Your inner strength, your desire, is just like the body - like a muscle. If it is used repeatedly and appropriately, it becomes stronger.

This is such an amazingly well-written and informative book! It reads like a novel, (well, almost!) yet it is full of vital information every woman needs to know about how to have strong bones for a lifetime (and avoid osteoporosis a few decades from now!)However, I don't agree with the author's view of yoga; I believe yoga is wrong for any Christian to participate in- but that's another topic.

Did you know that about 90% of your body's calcium is stored before the age of 20? We are at the prime bone-building part of our lives!

This was an interesting book with a lot of useful information. It was very comprehensive, and the author definitely knows what he's talking about. The only thing I didn't like was how it was structured into 6 weeks and how they laid out your 'homework', which I just ignored. Also a bit too many "case studies" of people who had/have osteoporosis. But overall, a very useful book, and well-written.

Have been reading various books on bone density and osteoporosis lately. This book, thus far is the best. I like how the author presents the different therapies, HRT, the natural approach with foods and natural hormones. She provides info on bone building drugs. I realize I must choose one of these directions to go in, and I like how this author covers them all. Informative. Exercises, menu's. It's all here.
