I was excited to read this, but something about this one just didn't have the same punch as the first two.

It felt like the romantic tension between the characters was weaker, and more performative. There was a ton of sex, but it no longer felt like it was a part of the arcs for the characters or even the plot--which is what makes a good, smutty story a good smutty story (unless you're just reading erotica, which serves its own purpose).

And I felt like the plot was weaker in this one as well? There was all this build up and suddenly all of our heroes are completely helpless? They just keep stumbling forward without making any real decisions, and in a book like this, you *want* your MCs to be making decisions. It keeps the tension and the dynamic high. There is no more mystery, which also weakened the plot. I think this book was doing pretty well up until about the 50% mark, and then I just found myself skimming quite a bit.

There would be a plot point. The characters would have sex. Plot point. Obligatory sex. Cycle and repeat. And that would be *fine* if there was tension and emotion and all the magical elements the first two books had, but it just didn't carry over.

It almost feels like this series should have been shortened to three books to keep the dynamics and tension where they need to be, while keeping the character arcs moving. As it stands, this book just feels a little bit like filler.

I had to DNF and I REALLY hate dnfing. I struggled getting through the first two but this third one just annoyed me. The main character, Quinn, is not likable. She’s supposed to be the leader of a gang but continues to make the worst decisions over and over. She vows to kill Ambrose when atlas gets taken, doesn’t do anything to find him until he’s killed another one of her gang members and she’s now vowing to kill him all over again. I understand building suspense and etc but it’s been 3 books of the same fight. The only thing happening between attacks was sex and if I had to read the same dirty talk one more time I was gonna toss my kindle across the room. It’s just all extremely repetitive and drawn out. I wanted to love this series, I just really couldn’t continue on with it and that makes me sad because I do like Eva’s work.

How will Quinn & the princes get out of this mess with the syndicate.

I am so OBSESSED with this series, with Quinn and her men. The third installment picks up right where we left off in the last book and I seriously cannot get enoughhhhhh. The plot is so good and had me SAT, the smut was off the charts, the trials and tribulations, the romance, everything was on point. I don't know how I'm gonna wait for the last book because this was just excellent.

Eh, I don’t know. It wasn’t hitting the same as the first two. Just not for me, didn’t hold my interest personally. But I love this author so she’ll never get below 3 stars from me!

I loved this book so much! The suspense was truly top notch, but so were the emotions. I love how these last few series have evolved more emotionally quicker rather than saving all of that for the last book. Atlas is definitely my favorite out of the Harem, but Nico and Killian are very close runners! There's just something about A that makes me (and Quinn!) turn into a pile of goo. And that ending?!? Omg. I knew it was coming, but I still wasn't ready for it. I need this last book ASAP!

I’ll be honest…
I was a little disappointed with this one.

I’m on a rant so this might have spoilers.

Quinn was this badass intelligent woman in the last books.
This one?
She just makes bad decisions left, right and center.
She’s also whiny. I HATE a whiny FMC.
“Boohoo…I’m such a bad leader…”
“Waaaa why do all these bad things keep happening??”
“Sniff…I just get people killed.”

Yeah. All of those are true.

And yet I wanted to smash my head through a wall every time she continued to make terrible choices and then cry about the consequences.
Like…Jesus honey??? What did you expect??
That had “fucking terrible decision” written all over it.

The Celine thing? Duh.
The constant use of Votum’s for dumb shit?
Thinking using Emmet wouldn’t backfire??????
💩
*Rolls eyes*

This was infuriating.

The spice was good so it gets three stars though.

WHY DID I NOT KNOW THERE WAS ANOTHER BOOK OMFG 🤬 okay I’m calm now, I like the series so far, it’s definitely not my favorite Eva book but I am enjoying it. I love that River & her men made an appearance. I’ll do a full review at the end of the series.

I swear these cliffhangers are gonna take me out!!!

This series has me in a serious chokehold. Each book is even better than the last. Quinn and her guys are in really deep now, with trouble coming in on all sides. But despite that, their bond with each other is so beautiful. Nico, Killian, and Atlas all bring something different to the relationship. And they all reach different parts of Quinn, giving her what she needs.

Quinn is such a beautiful character to me. She’s strong, but also not afraid to show weakness. Hit after hit, she keeps moving forward. I think this book really showed how strong she is. The decisions she had to make showed how wonderfully crafted she is.

All the twists, turns, and reveals of this series so far has kept me on my toes. This one in particular had me in the edge of my seat so many times, wondering how in the world they were going to get out of the mess they were in. And that cliffhanger… Eva Ashwood knows how to do cliffhangers that leave you gasping and craving more. I need book four now!!!

I received an advanced copy and this is my voluntary review

The Queen of Cliffhangers is back at it!
Holy mother of all that's holy 😳 that cliffhanger will keep everyone on the edge of their seat until Princess of Vengeance releases 10/30/25!

Bonds of Obsession picks up immediately following the end of Crown of Lies.
Quinn is taking hits from all sides and her men are directly in the line of fire and so are her people in Enigma.
PoC gang had it's issues in the last book and now Enigma will face similar issues.
Ambrose showed his true colors last book and now we'll see how far his twisted streak really goes.
The Dark Lotus Syndicate was brought up last book and now we get more information on their society but out of the 6 known members we still don't know anything about Malcolm Mercer and this seems to be deliberately saved for the last book.

Will the Dark Lotus Syndicate be the solution or the end of everything as Quinn knows it?

This is a sordid tale of dark underground politics, desperate deals, begrudging alliances, necessary networking, treacherous betryal, and putting everything you love on the line.

Dirty Broken Savages and Filthy Wicked Psychos making an appearance was EVERYTHING! 😈
I missed my psycho Knox more than anything.

Quotes:
“Sometimes you have to fall apart so you can put the pieces back together stronger.”

“I’m only a psycho for you. And anyone who tries to hurt what’s ours is gonna fucking bleed for it.”

"It’s knowing that this man who feels nothing for anyone else somehow feels everything for me."

🎶 I know heaven's a thing. I go there when you touch me, honey. Hell is when I fight with you 🎶

The Princes of Carnage were once Quinn’s (h) enemies—but from the wreckage of lies and betrayal, something unbreakable took root. Now, the shadowy figure pulling the strings is threatening to take it all away. With Atlas in danger and everything she loves on the line, Quinn will stop at nothing to get him back. Even if it means sacrificing herself to do it.

─── .¸✿¸.•❤•.❀• THOUGHTS¸•❀.•❤•.¸✿¸.⋆ ───

She disbanded Enigma and joined DLS 🫩😔. I feel terrible for her and for the Princes. They have lost so much in such a short amount of time. When will their suffering end? And then—Kings of Chaos mention. MY BABIES. RIVER GIRL 🥹💘🩷💕💞🪄. My family.

The issue is that she had three votums and she used all of them up with the DLS. Now she has to pay the price 🫩. She messed up. She really messed up. I feel like the moment she decided to help Celine was the turning point of her downfall. She should have just done the task she was given. Instead, she went beyond everything she stood for, and that one choice changed everything. She had one job, and now her life is on the line because she royally screwed up. And then the cliffhanger—how are they even supposed to get out of that situation? I can’t shake the feeling that one of the guys is going to end up trading himself to protect her, which will throw them into another dilemma of her trying to win him back. I just don’t know how they can possibly pull through when no one in the DLS is truly on her side. Some people trust her, some don’t, and she hasn’t upheld her end of the bargain. At the end of the day, she screwed up big time, and now the consequences are unavoidable.

[Nico]

This is Quinn Kent—the woman who fought us, fucked us, married me, and somehow managed to claim every piece of my soul along the way. And now she’s ready to sacrifice everything to keep us alive.

There’s no questioning Nico’s loyalty. ❤️💌💗When it comes down to his brothers and to Quinn, he will always put them first. While they’re all trying to figure out a way to divert and mitigate the situation they’re in, Nico is still focused on protecting her above all else. That becomes even more difficult because he has already lost so much and has less power than before. Still, they will find a way through it, because Nico is just as protective as the others—maybe even more. He always has her best interests at heart❤️💌💗. The challenge is that he values her more than his own life, and she hates that, but that is who he is. That devotion comes with a price, and we’ll see exactly what that price is in the final book.

[Atlas]

“You knew what Ambrose was capable of. You knew what he’d do to you. So don’t you dare lecture me about unnecessary sacrifices when you’re lying there half dead because you decided to play fucking hero.”

“I was thinking,” he says quietly, each word careful and deliberate, “that I couldn’t let anything happen to you. Not while I could still stand. Not while I could still fight.” His voice drops even lower, rough like gravel. “And I’d do it again. Every fucking time.”

He sacrificed himself to buy them more time so they could run, and in doing so he ended up tortured by Ambrose. That drove her to look for the mark, which turned out to be her tattoo. But when she went to claim it, she originally intended to give it to Ambrose in exchange for Atlas. Instead, she ended up claiming it for herself. She still saved Atlas, but in the process, she tied herself to the DLS. Now, she keeps calling in favors so quickly that she’s making more enemies than allies. What started as survival has now put a massive target on her back. She never meant for it to escalate like this, but every move she makes digs her in deeper.

[Killian]

“Do you want me to help you stop thinking for a while?”

“Remember your word,” he growls against my ear. “And fucking say it if you need it. Understand?”

He was there more as a presence to ground her, especially because he could actually tell when she was going through hardship. And this entire book was nothing but pain and suffering for her. She lost everything—her house, her memories, everything that tied her to her identity. She also lost her group. She had to let go of Enigma for the sake of her people, sacrificing her found family in order to protect them. In the end, she was left with nothing. Now, she has Killian. He is always there for her, making sure her emotions stay regulated. He is protective, steady, and willing to do whatever it takes to keep her safe💌💖❤️💓🤍. Their bond has grown into a mutual understanding—one that isn’t loud or flashy, but deeply rooted in respect, care, and presence.

─── .¸✿¸.•❤•.❀• OVERALL¸•❀.•❤•.¸✿¸.⋆ ───

I can’t help but feel like Emmett got let go of too quickly. It was just a quick shot, and he deserved more suffering. Yes, they technically held him for a bit of torture, but he royally betrayed them. His betrayal led to the downfall of everything this entire series has built toward. That should have been drawn out, something that really made him pay. And Ambrose? He deserved far more than a single shot. I get that Quinn called in a favor from the DLS, so it technically ties up the storyline, but I hated that a mercenary was the one who really finished the job. Quinn did get the final shot, but it didn’t feel rewarding. It felt too easy, too quick, and not nearly enough considering everything they caused. At the end of the day, both the Princes and Quinn have lost everything. They are left with nothing and will have to rebuild from the bottom if that’s even what they want. Maybe they’ll choose peace, like Willow and her guys. But part of me is hoping for something bigger—for a Kings of Chaos and Princes crossover, a united front for the final stance. It doesn’t seem like they’re closely connected right now, and there isn’t much of a semblance of friendship between them. Still, I can dream.

Eva Ashwood has done it again!!! Anything she writes is chef's Kiss!!!

This series has a hold on me, The twists and turns in this series has kept me on my toes from start to finish, This book was good the development of the bond between Quinn and her men just gets better, the connection keeps getting deeper and deeper with each other. When she finally tells them she loves that made my heart stop, you could tell it was building up and I was waiting to see who would break first and say those three little words!!! They way there loyalty has grown more and more throughout the series and the way her mean have her back and keep having her back. In this book Quinn and the Princes of Carnage have battles from all sides coming at them. The spice is off the charts in this book just like books 1 and 2. They way they worship her and can't get enough of her and vise versa. Bonds of Obsession picks up right where it left off in book 2 where Quinn, Nico and Killian are trying to get Atlas back from Ambrose (the Saint). I did enjoy how she set up Ambrose and took the marker for herself but I was a little annoyed though that Quinn used all 3 of her votums up with such a short time like those are suppose to be used within her lifetime, I feel like her emotions were too involved with the use of the first one, and I mean I understand why she does it she wants Atlas with her, Nico and Killian but why not use the first one on taking out Ambrose at the ritual instead of saving Altas, I feel that one could have been used more wisely. Then when the Syndicate call a meeting for another member to carry out a votum, she doesn't do what she actually was asked/told to do, I get not wanting to commit to her part due to the moral dilemma of what is asked/told of her, but she knew that if she betrayed the Syndicate it would mean she would have to forfeit her life. Did she think she was going to get away from it. After that job she then sees her house burnt down and her tattoo parlor then disbands her gang to protect them because Ambrose did all the damage so uses her second votum just to ask for a safe place for her and her men to go? why not ask Willow and her men for help with a place to hide out to regroup to take Ambrose out. I feel another useless use of her votums. In the end she does finally kill Ambrose but at what cost uses her last votum and Ambrose still gets the last laugh so to speak cause he tells her secret of leaving her target alive from the other members votum. So now she has used all her votums up, Ambrose is dead but now her life is forfeited at the end of the book leaving us with a cliffhanger of what will happen next. There so much in this book that I wish I could comment on but I dont want to give away anymore spoilers as some of them are pretty good spoilers. I still felt everything in this book and was completely invested but was just upset she was making bad decisions even though she thought she was doing the right thing. I still highly recommend reading this book and the series. So if you want a why choose, action, twist and turns this series is definitely worth it!!!! I am so ready to see what happens in book 4 Princess of Vengeance.

Thanks Eva Ashwood for the chance to read this as an ARC

I am reading and will finish this whole series because i loved every other series of Eva Ashwood books and i am committed to it. i loved it all .

But

unlike in other series FMCs Willow and River, they were great with their given roles in the books but here, Quinn in this book does not have that bang 💥 factor. She is the gang leader with responsibilities and everything else. But none of her decisions and actions said she is a leader, that she deserve to be the leader of the gang her father left her to take care of.

Quinn to me felt like someone who is carrying the weight that's too heavy for her to take on. And She is stumbling with all the weight of the responsibility of being a gang leader. And then Ambrose did so many bad things and in the end even though she was burning with the need to make him pay for what all he did, she didn't even get to end him. That's just doesn't feel right(understatement). I mean there is one thing after another on Quinn's part. Ambrose burned everything, put Atlas through so much pain and given his past he didn't deserve that pain and he didn't even get avenged for it. I know lt seem bad to say it but for all the suffering he caused, he killed Quinn's uncle and it wasn't mentioned anywhere to Quinn. Only time it was mentioned was to Atlas when was captured by Ambrose. For so much that he had done, she didn't even get to shoot him? It feels incomplete and unfair. I thought the history of bad blood and the need for revenge and everything and whys of Johan(Quinn's father) with Olivia (Willow's grandmother) from the previous series Filthy Wicked Psychos will be mentioned here but i dont know if its even in the final book or not.
It feels like somethings have left unsaid. unanswered questions didn't get addressed.

Also... Our MCs Killian, Atlas and Nico i love them i just didn't like feeling like they are lacking when in situation where there's a fight or shooting. It seems the hired men of Ambrose had more skills than them and i didn't not like feeling this way about MCs. I hope next the final book of this series will show them more Ruthless (as the series name says) and stronger than how its been like till now.

Anyway......
Fingers crossed for the next book.
P. S. I still be waiting for any future series like these🤍💖

Bonds of obsession by @evaashwood.author

While I think that Eva Ashwoods books are one of the best that I’ve had the pleasure to read I can’t deny that this book series is sadly not one of my favorites.
Don’t get me wrong the storyline is amazing and could have easily won me over with all the heist, mystery and adventures.
The writing style is also amazing! It captures the happiness, the pain and the emotions in general in every scene!
The characters and their development is what is pushing it down on my list. I feel like the characters are way too “harsh” and hard to fall in love to or they tend to fall back into old habits after “developing”.
I mean I’m sorry but acting so carelessly in dangerous situations even tho the main protagonist reminds us every few sentences about the danger but still proceeds to go through with her plan that eventually what a surprise.. fails or makes it worse? She is acting stupid and is not learning from her mistakes. She had 3 Votums to use for her lifetime and she used them all up within what.???? A few weeks? A month? And all for stupid things. And then acting with all morals when she has to have their backs and then betraying them? Sorry but could she not have suck it up and then we got to see how she deals with the emotional fallout? Then she can’t act surprised when the most powerful organization finds out and demands retribution! They had her back but she didn’t have theirs and they had hers 3 times so of course they are pissed but she still acts like she’s entitled to it and doesn’t have to pay or can handle the punishment which she obviously can’t!
And the spice is not that intriguing! they repeat themselves every few seconds with the same sentences and that gets boring real quick. Their dirty talk needs an improvement.

Thrilling, Gritty, and Utterly Addictive ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Eva Ashwood does it again with Bonds of Obsession, delivering a high-stakes, action-packed continuation of the Pretty Ruthless Monsters series. Quinn is an absolute badass—strong, decisive, and fearless—yet she isn’t afraid to show vulnerability to her men, Nico, Killian, and Atlas. I loved seeing her step into her power, leading with wit, determination, and an unwavering sense of loyalty.

The story picks up right where book two ends and wastes no time exploding into action. The intensity is relentless, with Quinn and her men facing off against people/organizations all vying for control. Their problem-solving is as ruthless as it is creative, yet they never lose sight of their moral compass. Watching them navigate these deadly threats kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

I also really enjoyed seeing Willow and her Voronin brothers again, along with a few surprise appearances from other characters in Eva’s universe (no spoilers, but fans will love it!). And, of course, the relationship between Quinn and her men is everything—filthy, raw, carnal, and possessive in the best way. They are bound together by something deeper than desire; their love and protectiveness for one another is unbreakable.

This book is a true rollercoaster, and just when you think you can catch your breath, Eva throws in one of her signature jaw-dropping cliffhangers. If you love dark, steamy, and adrenaline-fueled romance, Bonds of Obsession will not disappoint!

I received this book as an ARC reader in exchange for an honest review.

Eva Ashwood has once again delivered an exciting continuation in her Pretty Ruthless Monsters series with the release of book 3. This installment picks up right where book 2 left off, diving immediately into the action and keeping the momentum strong. For those who love a good cliffhanger, Ashwood does not disappoint—she expertly leaves readers on edge, yet as soon as you open the book, you’re plunged right back into the intense drama and high stakes of the story.

This book further explores the complex dynamics between Quinn, the fierce and determined female main character, and her relationships with Nico, Atlas, and Killian. Each character continues to grow and evolve, and the tension between them is palpable. The chemistry, conflict, and emotional depth among the characters keeps the story gripping, making you want to keep turning the pages to see what happens next.

Overall, Pretty Ruthless Monsters book 3 is a thrilling, fast-paced addition to the series. Another bonus was is seeing some familiar characters from prior book series. and I can’t wait to see how everything culminates in the final book. Ashwood’s talent for creating gripping, emotional, and unpredictable stories is on full display here, and if you’re a fan of dark romance with high-stakes drama, this series is definitely one to follow.

I am being good very generous with giving this the rating that I did. This book was boring and confusing, for the most part. I skimmed so many pages to get through it.

I noticed a very annoying pattern with this book. After every scene where something happens, there is an immediate scene with one or more of them having sex with her. Not just that, but it even happened after getting Atlas back after being shot and tortured. It was just wayy too over-the-top there.
The sex scenes are just too often. I got to a point where i skipped whole pages, reading one sentence per page and moving through it. It was boring.

Oh, looks like her last name is Kent again. She isn't Byrne, like she told herself in the second book.

What is the deal with this mysterious syndicate? Seriously, what is the point? They get their 3 votum, and that's it? Yes, she pretty much "wasted" her three votum compared to what she could have used them for, but is that all there is to it? That's pretty much all they have mentioned, which makes it all seem really lame. And what happens after you use all three? You just have to help with others for the rest of your life? This weak plot point makes me hesitant to keep going.

I will go ahead and read the last book, but unless there are some changes (which I am not holding my breath for) I may end up giving an even lower rating.

Oh wow where do I start. There are so many twists and turns and I love that these books pick up where the last one left off. There is SO much action throughout this one and I love that they are not just facing one problem- they are facing a SLEW of problems.

I am not a fan of some of the syndicate idea because it's confusing.. how is there only three votums to use and what happens when everyone uses theirs? How long has this syndicate been around for these people to only have three each and how many have they used so far? I feel like I am missing something with that whole portion of it. Otherwise, it is a brilliant addition to the story.

I feel like so many things happened in this book and I took a bit longer to read it than normal but I still very much look forward to the release of the last in the series tomorrow!! I love that characters from her past books have made appearances and that she is building a great friendship with Willow!

The smut in this one is a 3.5 out of 5 for me.. I just feel like it's missing something but it still SPICY and still very sexy! I am someone who loves more bondage style is all. I love all three men but Killian is my favorite in the bedroom, then Nico, then Atlas.

Quinn and the boys get into one fucked up situation after another. After finding out Ambrose is the saint, Quinn is forced to make a deal with him to get him into the dark lotus society. But at the last minute, she takes the membership for herself and for her first wish/votum she asks them to help her free atlas.
Unfortunately though, Ambrose gets away and starts wreaking havoc on her life. He burns down her house and her tattoo clubhouse and she’s left with nothing. She has to disband enigma and call in her second votum to get her and the boys a place to stay.
They meet with willow and her boys and river and her boys who give them the idea to contact stupid emmet the traitor. So they go get him and set up Ambrose for an ambush.
Naturally, that goes south and she has to call in her third and final votum to get them out of the situation with Ambrose’s mercenaries. They’re cornered on a rooftop when the dark lotus dudes come and save them.
Then they have to go to a meeting where they find out that one of the other members caught her in a lie. When she was supposed to kill the wife of one of the targets, she I stead helped her escape and she got found out. The betrayal is no joke and the book ends with them saying she pays with her life.

FFFUUUCCCCKKKKK!!! I just flew through this book and I am pissed the fuck off and have no idea what to do with myself!!!
Ambrose is a piece of shit and even from the grave, FINALLY, he is causing problems. Emmett got what he deserved and I'm hoping so will Zoey and her trash!!!
Quinn had to do the unthinkable and give in to Ambroses demands, but twisted it and joined the DLS. But they are a whole other snake!! She got Atlas back and this bunch is stronger and HOTTER then ever!! They all love each other fiercely and it shows in their words and actions!! I love how Williow and her men all prevalent throughout this series due to their tie to Jonah, but now we have River and her men popping up.
The sacrifices that Quinn has had to make, what she has lost and suffered, yet what she gained is truly amazing. I honestly have no idea what to expect next but I KNOW it's going to be epic!!! Im kinda hoping Imogen isn't all bad, Cassandra I don't like, Elliott is trash, Rafael is iffy and not too sure about Owen. Malcolm is hard to decipher but I have a feeling he needs to die.
I cant wait!!!!

Y’all, I say this so much by Eva never misses and this third book in the Pretty Ruthless Monsters series is a doozy!

This book was a rollercoaster of emotion, anger and heat. First of all, my poor baby Atlas 😭😭😭 my heart hurt so bad for him in the first part but my god these men, and Quinn’s, strength are unmatched. I absolutley adore the connection and the care they have with each other and I could not stop reading.

Eva’s books always get me hot under the collar but damn these scenes had me sweating H A R D, that elevator scene though, RENT FREE IN MY HEAD FOREVER 🥵🥵

This book was amazing and I loved the tension throughout but Eva, i am so mad at you for that end because now we have to wait FOREVER to get answers and I’m legit going crazy here!

Ultimately, if you haven’t started the series then you absolutely need to, you won’t regret it and you’ll be just as hooked on these characters as I am!

Enigma crew fight to get back on track after the attack, we see Quinn recovering but struggling with Alta’s being held captive and being tortured.
Killian and Nico are trying to hold it all together, with Nico organising the crew in Quinn’s absence.
We visit Willow, her men and adorable little Dayana for info.
War comes at them in all directions, it’s complete chaos. Death, blood and fire consume everything.
New enemy arise.
New complicated alliances are made, which leave Quinn and her guys keeping an eye on their backs at all times.
This book was utterly brilliant, the suspense and mysterious elements were on point - I was on the edge of my chair the whole time.
The steamy scenes were absolutely hot AF and the relationship developed beautifully.
That cliffhanger ending was brutal!

Another jaw dropping continuation of the Pretty Ruthless Monsters series. Eva always delivers the absolute best in everything she writes and this is no different!
Quinn- our badass, fearless, loyal leader is thrown into the hornets nest, literally fighting to survive. Getting Atlas back is their number one priority...they just have to deal with betrayal, war, and a little problem called The Saint first.

We get another lovely cameo from Willow and the guys that is truly heartwarming!! Plus some other surprises that you won't want to miss!

And last but certainly not least we get absolute carnal love between Quinn, Nico, Atlas, and Killian. The spice level went up at least 3 notches! The passion I felt while reading was truly a beautiful thing. Their bonds, loyalty and love is like no other.

Bonds of Obsession by Eva Ashwood

I Give this Book a 5/5 Star Rating!!

Cliffhanger(?): I Dare Say, WTF?! 😆
Relationship Type: RH> Reverse Harem: MFMM
Romance: 4-4.5/5
Heat: 4.5/5
Dark(?): Not to me, no.
Pacing: Slow-Mid, which is good pacing for this book.
Drama: 5/5
Suspense: 5/5

There was a lot of character growth in this one, they’re all developing feelings that they don’t understand and it fell real, there’s no fast pacing in this relationship, and I love that we get the all the guy’s backstories. You couldn’t predict what was gonna happen next and this book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire, once you open the books you don’t wanna stop.
I can’t wait to read the 4th Book, I really wanna see what happens with the Society, the guys gang, and if Quinn is able to rebuild her gang.

Best reverse harem writer ever! I know once I start reading one of Eva's books that I won't want to stop, and once I finish it, I'll be sad it's over - all truths with this book as well! These are such strong characters, all alphas and tough as nails. Yet they have such a softness for each other. It's the perfect combination to create undeniable chemistry while keeping true to their badass personalities. There is so much action, suspense, mystery, and a ton of steamy passion. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time! You must read this book (the whole series!), you will not be disappointed! Now the wait until I can get my hands on book #4.....

My rating system:
5=will read again
4=recommend to everyone
3=recommend to anyone liking that particular writing style/trope
2=do not recommend
1=DNF

Well that didn’t end well

There was so much to unpack in this one that I don’t even know where to start. Quinn is in a lot more danger than she has ever been. The enemies closing in on all sides are ruthless, and formidable. The one feeling I kept having through out this one was absolute frustration. They are this crazy group of people who take no names and end lives without mercy, yet they are always one step behind. They both have gangs yet, they never ask for help. They go into a crazy situation with just the weapons on their body, but it’s mentioned that they have grenades and lots of firepower at their disposal. That was extremely unlikely for them as the characters they are to walk into a situation with the bare minimum smh. That was very annoying to say the least. I hope in the next book we see better believable choices made.

I struggled with this book. The overall story is great, but it was about 70% smut. To be clear, I’m a smut girl and love it typically but when it’s a 4 book series that could have easily been 3 books if the scenes were cut back a little then I’d prefer that. Don’t get me wrong, the scenes were really good but at some point it does just get a bit redundant. 1 boyfriend is kidnapped, let’s have a threesome. Boyfriend is back, let’s get it on, random elevator ride, etc. I really thought we were about to toss in another in the middle of a gunfight. I’m not trying to be negative towards the author at all. I have loved the other series that I read and don’t remember them being quiet so much, or maybe I was in a different mood. The story is still a great one. I’m just having to skim over parts, which I hate doing.

Book 3 in the Pretty Ruthless Monsters series and this book was packed.
Quinn’s relationship with Nico, Killian and Atlas only grows stronger and more unbreakable than ever. They fill this book with so much spice you feel like you’re in the room and raising your hand to participate. HOT!
The betrayals are cowardly, the plots are thick and twisted, giving you whiplash as you turn your head around in every direction trying to figure out where they all are coming from.
Friendships you didn’t see coming but needed more than you ever thought.
Something on every corner to keep you engaged and on the edge of your seat, this book ran the gamut on my emotions.
Bring on Princess of Vengeance, Eva, I’m ready.
