Fallon Brown’s well-written and thoughtful DUTY TO PROTECT falls right into the romantic suspense genre. As our hero Garren, a police officer, enjoys a family picnic, he can’t help worrying about Connie, his missing sister – who, in fact, doesn’t return from a camping trip with her fiancé. The plot thickens when dead bodies, seemingly unconnected, begin to pile up, and Garren is attracted to Lisa, his sister’s roommate.
