A weekend of glamping. A little too much wine tasting. All inhibitions forgotten.

Grayson Sanderson can’t escape the pressure from his parents to find someone to settle down with, especially with his sister’s impending nuptials on the horizon. Despite his successful life running a bridal boutique, Grayson can’t seem to find his own Prince Charming.

When a series of unfortunate events force Grayson to room with his sister’s best friend’s brother on the bridal party’s weekend wine trip, Grayson finds himself in uncharted territory.

Henry Markell can’t seem to catch a break anywhere. When his sister invites him to come along to her friend’s bridal party weekend for some well needed luxury and relaxation, Henry thinks his luck is changing.

Until he discovers he’s sharing a dome with the sexy and mysterious Grayson, who is more than out of his league. But Henry can’t help wanting things he can’t have.

Will Grayson give in to his dreams? Or will Henry’s notorious bad luck get in the way once more?

Readers seeking a friends to lovers romance with forced proximity set in a cozy little town may find this story ticks that mark. While Grayson and Henry will have cameos in future stories, each book in this series can be read as a standalone.

This progressed similar to the other stories I've read by this author. The MCs are horny for each other 24/7, it's insta-love with weird push/pull where there's some type of danger or miscommunication by the end that leads to the love declaration 🤷🏻‍♀️

Too much inner monologs.

But I enjoyed it, it's simple and easy to follow, and I've been burnt out so it's nice to just sit and relax with something that may be OTT and ridiculous but at least I didn't worry about the MCs even considering being with someone else and honestly I'll gobble up anything that has MCs who are instantly only interested in each other 🤷🏻‍♀️

Grayson and Henry are individually roped into festivities for a wedding, through their respective family members. This story touches on their own prior experiences with partners and putting themselves out there to be vulnerable again.

It’s a friends to lovers and whilst I didn’t get a real sense of the friendship the loving happens pretty quickly from an emotional aspect, without much real sense of time (so I think it seems quicker than it might actually be).

Both characters are quite likeable and while we learn a little about Henry we don’t know as much about Grayson, and I wanted hime to be a little more fleshed out.

A fun read that can be devoured in one sitting. It’s late in a series but you can read all of them as standalones.

Thanks to Book Sirens for the copy.

Grayson is the fourth book in the Jasper Springs series, it can easily be read as a standalone but I recommend all the books anyway. This is a small town, sort of friends to lovers, slow burn, low angst read about Grayson and Henry. This is another great story in the series with wonderful characters and lots of chemistry.

* The Review: An okay read that could have been better with less push pull between the two MCs and more trusting your heart. This is a Henry POV book.
Destination weddings are sliding down in reading enjoyment for me. There is often too much silliness of unknown identities, “I slept with who in the wedding party?!”, or the fake plus one date, or, worst of all, a bridezilla.
This is an MM romance, but Henry’s sisters were part of an MF wedding. They were pushy and intrusive towards their brother and felt they knew what is best for a grown man. They were pretty much unlikeable.
I think I am going to put wedding romances on a do not read list.

3.75stars-GRAYSON is the fourth instalment in Eve Riley’s contemporary, adult JASPER SPRINGS erotic, MM, LGBTQ+ romance series. This is thirty-one year old, bar waiter Henry Markell, and bridal store consultant Grayson Sanderson’s story line. GRAYSON can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

NOTE: GRAYSON is a story line with a same sex couple.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Grayson and Henry) GRAYSON follows the building relationship between our story line couple. Grayson Sanderson’s sister is getting married, and our hero is obligated to participate in the bridal party festivities but Grayson feels like the black sheep of the family, with no prospects for a future with a significant other or children. Meeting waiter Henry Markell stirs something within Grayson Sanderson, something he had been looking for a very long time but Henry is a little reluctant in the face of past betrayal and heart break, and as such time spent together on a weekend getaway for the bridal party meant the possibility of something more. What ensues is the building but ‘secret’ relationship between Henry and Grayson, and the potential fall-out as Henry pushes Grayson out of his life.

The world building focuses on the building relationship, a forced proximity in the face of a shortage of ‘room’ at the inn. Grayson is a bit of a snob, and in this, Henry believes he isn’t worthy but Grayson’s snobbery hides a heart that is looking for love, a heart that is easily scarred by someone he loves.

The relationship between Grayson and Henry begins as friends when Henry rescues Grayson following a night of heavy drinking. Grayson sees something in Henry that Henry doesn’t see himself, and in this, Grayson’s attempts at seduction threatens Henry’s insecurities and the heart break from the past. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and interesting secondary and supporting characters including Grayson’s sister Giselle and her fiancé Aaron, as well as Henry’s sister Mia, and a cameo or two from some of the previous story line characters.

GRAYSON is a story of attraction and need, acceptance and love. The premise is honest and real; the romance is seductive -a lust to love affair- but I struggles to feel the palpable sexual attraction; the characters are sensitive and spirited.

Grayson is another fantastic addition to Eve Rilley’s Jasper Springs series, and as a fan of her small-town romances, I couldn’t wait to dive into this one. Having already enjoyed the characters' cameos in earlier books, I was excited to see them take center stage, especially with a title like Grayson. And honestly, who can say no to a hot, rich, thirty-eight-year-old owner of a wedding boutique?

What made this book special was the tension-filled dynamic between Grayson and Henry, a thirty-year-old bartender with a shattered self-esteem and towering emotional walls. Even though they’ve known of each other through their sisters' friendship, it’s only when they start interacting at a wedding party that sparks fly. The chemistry between them was intense, full of push and pull, and it kept me hooked throughout.

Eve Rilley did an amazing job balancing the emotional journey of both characters. Grayson’s desire for steady relationships contrasted beautifully with Henry’s emotional barriers. Their slow unraveling, healing, and eventual romance felt genuine and was a great depiction of the friends-to-lovers trope.

What I especially loved about Grayson was how Rilley seamlessly wove the supporting characters into the story. The side characters offered advice at just the right moments, helping Grayson and Henry find clarity in themselves—something we all need at times.

The weekend getaway setting with glamping, horse riding, spa days, and a wine festival provided the perfect cozy, romantic backdrop. It’s an easy, relaxing read, ideal for a chilly autumn evening when you just want a heartwarming love story to wrap you up.

Overall, this book hit all the right emotional notes, and I have to say it’s my favorite of the Jasper Springs series so far. Eve Rilley has a way of drawing you into her characters’ lives, making you root for them as they work through their issues. I highly recommend Grayson to anyone who enjoys friends-to-lovers stories with heartfelt emotional journeys.

Super lush
This is the fourth book in the Jasper Springs series and in this book, we learn more about Grayson. Grayson Is a wedding planner with his own boutique His sister is getting married and he is trying his best to be upbeat about it. He’s kind of an enigma. He’s got this flamboyant side he can talk to anyone with ease.
Then we’ve got Henry who is a bartender who doesn’t know what he’s calling is. His sister’s best friends is getting married and decided to let off steam at the bar. And he can’t keep his eyes off Grayson. When he finds him at lock up time in the toilets asleep, he decides that he will take him home. To his house.. when he has Grayson comfortable on the sofa he tries to kiss Henry. Henry has been hurt before and doesn’t want to be a drunken hook up so he backs away. Thinking Grayson won’t even remember. And this is really the start of this intense attraction. Henry and Grayson is a slow Burn. Henry needs to know that he can trust Grayson. And when the wedding party goes glamping Grayson and Henry end up sharing a pot with one king-size bed. Will this end in tears? Or is this the start of something beautiful?
I’ve got to say I thoroughly enjoyed both of these characters. When they danced together my heart melted. When you really got to know Gray and Henry , you could see that these two were so perfect for one another. They just make you sizzle.

4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

The blurb sets the background for this book very well. Grayson and Henry are thrown together as their sisters prepare for Greyson’s sister’s wedding. In the weeks heading up to the wedding, there are many wedding party activities scheduled, and even though Henry is not part of the wedding party, he is included because of his sister. Grayson is being pressured by his family to find a partner and settle down, and the wedding preparations are making him very uncomfortable and a reluctant participant. Henry feels he doesn’t really fit in with this group, and he is very wary of relationships after a devastating break up five years ago. As the two are thrown together, an attraction is there, which the two cautiously begin to explore. But misunderstandings and miscommunication, along with old hurts and insecurities on both sides, threaten their fragile relationship and losing each other unless self-reflection and taking chances are options they are willing to explore.

Realistic characters and situations where insecurities and fears from the past cause problems, and supportive and loving sisters help save the day, getting these two to their HEA. An entertaining read with some great “glamping” world building, easy to read in an afternoon.

Okay, let’s get one thing straight—or, in this case, not so straight: Grayson by Eve Riley is the romance we didn’t know we needed! Far from her previous darker works, this book is a breath of fresh, small-town air with just the right amount of steamy spice.

We’re thrown into the world of Henry Markell and Grayson Sanderson—two friends who are so much more than their polished exteriors let on. In true Riley style, these boys are complex, multi-layered, and way too good at hiding their feelings. Cue the forced proximity trope (thank you, wedding celebrations), and the sparks start flying faster than you can say “wedding bells.”

But don’t be fooled—just because this is a sweet, small-town romance doesn’t mean it’s shy. Grayson comes with a "this ain't for the prudes" warning, and trust me, it delivers on that front with its explicit MM romance scenes. You might blush, you might fan yourself, but you'll definitely be entertained.

What really sets this book apart is Riley’s signature humor and elegance. She’s a master at making her characters relatable while peeling back their layers, fears, and insecurities. It’s heartwarming, sexy, and downright addicting. If you're a fan of MM romance and ready for a wild, emotional ride with just the right balance of heat and heart, Grayson is the book to devour. 100% recommended, and you won't be able to put it down.

Ah I loved this book so much, from start to finish I wanted to hug both Grayson and Henry. The characters are so well written, they've both been hurt in the past and are afraid to let their hearts get caught despite wanting so desperately to be loved. They really are meant to be together and deserve the happiness I know their future holds.

Henry and Grayson's sisters have been best friends since childhood but these two have never spent time together, until one of the sisters is getting married and they're both at the pre wedding weekend in the woods where they have to share a glamping pod and a king sized bed. In the most beautiful setting they connect deeply but it's not smooth sailing yet when they can't remember the night before and one of their ex's shows up.

A brilliant read and I cannot wait to read more from this author!

Sometimes, the mask is hard to take off. Grayson, is almost 40, single. As the eldest, his parents had expectations of him landing a lucrative career, getting married, having a nice house and children. Gray, is gay so expectations may fall under a different timeline. Gray, has always been aware of being out of step with his family. Henry, works in a mediocre bar waiting tables. He already feels he has not met his expectations and feels insecure with his sister's wealthier friends. Henry, and Gray meet during his sister's wedding events. This story is about mixed first impressions, misinterpretations, low self esteem, heavy baggage and removing masks to get to know the real person. Great main characters. Nice support system if a bit interfering, sexy cover art and good story flow. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I’ve absolutely loved every book in the Jasper Springs series! It’s such a refreshing take on small-town romance with very little drama, which is a nice change of pace. The characters are relatable, and the lighthearted moments had me laughing out loud at times.

Henry believed Grayson had it all, but thought he wasn’t worthy of happiness. Watching him struggle with his self-worth broke my heart. But, as with all the books in this series, it ends with a HEA, and you can’t help but feel good about how things turn out.

Each book standalone, so you can dive into any one of them and still enjoy the full experience. I’m definitely looking forward to more from Jasper Springs! If you're looking for something fun, sweet, and heartwarming, this series is a must-read.

This is not the first book in the Jasper Springs series I have read and yet it can stand alone without having read Henry is not part of the wedding party. T of the other parts of the series and does not measure up to the others I have read.

I debated about whether this should be a 3 or 4 but decided it was closer to 3. The two main characters are both bothered by prior events and both are forced by sisters into a wine festival weekend with Grayson's sister's wedding party although Henry is not part of the party/ A mixup in reservations means they have to share a bed in their fancy cabin.

I found the plot contrived and thus felt let down but the author does a good job with character development.

Another delightful outing by Eve Riley features Grayson and Henry. Grayson's sister is getting married, and Henry is the brother of Giselle's best friend. They have met before, but things take off when he is the bridal party's server at a local bar and rescues Grayson from a drunken stupor. They are both somewhat insecure for different reasons, so they dance around each other until forced together on a glamping trip. There is a lot of drunkenness involved. (I can never understand how these people get anything done while drinking that much.) Mild misunderstandings ensue, but no horrible problems and good conversations. We know there will be a happy ending, but it is sweet watching them get there.

Grayson's sister is getting married. He's happy for her but sad that he can't find his own "Prince Charming". Now it's time for pre-wedding activities, everyone is coupled except for Grayson & his sister's BFF's brother Henry. They've met a few times but never got to actually know each other. As the weekend activities begin, Henry & Grayson are forced to pretty much do everything basically as a "couple". Things go fairly well, until they go "glamping". Due to a mix-up in reservations, they are pushed into having to share the same "tent". I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Baggage can be a hard thing to unpack and put to rest. Both men had it and hadn't dealt with it. The angst and pheromones were fairly flying from the start between Gray and Henry. I liked the family support pushing both men together when they saw what each man was blind to. The twist had me anxious and worried, but the ending had me swooning. My only complaints were the two snarky knocks at T.S. It was off putting, but I rose above it. I would advise in future to avoid doing this as it can alienate readers. I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest opinion.

This friends-to-lovers romance felt somewhat lacking in the friendship aspect. The story begins with Henry rescuing Grayson from a drunken night, and their connection deepens as their sisters, who are best friends, push them into attending a wine festival weekend together. Forced proximity at a crowded inn brings their hidden feelings to the surface, shifting their relationship from friendship to something more. Grayson's pursuit of Henry, who battles insecurities and past heartbreak, adds tension to their dynamic. While the plot feels a bit contrived, the characters are both frustrating and endearing. Despite its flaws, the book is an easy and enjoyable read.

Grayson’s sister is getting married. Her best friends brother Henry, is included in the festivities even though he is a bit of an outsider. A glamorous camping trip (glamping) has them sharing a “tent”. Barely friends, it’s not a comfortable situation. However their feelings quickly get involved.

The wedding party as a whole was entertaining. There was an abundance of snark.

I didn’t really feel Grayson and Henry’s connection even though they were likable, maybe even endearing. They each had insecurities which gave the story its angsty aspect.

Jasper Springs as a whole is an intriguing town, full of nice personalities.

I loved Grayson: (Jasper Springs Book 4). Grayson and Henry are forced into awkward situations by their sisters. They are both fighting the attraction for different reasons but the pull is too much when they are forced to share a glamping tent. Grayson makes a big mistake that could cost him Henry for good. Henry is having a hard time getting over the past and takes it out on Grayson. This is a sweet story about fighting for what you want. I loved the characters. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Jasper springs, it is always wonderful to be back in this town. Book 4, Grayon and Henry's story. A story that keeps your attention, the characters are beautifully described and you really sympathize with them. Grayson who gets to know Henry and actually immediately loses his heart. But of course that's not possible, he thinks, love at first sight. And Henry who has been hurt in the past. All this makes it a fascinating and loving story. I enjoyed this story and can't wait to see the other stories. Highly recommended.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this series and whilst the author says they are standalones I would recommend reading the previous books as the characters do pop up so it gives you a better feeling for them. This book follows Grayson and Henry who meet at a wedding that they were roped into helping with. I enjoyed the touching moments as they both are wary of getting involved due to past experiences. A nicely paced relationship development with two lovely main characters made this a thoroughly enjoyable book.

I absolutely love this series by Eve Riley, and Grayson has to be my favorite so far!

I love a good friends to lovers trope, and I love a good slow burn--- this book does both so well!

Grayson is such an interesting character, but I really loved Henry and his knack for self-sabotage and how Grayson continuously persisted in his pursuit to win Henry over.

And the spice in this one...off the charts. This one def has some kinkier moments than the previous books, which I am totally here for!

Absolutely love this series and can't wait to read the next one!

"Grayson" is another wonderful book in the Jasper Springs series. I love Grayson and Henry. They have chemistry right from the start and their story is sweet. The Jasper Springs series has great characters and it is fun to see some of them pop up in the other books. I know to read these books on a weekend since I won't put them down once I start. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Both main characters were frustrating and endearing at the same time. They both had their flaws which made me wonder if they would ever get their act together. Especially Henry (talk about self sabotage!). I appreciated that the story and characters engaged me enough to draw a reaction out of me. For that I would recommend this book.

A 4.5* upgraded to a 5*.

The brothers of best friends, Grayson and Henry are not looking forward to the pre-wedding celebration of Giselle. Bravely they put on their smiling faces and do what they can to make their sisters happy.
Between all the activities they manage to draw closer, but the past catches up with them, throwing a spanner in the works.
A have yet to be disappointed in a book written by Eve Riley.
