A Fighter's Desire contains two prequel novellas to introduce the main characters in the series. IT IS ONLY TO INTRODUCE THEM. They're happily ever after's will come, but it doesn't happen in this book. (Fair warning) Each fighter will have his own book where their stories will continue and end to that HEA everyone wants.

Part One: Ryley and Camden Jameson, well-known MMA fighters and identical twins, were just as aggressive and passionate in the bed as they were in the ring. They loved a good fight, and that’s exactly what they got when they met Ashleigh Warren. The brothers had a habit of sharing things—including women—and she happened to be the only one they truly craved. However, the problem was getting her to agree to their proposition. It was one she couldn’t refuse, but she knew it wouldn’t be easy to win. Nonetheless, she sure as hell was going to enjoy it.

Part Two: Fighting temptation isn’t easy when you’re constantly around the one person you’ve desired more than any other. Gabriella Reynolds was warned by her brother, MMA Heavyweight Champion Matt Reynolds, to stay away from his friends; they only wanted one thing, and in the end they’d break her heart. She heard it, but the desire to have the one man she couldn’t led her down the forbidden path to pursue him; he also happens to be one of her brother’s best friends. Tyler Rushing can’t deny his attraction to her, and he’s afraid she’ll want more than what he can give her. When he finds out that’s not the case … everything changes. They have no choice but to keep their time a secret, and it’s a secret that’ll stay with them forever.

This book contains two stories in one. Part one is the story of Ashleigh+Ryley+Camden. Part two is Gabriella+Tyler's story. This book doesn't have HEA. That will come later with each of Tyler, Ryley and Camden's books.

I wasn't too crazy about the first story but I loved the second. Tyler's story is intriguing and knowing what I know now after reading this book, I cannot wait to read his book Tyler's Undoing. What I appreciate about this book was that it sets up each of the the fighter's story perfectly. I am even more intrigued to find out the rest.

A Fighter's Desire is an introduction of the main characters in the 'Gloves off' series.
We have 2 stories. 3 MMA hotties in one novel. GIVE ME!



In part 1 we meet the twins, Ryley and Camden Jameson . They're hot, MMA fighters and identical twins . Then we meet Ashleigh , a sweet, beautiful girl who is up for a big challenge.



Do I need to say more?
This part of the book was HOT!



I loved that it had twists and turns. I was expecting one thing to happen and then BAM! nope, something else was happening instead.
I can't wait to continue this and see how their story unfolds.



In part 2 we have Gabriella Reynolds . Her brother, MMA Heavyweight Champion Matt Reynolds, has forbidden her to get involved with his friends, cause she'll end up hurt. But of course she doesn't listen.
There comes Tyler Rushing . He's crazy attracted to her but is scared that she wants more than he's willing to give. But what if they both want the same thing?



This one had more romance in it. The sex scenes were hot! I loved Gabriella's character and Tyler was just oh my god.

Overall I really enjoyed this. It was a great introduction to the characters. It made you want to find out what happens to them.
If you like MMA figter books I would definetely reccomend you to read this one, even though one of the endings will leave you extremely frustrated ;)

I have to say that I have NEVER been so confused and frustrated after reading a book! My first thoughts at the end of Part 1 and Part 2 were an instant WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?!?!? Lol I am going to write this with as few spoilers as possible...not easy I swear! The easiest way to explain it is to say that this is DEFINITELY not your typical run of the mill romance!

Let's start with Part 1:

Ash, Camden, and Ryley's story was epic and HOT, HOT, HOT! It had me drooling, panting and begging for more! I have read A TON of romance novels...and because of this I have a certain expectation...and that is that it ends with a damn HEA...a happily ever after! That being said...this book definitely fits into the romance genre...but we just don't get that needed HEA in this story...or the next one for that matter...but I don't want to get ahead of myself here.

When I first read the blurb for this book I just KNEW that I had to read it! I mean come on...hot MMA fighters...TWINS (hehe I always think Twins, Basil...TWINS!) and the possibility of every girls fantasy coming true in book form! What's not to love! I was very curious how L.P was going to handle the romance side of things...you don't often run across a three way romance! Sadly...I was a little disappointed in this one :( simply because things didn't go the way I expected them to. I don't want to ruin anything for anyone...just know that this book is FILLED to the brim with twists and turns that you don't expect. I kept thinking..."yep, I know what's coming.." and then *BAM* *SMACK* I was totally wrong!

Don't get me wrong, there was romance...I was amazed by the behavior of one brother while baffled by the behavior of the other! I was all ready for some hot and heavy twin action...dang it!

Camden is a douche! I hope that he comes out of it and shows that he is a better man later in this series...but at the moment I just don't care for him one little bit!

Maybe part of my issues with the book are that because it was broken in to two parts and focuses on two different relationships it felt short and a bit rushed at times. The story line ROCKED and the romance had such potential! Even once I got over my disappointment from things I'm not going to speak of, I was still hopeful that the romance would bloom and grow into something that gave me that HEA. It just didn't happen :(

Part 1 ends in a way that freaking BLEW MY MIND! What romance novel ends that way?!? It literally broke my heart reading this and knowing what it was going to do to those involved. I am still rather angry about this...I had some thoughts while reading Part 2 that involve Ash and Ryley and part of me still thinks I'm right...but who knows...with this book series apparently you can't make any assumptions based on what you would typically see in a romance novel.

I felt like just when this book was really getting good and I was totally attached to the characters *WHAM* it's over! I really wish Ash and Ryley's story was 300+ pages...but it isn't. Moving on...

So what about Part 2?

Okay...this one...well I was very excited to start this part...I just KNEW that Ash and Ryley were going to play a big part and something would change. I also had already grown very attached to Gabby and was ready to read her story and see her be happy.

The story picks up about a month after Part 1, so not a lot of time has passed. I was happy to get a better idea of who Gabby is and a better feel of Tyler as well. The way this part starts is seriously sexy and let's just say that we get quite an eye full of who Tyler is and who he wants to be!

The romance in Part 2 is a bit more focused than in Part 1...but we still had a bit of a triangle going on with Bradley thrown into the mix. At least Gabby is upfront and honest with both guys about what she is looking for with each of them...even if they aren't too happy to hear it. The sex is hot, the banter is hilarious and the storyline kept me wanting more.

Again, it's hard to tell you a ton about my reactions to the story without giving away the twists and turns...so I won't! Just know that it gets interesting!

As with Part 1...it just freaking ends! After all of the angst, the sexual tension, the thoughts of caring and more, the possibilities that are hinted at...I thought I was going to scream! Again...there is NO HEA...there is a hint of feelings and then it's just over!

Overall....

All I can say is that I am baffled! I loved it...I hated it...I screamed at it! Hehe I haven't been this emotional over a book in a long, long time! Seriously...you cannot make me wait until October for the next one...and please, please tell me someone gets a proper Happily Ever After at some point?!?

I am dying for the next book, so in a way L.P. totally wrote a winner! It's realistic and shows what I would expect to be the grittier/rougher side of an MMA fighter's life. The romance was sweet, sexy, steamy and amazing...and then just came up short for me. I wanted more! I wanted that dang HEA and I hope that I still get the chance to see it! The characters are deep, well developed, and over all likable. I grew attached to them rather quickly and LOVED that the story is written from not one, not two, not even three but FIVE points of view! While you would think that this would make things confusing to follow it wasn't. I adored it and it made me feel even more a part of the story.

For a book that left me red in the face with anger and angst...I can't believe I'm saying this...I LOVED IT AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

Where do I even start...how about with - OMG, WTH, WTF, OMFG and what the flip!! Sometimes a book comes along that at the start, it seems like a regular book. Oh you’ll think you’ve got his one all figured out. Some drama, some romance, some super-charged, out-of-this-world sexy men, a lil MMA fighting. Sounds amazing right? L.P. Dover has truly shown her brilliance with this book, one second its a calm story - and then next WHAMMO! She hits us with a mind-fuck. And she does it not once, but twice.

This book was so unique - it is two stories combined in one. We the reader are sent careening from one straight into the next without a moment to catch a breath in between. In book one, we meet the twins. Identical twins. Identical male, HOT twins. Identical male, hot, MMA FIGHTER twins….need I say more? Rylee and Camden were the very definition of deliciously wicked, hot as sin bad boys. They came out swinging and hit me with an uppercut of lust. Putting me in a chokehold and not letting me go. They loved their lifestyle of fast women, brutal fights and being the best of the best. Nothing and no one was going to change their ways…

Ashleigh is the type of girl that likes to study and work hard first, and save any extra curricular activities for later. Beautiful, snarky, sweet and fun - she is more than up to the challenge when the twins set their sights on her as their next conquest. Being a female with eyeballs, of course she’s interested in a mindless night of passion...but being another notch on their belts? Not really her style. The tale of these three will excite you and shock you and until the very last word - leave you panting for more.

Book two. Ashleigh’s best friend Gabriella...being the little sister of an MMA fighter, she has grown up around the ring. With her overprotective brother forbidding her to get involved with anyone from the fighting world and warning off any guy that showed interest - she does what any normal girl would do. She doesn’t listen. She has Tyler locked in her sight and nothing is going to stop her from having a chance with him - fighter or not. I loved her character, she was a surprise! In the first book I didn’t notice her strength much, but she totally redeems herself and proves what a tough cookie she is in the 2nd.

These two stories intertwine not only with characters and timelines, but they also offer the opportunity to glimpse what the other key players in this book are feeling. I really enjoyed that aspect and thought it only enhanced the idea behind this book.

Keeping this review a bit shorter out of respect for the author’s request to have spoiler-free reviews, I’m only going to say this. I loved it, it surprised me and kept me guessing. A definite read for you if you are a fan of MMA books ;)

A Fighter's Desire contains two prequel novellas to INTRODUCE the main characters to you. IT IS NOT THEIR FULL STORIES. I wanted everyone to see what they were like before I wrote their MAIN books. I didn't want to separate the stories so that's why I put them in one novel.

In Part 1, I know a lot might get angry with the way I ended it, but it's only the beginning. There are no HEA's in this book, but there's more to it than what it ends with. The story is not over for Ryley and Ashleigh. When I release Tyler's Undoing in October you will find out real quick what happened to Ashleigh after that certain episode in Part 2. Things really changed behind the scenes and you find out firsthand at the beginning of Tyler's Undoing. I'm only telling you this because I know a lot of you are pissed with how I ended Part 1. There was so much more to Ryley and Ashleigh's story that I couldn't put it all in one book ... it wouldn't have been possible. Ryley's Revenge will be out in December and all will be well. He will get what he's looking for.

In Part 2 ... let's just leave it as "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."

A Fighter’s Desire was a steamy treat that author L.A. Dover delivers filled with sensual and erotic promise that pack heat and a punch!

It has everything from hot and dirty alpha males, steam, passion, temptation, grittiness, and even action!

I particularly enjoyed read because it was a prime example of unexpected turns and situations, or should I say a series of “trysts”, that unexpectedly lead to the possibility of MORE.

What will become of them? Our hotties' fighting careers? Will secrets and external factors tear them apart? Are they meant to be? And when the power of choice rears it's head, what will our couples choose? Read and you will find out!

#A lovely introduction to the Gloves Off Series!! I didn't particularly love the ending to one of the stories, but then again, not everything can go as you expect. I can't wait for more from this author and this series!

So both these book cliff off at a big moment. Just FYI

I don't feel that any of these characters were working on building anything. It was just a big ol' ball of smex and one night stands (or implied one night stands).

Other than that, I thought the first story had no real connection for the two main characters (or 3 if you count Camden) The blurb made it seem like it was going to be a m/f/m relationship. It's not. One of the twins (Camden) is crazy jealous and goes weirdo. It seemed so out of character for him. Plus, after having agreed to being with them both, then sleeping with one of them, it turns out the h has been in love with OM?? The author wrote the OM like he was in love with her, but I didn't catch her attraction at all.
So she leaves them both (well really only 1 since the other is cray at the moment) to go be with her true love. End book.

Same kinda story with the 2nd one, except it's her OTT brother's BFF. Just a relationship that's not a relationship.

Both stories felt very non committed and lonely. I didn't like them at all.

Smex was hot though, and they were fighters. 2 stars for that.

IMO - I don't recommend this book. At least not until the 2nd comes out. Maybe it'll all make more sense then.

Love this series

I can't believe I waited to read this series. This is my first book that I am reading from L.P and it won't be the last. I love the characters, Ryley and Camden and Ashleigh and Tyler and Gabby. Every character I liked maybe besides Camden but I have a feeling that is not who he is. I can't wait to read the next book

The author does the fantastic job of setting up this series in these 2 prequels of the GLOVES OFF Series.
These 2 novellas serve as an introduction course to the world of SEXY MMA Fighters and the women who SHOULD belong to them. These stories are filled with sex and commitment-phones.


A Fighter's Desire - Part One (Gloves Off Book 1)
This was a favorite of the 2 novellas for me. The story starts off with 2 bad boy fighters who love a good time especially if it involves a TWIN tag team. Looking for their next good time the The Terror Twins, Ryley and Camden Jameson, stumble upon a feisty Ashleigh who just doesn't want to do anything with then... but come on who can refuse a no strings attached fun ESPECIALLY when you make 2 hot guys drool over you and chase you.

 

My heart pounded and my clit tightened in anticipation, ready to feel what it would be like to be the object of a fighter’s desire.

That is exactly what Ashleigh does to the 2 fighters. This story works hard at being nonchalant hook-up but the too-much-chemistry factor muddles in and brings over 'feelings' to the party. Ashleigh start developing feelings for one of the fighters and he for her... Which one? hmmm well you just read and see. The ending totally floored me and made me scream at my kindle really loud because WTF... not a cliffhanger it's simply a not a happy ending.

A Fighter's Desire - Part Two (Gloves Off Book 2)
Second novella picks up shortly after the ending of Part 1 but the story focuses on Terror Twins's & Ashleigh's friend Gabriella Reynolds. Full time student, Part time MMA trainee, full time horny woman!



She has a HUGE problem in the form of overprotective Heavyweight champion brother. Fighting (literally too) to break through the restrictions that her brother set that put her on no-go list for all the fighters in the MMA world she decides to play reckless by pursuing her crush, MMA Heavyweight Champion Matt Reynolds, for some good time.

 

“I’m not like this, Gabriella. This is only for you. After you leave tomorrow I’m going right back to the way I was. The world isn’t going to stop for us. You and I both know that you deserve something better.”

I have enjoyed their story & it was MUCH hotter than the Part One novella. It set things up nicely for their story and didn't end with such TOO much drama... perhaps I was prepared after how the Part One ended? I wasn't that HEART-BROKEN... I managed.

 

As a whole I MORE than prepared for this series. It had just enough variety and interesting twists. Come on! Hot sweaty men, testosterone,  secret trysts, angst, kick-ass women, and PERHAPS my favorite plot line. If you know ME... you know what it is.... *HINT* its a thing you wait 9 months to come... *evil grin*

Gabriella & Ashleigh are two roommates who are looking for some fun.
When paths cross & introductions are met will their hearts come out on the other side intact???

Part 1: OMG Holy twin terror, Riley & Camden are unstoppable in the ring but what about outside of it?? Both are wild play boys of the year and LUV to share woman, however completely different besides their sexy twinness!
Both lay eyes on Ashleigh, wanting to share her....when things don't go according to plan only one twin gets her.
Riley & her develop a special kind of relationship. Until decisions are made and hearts break:(
Their story pretty much broke me & I cried, feeling so heartbroken over Riley:(

Part 2: Continues on but focuses on Gabriela & Tyler. The sexual tension between these two are HOT!!
"Always want what we can't have" Gabriella knows this saying all too well!
Her brother Matt, MMA Heavyweight Champion is always warning her to stay away from his MMA friends, knowing what their party of a lifestyle is all about.
When she has a chance to fly to Vegas for the weekend she's determined to make her wish come true with Tyler.
She will stop at nothing to finally get him where she's wanted, but at what expense??
I LUV how her novels are standalones but can be read as an ongoing series, with all the same characters being incorporated into them.

Unfortunately nothing about this grabbed me and the writing style didn't agree with me. I won't say more as I didn't get very far. Perhaps it gets better, but I couldn't force myself to continue since it didn't work for me from the beginning. Obviously this just wasn't my cuppa.

A Fighters Desire is the prologue to the Gloves Off Series. Once reading into the first one I am glad that I read these novellas to get an idea of the characters.

I was really excited when I found out about this book! Some of the characters appear in this author's other contemporary series and I was really excited that they were getting their own book! Well, sort of lol! This book was split into two parts and the first half was about hot twins that briefly appear in the Second Chances series! Their story was about their relationship with a girl that they both had feelings for! I have to be honest and say that I was expecting these characters story to go in a completely different direction to what it did, but I enjoyed how brief it was, and even though it didn't end the way I wanted it too, I could see that it was best for the characters! The second half of this book was about a different couple who appear in the first half, but only as secondary characters! I loved these characters story! It developed really well and although it had a pretty sad ending, it leaves the next book open for a lot to happen! I've never read a book that's been written like this one, but I did really enjoy it and I'd definitely read a book like this again! The characters were amazing! Ashleigh was the main female character of the first half of this book and she was such a normal, every day person! I really liked her! I did feel sorry for her though because she was so confused about her feelings and everything! She handled it all really well though and I loved that she chose carefully who she really wanted to have a relationship with! Ryley and Camden were the main male characters of the first half of this book and they were so freaking hot! And there were two of them lol! Camden and Ryley were twins and were so similar to each other, but so different! Camden sort of had a stick up his ass, but I could understand why, and Ryley was a complete sweetheart! Both guys liked the same sort of things though and had the same taste in women! Gabriella was the main female character of the second half of this book, and like Ashleigh, she was such a normal, everyday person! Gabriella was Ashleigh's close friend and I have to say that Gabriella had a bit of a devilish side to her! She did something to prove this to me in this book! I have to say that I loved her realisation in this book as well! She knew what she wanted, so all she had to do was get it! Tyler was the main male character of the second half of this book and he was such a hottie! I could see his protective side come out in this book and that told me a lot about him! Tyler's character really intrigued me as he wasn't in this book a lot, but he always made an impression when he was! I can't wait to find out more about him in the next book in this series, especially since it's going to focus on him! I loved that the first half of this book was written from Ashleigh, Ryley and Camden's point of views and that the second half was written from Gabriella and Tyler's point of views! It really helped me connect with all the characters more! I can't wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it's going to be Tyler's story and I'm excited so read it and find out where his story is going to go! The cover for this book is so hot! It suits it perfectly too! Big thank you to L.P. Ding...Ding...Ding!!!!! Knock out!!!!! That's what L.P. Dover this with story. It was fan-freaking-tastic!!!! Her books get better and better. I am always very excited to get my hands on one of her books. The story was written beautifully and well thought out. I felt as if I was a part of the story. I would trade places with these females in a heartbeat just to have these MMA fighters as friends. I have met them in other books, but when they get a book of their own, I really feel for them. I have come to care about these characters and what happens to them. I loved how the story switched POVs. It was nice to get inside each of their heads and see what they were thinking, especially the MMA fighters.

Part One

Double Trouble and oh boy that is a fact. But who couldn't love the twins. Ryley and Camden share everything, including women. When Ashleigh stepped into the picture, they both wanted her. She tried to fight past her desires, but being with the twins at the same time, was a moment no one could pass up, not even her. Camden turned out to be a real piece of work though. I felt sorry for him, because he keeps everything hidden and has so many regrets. He has so much anger in him because of that. Ryley is a sweet guy. He tried to show Ashleigh that she was more than just a one night stand. Deep down, I think he really started to care for her. I love both Ryley and Camden. I hope they both get their acts together and find the one woman that will tame them both.

Part Two

This story focuses on Gabriella and Tyler. Gabriella is Matt's brother, and he warned all the MMA fighters to stay away from her. They are all afraid of him so of course they do. Matt is very protective of his sister and I love that about him. Tyler has changed in this story. We all knew him as a real nice guy, but all that fame got to his head, and now he is like Ryley and Camden. Not into commitments. They want to keep having their fun. I am really hoping Tyler goes back to his old self, because these two really seem to care about each other. I also want to point out how I love that we finally get to see Gabriella fighting!!!! Finally, a woman that kicks some butt in the ring!!!!! There was a scare between Ashleigh, Ryley and Colin in this book. Everything supposedly turned out fine with it, but to me something still seems off. I kinda hope that the scare comes true!!!

A Fighter's Desire was a fantastic book that had me hooked from beginning to end. Each part left off with a cliffhanger that definitely left me wanting more. My only complaint, if you want to call it a complaint, is that I wish it wasn't in two parts. I love how L.P. gave each main character their own book. I wanted more of Ashleigh and the twins, and Gabriella and Tyler. I know I'll get more in the next book, but I wanted more now!!!! So that is a compliment as well!!!! This is a book that I highly recommend!!!! Everyone should read it!!! I know I will reread it in the near future!!!

Okay, so here's the deal, this book is frackin HOT!! The way I thought it was going with Ryley, totally didn't happen. I was silently rooting for him though. Such a shame! However, I do understand where Ashleigh is coming from. Hey, she got to have her fun too!!

I'm not usually into the fighter scene because of the whole cauliflower ear thing, but my goodness does she make them sound soooo sexy!!!
Who wouldn't mind to have a piece of that hardness? YUM!!

Ashleigh is wanted by both Ryley and Camden. Twins at that.

Okay back to the review:
UGH wait!! I can't really give one without giving the story away!! However I will tell you this:
Part One is funny well what happens to Camden is funny to me because he deserved it.
I was rooting for Ashleigh and Ryley and a part of me wishes for it to be true. Reign that bad boy in! I am hoping to read more about the characters in Part One because they were fun as hell!! I loved them!

Part Two:
Is more centered around Gabrielle who you may remember is Matt's little sister.
Little she is no more! She has grown up to be quite a beautiful rocking lady.
She's been warned to stay away from those MMA fighters. Why? Well you know why. They are men! Men are pigs. Matt being who is, or was, understands this and firmly tells her to stay away.

Now if only she didn't already have the hots for one, Tyler Rushing.
She is going to get what she wants.
She has some pretty good ideas for doing that, with the help of Ryley.

Oh she gets into a couple of binds, but nothing she can't take care of herself. She's a strong woman that's for sure! I can't wait to read her next adventure either. Especially her nemesis.

Definitely recommend this story if you like a little sex, fighting, laughter, and an all around good time.
If this was a web series.
I wish because that would be epic!

This two part book concentrates on a pair of college girls and their desires to be important, even if only briefly, to fighters who are playboys. It is an interesting take on no commitment sex, from both the women's and the men's points of view. Things do not go smoothly, but there is a lot learned along the way. The guys are as hot as they come and they know how to party, and how to have maximum fun, so be prepared for some hot scenes. And at least one will surely make you laugh.

Clearly there are more books to come, and I can't wait to see how things get resolved, because certainly right now everything is up in the air !

Oh boy *fans face*. This was one sexy read. Full of characters you will love, hate, and love to hate. I like the two distinct companion stories that were connected because of their characters. I definitely appreciated all the characters -- attitudes, predilections, and all -- and want to see them get their happily ever afters -- especially Bradley, bless his heart, even Camden, said through gritted teeth. Make no mistake ladies, the guys in these stories are rough and crude and will make your throat punching hand twitchy but you'll love them and the sassy women in their lives.

My only complaint is that the stories were way too short and I wanted more. The endings...kinda cliffy-ish. But Tyler's story comes out in October so I guess I can wait patiently. Maybe. :)

L.P. Dover has once again delivered a knock out of a book! She certainly understands what her fighter's want and how they are going to get it. A Fighter's Desire is two (TWO!!!) stories that are steamy, appealing, and will have you looking for a fighter of your own. Ms. Dover certainly knew her way around the ring when writing this awesome book. She gives you characters that you will fall in love with and will leave you wanting more! Get wrapped up with the twins, Ryley and Camden in Part One and then Tyler brings you even more hot action in Part Two.
If you are looking for a hot new read, this is definitely the book for you! Grab a copy today!

I have so many emotions regarding this novel – most of them anger, but in a good way and completely directed toward LP for what she’s put me through and making me wait for more. This novel has everything I wanted and done is such a fashion that I’m invested in now two characters, but five with a few more on the side. What LP did here is give us two short stories, which for some is a turn off. However, these shorts are intertwined and only told from four points of view. Two in each half – utterly brilliant! I was so invested in all the characters that I didn’t want either story to end. I’ll definitely be clicking on release day for the next book!

En primer lugar están los gemelos Riley y Camden, que tienen por costumbre compartir las mujeres. Si no eres de su agrado enseguida te dan una patada en el culo y pasan a la siguiente. Hasta que Asleigh se cruza en su camino. Asleigh es la compañera de piso de Gabriella, hermana de otro famoso luchador y amiga de Riley. Ella no está dispuesta a ser otro marca en el cabecero de sus camas así que cuando ambos intentan algo con ella, ella los rechaza, cosa que al parecer nunca les había pasado, lo que la convierte en todo un reto para ellos. Así que deciden cambiar un poco las normas del juego. Si ella acepta pasará una noche con cada uno de ellos, y si quiere la tercera puede pasarla con ambos. Ella acepta pero las cosas no acaban como ninguno de ellos piensa.
En cuanto a Gabriella, lleva un mes pensando en Tyler, otro luchador con el que se enrolla en una fiesta en la casa de Riley, pero como él vive en Las Vegas y ella en California la cosa no va más allá. Hasta que ella, Bradley, Colin y Ashleigh viajan a Las Vegas por el campeonato de béisbol. Allí le pide ayuda a Riley para poder pasar tiempo a solas con Tyler( que todavía es más mujeriego que los gemelos y mira que es difícil). Pero cuando ya tiene lo que quiere se da cuenta de que para el solo será una más y que al final será su corazón el que acabe destrozado.
Me muero de curiosidad como seguirá la historia para Asleigh, Gabriella, Tyler y los gemelos.

I started this book really hoping for a great read. I saw the series and thought that if I liked this one I had a heap of books to get through and that excited me.
Then... I read the first book.... and my excitement was shattered...
I had to force myself to finish this book, because I hate leaving a book unfinished. It fell flat! So so flat! I don’t know if it was the story, the characters or the style of writing by the author, but everything about it was cringe worthy.
Ryley was 🙊 Ashleigh was 🙈 and don’t even get me started on Camden 🙉...
The characters were really hard to get to know and I found myself drifting from the story and reminding myself I was reading! I was wanting it to be over so I could find another series to enjoy.
The pace of the book was wrong and I know that it was only an introduction to the rest of the series but if this is what you have to look forward to then it really didn’t make me want to read more.
The only redeeming bit for this story was the way Ashleigh left Camden tied up to the bed. He deserved that. Annnnddddd that was all...

Part #1

Part one focuses on the Jameson twins, a force to be reckoned with in the ring and out of it. They are two identical yet completely different men. Ryley and Camden have been through a lot in life and their reactions to the past have helped to mold who they are today. They both do love a challenge and that is exactly what Ashleigh is. Ashleigh is Gabriella's best friend and when she goes to a fight with Gabby, she gets a bit more than she has bargained for. The Jameson twins are known for their sexual exploits and the woman line up around the block for a chance at one night with them. When Ryley sets his sights on Ashleigh and approaches her, he is shot down immediately. When Camden approaches her later, he is shot down as well. This confounds the twins and they decide to step up their game and make a wager with Ashleigh. Yet when emotions get involved in any capacity in a situation like this, it is bound to get messy. Where Camden is a total jerk, Ryley is sweet and thoughtful. Their differences and personalities come out in full force and Ashleigh must choose what she wants and who she wants it with.

This first novella is hot! Ashleigh is not short of suitors and she must make a decision as to who and what she wants. She is in love with someone that she cannot have and decides to take matters into her own hands. She is an intelligent girl, a Marine Biology major, yet she is not so wise in the ways of emotion and love. When she enters into the Jameson twin's agreement, she understands that things could get dicey, but when it all first begins, she has no idea what is going to happen and where it will all lead. She may be book smart, but that girl was not mentally connected or well versed with some of the issues at hand. Her street smarts needed some developing.

Ryley and Camden appear to be identical in almost every way but as Ashleigh interacts with them, we see that their looks and chosen career are the only things that are the same. Their personalities and tendencies are completely different and come out into full force in this story. Camden expects the world, and by extension, Ashleigh to fall at his feet, and anything else resembling effort is a waste of his time. Ryley may have at one time functioned that way, but his sweet side is displayed here. He woos Ashleigh and they take a leap. When things go South, emotions are muddled and hearts are hurt. I cannot wait to read Ryley's Revenge and see what happens in the end.

This first part was hot and sweet and emotional. It was an up and down affair and at times I wanted to take Ashleigh aside and talk some sense into her! The connection between Ryley and Ashleigh is one that had potential and a spark to consume. LP Dover introduces some incredible characters, giving us just a glimpse. I am excited to see where their stories take them.

Part #2

In the second part, we see the flowing continuation in time but our perspectives switch to focus on Gabriella. Gabby has been in the fighting world for a long time. Her brother is the man on the pedestal in the fighting world and as a result, none of the other fighter's will touch her, leaving her frustrated. She has had a growing crush on Tyler, a fellow fighter in her brother's inner circle, yet their interactions are stifled and the spark is dulled due to the situation at hand. All they need is the perfect opportunity to let the spark catch for a perfect moment, even if it is just for one night. No one is thinking forever, but just for now!

When Tyler and Gabby decide to try and see where this all leads, Tyler offers her a weekend in Vegas with no strings attached. They decide to take a secret leap and see what is brewing. Yet Gabby knows that there could be more, a connection. She likes Tyler, maybe not true love, but doesn't want this to ruin anything. She knows of his past and doesn't just want to be another one of his conquests. When the moment finally comes, their chemistry and spark explodes. They enjoy their weekend, never knowing where things would lead.

I read Tyler's story (Tyler's Undoing) first and going back to see where his relationship with Gabby developed was interesting. I feel like their relationship was one of curiosity. They had been friends for a while and Gabby wanted to see where the spark lead. I think that LP Dover did a great job of showing that there was something there that was physical and chemical, without all the messy emotions involved. They both cared for each other, but a lasting relationship would never work, something that they both agreed on up front. Their chemistry was hot and their fling was memorable for them both.

I loved seeing a bit more development for who Gabby is. In this novella, we see her own personal passion come out for the ring. Obviously she loves the MMA world and the friends she has made, but seeing her step into the ring and take control was awesome. I loved seeing her show the world her strength in the ring and surprise her friends in the process. Her association with the MMA world has always been a strain on her friendship with other back in college, but she decides to be true to herself and embrace her passion. I loved that about Gabby. No matter what, she stuck to her guns and embraced the world as she knew it. She learned to never apologize for who she was and what she wanted. This short story allowed for the reader to see her strength and overcome the labels that she had been living with for so long. I am excited to see more of Gabby in Paxton's Promise and see what is in store for her!

Read on Stori, so I only got 0.5. It kept me guessing as to what would really happen. It’s set up with twins who are MMA fighters and like to fuck. They can have anyone, but Ryley sets his sights on Ashleigh who gives him a run for his money. Camden his twin also takes a liking to her. They strike up a deal to both spend 1 night with them separately then possibly together.
It’s not a whole story, and I’m not sure if I’ll read the rest.

Her best friend Gabby and she are studying for the same career but Gabby is also trying to break into the MMA like her older brother Matt. Ashleigh only agrees to go to the after party with Gabby as it the first time Gabby’s brother has agreed to let them go but the first stop was the fight. Meeting Ryley, Ashleigh’s thought he was an arrogant, self-centered jerk. What she didn’t know was that he was only one of two arrogant, self-centered jerks. It took a bit but when Ashleigh found out that the jerk she ran into at the party was Camden, Ryley’s twin brother. This of course doesn’t work in either brother’s favor.

Ryley’s has spent the past few years trying to be a person whom his late father would be proud of. There is no denying that he’s has a kind heart but he’s all alpha male. He has let the fame go to his head like his twin has but the moment he meets Ashleigh, she’s made him want to be a man his late father would be proud of. He knows that he wants Ashleigh and if he has to share her to get her then he’ll pull out all the stops to make her his in the end.


Camden has spent his life in his twins shadow or at least that is how he’s always felt. Of the two he has the darker soul but still very alpha male and stars in many girl’s bad boy fantasies. The moment he saw Ashleigh he wanted to show her just how different they truly were. Coming up with the idea for her to spend a night with each separately before she could have them at the same time was Camden’s ways of trying to prove he was better than his brother.

This is the 1st novella in the Gloves Off series and L.P. Dover hit it out of the park. Both Ryley and Camden has something about them that every girl wants. The bad boy fighters come up with a plan to get the one woman they both want. Hello, talk about living out a fantasy. I have to give Ashleigh credit for not jumping at it the first time they bring it up and how she doesn’t give into them so easily. Ashleigh’s night with Camden was definitely memorable and I thought it was fitting. With that said, Ryley does get screwed until he proves to her that she is making a mistake in thinking that they are both the same. Being an identical twin doesn’t mean they are identical in every way and Ryley proves this. This is a great start to the series which I’m looking forward to reading.

Gabriella (Gabby) Reynolds is the sister of MMA Heavyweight Champion Matt Reynolds and since he knew what his friends and other fighters were like he had always told her they were off limits. Gabby was attracted Tyler Rushing, her brothers best friend and fellow heavyweight fighter. These two can’t deny their attraction to each other but once they get together will the secret relationship last or will the secret get out and end up ruining everything they have?

Gabby is a strong-minded, free spirited woman who knows what she wants. Her older brother Matt is trying to keep her from getting her heart broken but it ends up backfiring when he reluctantly agrees to let her go to an after party. Gabby has wanted Tyler for a while now and the moment he finally gives into her advance things start to explode.

Tyler is a strong, well-built all alpha fighter who believes that he is doing the right thing by turning down the one woman who wants him for who he is and not what he is. Tyler has started to get sick of the meaningless one night stands his lifestyle as a fighter gives him but dating Gabby means he has to keep what they have a secret from his best friends and that doesn’t sit well with him.

This is the second novella to the Gloves off series and it’s just a hot as the first. I love the forbidden romance between Gabby and Tyler as Gabby’s brother doesn’t want her to date fighters. These two have an undeniable chemistry that can’t be ignored. I love how Gabby goes after what she wants. She’s the strong female character that everyone loves and is there for her friends when they need her. Tyler is an honorable guy trying his best to follow his best friend’s instruction but how do you keep turning away the one you want. The secret the two of them keep from everyone is hard on them but I see why they did. I had to agree there was no reason to tell Matt unless the relationship was going to last. I also really like that Ryley and Ashleigh made an appearance in this novella so we at least had some idea what was going on with them. This a great build up for Tyler’s story which is the first full novel in the series and I can’t wait to read it!
