Here are a just a few of the surprises waiting in Michael Wayne Hampton's rock-solid novella Roller Girls Love Bobby Knight: Rockabilly, box cutters, roller derby queens, bruises, world-class sass, bad bands, introductions in spotlights, concession stands, and above all, heart heart heart. And there's just something about these gals...saucy and confident, they're impossible not to lov ...more

I had a feeling I was going to love Michael Wayne Hampton's _Roller_Girls_Love_Bobby_Knight_ based on the title alone; then the book came in the mail, and I saw the beautifully designed cover and knew I was right.

Alice is a woman who is always chasing after a man who is doing her wrong, and she's trying to teach her daughters Molly and Jenny how to catch their own man and flirt their way to success. Molly, through her own inventiveness, decides that her way to salvation and financial freedom wil

The story itself is great. The writing is clever and really pulls the reader in. The only thing that got me was that the characters seemed to stereotypical. It was a great read, but most of the time I kept calling out what was going to happen just based on how the characters were set-up. There wasn't left for the reader to discover on their own.

Loved the cover. Loved the title. Something rubbed me wrong on page one and scraped my brain worse as I read on. It's the telling of the story...rushed and crammed. Sorry, Michael Wayne Hampton.
