If you want to read books about early America and the frontier then you need to read this series. I've read thousands of books in my life and found that this series kept me wanting to turn each page. I felt like I knew each character in the books. I don't think 5 stars are enough to rate these books! Lane Ware ski did one neck of a job writing these books!
I read every one of this 20 book series and loved every book. Now that I’ve finished the series, I feel like close friends have moved away with no means of communication. Grizzly Killer and his family and friends will have a place in my mind for a long time. Please do yourself a favor and immerse yourself in their world.
Hard to put down if you are interested in early western expansion. All 20 books were entertaining. Characters were well developed and story flowed. Have a map ready because you can follow the story thru western Wyoming, Northeast Utah and Southwest Idaho.
This series is every bit as good as Lonesome Dove. The scenery is amazing, the buffalo hunts are realistic, the different Indian clans are majestic and colorful. Some are evil and some make great friends and allies. A must read for old west enthusiasts.
I really liked reading about Grizzly Killer both book 1-10 and 11-20. I wish there were more, but I guess it had to end. This might seem crazy but I got really emotional about the way the story ended. I cannot go into detail because I would spoil it for those who haven't read there series. I believe just about anyone who enjoys reading westerns would enjoy all of the Grizzly Killer books. Problem is I, couldn't put the book down. I am a slow reader, but I read 10 books in July and they were not all about Grizzly Killer. I read several different books at the same time. Paper Back, Hard Back and the digital books. If this author has another series I would like to know. All I can say is enjoy the story about Grizzly Killer, I sure did.
