Halloween Makes Me Batty!

Poor Fang! ALL the creepy creatures in his spooky house are driving him batty! But when Fang heads outside for a break, he learns that Halloween probably isn't the best night to venture forth—there are creepy creatures everywhere! This adorable rhyming board book features googly eyes on the cover and "fuzzy" spiders, bats, and black cats on every spread.

Nana got this book for Jack as part of a Halloween bundle on Facebook marketplace.

Since Jack was up for reading new books tonight, we kept it going with this one. He paid attention to the whole book and liked the velvety texture. He liked the big bats better, probably because the velvety texture felt smoother. He also liked the googly eyes on the cover.

This little littles book is an adorable read for the spooky season. It is filled with easy to read language, making it accessible to a variety of readers. I can see kids finding this a fun read, especially where everything Halloween-y seems to be bothering our man character who looks an awful lot like a little vampire.

I like this book. The felt glue-on spiders and bats, etc. are adequately creepy (I did NOT want to touch the little spiders even though they were obviously fake!), and the story is not without some comic merit. I could see this as a good introductory book for the concept of Halloween.

My son loved this book when he was little, the clever rhymes and the fuzzy bats and spiders. A great Halloween read for little ones!
