Perché anelo alla purezza e mi rotolo nel sudiciume?

L'amore stregone è la storia di un uomo, l'ingegner Estanislao Balder, che a dispetto delle convenzioni dell'epoca (siamo negli anni Trenta) decide di lasciare moglie e figlio per una ragazza di cui si è invaghito.
Trama piuttosto debole, soprattutto se confrontata con quella dei romanzi "pirotecnici" a cui ci ha abituato Roberto Arlt, anche perché qui l'autore argentino sembra divertirsi a confonderci sfoderando uno stile narrativo per lui in

De Art había leído "El juguete rabioso" y no me había gustado para nada. A pesar de ello volví a darle una nueva oportunidad con este ejemplar en colaboración con Barenhaus y sinceramente me atrapó.
El libro es muy delicado, tiene una portada preciosa y con un significado profundo de fondo. Comprende a una colección de cuatro libros y éste es el último de ellos.

Me alegró saber que hay más novelas de Arlt además de las archiconocidas. Sin embargo, este es un libro con muchos vaivenes. Me atrapó tan rápido como me dejó de atrapar para luego volver a atraparme. Una montaña de sensaciones que al ir avanzando en las páginas vaticina un final inteligente. No es la novela que más me gustó del autor, está claro. “El amor brujo" es la última de las cuatro novelas escritas por el Argentino Roberto Arlt. Se trata de una novela tragicómica y una burla a la novela romántica muy en auge en el siglo XX.

Mi novela favorita de Arlt.

Si el realismo sucio que caracteriza a Arlt funcionaba bien puesto en función de los personajes marginales de Los Siete Locos y El Juguete Rabioso, en el caso de El Amor Brujo funciona aún mejor, por contraste, por tratarse de una novela cuasi-romántica y que a diferencia de sus textos anteriores la historia está mucho más cerca de ocurrirle a cualquier pobre diablo.
