This book is a bit out of date and covers more than Georgia. I was more interested in Atlanta but does not have enough information on hotel choices and restaurant reviews, and seems to be missing some key features of Atlanta. With that I was still able to learn about what to see around MLK’s birthplace and some other sites to see if I have extra time for site seeing.

The perfect guide to Georgia and the Carolinas! Literally everything I could possibly want from a travel guide. Lonely Planet loves storytelling and sharing culture, and the Storybook section at the end is a perfect example of that.

Read most of the book, but the tips for Savannah for Families was amazing. My kids had the best time. Some time soon I want to go back to Savannah for a grownups only trip!
