Torin O’Connor thought he could handle the shadows of his family’s Brooklyn mafia past, but one reckless mistake with the wrong Italian mobster changes everything. Sent to Montana’s rugged Carrillo Ranch to escape his own self-destructive choices—Torin finds himself under the watchful eye of Garett Barnes, a stoic cowboy with a past as unyielding as the land he works.
Garett didn’t sign up to babysit a troubled mafia kid, but when his boss Dante calls in a favor, he can’t refuse. Used to solitude and hard labor, Garett works at a BDSM club on the weekends and is unprepared for the fiery, headstrong Torin, who challenges him at every turn. Garett is a Dom looking for a sub. Torin needs a Dom, though he was not aware of it.
The two men collide in Montana’s untamed beauty, Torin discovers the strength within himself—and a connection he never expected. But danger looms, and the shadows of Torin’s past aren’t as distant as they once seemed.
A story of redemption and unexpected love. This gripping tale will take you from the gritty streets of Brooklyn to the wide-open skies of Montana.

Sent to the Ranch is the third book in the Carrillo Ranch series. This could be read as a standalone but in my opinion this series is best read in order. This is the story of Torin and Garett. Torin is sent to Carrillo Ranch by his family to keep him out of trouble. Garett is asked to keep an eye on Torin and things go from there. I love the characters and chemistry between them. I enjoyed the BDSM, Daddy/boy kink in the story. I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series.
This book has everything: cowboys, redemption, age gap romance, BDSM, suspense, and tenderness. If you enjoy stories about unexpected love, second chances, or just want a good ol' fashioned cowboy romance, look no further than "Sent to the Ranch".
Torin, a young man with a troubled past, is sent to Carrillo Ranch in Montana as a favor to his brother. Garett, the ranch's cowboy-in-charge, is tasked with keeping Torin safe from harm. What ensues is a beautiful exploration of trust, love, and redemption.
Garett may seem like your typical strong-and-silent-type cowboy at first glance, but beneath that tough exterior lies a deep well of empathy and understanding. He recognizes the need to guide Torin out of his darkness and into the light, even if it means confronting his insecurities.
The dynamic between Garett and Torin is electric - their clashes are palpable, yet their chemistry is undeniable. As they navigate each other's boundaries, we see a tender side of Garett that will melt your heart. The writing may be rough in places, but it only adds to the authenticity of these characters.
If you're new to BDSM or looking for a gentle introduction, "Sent to the Ranch" is an excellent choice. Garett's approach is caring and explanatory, making it easy to follow..
I just finished reading my ARC of "Sent to the Ranch" by Brina Brady. Yes, I know I am late with the review. However, I'm still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster that is Torin's journey. This book has it all—cowboys, redemption, age gap romance, BDSM, suspense, and a healthy dose of tenderness.
‘Sent to the Ranch’ takes readers on a captivating journey filled with intrigue and emotional depth. The story begins with a young man named Torin, who needs to hide in the beautiful but isolated expanse of Montana. Having fallen into trouble due to the manipulative actions of his mafia boyfriend in New York, Torin is sent away by his older brother. This judge is deeply concerned for his safety. This backdrop of danger and deception sets the stage for what unfolds next.
While in Montana, Torin is placed under the protection of Garett, a seasoned dom at a local BDSM club. Their initial relationship is defined by safety, but as their connection deepens, an undeniable attraction begins to blossom. The slow-building tension between the two men forms the crux of the narrative, showcasing their evolving relationship as Torin starts to explore the dynamics of submission.
This book skillfully shifts the focus from the mafia storyline to a meaningful exploration of the dom-sub relationship between Torin and Garett. It highlights the complexities of their bond and Torin’s journey into the world of BDSM, where his curiosity leads to self-discovery. Fans of the genre will appreciate how intricately the book delves into the nuances of dominance and submission, making it a compelling read for those who enjoy such themes. ‘Sent to the Ranch’ promises readers an engaging blend of romance and self-exploration set against a backdrop of potential danger.
'Torin had never expected tenderness from Garett. His world tilted on its axis as gentle hands traced his skin with an almost reverent care. Each touch ignited something new inside him— not just desire, but a profound sense of connection that made his chest ache. He pressed a kiss to Torin’s forehead, lingering there as he whispered, “You know you don’t have to be strong with me, don’t you? You don’t have to carry everything alone. I’m here, and I see you. Every part of you.”'
I loved this book. Good world building and I loved both Garett and Torin. I liked the dynamic between them and how their relationship developed and built up over the course of the story. Dante asked Garett for a favor- he needed Torin somewhere safe, and the young man needed discipline and guidance. There was such sadness, loss, and longing in Torin. He deserved love and connection and emotional support. Garett had his own insecurities at times as well. Torin and Garett were such a good match and I was hooked to their story. Byron in the story kept things suspenseful. I hope he gets his own story. 5 stars.
Torin’s brother callers in a favor at Carillo Ranch to get him away from his mobster ex boyfriend though Torin isn't thrilled about the situation even though the cowboy assigned to watch over him is hot
Garret really has his hands full with Torin. The story is really good. Characters great plus we see some of the others from previous books. This is set in the Carillo Ranch World but stands alone fine but why not read in order to get the full ride! This is a BDSM story as Garrett is a Dom but not looking for a sub and Torin isn't into BDSM or at least he didn't know he was. If you don't think BDSM is your thing but was thinking about trying, this is a good starter book. Garret is very caring and everything is explained well. If you like stories about redemption, cowboys and Mafia kids, unexpected love, age Gap, BDSM, Dom/sub and some suspense you will love this.
Torin is one of those wonderful Brina Brady characters who acts like he's tough enough to take on the world alone when really, he's a lonely, scared young man who acts out and needs care, stability and clear rules and expectations. Sent away unwillingly to Montana and the Carrillo Ranch, he becomes Garett's responsibility as a favor to his boss. Garett may appear to be the stereotypical strong, silent cowboy but he's got sharp people skills and a deep well of empathy he tries to hide and soon recognizes that he and Torin may be just what the other needs. Their relationship definitely gets off to a prickly start, but their clashes with each other slowly but surely open each of them up to being honest with each other and to finding their HEA.
Torin O’Connor, seeking refuge from his Brooklyn mafia past after a reckless mistake, is sent to Montana’s Carrillo Ranch. There, he meets Garett Barnes, a stoic cowboy with a complex past and a secret life as a Dom. Though initially clashing, Torin and Garett form an unexpected connection that helps Torin uncover his inner strength. However, the danger from Torin’s past resurfaces, threatening their bond and safety amidst Montana’s rugged beauty.
I loved this story with the two men who clashed until they found a way to respect each other to help build mutual trust. There were lots of emotions and feelings as they worked to get to know each other and handle the danger from the past. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.
So ... Torin is forced (for his safety) to go to this ranch, where he is expected to work (at least he's being paid to work there?). He is being forced to stay there for an entire year (why that long? Why not just until things are dealt with?) while also being told that he can't leave the ranch without permission? And on top of that, Garett sees Torin as a boy/sub, so he pretty much starts saying "boy" to him ... without talking to him about it? And now Garett is forcing Torin to go to the BDSM club that Garett works because Torin can't be left alone?? What? Sure, Torin has been thinking about going to a BDSM club, but he's being forced to go ... and to wear a collar so no one messes with him?
CARRILLO RANCH has a new addition. BRINA BRADY has written a FANTASTIC Book to add to this experience. Raised in New York City Torin has gotten himself in some trouble and is being sent to Montana. He's in for some big surprises. Dante Carrillo was his first shock. Learning what Cowpokes is all about is another shock. Meeting Garrett almost bowled him over. Garrett has agreed to keep Torin safe for a year. These two learn together that nothing is cut and dried. Both have to compromise, be completely honest and not to be afraid of the unknown. I Loved This Book!! It has a hard won happily ever after. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS CARRILLO RANCH SERIES!!!!!!!!!!
Intense. Torin, falls into a bad situation and his older brother, Liam calls in a favor from his friend, Dante to take Torin on his ranch for a year to keep him safe. Torin, is a nice man in college raised by his older brother who is 14 years older than him and a judge. Dante, delegates Torin's safety to his friend and employee Garrett, who is a trusted DOM. This is a story of trauma, loyalty, friendships, support, betrayal, new love, adjustments and being willing to be open to new experiences. Good story, nicely done. Garrett and Torin are nice men, great characters and make the journey of exploration riveting. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Torin and Garett had a rocky start as they had many misunderstandings, faulty communication, and impossible expectations, as well as they were both set in their ways and didn’t see from the other perspective. Past mistakes, past suffering, and manipulation also had their two cents. A good friend helps them see their errors, and they start to open and be able to hope. They slowly consolidate their bonds, discover what makes them happy, and find the balance that make them sure about themselves.
This is Torin and Garrett’s story and it was very enjoyable and engaging. Torin gets into trouble and is sent to the ranch where Garrett is asked to look after him and keep him out of trouble. They sure don’t have an easy start! With some help from a friend things start to turn around. I loved watching their relationship develop! Some great characters and enough action to keep you turning the pages!.

Torin has gotten into a bit of trouble and his brother Liam is sending him to Montana for a year to get away from a manipulative boyfriend. He has always lived in NYC so this is a drastic change of lifestyle. Dante the ranch owner put Garett in charge of him. Torin is stubborn and mouthy but Garett sees that is a front for his lack of confidence. This is an awakening story to a new lifestyle with love and patience.
A wonderfully well written storyline that pulls you in to the main characters journey and keeps you completely captivated with the creative storytelling. An in depth exploration of the dom-sub relationship between Torin and Garett really adds some spice but is done tastefully and with emotional depth. Absolutely loved it.

I enjoyed this book. I found it hard to put down at times. The characters blended so well together. The plot was smooth. As far as the characters went the plot worked out well, though there were a couple of places where it seemed to drag a little. There were places where I thought there could have been a little more action and a bit better resolved. But it was a good book and I enjoyed it.
This is part of the Carrillo Ranch series and whilst it could be read as a standalone I would recommend reading them in order to get the most enjoyment from the series, this is Garrett and Torin’s story and it has a good mix of action, Bdsm, Daddy/boy, and romance.
Sent to the Ranch is the third book in the Carrillo series, it's the first in the series I have read but I think it's probably best in order. This is an opposites attract, dom/sub book about Torin and Garrett. I really enjoyed the characters and the action filled storyline.
wonderful characters and great world building.the dynamic between the two mc is amazing and how they stood up for each other is exactly what should happen in a relationship. i'm really glad they got a hea and i'm looking forward to more in the series, keep up the great work.
I love the characters and storyline. I highly recommend this book to read. I love all Brina Brady books she writes books so good and realistic storylines.

Torin has been dating a Mafia boss' son that leads him into almost getting arrested. Torin's brother sends him to a ranch to get him out of town & away from trouble. Garrett is the manager of said ranch. Torrin is rebellious, he feels like no-one believes he can straighten out his life. Garrett sees the torment in Torrin & takes him under his wing. Light BDSM, Daddy/boy kink. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Forum needs a firm hand to help him get his life in order. It is about trust and learning what love is. The writing is a bit rough, and the pacing is off. I give it a 3 out of 5 for these reasons. I would like to read it again if it is rewritten.
