The Climax Part 1 and 2:
Rating: 5 Stars

The Climax Parts 1 and 2 are the final installments in Christina George’s three-part romantic series, The Publicist. This review will span both books.

Kate Mitchell has moved on from Morris and Dean. She now runs a rather successful publishing outfit, named in honor of her dear friend, the acclaimed author and late Allan Lavigne. With its first br

Sigh, Kate’s story is now done. I know that there will be more to come from the other characters in this series but Kate’s story is one I wanted, one I waited (sometimes impatiently) for, and one that I could not get enough of.

The Climax is the perfect last part of Kate’s story. There is craziness from authors, discovering the truth of feelings, and of course a lot of Mac and Nick. I have to say that from the very beginning I have been #teamnick. I truly believe that once a cheater always a che

There is a whole lotta book going on with this one! I loved it and it's an excellent ending to the tale of Kate/Mac/Nick - which #Team are you on?

I was completely blown away by this novel! George writes scenes that sizzle just as well as she writes ones that pack an emotional punch. She draws readers so completely into this story that they don’t read it, they live it. The plot twists kept me on my toes throughout, never being able to guess what would come next or how it would end. And that ending was definitely the perfect ending to an absolutely fantastic story. As a reader you really get a sense of what being in New York and the hectic ...more

If you've been following this series, you know that books 1 and 2 set up something of a love triangle for our publicist heroine, Kate Mitchell. On the one hand, we have Nick Lavigne, the nephew of the deceased (and brilliant) writer that Kate championed as a publicist in a larger NYC publishing house. Kate's other love interest is MacDermott Ellis, a prominent and very charismatic(and very married) editor. If you haven't read books 1 and 2, you'll likely want to stop here because this review wil ...more

I had mixed feelings towards the fact that there was a third book. Shelf Life came to a nice close, and I liked that Kate had finally chosen to be with Mac, while he in turn actually grew a pair and ended things with his wife. But alas, Climax quickly reveals that there is trouble brewing in paradise between our engaged couple. Kate is extremely busy with her newly created publishing company, and loves Mac sooo much, but when she bumps into her ex-fiance Nick on the teeming streets of New York s ...more

This was the best ending for a trilogy that I loved from the beginning.

I was a #teamnick fan right from the start of this well written story of publicist Kate Mitchell. The Climax starts pretty much where book 2 finishes. Kate has started her own publishing company with now fiancé Mac Ellis.

Their lives are in full swing with a busy company "Lavigne House" taking off in the publishing world and a wedding that doesn't ever have a permanent date. Kate isn't sure why there is doubt but something ke

Well, I will miss Kate.

You see, I've read and reviewed the first two installments in this series: The Publicist and Shelf Life as well as the audiobook version of The Publicist. I also did an interview with Christina George!

And I know now which 'team' folks should've been on, #TeamMac or #TeamNick, but I'm not telling! I'm not trying to be mean, but this way you get to find out for yourselves!

In the first two books, Kate changed from being a publicist working for a publisher to being the head

There is so much in this amazing finish that I understand why it was divided into parts.

Kate and Mac have both left their former publishing house, M&D, but throughout this book other employees turn up.
Kate uses her severance pay plus money Allan left her as well as his final manuscript to open her own publishing house. Since she named it Lavigne House after Allan, Nick is obviously still a part of the equation, even if he refuses to take any profits due him. Kate still finds herself performi

So here we are. Climax is what it is. The last book in this exciting romance series.

I feel like I’ve come to know these characters well.

Kate. From publicist to publisher and owner of her own publishing house. In love with Mac, who’s married in the first book, and divorced in the second.

Now Kate and Mac are engaged and you’d think the happy ever after is here. But don’t hold your breath.

The first book came in at around 220 pages. The second book at around 270 pages. Climax has a whopping 565 page

Climax: The Publicist, Book Three, is the final book in Christina George's three-part contemporary romance series. The entire series which is centered around the world of publishing, totally wowed me, and the characters will live on in my heart for a very long time. This is a well-written, emotionally charged book, and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to read an awe-inspiring love story.

This is the story of three, Kate Mitchell, Mac Ellis, and Nick Lavigne. About a year ago, Kate was en

I wanted to hate this book but unfortunately I couldn't.

I never really liked the main characters -Kate, Mac and even Nick- and also I was sick and tired of the sex scenes.

The only reason why I kept reading the two previous books was because of the publishing world and the narrative. The author is amazing and I love her shorts but deep chapters and I couldn't help but love the writing style. Also, the story was really well constructed and very unpredictable.

Although I didn't enjoyed the main char

Finally! I really wanted to strangle the main character, Kate Mitchell after the second book. I love all the characters ( especially Andrew and James). Christina George tells their stories and back stories so well. Like everyone in all three books I wanted to be friends with Kate Mitchell too. But her choices and decisions in the second book made me crazy.

I am glad that Andrew convinced ( conned?) her into therapy with Dr Ruth Ann. Yet another amazing and colorful character. A good reminder to u

Wow! Oh, wow! Some may think that the title "Climax" means its going to be a naughty read, and it is to a certain extent, but I think what it really means is the way the story concluded and boy was it a "Climax". The story was intertwined and engaging and caused me to stay up late reading it several nights in a row.

Kate's doubts about marrying Mac and setting a date were pretty clear that she still had feelings for Nick or doubts about Mac. I am so glad that Nick went to Mexico to find Kate when

When we last saw Kate Mitchell, she had dumped fiancé Nick, returned to New York from California, opened up a publishing house, and reunited with ex-lover Mac, who had (finally) divorced his wife.

Kate has been accustomed to coming in second. She's allowed herself to be put in that position, whether professionally or personally. Her clients boss her around and make occasionally irrational expectations of her, her co-workers - and now employees - do the same, and the man she believes is her destin

The Climax
is the third book in the Christina George-penned The Publicist series and wraps up book publicist Katherine "Kate" Mitchell's story. This picks up some time after the events of book two, Shelf Life, and we find that while the "happily" part is still in effect, the "ever after" seems to be in limbo. While everyone appears to have moved on, readers will find out that that's not neces

Again, needs better editing. Too many typos.

I have read the two previous books and felt they were pretty interesting. I love the strength behind Kate's character. She has a lot to her that she doesn't necessarily see or feel. Going through a love triangle could put you in that kind of unsure head space I usually don’t care too much for love triangles to be very honest, but this one was a bit different. It’s kind of frustrating because one moment you want to root for Team Nick but later on root for Team Mac. Some might argue that you could ...more

Is there love in publicity?

This is the question Climax: Book Three of The Publicist seems to ask.
Or, a slew of questions: Can a publicist love another? Can a publicist love herself? And, is she loved by her authors?

By far, this book is the best of The Publicist series. It’s a long, long book. I was surprised by the length, but I was not displeased. There was a lot of story in this book and a lot of character growth. It made sense that this book was long, and there is no place in the middle of t
This series built up gradually for me, a bit slower than I would have liked in book one, but half way through book two, the story grabbed my attention and I became fully invested in where this series was going. I couldn't wait to start Book Three and so began a late night/ early morning read of Climax.

Book Three, Climax, is the conclusion to Kate's story, the time when she makes the tough decisions, the time when she fully comes into her own. The growth we see across the series is one of my fav

Review: Climax

(spoiler alert)

Kate Mitchell has it all. A job she loves as head of a successful publishing house, engaged to a gorgeous man she’s crazy about, and a future she’s certain of. Mostly. Until a chance encounter with her ex-fiance’, the man whose heart she broke, starts the sand spilling from beneath her. This unlikely meeting is the beginning of a fall into emotions Kate thought she was through with. Guilt, grief…love. And that chance meeting had a spiraling effect with repercussions

Oh… what to say about this book without giving it all away??? Christina George knows how to tell a tale that keeps you flip flip flipping pages. My emotions were just riding her roller coaster. I said it my review of Shelf Life that that book ended in a spot that the story could have been “done”… but this book just blew it all out of the water. But I’m not telling you if Kate ends up with Mac… or with Nick… or alone. Nope. Not telling.

This book broke my heart in so many different ways. It broke

Christina George in her new book, “Climax” Book Three in The Publicist series published by Christina George continues the story of Kate Mitchell.

From the back cover: Kate Mitchell has never forgiven herself for breaking Nick Lavigne’s heart. Now he’s back and he’s moved on, and it’s affecting Kate’s life more than she’s willing to admit.

The third book of The Publicist series will have you chomping at the bit and craving to find out what happens next! As I have not read the first two books in this series, the author makes it so easy to pick up and not feel lost at all. The history with Kate and Nick is so compelling and sad at the same time, especially in the beginning of this book when they first bump in to each other. I find this book and story line to be a true to life example and I think that is why it is so compelling, the ...more
