As a Bristolian I was intrigued to find out more about my hometown. I was expecting the usual tales and myths that I've been brought up hearing. So I was pleasantly surprised, as I progressed through the book to be inundated with stories and landmarks I'd never encountered. The photos are clear and welcome in such a valuable reference book. In fact, I have used this book as a guide when visiting some of the city's hidden gems. All thanks to this book! One that I'll be reading again and again I'm sure.

A great collection of stories about Bristol. My knowledge of local history is reasonable but this filled quite a few gaps in my knowledge. Many of the facts disclosed will help me in my job at Bristol Museums. This one will definitely stay in my reference section. Thanks Maurice!
