Frigid rich bitch Claudia gets a little implant in the right spot with a remote control. Turn the knob and voila! She's a hot cauldron of unleashed lust!
I read a reprint version in colour and in English. This is Manara's Italian adult fantasy centred round a device that can control human libido, later made into a film and then a film franchise [mature audience]. 7 out of 12, Three Star read that is as literary as it is erotica :) 2013 read
EN Milo Manara is a living legend, and his signature drawing style is both unmistakable and instantly recognizable. Few, if any, artists can depict femininity with the elegance and sensuality that he achieves.
"Clic" stands among his most iconic works. As an erotic story, it may not appeal to everyone, but within its genre, it stands as a true masterpiece.
This is a piece unapologetically free from political correctness. It embraces all fantasies without restraint, which makes it both daring and provocative. In fact, it's hard to imagine some of the content in this work being published today—a testament to how modern-day censorship has evolved.
"Clic" is a singular piece of comic book history. It represents the work of a legendary creator whose legacy will forever stand among the giants of the medium.

So someone creates a device where a woman loses control of her sexuality and wants to have sex with everything. This is then used to embarrass her, and more importantly (in the way the story is told) embarrass her husband. That's really all you need to know. It's kind of terrible in about forty different ways.
I would expect nothing less from Milo Manara. The story is erotica but considering it's from a man's POV you can understand why it actually looks a lot like p@#n. I would have preferred the guy who put the implant in her to be an old flame she hated but couldn't get over. The art is brilliant though.
Second Edition = Second Printing = May 1988 ->above is spelled out yet it's "3" on "printers key" (# line)
->CENSOR/CENSURE ALERT<- I even own this in French which has the deleted scene from this and Dark Horse's "Manara Erotica 1" that would fit in between the first and second lines of page 30 because I can't abide being withheld. It's a matter of principle- not content. Both of the publishers think you cannot handle a mother s-ing her son's d to get him free of his hyperactivity so that he stops causing a ruckus on the beach around others.
In English, I read this in "Manara Erotica 1" but I must own every Catalan Communication book before I die and I got this in a sweet trio deal involving "The Ape" which I will read now and review soon. I wish I could rate without it getting in my read stats but I've read plenty more SAN* than can be entered in goodreads (stapled stuff) anyway.
This is beautifully drawn, as expected, and it starts off funny and just a little bit absurd. By the end of the third book, though, (I quote the final lines: "Will they find it [the remote:] or not? Who knows? One thing is for sure - none of this will solve the problems of the Amazon!") it had hit my absurdity tolerance, not to mention the "People of the Stars". I think it's worth reading because visually it really is that impressive, but I guess I liked Gullivera better - it's less pornish and Manara seems to have given more thought the colours and overall drawing.

*** and half stars Milo Manara drawed one of the most beautiful stories of Neil Gaiman's Endless Nights (Sandman) so I was eager to explore his own work. Click is based on a simple premise: what if there existed a machine able to turn even the frigidest person on Earth into a sex machine? The story remains simple, although with a lot of funny and often absurd twists. Aside from Manara's exceptional drawing style expect nothing deep to be discovered (pun intended) (actually, there IS something deep to be discovered, lol).
The book is exactly what the description says it is so hopefully that conveys sufficiently the problematic aspects of the story. But it's mostly played off with light humor and Manara's gorgeous linework with warm colors makes this a fun time overall. The concept is overly raunchy and Manara's approach is anything but delicate, but it still works because of the artwork.
Story for simpletons is just excuse to create erotica comics. Manara's naked sexually explicit women looks hot and horny, but that about it. The story is stupid, the "writing" is rather bad and in modern comic Click! is rather relic of historical erotic comics controversy than a good Comics.
Account of a psychoanalytic orgasmic deviance adventure of society and desire, in very few pages Milo Manara does the work Bergman did in Persona, with a more compelling and even more drastic method.
Seguiremos leyendo...
The ending of this makes no sense. Also having read a few porno-graphic novels now, this shies away from showing too much, which defeats the purpose. If you're going to make porn, at least go all the way and make porn, you know?
This is just like the skit in Spinal Tap about the cover of their album Smell The Glove, but as a comic. The difference is that Spinal Tap made fun of the same embarrassing male fantasies that Milo Manara crank out to make a living. This is boring to read and very very eighties AKA old and tired.
It's a tale of power and abuse with strong pornographic elements. I think it's not full on pornography as those elements are slightly not in the center and it has a certain artistic distance and seriousness. Not to speak of the perfect execution of the line art.
