When I received this joyous #gifted picture book I had no idea what a capybara was, so I turned to Google, watched a video by Taronga Zoo in Sydney and learned they are the most surprising and funny animals!

They are bigger than some medium-sized dogs!
They are the world’s largest living rodent.
South America is their homeland.
And their closest relative is the guinea pig!

This is a party of a picture book!

I love the different personalities of each animal in this story, the lessons on friendship, compromise and communication, and the gorgeous pictures!

Amigo si Kapibara, suka sekali berpesta dan disayangi teman-temannya. Dia ingin berteman baik dengan tetangganya, Mila, si Chincilla yang pemarah. Amigo berpikir agar bisa berteman dengan Mila, dia perlu membuat pertunjukan untuk membuat si Chincila senang.

Masalahnya, dia latihan di siang hari, waktu tidurnya si Chincila. Haduh!!! Jelas Mila terganggu. Lalu tibalah hari pertunjukan. Amigo mengundang Mila untuk jadi penonton terdepan. Para hewan lain suka aksinya. Namun, Mila malah menutup telinga. Apa yang Amigo lakulan agar Mila bisa menikmati pertunjukannya?

Buku ini mengajarkan tentang pentingnya toleransi dan kompromi dalam berteman.

Very cute story with lovely illustrations.

The capybara song was stuck in my head leading up to getting this book, I was struck with joy when I laid my eyes on this find, I just had to get this as a gift for my niece for when she's a bit older. It's a beautiful book.

Amigo is absolutely wonderful!
The critters are all adorable, especially the dancing cats.
