Rejected by God, the survivors of the reckoning must fight to keep the Earth.
This semi-heretical take on the reckoning follows the "survivors" of the reaping as they deal with the trauma of being God's benchwarmers. When the desiccated corpses of the chosen ones reanimate, the end of days starts to look more like a true apocalypse. To rid themselves of this dangerous and nuisance plague, the powers that be, (a.k.a. the a-holes God didn't want) decide to take a note from history and use these demon-ridden corpses for entertainment.
With more than enough devils to go around, the survivors of the reckoning are finding dangers lurking in every corner. If it's not the demon-ridden dead, it's the remainder of the human population that's gone from crazy to feral.
The impending war is looming in Lenore's every waking thought, and her arch-nemesis is poisoning her dreams with psychosexual torture. What little enthusiasm she has left for heroes' work is quickly being depleted. With the future of humanity at stake, she must endure and resist the temptation to surrender.
Lenore was never good at making friends, but with her life in tatters, she can hardly refuse a rescue from a stranger, especially since a band of religious zealots has decided she needs an exorcism.
Ian's addition to the group couldn't have come at a better time. With her team becoming more frustrated by her inaction, she needs a friend in her corner. Pressured to confront an enemy who is more demon than man, Lenore only succeeds in highlighting how much of a threat she truly is. The target may be off her back, but now it is aimed directly at her heart.

Felicia Jedlicka writes immersive fantasy and science fiction that blends strange worlds with deeply human characters. Known for crafting character-driven stories with escalating stakes, Felicia weaves complex relationships, moral dilemmas, and epic confrontations into every book.
Felicia's work centers on the people at the heart of the chaos, whether it's a book about a top-secret prison, witches performing exorcisms, or the unraveling of galactic alliances. Her prose is straightforward and infused with a sharp, elegant wit that pushes her story forward without stealing the stage.
Felicia is one fine author. This is a very original theme on the Apocalypse and you will enjoy it. Plenty of romance, demons fighting Angels and the Grim (dead who have risen). This book is the start of the war between Heaven and Hell and it will be decided in this book. Felicia's writing skill is very very good and her characters are all different and well fleshed out. You will for sure pick a favorite one.
