Similar to The Greener Forest, this book is a collection of journeys, each story delving into a different world, each with a sense of place so well-realized that it made me wish for each and every story to be developed into a novel someday. Many of the stories take place between All Hallow's Eve and the Winter Solstice, and the fact that I picked it up during the holiday season was purely serendipitous, but when I read it again this time next year, it will be by design.

This book has several stories and poems filled with mystical and fantastical magic. Each story takes you into a world of interesting characters. I really enjoyed The Clockwork Owl and many others. A wonderful read!!
