3.5 It Wasn't A Coincidence. It Was Fate Stars ⭐

“Yes, all good love stories start with Prince Charming calling the princess a whore and getting the stupid slapped out of him.”

And so the crazy continues. These insane Russian mobsters and all the sweet girls who tame them after a few spanking sessions. The formula is mostly the same with each couple so why do I anticipate each release?

Maybe because in their world, no means yes and yes means maybe?! This series is a lighter side of dub con and I'm partial to these anti heroes who worship their partners. If only sex was this fucking fabulous every time!

Vivian may have literally crashed into Var's arms but she's not as innocent as she seems which was a welcome change. Oh no Miss Viv is running her own criminal enterprise on the side so she's no stranger to the underworld. She just hadn't foreseen becoming the love interest of a mobster.

“I’m going to fuck you like an animal until you scream for mercy.”

Var tells no lies and delivers. He may initially try to spare her life even though Vivian is a liability but it's just easier to keep what he wants. Sweet Animosity wasn't as hardcore cray cray as the previous books and I found Vivian to be perfectly sassy and ballsy. They were still arguing till the end! This was good. I just didn't love it as much as some of the other couples in this series.

Vivian is everything, and I loved her from the start she's an art forger, and well, she's in a sticky situation that lands her in Var arms when she falls into them, lol. There moment is hot and heavy which I love!! Var does give Vivian a chance to run from him when he sets her packing, but the girl needs her money and her paintings, so what does she do not listen to and demand a job at his club? lol. Lorddddd, that office scene 💦💦💦

Also, that bathroom scene to hehe. These 2 were everything, and I love that Vivian was I'll spend your money. That's the kinda woman I love to take him for all the money, haha. And when he finds out she's the art forger, he doesn't get mad for the reasons he's more concerned about her safety and who would try to hurt her.

I wish we had more girl time and more guy time with the side charas. But I loved everyone. I do believe we're getting more books?!?

Every good spice starts with a fight! And this one had many including a food fight 🍌 Var & Vivian were a ticking time bomb whenever they were near each other and the spice that followed was equally explosive 💣 the DIRTY MOUTH on Var though!!!!! Var was absolutely obsessed with Vivian especially because she didn’t easily submit. Omg she ran from him so many times..

Through the book Vivian would deliberately bait him to get a feral response and….it totally worked!! One of my favorite scenes was her getting high 🍃 in the club & getting in trouble. If you like spanking with a sprinkle of dub con

Sweet Animosity was way sweeter than the other stories in this series and I think I’m kind of sad about it. Vivian literally falls into Var’s arms and well…the rest is history. Var wants the beauty but she’s hesitant for obvious reasons and the fact she isn’t as innocent as she’s pretending to be.

“You’re wrong, beautiful. I don’t have any suspected ties to the Russian Mafia. I am the fucking Russian Mafia.”

The banter in here is epic and I loved the two of them together. However, I think I would have liked a little more heat between them. I missed the darker/kinkier elements from previous stories. But don’t worry Blake still delivers. I love this series!

Perfect story for the latest installment of the Ruthless Obsession series featuring hot, controlling Russians who "know better" than the women they want, lol. Sweet Animosity was a great read that moved really well. Vivan and Varlaam's banter was non-stop and he totally got off on her fight, which worked for them both since her intent was to fight to the end, lol. Tons of chemistry between the two of them and their spicy times nearly lit my Kindle on fire. Definitely one of my faves of the series, and the teaser left me excited for the next one!

-no real depth into his horse obsession or house outside of four monks. He talks about it, he has a sexy little saddle in his office but it’s kinda like forgotten and I’m sad cause I wanted an update there with her preg and them living on the horse farm some times.

As always I wish it was longer lol. I swear these from ZB are neverrrr long enough lol. I need an extended epilogue and a bonus chapter lol 😆

I love love love the banter in this book it made me laugh so much and love the amount of rare items that var owes that she would throw at him and he would know it was coming to😂

I would say for me the only negative about this book was it could of been longer I felt I read it to quick and wanted more and I’m sad I’ve finished it and the other thing was with all the breeding in it I would of expected a pregnancy in there and would of loved one to but it’s never happened and wasn’t even in an epilogue

Sweet Animosity is Zoe Blakes latest addition to her Ruthless Obsession Series. This book is TEN STARs worthy! You laugh, bite your nails then bring out the fire extinguisher to douse the flames from your kindle …those scenes were hot! What I loved about Blake’s writing is that you get so caught up in the story, you feel like you are there. Barb and Millie are the awesome characters who make you laugh till you cry. I loved that Zoe added some comic relief which is a bit of a change in her writing…giving this book a lighter feeling. People who enjoyed this story, watched Pepé La Pew hoping he would catch her and ram his dick up her ass, didn't you?

Vivian ends up running from an entire organized crime syndicate over her forgery mishap. Var was instantly enthralled by her and is trying to protect her through brute force. She’s having none of that. But if you know anything about Zoe Blake’s fictional men, they don’t know the word No and he keeps her for himself regardless. Lol.
The spice is spicy.
The alpha is all alpha.
Vivian is a sassy woman who challenges him at every turn.
Is it romance? I mean, Vivian was at a lawyers office trying to get a forced marriage annulled at 93% into the book and then a few I love you’s were thrown in so I felt like it was a bit rushed. Not my favorite of the series but still quite entertaining and juicy!

I LOVED Vivian and Var.

Var - hero, member of the Four Monks and Russian Mafia/Bratva who is searching for the identity of the art forger.

Vivian was my favorite kind of heroine. She was smart, independent, snarky, and unapologetically herself. She was convinced she could figure it all out on her own, and she matched Var's over the top cave man (gorilla) vibes with her sharp wit and stubbornness.
I loved their verbal sparring, impulsive natures, and felt like their chemistry was so well done.

This one stood apart from the previous couple for me, I'm still thinking about why that is exactly but I think it at least partially comes down to Viv being in the criminal (adjacent) field of work already. She had a somewhat working knowledge of who Var and the rest of the guys were and so her journey isn't as focused on learning to exist in the new to her criminal world and money. Instead we watch her *trying* to outsmart Var countless times and attempting to scare him off by feeding her shopping addiction.

Spice was fantastic, cause who doesn't love some light domestic discipline from their fictional men who enjoy the fight as much as the punishment?

This is the series that I most looking forward to from Zoe. I feel it’s too short, I really want all her books to be longer. They are sooo good!

This book is not that dark, but steamy level is all the same. I just love a strong FMC that fights till the end and runs away from the MMC all the time. This book is totally my jam.

Vivian accidently fell into Var’s arm, what a meet cute! Instalove for Var for sure. He tried to protect her but she refused and kept getting herself into trouble but Var saved her day everytime. Compare to all the other Russian mob boss, I think he’s most sensitive and caring and gentle so far. But he still has his rough edge.

Vivian is not a virgin (thank god), but she hasn’t had sex for 3 years so she probably grow back to be a virgin again. And then Var has a very large eggplant that hurts her vanaynay everytime, rough enough. And he refused to use rubber cuz he decided to keep her, love it. And he spoiled her shopping obsessions!! I was moreeeee than eager to return to my favorite world of ruthless and possessive Russian mafia bosses.
Ladies, Var did NOT disappoint! The MFC Vivian, is a FIRECRACKER! Not only is she independent, she is feisty and has a mouth on her. The banter between these two was TOP TIER. She is mouthy and I LOVED it. I went from laughing obnoxiously loud in public settings to needing a very cold shower.
So many nicknames had me dy!ng. “Ceiling girl.” “The boys.” “Big gorilla.” Absolutely fantastic. The attorney’s office scene may never leave my memory, I laughed so hard. 
As usual, the Queen of Mafia writes a next-level feral, ruthless, and possessive MMC, with more s3xiness than one could handle. His MOUTH, well, there is no filter and I loved every second of it.
If dark and mafia tropes are your jam, one-clicking this is a no-brainer.
I loved every second and can NOT WAIT, for the next book!

I was lucky to have been given an opportunity to receive an ARC of Sweet Animosity. Let’s begin with Zoe Blake and her incredible ability to write the sexiest mafia men ever. In SA, we meet Var. He is devilishly handsome with a possessive side that drives the object of his obsession crazy. Vivian, who lands in hot water, is in the wrong place at the wrong time and falls in the hands of the handsome stranger who falls first and is determined to make Vivian his despite how hard she fights him. She is unaware and doesn't appreciate the danger she’s in while Var works overtime to protect her. This may be Book 8 in this series, but hands down, it’s one of the best. I loved the push and pull between Var and Vivian, and you will too! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and more.

Gotta love Zoe’s possessive, over the top Russian mafia guys. And it’s always so fun when they meet their match in feisty women who want nothing to do with them 🤣.

Vivian is an art forger who gets caught up in mafia business. Var is instantly intrigued by Viv but she’s a loose end. So that leaves only a few options… so of course he forces her to marries him after a week or so LOL

I loved their banter. Vivian didn’t go down without a fight. Var was a big softie for her and gave her everything she wanted. I loved how the other guys made appearances and gave Var a hard time too about falling for Viv.

Just so much of the unnecessary back and forth drama with Viv, I found it entertaining at first but she started getting ridiculous after awhile like girl.. just stfu and act with sense like damn.

Var is the typical OTT/J/P mmc, when he wants to make a point you bet he’s gonna stick his tongue down her throat or dick in her. He’s toxic but made it hot so that’s what matters.

I love this series!

While I don't think this book is my favorite of this series it was still a seriously good addition to this series.

I enjoyed that the FMC for once appreciated all of the material spoiling a rich mafia dude could give you.

Dang if I could I’d rate this a 10* plus. The banter, chatter, chemistry, love/hate, you name it. I haven’t laughed this hard in a while.

“ Awwwwww…you just called me Viv. We’re nickname buddies. You’re Var and I’m Viv. Oh my God, that makes us sound like a cheesy couple who goes on bowling dates. Viv and Var.”. How can you not laugh when reading that.
This book literally starts with her falling into his arms. As a matter of fact for a bit of,the book his buddies call her Ceiling Girl 🤭.

You really need to read this book. These two are something else. Oh and did I mention the ending!! Yup you have to read to find out. Way to go Zoe. Can’t wait for,the next book. Have fun reading this one.
