The Gravity of Shadows

Rate this book
David Ramus first introduced readers to the art world's seamy underbelly in Thief of Life, his debut, written "with the force and speed of a high-ticket auction" (Publishers Weekly). Building on the success of his first groundbreaking hit, The Gravity of Shadows paints a new masterpiece of riveting suspense. Using southern Florida's towering glass mansions, pristine sandy beaches, and brilliant blue ocean as a backdrop, Ramus once again showcases his razor-sharp prose in an electrifying tale that is truly a work of art. When New York art dealer Wil Summer is brought to reclusive millionaire Andrew Stevenson's ocean-front mansion to appraise a cache of priceless art treasures, he finds himself caught in the dangerous undertow of deadly intrigue, political machinations, and murder. Deeply entangled in the net of mystery Wil is committed to helping track down the man who murdered Stevenson's wife. The Gravity of Shadows is suspense fiction at its pulse-pounding best.

An interesting idea for a thriller, but the writing and characterization are wooden.
