A fun book for your little one. It is a chilly day and Dora is at a friends house. Her friend is going to make Dora and Boots a surprise but needs an ingredient for it, namely chocolate. So Dora and Boots head off to the chocolate tree to get some. Along the way they have to solve some problems and meet various characters from the television series. They find out what these characters do on a chilly day. Finally they get the chocolate and Dora's friend makes them her chilly surprise. All in all a fun quick read read. If you have a young one who is familiar with Dora they will likely enjoy this book. Even those who don't watch Dora will likely enjoy it as well. Happy reading.

Whenever we do anything with Dora, the kids yell the tag lines from the show. And it always make me laugh at the time we put a Dora DVD on in the van and then as we drove, listening to music, the kids would start shouting at random.

Fans of Dora the Explorer will enjoy this engaging book. Going through the story is almost like being immersed in one of the television episodes. It follows a similar format, so kids will be able to relate to it. The book asks questions as the story moves along, to keep young readers involved and thinking as they read or hear the story. Favorite characters from the show make an appearance as Dora and Boots work towards their goal.

Simple, colorful, and fun, this was an enjoyable read to share with my daughters. We picked up our copy at the local thrift store.

This one had a faster pace, which I liked, and I'm generally a fan of cosy things.
