Everyone belongs somewhere. Even the misfits.

With the looming threat from the Mancuso Crime Family, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club is preparing for a war that could destroy them. Grady, the club’s Sergeant-at-Arms, knows that love makes you weak, and he has zero interest in adding to his liabilities– especially now. He’s already got his teenage daughter who keeps him on his

I really enjoyed this book.
However it was not what I thought it would be.
I really really freaking really love the whole Mafia Vs. Biker theme.
It just keeps the missing the mark slightly in my point of view.

Yes the mafia is mentioned and does play a bigger part in this book than in the last. But it kinda goes away.
One standoff.. and then a few mentions here and there. That’s it. (I really want to know what’s going to happen to “Junior”)
This was based more on the MC as a whole. As Grady is

I had the awesome chance to beta read this and I just have to say that this is my FAVORITE book in this amazing series to far. JC has totally outdone herself with this book. I can't wait to read it again and MORE! I need more more more!!!

I will review at a later date and after reading the final edit copy, so keep an eye out for that on my blog - A Life Bound By Books.

I just did not connect with these characters.

This one was very slow going for me, I didn't like the characters much and I didn't feel their connection. It felt incomplete, club issues were brought up then never discussed again, Standoffs just disappeared.

Holly was returning to town after something, not sure what, her backstory was hinted at but was undefined. Overall I thought she was a bit of a shrew. Issues that she had at the end of the book were just danced over and all of a sudden it's year

My rating: 5 of 5 ⭐️

Hating the fact that she allowed herself to make a series of poor choices that ended her back in her hometown, broke, and living in her parents' house, made Holly Mercer determined to dust herself off, pull up her bootstraps and get herself back on track. But when her job at the local high school puts her in the path of the pig-headed father of a troubled teenage girl, who happens to be part of the local biker club, both her resolve and her libido find themselves on shaky gro
Grady is Sergeant At Arms of Forsaken MC, and not at all in sync with his brothers. They are currently at war with Mancuso Crime Family, because of personal drama within the Presidents family. He is prepared to lay his life down for his brothers, but not on board for another brother to die over something he deems unworthy. In the midst of all this, Holly the too prissy school employee enters to nag him about his teenage daughter, and accuse him of being a neglectful parent. Instant enemies are b ...more
Carrie (Rotten Banana)

Overall, this book felt incomplete.

For most of the book, the heroine, Holly, was pretty damn annoying. I kept waiting for her backstory which was hinted at to finally be revealed so I could make sense of her erratic behavior. Instead, it was given a half-ass "I'm not going to let my past rule me" when the past was never explained.

I liked Grady, for the most part. I liked seeing his sweet side with his mom and daughter. I even liked that he was pretty upfront about his feelings for Holly.

At first, I thought this'll be slow paced just the continuation of the plot from the previous books. Didn't like Grady was so mean towards Alex and especially to Holly. As per Holly, she is amazing, a fighter and a survivor.

What happened in this book.....
It was very intense, heartbreaking and tear jerking 😭
I can't even.. I'm speechless 😐

All in all this i'll definitely be finishing this series
So far I am not disappointed 💪

I am one of the lucky beta readers for this awesome lady and I am here to tell you she gets better and better with each book she writes.
This book had me hooked from the first line I read and to me the best of the series so far.
you will love to hate Grady and keep in mind under the gruff exterior lies a true teddy bear.
Our lady in this book is a tough lady and in my opinion a strong willed, hard loving lady who will always go above and beyond the call of duty to be there and help out someone she

Book 3 of The Bayonet Scars Series Rev has it all you will laugh, you will be sad, you will get a little upset but the whole book keeps you interested from page 1 to the very end. Grady is an ass but we love our Forsaken men that way. Older than some Grady has a lot on his plate as the Sargent of Arms for the MC so when he runs into one Miss Holly well she turns his world on end. Holly someone new to our little group has lived a life not as perfect as her parents think she should have but she ke ...more
While I really enjoyed this book, it felt like something was missing that was in the first two, just can't put my finger on it.

*Sigh* I love this series. It is one of my favorite Motorcycle Hotties series. I adore JC Emery's men, and she always has fantastic leading ladies.

Rev picks up where Thrash leaves off. This is another thing I really like about this series. There is no huge time gap, and all of the books just flow together like they could have been all one book. There is just enough back story to "remind" you of what happened in the previous books, but not so much that you feel like you are reading the same book

Oh dear God, Grady, how much I love thee.

Technically I’m supposed to be writing a review. I’m supposed to either hate this book and dissect it minutely (like I did to Ride) OR I’m supposed to fangirl incoherently (like I did to Thrash ) but I’m going to do neither here. Instead, I’m going to give you a list of reasons you should have read Rev like, yesterday.

1) Two words. Sterling. Grady. This man is nothing short of a SEX GOD and he frikkin’ knows it. But the part that will really appeal to you

I am not sure how to feel about this book. It took awhile for the book to grab a hold of me and drag me into the story. Overall I enjoyed it, I mean it has hot MC guys with tats, club drama, could have used little more for me, tears, laughs and a love story of course.

We meet Holly Mercer who has to move back home to live with her parents before deciding to share an apartment with her cousin Mindy. Holly has made several bad decisions in her life but one of the best ones might be when sh

At first, I thought this one wasn't as crazy as the first one (Ride) but then phew! the stuff near the end (and I won't give it away). Holly and Grady were more mature main characters than those in Ride and Thrash, and I enjoyed that aspect and this book a lot. Grady was pretty mean in the first two books in the series, especially with his attitude about Alex, and here he's still pretty mean and grouchy at times. I liked how Holly, who has been fighting herself and her natural inclinations to no ...more

Cheyenne is having trouble in school and is on the verge of being expelled. Holly doesn't want to see that happen and goes to Chey's father for help. Grady isn't receptive to her at all. In fact he is combative and offensive telling her to mind her own business. That all changes when his daughter is in danger and Holly steps in which puts her in danger as well. He lets down his walls and begins to care for her. He wants to protect her.

Grady and Holly together are off the chart hot. Whether they
Once again great writing style, with interesting, well developed characters. I really liked the h, Holly. I thought she was a great balance of smart, caring, a little sassy, and tough all at the same time. She knew her limits, when to push, and I really didn't notice any tstl movements--which doesn't happen often for me. The Romance develops gradually, even though the attraction is apparent immediately. Very violent at end (some readers will find it very distressing), however, I liked the way th ...more

Okay so I totally DNF this one at 20% for many reasons. I love a good biker romance and in fact I was having a good streak with them until this one. The plot was great and the story seemed very promising but the execution? Nah.

I didn't like the writing style, it gets too dragged and overwhelming, I found myself skipping pages just to reach the important parts but my main dislike of this book is the main guy. I know we all love an alpha douche who is hard around the edges and blah blah blah but t

Well I've been waiting for this book and finally I've read it and it was worth the wait Rev and Holly were everything I hoped they would be Rev alpha male Holly sassy not taking any of his crap sexual tension off the charts 52% in we get our first kiss and man I waited for the fireworks and I was not disappointed 92% in and cue the tears that was hard to read my heart was breaking for Mindy and Holly. There are a lot of biker story's around but I have to say this is one of the best I have read so far. It was raw, emotional, and it also has extreme scenes...........but its got a story. A good story and each book I have read (3 so far) has gathered in strength.

I am not sure where JC Emery is going with the next one but the Mafia plot has gone quiet (for now?) and there is still a lot of unfinished business with them so I hope there a lot more of these books to come.

JC Emery is now on my radar

My favorite of the series. Grady was a little bit, ok a big bit rough around the edges, but I enjoyed that Holly stood up to him. I felt there was a slow burn to their romance, which is kinda rare. (view spoiler)

Holy crap does J.C. Emery know how to keep readers on edge! This is the 3rd book in the series and it's getting even better and better and.... yep, you guess it...better! Talking about keeping you glued to the reader and sitting up on edge...even at times yelling at character or two... You're really missing out if you have not started this series yet! But it's time for me to move forward to the next one...

Yeah I don't know how I feel about this series.....On one hand I love it, because I enjoy a great MC book and this one is raw, gritty, angsty, and full of drama but on the other hand I don't know why we have to read about a brutal rape in every single book. I mean does this have to happen all the time?? So as I said before not sure how I feel about this.....
