Love happens when you least expect it.

Officer Cody Duncan gave up on love years ago. Or so he thought. He was content with his quiet solitary life, until a clumsy waitress spilled hot coffee on his pants and turned his world upside down. Suddenly, there’s a new heat in his life, filled with cravings for things he once pushed aside.

Lily Jenkins’ busy life as a single mom an

The Brookfield series continues with this 6th story. I have to say that I was thrilled to see Cody get a story of his own and to find his own happiness. We watched as Cody dealt with his two sisters, Alyssa & Diane in Not Just Friends and Growing Love.

In Keys to Her Heart, Cody meets Lily who has her life full of challenges with being a single parent to a son who is having issues in school, being the caregiver to her ill mother AND of course working full time to pay the bills.

This story will pull you in from the very beginning. It was so funny from the very start when Lily, the waitress got very clumsy and spilled a hot cup of coffee on Officer Cody's pants! It didn't help that it was right in front of his sisters.

Lily has a lot going on in her life. Being a single mom and taking care of her sick mother keeps her very busy. Lily doesn't think she has room in her life for something else or someone else.

Officer Cody is pretty much set in his ways and ready to be alon

The moment Officer Cody Duncan saw waitress Lily Jenkins he couldn't keep his eyes of her. Of course, it didn't help she spilled a cup of coffee in his lap but even with that painful moment, he still couldn't help but think about her.

Lily Jenkins can't seem to cut a break. She is taking care of her elderly mother which is draining her emotionally, her son seems to have acquired a bully at his new school, and whenever she is in the presence of Cody, she manages to fall or embarrass herself. It do

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

This sweet romantic novel is about second chances and being open to love. It is a quick read; just perfect for a quiet afternoon of escapism.

This is the sixth book about Brookfield, and although we meet three pairings from previous books, the story can be read as a stand alone. I have previously read Bare Necessities which I enjoyed greatly, and will probably go back and read the others in order sometime soon.

Lacey Wolfe captured me from the opening encounter between Lily and Cody and didn't let me go until the end. Lily is a dedicated single mother who is taking care of her Mother who is dealing with Alzheimer's. She feels like the weight of the world is on her shoulders as she tries to help her son make the transition to a new town and she gets used to her new job at the diner. Cody Duncan thought he found love but then had his heart smashed. When he sees Lily for the first time, it's like a light ...more

This a cute, fun read. This book is a part of a series, but I didn't feel lost as I had not read the other books in the series.

Lily and Cody's romance is sweet and true to life. Lily's life is hectic as she caring for her elderly mother while raising a son on her own. Cody is a police officer who is looking for "the one" after being burnt several years ago.

Both want to take it slow, but when sparks fly when they kiss... its

Lily is a single mother who had moved to a small town to take care of her mother. She is working as

a Waitress and for some reason turns into a total Klutz whenever Officer Cody Duncan comes around.

She is definitely attracted to him and although she wants to she knows she shouldn’t get into a

relationship with him as she already has so much on her plate with her son having problems with a bully

at school and her mother. But the more she seems to fight it the harder it is.

Cody thought he had found t

This was a sweet love story. Lily moves to a small town to take care of her mom. Cody is a cop in said small town. Lily and Cody were instantly attacked to each other but Lily is scared and tries to stay away. Cody will do anything to be with Lily even if it just means friends only. Their story and journey is so sweet and loving with just a little tension. Not every book has to be tense or drama filled, this boo

This was my first book by Lacey Wolfe and I loved it. Her writing style was very easy to read and her characters were all very likeable and real. The story-line was great and I couldn’t put the book down. It was a sweet love story.

It start with waitress Lily Jenkins who had to move in with her mother who has Alzheimer's. She and her son, Gunther, are settling in but she’s busy and has no time to date. Officer Cody Duncan is a good looking guy who gave up on love years ago but while he and his si

This book contains explicit sex scenes, so it may not be for everyone. Lily is a waitress at the Swift Water Cafe. She is also a single mother of a seven year old son, Gunther. She has recently moved to this small town to take care of her mother, who has alzhimers. Cody is a policeman in this town and he comes into the cafe a lot to eat. Lily was waiting on him and getting him coffee and she looked into his eyes and spilled the coffee into his lap. His two sisters who were with him thought it wa ...more

Neither was looking for love. However, it will pop up at the most unsuspecting of times and places. Just like a cup of coffee dumped in your lap. It doesn't matter if your heart is guarded or if you are unable to imagine finding time for another person in your life. Keys To Her heart is a sweet, romantic, and down to earth read.

Everything about this story makes you think this can happen to you. This makes the characters very easy to relate to. When you feel like you can walk, talk, and feel wit

I have to admit, while I've read some of Lacey's books, I haven't read any in this series yet. I need to fix that. Keys To her Heart is a sweet, funny and touching story of two people most definitely NOT looking for love, but finds it anyway.

It all starts out with a spill of hot coffee. A clumsy, busy waitress with so much on her plate. Lily is a great heroine. She's a single mom, her son is dealing with trying to adjust to a new town while her mother is slowly getting worse. There's no time for

This book I fell for right from the beginning. I love these characters. Sexy Cody, I thought his character was great with meddling sisters, a chemistry he can't deny with Lily and all sorts of fun. Lily a single mother, takes care of her mother, doesn't have time for love but wow! Her and Cody hit it off, love their first meeting and their intense chemistry after that, amazing writing bringing you right into their world, I didn't want it to end, I loved every minute of this book. This book starts off with Lily spilling coffee on Cody on his birthday. You think Cody would run from Lily since she seems to be such a klutz around him, but Cody can't get Lily off of his mind. Lily has a young son and mother to take care of and can't stop thinking about Cody. Cody realizes that Lily isn't telling him everything, but he isn't going to push her. Lily wants to tell Cody about her mother, but doesn't want his sympathy. Lily has her hands full, but with Cody's help she has some fre ...more

This was a super fast and very sweet read. I really adored both the main characters. Lily had so much on her plate. I admired her a lot for all that she was going through. Cody is just so sweet and very sexy. He wasn't looking for love but once he found it he wouldn't give up on it. Lily was also really funny and endearing. She normally wasn't a very klutzy person but around Cody she couldn't seem to help it.

There were some steamy scenes but nothing extremely graphic. This is part of a series

This was a Sweet story. I even had a Few laughs along the way..

The last thing Lilly and Cody are looking for is love. Lilly has so much going on at home being a single mother and taking care of her sick mom. Cody had his heart broken in his last relationship. Lilly in no way want to start a relationship because with so much on her plate she feels she has no time to spare. Lilly and Cody have an attraction each one of them is trying to deny in the beginning.. Cody doesn't know what to make of Li

Lacey Wolfe has always had a passion for words, whether it’s getting lost in a book or writing her own. Her goal as an author is to have a romance for everyone, whether it’s sweet, sensual, or spicy. She’s had several books on the Amazon best seller lists. When she isn’t writing, she can be found running, talking to her pets, spending time with her family, or lost in some sort of craft.
