Another great Christian mystery/thriller by Julie Gilbert. She makes her characters come to life and you feel like you are part of the story. Her books are very well written and keep you guessing all the way to the end of the book. This time someone is trying to kill Ann's sister and she will do whatever it takes to protect her even at the risk of her own life.

Joy Davidson is just trying to do her job at an animal clinic when she uncovers evidence of a treacherous conspiracy. Her discovery makes her a threat to the operation and a target for the conspirators. The fact that Special Agent Ann Duncan is Joy's sister may keep Joy safe or put her in more danger in The Davidson Case by author Julie C. Gilbert.

I jumped into this third book of the Heartfelt Cases series after having liked the first two books. I found this one somewhat more difficult to follow

When the files in the veterinarian’s clinic that Joy Davidson works in show the animals to have some extremely rare diseases and the animals to be on experimental drugs, Joy becomes suspicious. Coupled with an overheard conversation, Joy decides to tell her sister Special Agent Julie Ann Duncan of the FBI and ask for help to figure out what’s going on. Before she has an opportunity to look at the copies of the files that Joy copied, Ann Duncan interrupts a home invader intent on killing Joy.

Another great read from Julie C Gilbert. This one was even better as the Duncan's are challenged by having to work separately when Patrick is sent on a speaking assignment. Ann's sister spots an irregularity and when Ann follows up, she finds the irregularity runs all the way to terrorists. As she and Patrick are reminded where their strength and protection comes from, they deal with infiltrators, bombs and all sorts of things in this fast paced mystery thriller that leaves you wanting more!

Shelves: action
Like the rest of the books, I really liked this one. The Heartfelt cases are short books, but each one is well developed, with lovable characters, and non-stop action. I would love to see this author try a longer crime novel.

Julie C. Gilbert just keeps writing great Christian fiction reads & the reader will not be disappointed by The Davidson Case! Full of suspense, family devotion, & a surprise traitor at the end & it all comes together & is definitely left open for another mystery! By all means, read all of The Heartfelt Cases!

A most enjoyable read. I really enjoy this series and each one is interesting and different. The characters come alive on the pages and the books are well written
Like the earlier books in the series, this book is short and fun to read. I like this author's distinctive voice and the way she weaves a Christian message naturally into the story.
