Não sei porque eu faço isso comigo mesmo.

Eu devo estar me punindo por alguma coisa.

Bom, para evitar o futuro mostrado no volume 5 em que o filho da Vampirella vira corretor de imóveis no Inferno, a Vampirella resolve inovar; acho que ela nunca viu um filme na vida...
Bom, num primeiro momento, ela e Pantha investigam o vodu de uma ilha caribenha genérica; logo depois o complexo militar escondido em que elas moram é atacado por um fuckin'dragão vampiro.
Explico, na verdade, o dragão vampiro é uma freira vampira que é a rainha dos Templários Dracônicos que, obviamente, são um grupo da Igreja Católica-Templário composto por vampiros e dragões que quer dominar o mundo. Tentem falar isso com uma cara de reunião de negócios na frente do espelho. Tentem.
Não dá pra levar a sério, né?
Como a Vampi vira a rainha dos vampiros e dos dragões católicos, ela resolve juntar todos os monstros do mundo no complexo militar escondido nas montanhas de neve, mais as soldadas da Legião Escarlate, mais os vampiros-dracônicos-religiosos, mais os amiguinhos diversos; não tem como dar errado.
Como ninguém tá entendendo picas mesmo, a editora resolve DCnizar o universo da Vampirella com um reboot na maior cara dura. O mundo acaba, e começa de novo.
Pelo preview da primeira edição, agora capitaneada pela Nancy Collins, não mudou muita coisa, afinal, são quadrinhos.

I had high hopes for the final instalment of this series, but to be honest, this was utter rubbish. Volume 6 is a collection of several smaller stories and the penultimate edition of the Dynamite Vampirella franchise. It was a boring ride and the plot has issues.
1. Once again, Volume 6 seems to have older fans in mind, making it a confusing mess for readers who are new to Vampirella. This could have maybe been stated in the description.
2. The fates of characters are unclear. I am assuming issues (i.e. from other characters in this volume - Is there such a thing as a “Pantha” collection?) overlapped here, taking Volume 6 out of context. Vampirella’s story was perhaps continued in a spin-off series, which I don’t know of.
3. Plot elements are random and character intentions are unclear. Vampirella herself is portrayed as the villain and this development is supported with the art style, before she, suddenly, ... isn’t? Coherence is severely lacking.

4. The ending. Oh, boy. What a mess. Seldom have I been so disappointed. I don’t think a villain getting a second chance and potential life in peace and prosperity is a great ending when all other characters die. I mean Vampirella causes the whole destruction of her world and.she.gets.to.walk.away. That must have been the worst ending I’ve ever come across in a comic series.

Volume 6 was a massive letdown. I liked the voodoo story, but that was it. Oh, no, wait. Reading this did achieve something. I’m going to read other Vampirella comics to find out if this series does, in fact, require a deeper understanding of the Vampirella universe or if it’s just awful.

Very much a let-down. I genuinely enjoyed Volumes 1, 4 and 5 of this run--those had the feelings of increased stakes. Volumes 2 and 6 were basically bland stories after "apocalyptic" ends.
Instead this collection is a set off one-offs...they don't quite seem to be epilogues or coda issues outside #34 and #36 (I've give those issues 4 stars).
It does give a nice conclusion with #38 in regarding the meta inconsistencies of the stories.
