Interesting spotlight on the women incarcerated in Dublin's infamous Kilmainham Gaol during the Easter Rising and the Civil War during the years of 1916-1923. Generously illustrated with a great reading list and fascinating excerpts from published and unpublished letters and manuscripts.
Part of my Irish book club, but pretty disappointing. Nicely bound collection of photos with thumbnail descriptions of many Irish women jailed during the revolution years but with no obvious organization except by period. Very sketchy addition to a collection of Irish history.
