I’ll never forget the first time I saw Berkley Black.
I can still picture what she was wearing and how she took my breath away—she was the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen.
The love we shared was something I know I’ll never experience again...
but I walked away, even though it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
When an injury takes away my spot as QB1, I jump at the chance to be near her again, even if it means torturing myself.
What I didn’t expect was the gut-wrenching pain of seeing her with him. Someone I used to call a friend until he let his jealousy get in the way. I know I deserve it after how I hurt her, but that doesn’t mean I have to make it easy for them.
Especially when I realize that everything I put us through was ultimately for nothing.
Now, all that’s left is to hope it’s not too late for her to give me one last chance.
A New Yorker and a Southern Belle. Two Book Obsessed Babes that became lifelong best friends over their love for a good romance novel.
When they're not writing, they're devouring a good book, or spending time with their family and friends. Total opposites in some ways and exactly the same in others, making them a dynamic author duo.
College football romance and it was so cute. Berkeley and Nate were just two cute and I loved Berkeley and her little fiery self. It was a great second chance romance kinda story. Thank you Hambright PR for this ARC
ARC Review Releases 4/15 ✨️This book hit me with all the feels. These second chance romances, when they're written well, tear my heart open and then put it back together. That is what this book did. And it was done perfectly. We get glimpses of their past and their story to find out what happened between them and eventually find out why. I loved the mystery of the story and the twist.. did not see that coming! I loved that Nate was so down bad for Berkley. I was absolutely feral for Nate's jealous side 🥵. The SLOW BURN between them was delicious. I absolutely ate this book up. I adored all the friends and found family that Nate and Berkley have. Bellamy was such an amazing best friend, and I can't wait to read her story! I'm also hoping we get a Willow and Nola book 🤭🤞.
Thank you, LA Shaw and Chasing Books PR, for this ARC for my honest review! I truly enjoyed it and definitely recommend to all my friends who enjoy a tension filled second chance romance or love a college sports romance!
Realllly ate this one up!! SO if you like college football romance books, second chance and a man down bad this is your book. 🏈 I was super drawn to the found family/ college scene that LA Shaw brought us to in this book. Nate was down so bad- his letters actually sent me🫠
I loved the college party vibe that I felt in this book and the emotional depth we got towards the end in addition to some twisty twists in the plot really sold this book for me! I love a book that has just as strong side character relationships as the main characters relationship (and we got so much of that here) and ALSO there are a few couples I am shipping so hard for in this series that have me sooo excited for books to come.
“You’re my home, BB. No matter what, I was destined to always find my way back to you"
This book was perfect. Read it considering i was in a book slump and i devoured this in less than two days.
I loved the heartbreaks and my tears were a proof of it. the banter, the jealousy. i needed the angst and this delivered but also the moment of SPICE!!!🤭🤭🤭 it was amazing!!!🌶
It was perfect, how they evolved, grow and healed.
perfect ending too! Can't wait to read book 2
recommended yes✨️🌷
[thanks to the authors and chasingbook.pr for the arc]
Nate & Berkley were absolute perfection! I adored every moment of this story. It’s the ultimate feel good, second chance romance that had me rooting for their HEA from page one.
Nate is the definition of a book boyfriend. The way he loves Berkley is so incredibly sweet, and I swooned over him constantly. He never stopped loving her, and the second he returned to Mountain Ridge, he was determined to win her back. The small, kind gestures he does for her had me melting into an absolute puddle 🥹
Berkley, on the other hand, keeps her guard up, and for good reason. When Nate left, she was just a shell of herself. But I absolutely loved her character. She’s strong yet allows herself to be vulnerable with him. She wasn’t afraid to voice her concerns and opinions. I loved her honesty.
Watching these two reconnect had me grinning from ear to ear. And let’s talk about the spice….They both have absolutely filthyyy mouths and it was HOT!! 🥵
There’s so much good banter in this book between them, but also between the side characters. LA Shaw has done a FANTASTIC job teasing future story lines, and I am so damn here for it 👏
(Cash, baby I love you 🤣😮💨)
I’m so excited for the rest of this series🤍
Thank you so much LA Shaw for allowing me to beta/arc read this book!
Step aside Eli & Queenie… I think Nate & BB just stole my heart.
I’m OBSESSED with these two. Second chance romance just does it for me every single time. Berkley was such a fiesty, bad*ss b*tch & Nate was such a down bad simp for her. I loved every single second of their story. It was emotional, the banter was great, the spice was SPICIN’ 👏🏼
This was the perfect start to a brand new series. I’m so so excited to see what’s in store!

✨ Thank you to L.A. Shaw and Hambright PR for the eARC in exchange for an honest review! All opinions are my own. ✨
Replay was such a great read! 😍 This was my first L.A. Shaw book, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. The twists and turns Shaw wove into the story kept me on my toes 🔄 and sometimes felt like a daytime soap opera! 🎭
Nate crushes Berkley’s heart 💔 when he breaks up with her before college. Two years later, after an injury 🏈, he sees an opportunity to return to the same college Berkley is attending. He realizes he still wants what they once had ❤️ and is ready to give it another shot. Since their breakup, Berkley has moved on with someone Nate once considered a friend. Nate knows he messed up and is determined to win her back through groveling, emotional gestures, and proving he’s changed. On top of that, hidden secrets 🤫 are finally coming to light, which could impact Nate and Berkley’s future together.
If you enjoy second-chance romances with a football backdrop, full of love, regret, redemption, and secrets that bring people closer together, then Replay by L.A. Shaw is a must-read! 📚
Berkley and Nate had a beautiful love story, until one day when everything shattered. Nate moved away and didn't look back. Two years after that moment and Berkley found out that the love of her life was back, carrying some secrets which could destroy them. Besides that, Nate had to fight against Carter Graves to won his girl back. Will they be able to overcome all those issues that stood between them and their happiness?
This was such a tangled story! I wasn't prepared at all for everything that was unraveled throughout this book. It was a super complicated and a little confusing, because of those hidden secrets which could definitely alter lives. Leaving that aside, I liked that, even though it was a young love, Nate and Berkley kept nurturing those deep feelings for each other, in spite of all that time apart. Their connection was raw and they were pretty much addicted to one another. And you could easily see that throughout the story, because they just can't keep their hands off each other. They were like two magnets, impossible to keep apart. All those spicy scene were jaw dropping, filled with lots of lust and longing. Just be prepared for those fiery scenes🥵.
We had a dual narrative that brought the characters to life quite well. They were very expressive and made it easy for listeners to get lost in the story. The audio experience definitely played a big part to me because, at some point it, I felt like things were repeating themselves, just in a slightly different way. Listening to this book made it a bit easier to get pass those moments.
Thank you so much Hambright Pr for accepting me for this e-copy and audiobook!
When I pick up a book written by L.A. Shaw, I can usually assume it’s going to make me emotional. And my assumptions were correct because this book made me feel things. Such a great start to this new series!!
Replay is a sweet second chance romance that tugged at my heart but my discomfort was soothed by the sweet angel baby Nathan Outlaw.
Second chances aren’t usually my cup of tea because it usually comes along with miscommunication, but this one was such a hit for me. Their second chance stemmed from Nate trying to be a hero. He is intention was to protect Berkley (BB) from a secret that would crush her, but sadly he was the one doing the crushing. And with this decision he pushed her into the arms of someone else… his old teammate *gasp.
Nate Outlaw is the blue print here. The man journals…yes you read that right. He journaled every day & he wrote love letters to Berkley. I love an mmc that has some emotional intelligence & this man has it. He’s so open and honest and it was very refreshing. Yes he made a mistake but the man can GROVEL & he wins an award for epic grand gestures.
Berkley is such a fun and a bubbly character and I loved her sass. Of course she’s got an attitude because the man she loved broke her heart and now he’s at her college. What girl wouldn’t be pissed??
BB & Nate are just destined to be together and it’s obvious. The past connects them and even though a couple years have passed the deep connection remains. The growth of their characters was so beautiful and refreshing.
Thank you L.A. Shaw for the opportunity to read and review this advanced copy! 4 ⭐️ | 2 🌶️ 🌊 second chance 🏈 it’s always been you 🌊 college romance 🏈 dual POV 🌊 love triangle 🏈 football player mmc
This audio is FANTASTIC! The narrators Alexis Paige & Aaron Shedlock are amazing and having Nate and Berkley in my ears was such a good time! Such a perfect second chance romance and it literally took me back to my college days and made me feel young again. It was so fun reliving college parties, football games new relationships.
I loved everything about this audio. Once I started it, I listened to it in one sitting. I adore a man obsessed and that is exactly what Nate is. After a breakup that literally broke both of their hearts— Nate & Berkley are now at the same school again and Nate is determined to win her back.
Second chance romance is one of my favorite tropes, the groveling and pining by Nate in this book and the fact that he wrote in his journal from the time they broke up to the present ughhhh so fricken sweet. 😭😭😭
What to expect: Second chance College football Secret tattoo He writes in his journal Found family Groveling MMC She’s with his teammate

Thank you so much LA Shaw for the opportunity to listen to the ALC for my honest opinion and review!
If you love the song Thinkin Bout Me by Morgan Wallen, this song perfectly personifies that!
🏈 College romance 🏈 Second chance 🏈 Football player MMC 🏈 Groveling 🏈 Secret tattoo 🏈 💦 in the👖 moment
Nate & Berkley 😭 I love them so much. This book had all of my favorites: Second chance, secret tattoo, a 💦 in the 👖 moment and ALL THE FEELS!
I absolutely loved how Nate loved Berkley and was so determined to get his BB back. All of the callbacks to their past and THE JOURNAL 😭 why is a man hand writing letters so hot?? I melted with all of his notes and his journal entries when he was apart from BB.
Berkley makes Nate earn his way back to her and good for her! I loved that she made him sweat it out a bit and it made their reunion even better.
The spiiiiice was spicing!!! Both of these characters had dirty mouths and I was living for it! The 💦 in the 👖 and 🍑 play for him scenes will be living rent free in my noggin 😍.
I am so excited to see where this series will go - I am already so invested in the side characters!
Thank you so much to chasing books pr and LA Shaw for the opportunity to arc read Replay.
Sometimes you just need s good spicy college football book that just HITS, and that is this book! This is my LA SHAW book and I’m hooked… you will definitely see me hunting down the books of the rest of this friend group.
Now Nate and Berkley’s set this series off on the right foot. I love second chance where that man is still wrecked years later, and that is Nathan Outlaw. This man arrives in campus ad a junior knowing he needs his girl back. Only she isn’t his girl anyway because he broke both their hearts.
So cue the groveling. And light stalking (and oh how delicious it was. 🫠🫠🫠)
Nate and Berkley had undeniable chemistry and watching them reconnect and fall in love again was so fun to read.
And let me tell you these guys are some spicy little peppers and I ate up every second of them being hornballs. ATE IT up.
This book was everything I love about college sports and I need more.
✨ College Football ✨ Second Chance ✨ He Falls First ✨ Secret Tattoo ✨ Boy OBSESSED
I just finished reading and listening to Replay and it was such a great experience. The book delivers on so many tropes — second chance, college romance, sports romance, and found family — and it’s beautifully written.
I love how the author captured Berkley’s hurt and anger. Her reactions to Nate showing up at her school felt so real and so heartfelt. The family dynamics also took me completely by surprise — I didn’t see it coming at all, and it genuinely blew my mind.
The audiobook narrators were fantastic too. Their pacing, tone, and delivery made the story even better.
This is a solid 4.5-star read for me.
Thank you to the author and Hambright PR for this beautiful ARC and ALC.
5⭐️2🌶️ I can already tell that this series is going to have me in a chokehold. Nate & Berkley's story had me feeling all of the things. I have been an absolute hoe for a good second chance romance and this one sure did not disappoint.
Nate is literal perfection and you can't tell me otherwise. The things this man did for Berkley, I melted so many different times while reading this book. He truly is the definition of a perfect book boyfriend. The way this man continued to love her and never stopped, and he was going to grovel his way back to his girl and boy did he do just that. Kicking my feet and squealing with all of the things this man did for Berkley.
Berkley, you are one lucky SOB. She has that take no shit attitude I absolutely loved, but also still has a soft spot for Nate even if she tries to say she doesn't. She's honest and blunt, but still has her guard up until Nate slowly starts to break her walls down and she allows herself to be vulnerable with him.
The spice in this one had me sweating. When Nate and Berkly finally got together, yessss please. The mouth on this man, I mean come on. The found family they have already created in this book makes me so damn happy. The banter not only between Nate and Berkley but also with all of the other side characters had me cackling out loud several times.
Graham is already a favorite of mine, and I already want more of him. Cash and Mav, can we have a little why choose moment because uhh I'm already feral for these two. I cannot wait for the rest of this mixed sport series and the next couples story.
Thank you so much L.A. Shaw for trusting me to BETA read this book and ARC read it again as well!
The authors knocked it out of the park with this book and I’m so glad I was able to read it as my first ever ARC read!
Nathan Outlaw captured my heart after the very first letter! I love the way he went about earning back Berkley’s love & trust. I love that he loved her thought everything. Definition of a book boyfriend 🥰
Berkley!! The way she was protective of herself and her heart was SO relatable! Her character was great!
HOLY HECK…THE SPICY WAS 🥵🌶️
I hope that each of the side characters has their own book because I have so many questions that I need answered. Like ASAP!
This was a quick, but great read. I highly recommend adding it to your TBR. April 15th is right around the corner 😉
#NewAdult romances have always been tricky for me. On the one hand, the twitchy decision making and all around “adulting gone bad” shenanigans are character traits that come with the territory. I KNOW THIS. It HAS to be part of a story in this age group or it isn’t written right. Feel me? On the other hand, all of it makes me want to scream profanities and stab my eyeballs. LOL *sigh* You can’t have one without the other. That’s my honest opinion on #NewAdult romances. However, when you write it “right”, I don’t get feral. That right there, me not getting feral, THAT’S how you win me.
L.A. Shaw won me. Do with that information what you will. :)Replay was my very first experience with this author duo and as long as they keep writing, I am going to #oneclick the fudgesicles out of them! Believe it.
Second chance romances are my beating heart. They bring me so much joy. They aren’t the only ones, but they are in the top three for sure. There is something truly magical about a story where a couple is trying to get things right a second, or maybe third *shrug*, time around. They fight harder. There’s more at stake because they’ve been here and know how sweet it can be. They’re older and wiser and hopefully learned a few things from life. They’re repentant and more than likely willing to put a lot more on the line. All of these characterizations of a second chance to get things right story are what makes my heart soar for them.
In one way or another, Nate and Berkley’s story had these characterizations and I devoured their story! Not only did my eyes devour their story but so did my ears! This story has been out “in the wild” for quite a few months now, so going into detail about its greatness would be repetitive at this point except I do always talk about how a story made me feel in these occasions. I rooted for these two practically from the very beginning. Their story had a special type of uplifting quality that sometimes can’t be explained with words (this is one of those times). I just felt all of it. There was a strong family vibe in this story and that made me happy and put a huge smile on my face whenever the secondary characters were involved. There’s a slow-burn quality to their reconnecting which had spark and fire, and I really felt every moment of it. Lastly, the story surprised me in quite a few places and that kept me captivated and turning pages like there was no tomorrow. If it wasn’t for my eyes beginning to sting, I’d have read through the night!
🎙️I read this book the minute it landed on my kindle which gave me almost 3 full weeks between reading and listening since I listened to it over this past weekend and those 3 weeks gave my brain enough time to be able to process this story via audiobook like it was the first time. IT WAS GLORIOUS, but also, the performance by 🎤Alexis Paige & Aaron Shedlock🎤 was so ridiculously well done that I think it might have been the reason I fell into this story all over again as if it was the very first time! These two have very versatile qualities in their voices and together they made an incredible team as Berkley & Nate! The spark and the passion behind the story were tenfold when I listened and the #feels gutted me even more but also the uplifting quality was so intense because of them that it brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion. I don’t presume to be an expert on all things 🎧audio🎧 but I will say that if I had to do this all over again, this audiobook would #win every time. Do with that bit of information what you will. :)
A huge thank you to Hambright PR for bring this author to my attention with this ARC & ALC and L.A. Shaw for creating this incredible story! I cannot wait to experience the rest of this world!
Hooked faster than Mahomes can throw a touchdown pass!😍
From the very first page, this book had me in a chokehold—and I willingly stayed there. As a proud Kansas City Chiefs girl, the shoutouts to Mahomes and Kelce made my heart do a happy little touchdown dance. 🥹 Add in a cinnamon roll MMC like Nate Outlaw (seriously, if you look up “cinnamon roll hero” in the dictionary, he’s right there smiling sheepishly and holding flowers)—and I was a goner.😍
Every single character in this book stole a piece of my heart. The best friends? Iconic. The football team? Loveable goofballs. The dad? Wholesome dad goals. The restaurant owners? I want them to adopt me. Even the kids had me grinning like a lunatic. The whole story oozes that warm, southern charm where everyone feels like family and you're half convinced you should pack your bags and move there immediately.
Also, can we talk about the plot twists?! 😳😱Who knew a romance novel could have me gasping out loud and checking if my jaw was still attached? It was the literary equivalent of a surprise fourth-quarter comeback. Just when I thought I knew what was coming… BAM! Another twist. And I loved every second.😍🥹
And don’t even get me started on the surprise POV at the end—cue the tears and the ugly cry. This book was the full emotional rollercoaster, and I would ride it again in a heartbeat.🥳
This was small-town, second-chance romance at its absolute finest. I loved, loved, loved it. 10/10 stars. Would give more if I could. And now I’m off to mourn the fact that I’ll never actually get to meet these characters in real life… unless someone knows a magical portal to fictional towns?
L.A. Shaw knocked it out of the park with this one! Second chance romances are my favorite and this one HIT. The spice was perfection 👌 I literally didn't want to put this down. Also, can someone say PLOT TWIST, helllllo. 🤯
Nathan is literally the perfect man. He's possessive, obsessed with his woman, in touch with his emotions, and hott as heck. He was so swoony and I love him. He was going to do whatever it took to get his girl back.
Berkeley is a feisty little thing that has a weak spot for the only man she's ever loved. Once the truth about everything came to light, she was so mature about the way she handled it.
So basically, I loved this. I love anything L.A. Shaw writes per usual, and I can not WAIT for the rest of this series.
Read this if you enjoy: 💜 College Football 💜 Second Chance 💜 Man Obssesed 💜 Family Secrets 💜 Groveling MMC
Thank you, L.A. Shaw & Chasing PR for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
More 4 1/2 🌟 This second chance college sports romance was an enjoyable read full of angst, tension and the right amount of spice. My favourite part by far was Nate’s journal entries. We get a glimpse of their past as we learn the real reason for their breakup. There is a full cast of side characters and I can’t wait for the next books in this series. I received a complementary copy from Chasing Books PR.
Nate breaks up with his girlfriend Berkley when he leaves for college football because he's too scared of long distance. Soon after, he deeply regrets this decision but when he returns to confess this mistake to her, she's already moved on and dating none other than his (now ex!) best friend! Nate will do anything to win Berkley back, but is it already too late??
TROPES ✨ 🏈 College football 🖤 Secret tattoo 💞 Second chance 🏡 Found family 💔 She’s with his teammate 📓 He writes to her in his journal
5⭐️ Boy do I love me a good sports romance. This book is so well written and it’s honestly my favorite sports romance of the year so far. I am obsessed and now I have to read every book written by L.A.Shaw 🤣❤️
✨ALC REVIEW✨5⭐️ I will never get enough of this book and these two! I loved this one so much in audio. These narrators truly brought the story to life and I throughly enjoyed every single second of it. Second chance will always be my favorite…especially when it’s an emotional second chance…and this one had me so much more in my feels reliving what all happened with Nate and Berkley in audio! Would absolutely recommend the audio on this one!
✨ARC REVIEW✨ 5⭐️ I knew I was going to like this one once I found out it was not only a sports romance but also a second chance romance…and let me say IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT AT ALL!! Nate and Berkley had a connection beyond anything they could imagine but one night before they both left for college changed the trajectory of their relationship. Nate went off to college in Texas while Berkley went to Mountain Ridge. Fast forward two years and Nate is now transferring to Mountain Ridge. Berkley was crushed by the breakup and in the two years since then she has made a life for herself in Mountain Ridge, but things are about to be shaken up. Nate is there and ready to make things right with Berkley but what he didn’t expect was her to be with the one guy he couldn’t stand. They are thrown into each other’s orbit again through their collective group of friends. Despite how much she tries Berkley can’t keep her mind off of Nate. Spending more and more time together old feelings surfed but when the truth behind the breakup is revealed will they be able to get past it and find their way back to each other? I loved everything about this book! Berkley is so hardened to her feelings after everything went down and I loved seeing her open herself back up to the feelings she has for Nate. Once I uncovered the whole story behind the breakup my heart hurt for Nate and all he was dealing with. The way he coped by starting his journal and then used them to show Berkley how he felt at the time. I love when a story can pull on their past but also builds up an even stronger and better relationship. I also have to say I did not see half of what happens at the end coming…SUCH A GOOD TWIST! Anyway…you ABSOLUTELY need to read this one ASAP!!
“I learned a lot in the two years I didn’t have her. The main one being…I can’t and won’t live my life without her again.”
L.A. Shaw sucked me in right from the beginning!
Nate broke Berkley’s heart right before he left for college. Two years later, he transferred to Mountain Ridge U as their new QB. This is also where Berkley attends. Nate took this opportunity not to just play but to get his girl back. Nate had good reason for the break-up, and now he needs to find a way of letting Berkley know the reason without breaking her heart again. Can Nate worm his way back into Berkley’s heart?
Give me a second chance romance, where the spice is spicing, and I’m all in. L.A. Shaw did exactly that. Whew! The plot twist kept coming; every time I thought everything was figured out, another was thrown at us. (Insert close jaw) Nate and Berkley had a special connection; you can feel it right from the beginning. Nate is so obsessed, possessive, and in touch with his emotions, that it makes him hot AF! I enjoyed Berkley’s sass, and the push and pull between them was entertaining. I’m excited for more. The rest of the crew have me very intrigued.
Tropes: football, college, second chance, secret tattoo, found family, groveling MMC.
Thank you so much, L.A.SHAW AND Chasing Books PR for the arc!
•Second Chance •Sports Romance •Girl gang/Found family •Secret Tattoo •He washes her •Toy play
Nate and Berkley were high school sweethearts until the dreaded subject of going to different colleges came up. Nate knew deep down it was best to not give long-distance a shot. But was that the real reason or is there more he’s keeping from her?
2 Years later, Nate ends up at Mountain Ridge University where Berkley goes. At first, Berkley’s walls around her heart are so high but our boy Nathan Outlaw is persistent in GROVELING to get his girl back. Nate is the definition of swoon. The things he does for Berkley when she’s having a rough day thinking about her past family trauma, the journal entries, the closet pictures, like are you kidding me?
The spice? Top tier! He knows all of her spots AND she knows his, iykyk!
The plot twist at the end, I’m sorry but I beg your pardon, what the?! I wonder if Willow will get a book? I would love to know her side of things and inner monologue/thoughts.
The found family vibes in this book were so good, definitely makes me want to continue this series! Looks like Cash & Bellamy are next!

THIS WAS EVERYTHING. When I tell you I picked this book up and could not set it down until I was finished. Nate & Berkly are the definition of soul mates. I love their love so much. You can just feel like love and chemistry and connection these two shares soooo vividly throughout the story. Plus who doesn’t love second chance romance with a man obsessed?! I will be rereading this so often I just know it. The spice was SO hot, like someone please turn the fan on. I loved all of the side characters so much and I can’t wait for the rest of the series. Also that plot twist had my jaw on the ground!! I’m honestly just so obsessed
A cute college second chance romance that was easy to get into with a bit of drama. A lively and heartfelt story with humor, spice, unforgettable characters, and a hero who wears his heart on his sleeve. I was craving a good soapey college romance and this hit the spot. Strong friendships, emotional depth, and a couple who feel destined to find their way back to each other. A great intro to the series and a first read for me from LA Shaw.
Nate and Berkley share a history that neither of them has truly moved on from, and their reunion two years after a painful breakup creates an emotional pull that is irresistible. Nate returns to Mountain Ridge determined to win back the girl he never stopped loving, and watching him try to rebuild what he lost is both tender and compelling. But Berkley has every reason to keep her walls high. Nate’s choice shattered her when they were younger, and she has carefully pieced her life together since then. Seeing him again reopens everything she tried to bury, and her mix of strength, caution, vulnerability, and honesty makes her a heroine you cannot help but love. She knows exactly how deeply he once hurt her, yet she also recognizes the connection between them that never faded.
Nate is so delicious and dreamy as the down bad hero. He has spent two years carrying regret, longing, and truths he never knew how to share. His journals and letters add such a heartfelt layer to his character. Every gesture he makes is thoughtful and sweet. He is open with his feelings, patient with Berkley, and surprisingly self-aware for someone who once ran from what he wanted most. His effort to earn her trust again is sincere and constant, and it gives the romance its emotional weight.
Their chemistry sparks instantly, but the real beauty lies in how they rebuild their bond. The banter is lively, the tension is charged, and once they begin to let their guards down, the heat between them becomes impossible to ignore. They match each other in humor and passion, and the intimate moments add a bold and fiery energy to their story. I will say it was a lot more of a love triangle type vibe/other dude drama than I expected...not my fav, but I also understand why Berkley is where she is, even though Nate is pretty irresistible.
Secrets from the past slowly surface, giving the plot a deeper emotional thread without overwhelming the romance. These twists help explain why things fell apart and why the path back to each other are surprising and meaningful.
The college setting feels vibrant and lived-in, filled with friendships that form a strong found family. The side characters are compelling and key to our main characters' growth, each one bringing extra personality and setting the stage for future stories too. Overall, a solid read and would be interested in checking out the rest of the series.
I just finished Replay and wow—this one grabbed me from the very first chapter. I received an eARC from Hambright PR, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The sports-romance vibes were spot on, and the chemistry was impossible to ignore. The audiobook narration by Aaron Shedlock and Alexis Paige was incredible. They brought so much emotion, energy, and personality to every scene that it felt like the story was unfolding right in front of me. Their performances elevated the entire experience. The plot is engaging, the pacing keeps you hooked, and I loved how the characters had real depth beyond the romance. It’s one of those listens where you keep telling yourself “just one more chapter” until suddenly you’ve finished the whole thing. If you love sports romance, great banter, and audiobooks that bring characters vividly to life, this one is a must-read (or must-listen!)
narration by Alexis Paige and Aaron Shedlock was so good!
This book had me booked fast & I sped through this one in one sitting. I absolutely loved the second chance vibes and all the emotions this one brought with it!! Nate Outlaw was such an obsessed MMC and I was her for it. I adored Blakely’s character and this entire friend group. The found family in this one really pulled at my heart strings. This story had me laughing, swooning, and feeling all the emotions for these characters and what they went through to get back to each other! The spice was perfection also!! Such a great book!
I can’t wait for more from this series!! Thank you LA Shaw & Hambright PR for this ALC opportunity!
