far. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys romantic suspense capers.

This action-packed page-turner follows Reaper and Amaryllis searching for her former mentor. There are surprise twists for the loner Amaryllis about her unknown family. The plot is well-written and the characters are well-developed. I look forward to following the Minerava Protocol.
