This story immediately follows Book 3. Gideon and Vero are on a quest to find magical medallions that contain the spirits of ancient gods. Unbelievably you realize that Gideon Wolf and Vero have two of these medallions and are possessed by these gods. They both possess magical powers and are actually a type of shape shifter. Unfortunately, and not surprisingly in the quest, they are being pursued by lots of nefarious bad guys. You get to experience really incredible twists and turns with hair-raising escapes. Since this is a science fiction thriller, the only issue is that if you are new to this series, it is more difficult to figure out who, what, why, and where and are not really introduced to these characters into a little later in the book. Also, Mr. Dempsey weaves in lots of ancient history into the story that I find is really fascinating. Really looking forward to the next in this series.

Action-packed Gideon Wolf story.
The Lion’s Path is one of those books you don’t realize how much you needed until you’ve finished reading. The Gideon Wolf series has become my one of my favorite series, and of Ernest Dempsey’s series, Gideon Wolfe has tied Sean Wyatt as my favorite. I love the action and character interactions that are all woven in with historical references and geography of this series. Of course, if I didn’t mention the paranormal aspects of the stories, I would be remiss, this aspect of the story and series are what make the series my favorite of stories in this genre. The Lion’s path reacquainted me with the partnership between Gideon and Xoloti and their snarky comments toward each other.
If you enjoy action and adventure stories with a bit of humor and well-developed characters, Maybe grab copy of The Lion’s path and settle in for an excellent entertainment session. I received and Advance Reder copy of The Lion’s Path and chose to provide my review.

I can't recommend the Gideon Wolf series highly enough.
I absolutely adore them.
Gideon is one of the most genuine good guys that you could ever want to meet,unless you are the bad guys, then he will unleash his inner wolf!
Now that he has Vero by his side, can they find the next medallion before the bad guys?
This is one of the most intense and heart pounding stories to date.
Gideon, Vera and with some extra help not only have to fight of the cartel, drug smugglers and every badass people in between but also find the next Guardian to the medallion.
Can they succeed before humanity fails?
What I genuinely love about this series is not only the fantastic insights into the places that you visit within the books but also the fantastic descriptive detail that the author allows you to visit them with him.

Another Great Adventure!
Dr. Gideon Wolf was a respected archaeologist whose life is turned upside down with the discovery of the first of seven mythical amulets. Dr Wolf has helped to locate two additional amulets, now he Vero are searching for the forth amulet.
These amulets help change the bearer into one of the Guardians of the Innocent who are then charged with fighting evil bent on tyrannical global enslavement.
Now the must fight against African smugglers, human traffickers, and warlords as they try to find the this next amulet before a evil warlord can find it and become a super villain.
Read along and find out how and if they are able to find the amulet, or if they are able to stop the warlord after he becomes a Guardian of evil.

The Lion’s Path is the fourth book in the fabulous Gideon Wolfe series. This is a paranormal series and as each book is a continuation of the last I definitely recommend that these books are read in order for maximum enjoyment.
This is a wonderful, addictive book, and series. Gideon and Myra are wonderful characters and the friends that help them are also great, if a little mysterious at times. The action and danger continue at a great pace as they arrive in Africa in search of the next relic and possible guardian.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it. It is very different from the superb Sean Wyatt series but equally as exciting and addictive. I am looking forward to the next one.

I Am Really Enjoying Each New Gideon Wolf ADVENTURE, and this book Did Not Disappoint me!!!! It was an edge of my seat adventure from start to finish!!!! Things are never calm in Africa
Gideon and Vero are off to Africa to find the next medallion. Adasi, a local warlord, wants that medallion. They meet another shaman that takes them in for the night. They're introduced to a student/friend of his who's sister has been kidnapped by the warlord. Agreeing to help free her the real adventure begins. Read about the struggles Gideon and Vero go through. Its not easy being a guardian but they make a great team. Hope they won't be separated for too long. Great job. Thank you.

Ernest Dempsey has done it again. I was consumed by this book as soon as the first page. The description of characters and places is fantastic. I felt like I was standing in the ancient desert among the people and their creations. The storyline is really good and flows like the rivers in the story. I received this as an advanced copy and thoroughly enjoyed every word. Thank you Ernest for another amazing story!

Gideon and Vero find clues to the area where the next amulet lies but upon the way they find the path to the amulet is anything but straight. Not only is the amulet powerful and well hidden but a powerful warlord has his base located right where the amulet is hidden. Can Gideon and Vero locate the amulet and stop the warlord or will they fail in their mission and the amulet wind up in the wrong hands?

The Lion’s Path
I am really enjoying this series. Totally different than anything else that Ernest writes but it contains the same high level of writing. The main characters are radically different than Sean Wyatt but they are people who you root for. Plenty of action. A good story line with a nice mixture of historical fact and fiction. Looking forward to the next one. Recommended.

Enjoyed
Another great story of Gideon's search for the Guardians. As always I enjoyed the characters and the interplay between the lead characters. The description of scenery of the area and the tension of the battle between good and evil are just spellbinding. This book grabs you and brings you along for the ride. Very enjoyable.

You won't be disappointed
What an exciting book this was, It was none stop action and Xolotl has a great sense of humour that has you laughing out loud. With 3 medallions found, Xolotl, Artemis and now Apedemak, I wonder who will be next.

great series
I am thoroughly enjoying this series through four books and look forward to the rest of the guardians story.
I am not usually attracted to sci-fi or fantasy but this is so well written, mixing action and humor, that I remain glad I gave it a try.

Good straight forward story.
No clever tricks of mysteries but a straight forward adventure story. Yes, a bit gruesome in places but these are the guardians from ancient timex. I enjoyed it and will read the next.
