Obsessed with building new worlds and reading about them, she spends her spare time daydreaming and conversing with the characters in her head. She writes Urban Fantasy, Romance, Fantasy and Reverse Harem Fantasy. All her books contain plenty of action, romance and twisty plots.
Debbie knows how to do a cliffhanger, and this one had me cursing yet again! Absolutely brilliant writing! This story has flowed so perfectly over each book, and this one specifically had my heart feeling all the feels, and I wouldn't have even been right if I tried to guess this ending!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
*Reverse Harem *Paranormal *Multi-PoV *Vampire enemies *Human protectors *Mystery Curse *Guilds *Building Harem (5) *Slow Burn *4/5 Wins and oh so many losses 😱 There’s a lot happening and a lot to unpick in this penultimate book of the series! After discovering her families lineage she’s thrown into another duty with a heap of responsibility landing on her shoulders 😖 forcing her hand however allows her final amour to show his true feelings for her 😍 and they definitely get hot and heavy! Whilst Orina is away there’s a lot occurring for her friends with mysterious marks, teapot figures and the disappearance of citizens it’s all coming to a head and it is NOT looking good! 😣 with one curse hanging over them are they about to end up in more trouble or will that curse be their saving point? Sooo much happened in that final chapter I cannot wait to see what happens in the last book and get those answers 🙈
OMG! Kiss the Dawn was amazing! Orina may not have her blessing, but she isn't going to let that stop her from doing her duty to the Order. She does get into a few hinky situations. I've seen Orina be vulnerable, but nothing on that level. I am truly amazed that she's managed to stay as strong as she has with all the crap that has been thrown at her. That's still being thrown.
Lorenzo Crescent was by her side for a lot of the chaos. I loved that he had such a major role in this one. He and Orina had been dancing around each other long enough. He made me swoon more than once. Now if only the others would get it together. Orina, with her kind heart and warrior spirit, deserves to have it all.
The plot was everything! Witches exist, and they have all kinds of problems. They revealed some major shit. Like, WTH? I kind of feel bad about their situation, however, they revealed their true colors over and over again, so I'm good with whatever happens. There were a surprising amount of new developments. Everything is coming together in a way that makes a little too much sense. And it reveals a plot twist so stunning that it left me gasping and teary-eyed. I was completely stunned. What??? I mean, I thought it, but I didn’t actually believe it was going to happen.
What a read! Kissed the Dawn was epic! There were a lot of shocking moments, I feel like Debbie was trying to send me into cardiac arrest. There were also a fair amount of big emotional moments. How much is one person supposed to take, Debbie? Oh, but it was worth it. It's also worth the wicked book hangover I'm going to have because of that cliffhanger. Only one book left. I'm going to see how it all ends in Claim the Twilight.
It is one thing after another with poor Orina. She is trying to break a curse between a goddess and the vampire king. Now she has to go to an island to meet a family she didn't know she had to help with their problems, only to return to more missing people and betrayal from someone she has trusted since she was little. I thought she had her love life figured out, nope but it does get juicer. There are quite a few plot twists in this book that were unexpected. I don't know how the author is going to finish this series with one more book. There are that many unanswered questions, but I'm definitely here for it. I can't wait. That being said I gave this book 4 stars which could have 5 but the part where the king and her finally get together was a letdown. These two have been going back and forth for 3 books and they finally are together it is maybe a paragraph or two. I was a little disappointed especially with all that buildup.
This one hurt!! Talk about blow after blow after blow. I felt Orina’s pain. But it was worth every page turn. I couldn’t stop reading!! Debbie killed me with this blow book. It was heartbreaking-so many things happened, I was left whirling. I can’t wait for the final book.
All I can say about this book right now is...OMG!!! I have literally been repeating just that for the past ten minutes since I finished Kiss the Dawn. Your jaw is going to be on the floor, you are going to be screaming for the final book, and more!!! Trust us on this one! Orina's story continues in this installment of the series, and boy, is this book a rollercoaster ride! You get so many POVs; it's wild, but you'll never be confused as to who you're following. All the secrets are coming out and it's a wild ride of drama, drama, and more drama! Good luck putting this book down because you won't want to! Orina manages a couple of major wins in this book, but the author throws in so many twists that it's one of the most suspenseful reads I've had in a long time. The ending is a wild cliffhanger. Just when you think one thing...this author says, "Wait, I've got a surprise for you." Your jaw will be on the floor, you're going to be howling, and absolutely freaking out. My kind of story and ending. Let me tell ya. LOL! I can't wait for book five!
Holy…What. Just. Happened?! Ezekiel just rocketed to my favorite vampire! Kastor needs to get it together. And say what now?? Orina’s journey has been one thing after another. My heart hurts for her. I look forward to finding out what happens next. Definitely recommend!
Oh man I dont know how to unpack everything that happens in this book. Soo many secrets revealed that leave lots of new questions. I love Ezekiel in this book and how much he is changing. There is some great steam in this book and lots of drama. I need the next book to find out what happened after that cliffhanger.
The power a woman can wield is prominent in this book. Intelligence, sexuality, powerful physical strength, and fierce ability to love – it’s all here. Orina doesn’t stick to what’s conventional; she sticks with what her heart and intuition tell her.
Because the fate of the world being on her shoulders wasn’t enough, Orina is now forced to face additional expectations that could come later – if she saves the world first. The Isle she was born on, before she was taken, depends on her to save them all from dying of a virus only infecting witches. The catch? Marrying someone on the isle and procreating is the only way to stop it. This would mean leaving everyone she loves behind.
Speaking of those she loves…Cassidy doesn’t hold back on making her readers melt, and does a fantastic job and making her readers feel the same way Orina does about each of the men in her life, normalizing loving multiple men, and not feeling the need to root for one in particular to win out. Instead, readers will be rooting for Orina, and her ability to love each man individually, with equal respect and care, putting her life on the line to save most of them while they all do the same for her. They also accept that she can be in love with other men, and that’s definitely a hard one to make believable, but Cassidy does it with ease.
Orina keeps busy with her Order family, and her friends, as they work hard at solving multiple mysteries in their town, and trying to find answers for her friends with dangerous problems of their own. Cassidy keeps readers guessing all the way through, and let me tell you, will be SHOCKED by the surprise ending! There’s not much I can write about here without the risk of spoilers, but I will say that although I personally would have liked more covered on the mysteries versus relationships, I still say without hesitation that readers will not be disappointed – and will be very surprised – by the revelations on both parts at the end of this book, and will be dying to find out what happens next.
Wow this series has me craving to find out what happens next – its such an addictive series!
Book 4 in the Order of Helsing series was great! Two of Orina’s teammates have been taken, Lorenzo has shown up, and all hell is about to break loose! Orina finds out that she is a 7th daughter but was stolen as a child from the witches, but the witches want her back and have put a price on her head. She has to go to the witches’ isle to meet with them in order to get them to drop the price on her head and hopefully get her friends back.
Things don’t go as planned when she gets there, even though she gets to meet her grandfather and two sisters. The reason the witches are so hell bent on getting her back to keep the blessing that makes the witches immune to a disease that is killing them off. When she is nearly killed there, Lorenzo saves her and gets her away from the witches, but not before Orina pledges to come back. But it was really cool that characters from her Gargoyle series were in this part!
There are a whole lot of other things going on with her other three guys – Ezekiel, Ordell, and Hemlock. And now she cant stop her feelings coming out for Lorenzo as well. But dang… I really hope things work out with Kaster!!!!
But that last chapter?? OMG I am literally biting my nails to find out what happens next after Merry, Holly and Orina are taken and being used for something SINISTER – the ultimate battle is going to happen I’ll bet now that Loviator is free.
After finishing Kiss the Dawn I felt deeply satisfied compared to Reap the Night, where I had soo many questions it was killing me to get my hands on this book to find the answers I craved and answers I found! I am so invested in this series and characters and the fan services in this book came at me in spades. If you love Debbie Cassidy and have read previous series you will have cameos and that brought me so much joy!
Lorenzo showed up at the end of book 3 and my heart leaped for joy, imagine a door opening and a gust of wind and him and the sight and smell of him just envelopes you in a yearning you put on the back burner and then it was instantly turned back on burning hotter than before. Yeah Lorenzo was a high point and not the only one!
Ezekiel and Orina's arc in this book was so wonderful and HOT! I think Debbie has out done herself with the sizzle in this book. Add in the bits with Hemlock and you have to add a third pair of panties to the melted pile. At this point you might as well start going commando but then the book comes to an end and you feel satisfied and intrigued with how is the next one going to top this one and I have no doubt it will.
I missed Kaster and Orina's relationship in this book but I hold out hope that they will reconnect in the next book!!!! So I cannot wait to get my grubby little hands on it as I love being lost in any world Debbie creates.
Ugh I have such a love hate relationship with this book. I love the idea, I love the FMC and the side characters are phenomenal but good lord these brothers just made me dread reading this book even though I was dying for Orina to get her HEA…I just want to hit them with my chancla 🩴 Maybe knock some sense into them all… With that being said, good golly, Miss Debbie what was that cliffhanger? I was thinking that book 4 was going to be the end of the series and I was confused at 80% of the way through the book thinking how she was gonna wrap this up in the last 20% of the book and thank God we are getting a fifth book because I was super disappointed. this author is one of my absolute favorites and the series is just an example of why. She has me sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time and as much as I am always excited to read a new book of hers. I always know that it’s gonna rip my heart into pieces because she loves to put her readers on the emotional struggle bus. That ending was phenomenal and heart wrenching, and I need to know how this HEA happens and I’m so so happy that Ezekiel has gotten on board with what I want in the story. I have so many questions about castor… And the brothers… What happens next? I don’t know if I can wait for the next book… When is the next book coming out? Asking for myself, not for a friend…
Kiss the Dawn by Debbie Cassidy is book four in the Order of Helsing series. I will mention this isn’t a standalone and all books must be read in order. The intensity ramps up in each and every book and this read was no different. I finished this book rather quickly as my attention was captured with each chapter. After everything that happened in the previous book I was looking forward to reading this one hoping for answers. Now did I get the answers I was hoping for…yes. But all new ones presented themselves. What a journey I went on while reading; all the twists and turns. My emotions got a workout. I ranged from giggling to my heart feeling like it was cracking. I seriously felt bad for Orina wondering if she was ever going to get a break. The spice was a highlight and I thought it had some top tier sizzle. I’m still digging all the drama, the action but most importantly the found family vibe. Overall this was a great reading experience that just has me even more curious about the next book. But be prepared this book does end on a cliffhanger. I thought it was written well and the author does a great job keeping you interested with each chapter. I would definitely recommend checking out this series!
If there is something Orina does not have, it is a quiet and boring life. Knowing her key role for saving the world, then saving the witches, and being an Order member living the life of a protector, she is constantly exposed to danger and threats to her life. And still, however good and helpful she might be, there are people who only intent to do her harm for their own benefit.. What a rollercoaster this book was! There isn't probably a single page when Orina gets the time to take a breath (OK, I am lying, there is one with girls' night, that should count). When she isn't trying to find a solution to a problem that seems to not have any, she is trying to navigate the chaos in her own heart, and the drama her personal life has turned into. Loving multiple men only adds to the emotional turmoil of the whole book, as not each of them is accepting of the others or open to the relationship. I personally was very happy to see more of Lorenzo in this book, and maybe would have loved to have Shay's punishment "on-screen, but all in all it was a brilliant story with great characters, amazing world, and racing plot development. Aaaand don't let me start on that last chapter, it has my head spinning with potential solutions and answers and... more questions what now.
Why must you tear my heart out with surgical precision and yet also give the spicy times perfection. Kiss the Dawn sucked me in to this world better than a Dyson vacuum sucking up dirt.
We pick up right where we ended the story in the last book. We meet Lorenzo who has come to help Orina and the gang. This MAN!(swoon) Y'ALL is pure badass and we even get a cameo from a couple of faves from another series but you’ll get no spoilers from me. (Zipps the lips)
Debbie has crafted an amazing story as she starts to bring everything together.
Getting more of a back story about what Orina is and what her "people" want from her, really brings a lot of this story together.
We get more of Padma and Edwin and the choices they must make and you see they're definitely in love but just can't say those words just yet. And Kaster is trying to do right by Orina but he's an idiot in love so i forgive him. But what we learn about him jas me wondering if Orina is the same as him on that way. And Ezekiel oh Ezekiel to see him in love shows just how far he's come and how far he will grow more.
But that cliff hanger boy oh boy does it leave you needing this next book yesterday. I can’t wait for the final book.
Orina just cannot catch a break. She finally breaks through the curse on Ezekiel in the last book and now she is unable to be near him. It should be a time of rejoicing but we are left with more shocks and revelations. We finally learn more about Orina family and how she came to the Order. She is now expected to return to the family to fulfill her destiny but is unwilling to leave her life and men behind. Then of course we get that absolutely cliffhanger of an ending and now I am anxiously waiting to see how the next book turns out. I loved seeing the new side of Ezekiel even if they are unable to be together right now. I know that their HEA is coming and I am so excited for them to get there. He has turned into one of my favorites and I’m excited to see this side of him now. Oh and I loved seeing a few of a beloved gargoyles from the authors other series make an appearance. Even if it was fairly brief I was still excited as I loved these two in their series. I’m hoping to get another glimpse of them in the next book too. Absolutely cannot wait to see how this series ends and would recommend others giving it a chance. It is worth the read

Kiss the Dawn by Debbie Cassidy book 4 in Order of Helsing series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶🌶💀 The stage was set in book 3 for this penultimate book. Debbie delivers a gripping, emotional read filled with mystery, intrigue and betrayal. Orina is the centre of not one but two world changing events, she deals with missing supernaturals, breeding program where her "family" is, falling in love, beginning of love and forgiveness. A curse broken but they aren't safe with new leads on the missing, Padma, Merry and Holly stumble on a conspiracy that leave Orina devastated. The impact of this leave lasting changes. Oh my word its so good. I can't wait for Claim the Twilight. I just know Debbie is going to blow our minds. Tropes: Why choose. Spicy time. Betrayal. Found family. Forced Proximity. Fated. Cursed. Three brothers. Quotes: “And one more thing:” He arched an enquiring brow, waiting. “When you get your hands on him, introduce him to the true meaning of the word pain.” His grin returned, wider and almost feral. “With pleasure.”
“Ezekiel…”“Yes, little silver.”“Are you going to kiss me now?”“Undoubtedly.”
The surprises and plot twists in this book threw me for a loop. I spent a good few days after finishing it, in a book hangover. Orina goes through hell and back only to be taken off guard and struck through the heart with betrayal. There’s still mysteries to solve, and people to find, so Orina treks through it all with sadness but still hope in her heart. She gets answers about SO many things, but also more questions with them. Family is a funny thing, and that’s no exception for her. Everything is so complicated and she decides to just roll with the punches, but how many can our poor girl take? I probably would have given in to hopelessness by now. She does have an amazing support system, even without her blessing, to get through it all. But the past comes back to haunt her with a chilling revelation, and it leaves her feeling a bit dead inside. I cannot wait to get the next book in this series and find out just what happens when you cross some of the most powerful people in this world.
I laughed, I cried, and that was only in the first chapter. Just kidding but there was definitely a lot happening in the 4th installment of the Order of Helsing. While I feel like we got some answers, I'm left with so many questions and just when I thought everything had been wrapped up, I noticed I was only 80% through the book and it made me very nervous. This one does end on a cliffhanger, and I was about to be really mad, but Debbie made it up to me at the last second. A couple of the reveals made my jaw hit the floor and I never saw them coming. I'm super happy that Hemlock redeemed himself a little in this book because I was starting to not like him. We also get a little peek at some left over characters from some of Debbie's other stories which I absolutely loved. With the last second turn of events from the cliffhanger I have no idea where this story is going but I'm clawing at the walls for the next book!
This book picks up where the last one ended. Orina has found out more about herself, making her origins another mystery she needs to unravel. She has yet to figure out how to break the curse and survive everything that keeps coming her way. I love Orina and her dedication to saving everyone she cares about. My heart breaks for Kastor. At first I wasn’t sure where that relationship would lead to as up until the end of the last book, there was no visible relationships in sight for Orina and I’ve not read enough of her books to see how she writes. I thought this would be the final book in this series, but the closer to the end and only one thing resolved, I saw that I was wrong. With the way it started, I was wondering what the point of this book was except to introduce another potential and to stretch out the story, but with the way it ended, I assume the author is preparing for one heck of a finale. I can’t wait for the next (and hopefully last), book. I highly recommend.
Poor Orina! - this is the 4th book in the series and I feel like she hasn't caught a break since before the first book started!
I love this series and this book is no exception - it finally confirms the RH element that I was hoping for - too many good men here to pass up on them!
After finally discovering her family legacy Orina's life is hotting up more than ever both in and out of the bedroom.
This is yet another test of her strength with Orina being thrown from frying pan, to fire, to an inferno, all culminating in the best cliff-hanger yet.
If I thought I was reeling from the cliff in the last book - this one has it beat hands down!
I am not sure how all of this can get resolved in one book but I am certainly going to find out when book 5 comes out!
This series has great characters that grow and flesh out the story - it's fantasy but their reactions are oh-so-real!
With this being the second-to-last book in the series, expect things to ramp up! We're in the end game now, y'all!
Which of course means more steamy scenes, action, lots of revelations (yet still a few MORE questions), a few new characters—including a couple we've met in another series by Debbie, which was delightful to see!—and of course, a gut-wrenching twist ending.
This book was fantastic, and I tore through it faster than any books I read by other authors. Debbie Cassidy is just too legendary and absolutely stunning at her job! No one else can write books this deep, enthralling, fascinating, sexy, and with such perfectly refined characters every time. Every single book by this author is an absolute work of art.
The next book promises to be another stunning series finale, and I absolutely can't wait to dive into it!
Awesome book, but once again I’m tempted to only talk about the cliffhanger. Seriously, it will haunt me until book four arrives. There were multiple times I thought I had some ideas about the ending of this book, but there’s no way I could have predicted this. A lot happens in this third book, multiple questions are answered and the Rollercoaster once again takes some twists and loops I’d never seen coming.
I feel like all my reviews in series written by this author have some similarities, because some things she’s so awesome at come back every single time. The found family vibe, the unexpected twists, how impossible it is to predict anything, the great dystopian worldbuilding, the lovely complications in the relationship building, … I love it every single time.
I can’t wait to find out what book four will bring!
This series is phenomenal . The emotional rollercoaster this series, and this book in particular has taken me on has been intense! These characters are so well done, the growth we see, the changes in a particular vampire especially , was really well done. Orina has been through so so much, and she keeps having things thrown at her, and she keeps on going. I really appreciate her strength , while not an “in your face “ kind of strength it is still there, simmering at the surface and I just think that her character is really really well done. I say it all the time, but this authour is extremely talented at character creation and development! We cannot forget the swoon worth moments some of the men have with her. The twist and turns, the spice, the never ending drama, it is all so well laid out in this book, diving into the next one is going to be antoehr wild ride, I jus know it!
Well, things have just spun completely out of control!
I had a feeling about Lorenzo, it was pretty obvious something was going to happen there. But how much can one girl handle? Ezekiel, Ordell, Hemlock, Kaster and Lorenzo - Orina is going to be spoilt for choice or very busy!
The plot gets blown wide open in this book. So much happened. Things happen that the reader will not see coming, and although some questions are answered these just spark more and even bigger questions. One thing I did love about this book was with the mention of Tulpas and Graynites we saw Levi and Curi from another of this authors series stop by to help. I really love when authors pop in little cameos like this! The book ends with an amazing and enormous cliffhanger and I am looking forward so much to finding out what happens next!
This book is a thrilling ride with lots of twists and strong characters. Orina is a powerful and unique woman who uses her intelligence, strength, and love to face big challenges. She's not afraid to follow her heart and intuition, even when the world depends on her.
The story also explores love in a fresh way. Orina loves multiple men, and instead of picking a favorite, you root for her ability to care for each of them equally. This is done in a way that feels natural and believable.
The plot is fast-paced, full of mysteries and surprises, and keeps you guessing until the end. While the book focuses a lot on relationships, the mystery elements are still strong, and the shocking ending will leave you wanting more. Overall, this is a great read for anyone who enjoys complex characters and unexpected twists.
This book picks up where the previous one left off where Orina has to figure out how to stop the witches from capturing and using her for their own nefarious purposes and how to help Ezekial without setting Loviator free.
I believe Orina really grew in this book, she did in the others but, in this book I believe Orina grew to believe in herself and her men (harem). Things didn't always work out the way she wanted or planned but, at the end, it shows that love really does overcome evil and as long as she doesn't push her guys away in the next book, I think Orina may just have the HEA her and her guys all deserve.
This book does end on a cliffhanger but, the next book is supposed to be the final one and I'm crossing my fingers they can end Loviator once and for all!
This is the 4th book in Orina's series and this one does not slow down for a minute. Whilst previous books hinted at a possible RH relationship, this book confirms it, and I am so happy! Although of all the guys surrounding her Ezekiel is not my favourite, even though he plays the biggest part.
Everything is starting to come together, and in true Cassidy style, all the little pieces start making sense in the bigger picture. Orina finds out about her bio parents, which leads to a shock betrayal.
I'm really looking forward to the final book, where I know everything will all come together, even things I hadn't even thought of. I'm also looking forward to seeing which guys she ends up with..... so many to choose from.....keep them all!
I absolutely loved this book and I believe it is the best one in the series! All the twists and that cliffy?!?!?! Debbie is known to have on average 5 books in her series and as I got close to the ending, I can see why as there was so much going on with this book. Orina is learning more about her past on the Isle which adds another twist to this story but I promise it is explained at the end. Now, Kaster and the order, I did not see that one coming and better be explained in book 5. We get a glimpse at Orina and Lorenzo as that fire was building for awhile now. Lorenzo is kind of a BA and has so much more to him. Poor Hemlock, such a broken soul. Like I said, so many twists and side stories that I could not put this one down. I can't wait for book 5!
