★★★★★! Besotted, book 3 of 5. The continuation of aloof Billionaire Blake Barrington & Lana’s story dealing with their pasts, present & future!

“You will never know how lonely I was without you, but you have to understand that I am only strong when I am certain you are safe. And you are only safe when you are innocent. You can never come to me. Always I will make the journey to you.”

Books in series should be read in order:
Book 1: The Billionaire Banker - Blake & Lana
Book 2: Forty 2 Days - Blake & Lana
Part 2.1: Exposed - Blake & Lana
Book 3: Besotted - Blake & Lana
Book 4: Seduce Me - Julie’s story
Book 5: Love’s Sacrifice - Blake & Lana

Thanks to my girl Shannon for a fun filled day of buddy-reading! xoxo (Her Review)

In The Billionaire Banker (book 1) Lana Bloom met banker Blake Law Barrington, from one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in the world. She had gone to dinner with her boss in hopes of selling her virginity to pay for her mom’s cancer treatment. Blake intercepted and ended up paying double to have her as his mistress for three months.

Forty 2 Days (book 2) is the continuation of their story. Lana has 42 days left as Blake’s mistress. Through a series of unfortunate events mainly vindictive villains and powerful people in secret societies they had been separated for one year and they were forced to deal with the aftermath of hurt, distrust, betrayal and more.

Besotted (book 3) is follows Blake and Lana in the aftermath of the shockers in book 2. They have come a long way, but with decisions made and actions taken there are consequences they now must deal with. Blake is in control both literary and figuratively and we get to enjoy him at his best while he deals with his past, present and future. Lana has done a lot of growing up in this series and in book 3 her life comes full circle. A journey not to be missed!

“You are not coming.” His voice is suddenly hard.
I step away from him. “Why not?”
“Because you never take your beloved gerbil to a viper’s den.”

 photo BesottedHxBbysb_zps9e3b9fcf.gif

Blake Law Barrington is my kind of a hero, the larger-than-life kind! His family name has afforded him respect, success and wealth beyond belief but also caused him to be jaded, ruthless and aloof. Yet with Lana we get to a softer side He is going on my top-10 hero shelf!

Seven words to describe Blake: Ruthless, in-control, enigmatic, elusive, self-assured, reflective and captivating.

“But he has an even better idea.
“Come sit on my cock,” he commands.”

 photo BesottedhexBbysb_zps7cbe8b4a.gif

Seven words to describe Lana Bloom: Unassuming, endearing, smart, caring, vulnerable, charismatic and interesting.

Besotted (book 3) is an epilogue of sorts and the final installment of Blake and Lana’s story. However book 4, Seduce Me - Julie’s story (told from her POV) covers important events in Blake and Lana’s life that will be a special treat for all Blake fans.

Larger-than-life and top-10 hero shelf Blake Law Barrington! Enticing plot! Brilliant story-telling! And a compelling heroine to hold her own against Blake! I love this series!

“Do you own this?”
“It’s registered to the bank of Utah.”
“But really it’s yours?”
He shrugs. “Own nothing control everything.”

5 Blake is ALL MINE Stars!!!

Buddy Read with the fabulous SueBee!!

This is the conclusion of Lana Bloom and Blake Law Barrington's story in the Billionaire Banker Series. Georgia Le Carre delivers a beautiful conclusion to their story.

Lana Bloom is no longer the innocent, naïve young woman we met in The Billionaire Banker and in Forty 2 Days. Lana has grown into a strong woman and mother to baby Sorab. Lana has questions that need to be answered by Blake in order for her to move forward with their relationship.

Blake Barrington has also changed in that everything he cares about most in this world are Lana and Sorab. He will do everything to keep them safe.

“You will never know how lonely I was without you, but you have to understand that I am only strong when I am certain you are safe. And you are only safe when you are innocent. You can never come to me. Always I will make the journey to you.” ~Blake Barrington

Blake goes up against his family, the secret society, and ends things with his arranged-fiancé, Victoria, to be with the people that make him whole, Lana and Sorab. But, will Blake open up to Lana and give her the answers she needs?

This story had deliciously hot & erotic scenes that made me squirm. Blake knows what he is doing in the bedroom and is very inventive with his kink. Georgia Le Carre surprised me again with her creativeness!!

This is definitely a series I will be re-reading again. Blake, as you may have noticed, has been rewarded the highest standing being added in my GR name. He is definitely one of my top 5 book boyfriends and top 10 Heros.

Thank you so much, Georgia, for creating such a delicious alpha and a fabulous story. I'm looking forward to the next installment of this series about one of Lana's friends, Julie, in Seduce Me. We also get to see some more Lana & Blake in this book as well!!

The gorgeous SueBee and I had so much fun reading this together and finally decided we could share Blake!! Thanks doll for BRing this book with me.

This book was just that. Blake and Lana are besotted with one another. They are so besotted that they have sex a lot. Sometimes it is a little rough, sometimes is tender and then there are just sometimes it's just way out there .

I loved the connection that Blake and Lana have but I wanted more. I had so many questions from the last book and I was looking forward to more answers. This book was really about the love, lust, need and desire that Blake and Lana have for one another. I loved the ending but I feel as if it ended short and abruptly.

*** 3.5 Stars***

I am still devouring this series, although I have to say that a few things did bother me about this book. The biggest is that the story ended at 78%; which usually really ticks me off when I'm not warned about that. On the positive note, there was a novella at the end, that gave readers Blake's POV from the important scenes from books one and two! It is for sale on Amazon; but if you buy "Besotted" you get that novella free inside.

The other thing that irked me, and I unfortunately have to be vague as I don't want to give up spoilers...but in book one we are introduced to a villain who kind of gets swept under the rug at the end of the first book, and also the second..I am glad to report that the villain does play a small roll in this one, and I'm hoping that storyline will get dealt with in the third book!

As far as Blake and Lana go though, they still hold my utmost attention...and they end up having a lot of hurt to deal with in this installment. Their sex life though is still amazing, and believe me when I say my eyes were glued to the pages during their bedroom scenes..LOL

Once again I am happy to report that I'm still hooked, and am very grateful to have come across this new author for me! I just finished one clicking a bunch of her older series and can't wait to get started on the other series that are complete!!

3-ROMANTIC-STARS

While I think it was a great ride, I was kind of shocked as I hit the very last page, all I could think of, "That's it?" Besotted felt more like an extensive epilogue of 42 Days with some minor bumps and Blake's and Lana's psychological development. When I first saw the blurb, I thought it would be a full novel with real conflicts and climax.

Well, there I got it. It wasn't. Not really.

Please back off and read no more if you haven't read the book. You could easily answer all the leading questions in the blurb here.

A.) "But Lana still needs answers to many burning questions?
The secrets are many and tangled? Will she get the answers she seeks?"
Well, no, Blake HAS become a family guy but it DIDN'T stop him from keeping his secrets away from Lana (for her safety of course, so I could tolerate this)

B.) Blake finally lays it on the line to Victoria, and declares his true love for Lana, but will that be the end of the matter? I don't freaking know, apparently Victoria showed up twice, throwing some mean looks to Lana, and disappeared.

C.) Then there is the re-appearance of Marcus. Once, to talk about Opera AND to make sure Lana's well aware of his thought of her being such a slut.

Even more confusion when I read that the fourth book will be from another person perspective. Just... WHY? I need a closure on Marcus and Victoria issues before Blake and Lana get married. We DEFINITELY need the fourth book to be from Lana/Blake's perspective, although once again a fourth book isn't necessary when you can actually wrap the story up in the third book with couple more additional pages.

Those things being said, I still loved some parts about this book! Their sweet family moments, Blake's romantic words and possessiveness, Lana's character development were simply wonderful to read.

And in all honesty, I totally support Ms. Le Carre on making another story about another couple (as long as she finishes Blake's and Lana's story with a proper closure!)

5 cuty STARS!

Besotted is the 3rd book of The Billionaire Banker series. I totally loved the first two books and I loved this third book too!!

Besotted follows Blake and Lana's life right after the death of his father in book 2. The book had some great HOT breathtaking parts, some lovely romantic parts, some totally sweet parts with them and their child Sorab and some other interesting parts regarding his ex Victoria and his brother.

Loved Blake in this book even more than in the first two, loved his possessiveness and protectiveness with Lana and Sorab, I melted every time he was cuddling his son :))I loved the romantic guy, a new side of Blake that he himself was surprised to have. Lets say the Beast was humanized by the love of these two special people, and he felt more alive and happy now than ever!!

Lana as always was lovely, finally had her dream coming true, her new family is totally cute to read about. But she is also surrounded by fears and doubts about Blake's life, their union and she is willing to discover more even though Blake isn't willing to let her in that dark world.

So if you loved Blake and Lana in the first 2 books, you should totally read Besotted and have a fill of their amazing life together.

I totally recommend it♡

Where do I begin? The day I bought The Billionaire Banker, I was hooked on the beautiful writing style of this author. I inhaled her first, second and now third book in a span of hours. There's something about her stories that keeps me reading until I've reached the end and wish the pages would multiply so the story could go on and on. I love the way she's able to pull you into Blake and Lana's heat, passion and lust. It's so real seeming that you can relate to it as you read. Their story is one that I do NOT want for it to end (hint hint;)

In Besotted, Blake continues to protect the two most precious treasures in his life, Lana and Sorab. We get a glimpse into their little 'perfect' family and how sweet it is to see a more tender side of the intimidating Blake. But, there always is a 'but', there are dangerous people as well as relatives who want to separate them and enforce Blake to fulfill his new role. Blake is trapped, but will sacrifice anything to keep his family out of these people's claws...even Victoria's sharp claws...

Looking forward to the next book in the series...

Wow this book started off with a BANG!!!

Like hot and freaking ZAP me of breath , I can't think OH MY GOSH WTF is going on BANG!!!

We weren't in Kansas anymore Toto. No ..let's just say..don't stop reading!! Georgia is a freaky little princess and this is HER beast's castle!!

Blake was an epic hero, a anti hero at times but a hero like no other. He was truly a force to be reckoned with. From the first book he was my Beast and Lana my Beauty and I felt some sort of kinship with Georgia when I read this amazing line in Besotted . I really sealed the deal for my Beast.

The emotions between these two grabbed me from the pages and buried themselves right into my heart. I have so many highlighted passages in my kindle it surprised me.

Blake's intensity and passion for Lana took my breath away. I love it when a guy is all "Don't touch what is mine" The more possessive the better for me.

The substance of this particular section of our amazing love story is about these two holding on two what is theirs. Each other owned and possessed and also protected.

 Claimed for always.

When I find an author and a story that literally captivates me and keeps me enthralled for weeks and months, I feel like I've hit gold!! Georgia Le Carre is like a bright shining diamond. This story of Blake and Lana is going to live in my heart for years and years. I fell hard for Blake , so very hard. His level of perfect brokenness spoke to me on a level all it's own. I wanted to fix him and love him and even told Georgia that from the beginning.

When 42 days ended I was in a state of pure bliss. I knew my sweet couple was going to get their HEA and I was ready for them to be happy. Well not all grand love stories have that riding off into the sunset moment. Sometimes they have to grab each others hands and climb some more mountains to get to the other side and grasp their own freaking HEA. Blake and Lana fought hard and came out winning.  I could go on and on but I'm leaving the story to Georgia because she is the magic storyteller but I will say It's not then end though. Georgia has more for us.  The story continues in Seduce Me coming in June.

Georgia you are one in a million and I adore you.

This 3 Star rating in no way reflects the way I feel about this series. This rating is only for this book alone. The quality of writing was there, but the already short book ended at 78%. I don't feel like this should have been a separate book. It should have either been part of book 2 or combined with book 3.

This book was very anticlimactic. There was little to no drama. No bizarre twists or turns. Just a few run ins with Marcus and a couple of manipulative scenes from Victoria's POV. This book in no way lived up to what we have been primed to expect after reading the first two books. I'm not even sure how to give a summary because it felt more like a continuation than a separate book. Questions were still unanswered, and the book's description was not quite an accurate teaser for what we were going to learn from this particular book.

Some observations: (very minor spoilers)

Blake knew that Victoria paid Lana off and THAT is his reaction? Lana suffered way more than that when he thought she was to blame for running off the way she did. The way this tidbit was revealed was so glossed over I had to read it again to make sure I had read correctly the first time. After all the suffering he went through in Lana's absence, he barely reacts to Victoria. In fact, he feels sorry for her, that she is spoiled and that her feelings are hurt by him reneging on their engagement.

The fourth book is going to be told through Lana's old friend Julie's perspective. WTF??? By the way, you may be asking, who is Julie? Good question. No freakin clue. I had to read another review to learn that Julie was apparently mentioned in one of the other books as a childhood friend of Lana's who used to have a crush on Jack. Apparently she has a love/hate relationship with Lana, and apparently this history is enough for Lana to make her a bridesmaid in her wedding. (Or so I've heard from reading the teasers for Seduce Me). This could lead to some interesting stuff in book 4. However, ask me at this moment how much I care.

I want to know more about Marcus and Victoria. What are each's respective plans? I want to know what happens when Lana meets Blake's family. I want to know why Quinn is the only person Lana should trust in Blake's absence. I want to know about the brotherhood. I just don't care about Julie. I don't want Blake and Lana's continuation to be told through the observations and memories of some random. Now, maybe if Blake and Lana's story finished in book 4 and somehow during that story we were introduced to Julie and she somehow became relevant, that would be one thing. Then maybe I would have interest in how Julie finds happiness. I have a feeling that there is going to be some link that ties this whole thing together. Perhaps Julie messed around with Blake while Lana was away for a year out of jealously and revenge for Jack loving Lana. That could bring some excitement, but I still don't know that I want to experience the ending of Blake and Lana's story through any other POV other than theirs.

In all fairness, I haven't read book 4 and I don't think Georgia Le Carre would leave us hanging or, hopefully not, leave us disappointed. My love of The Billionaire Banker and Forty 2 Days makes me want to give her more credit than that. I sincerely hope that my review of Seduce Me will say something like, "Unbelievable. Brilliant. That was soooo unexpected." Mark my words, if I feel that way, I will let you know. However, I need to read the book first. Which I have been trying to do since it was supposed to be released today. I've searched for it everywhere and have come up with nothing. So, until then.....

Besotted...that I am!

So how do you say goodbye to this dynamic duo...without feeling so choked up you could hardly speak, tears threatening to fall? It's like saying goodbye to your own best friends. Since I've come to love and know Blake and Lana so well, they've become so much a part of me. They sometimes come to mind when I lay silently in bed at night, wishing I have the kind of love they share that has me inspired. How many successful authors able to that, where after reading a great story, you're not able to let go.

This is one of the very few books I love where I couldn't wait to finish it, yet dreading for it to come to an end. You just fall in love with Blake and Lana from the very beginning to the end, I ran through a gamut of emotions through the entirety of this fascinating journey. I cried, got mad, upset and scared I cringed. Though some scenes got me feeling apprehensive my hands felt cold, some scenes are so sizzling hot that had my heart beating fast and erratic, the feeling was ecstatic! Now that they're gone, I'm feeling bereft I so want them back!

At the end of the first book, THE BILLIONAIRE BANKER, where Lana and Blake separated, I began to wonder how the author is going to bring them back together without seeming contrived, but Ms.Le Carre is so freaking brilliant and clever she came up with a twist so believable I couldn't wait to devour FORTY 2 DAYS. And even more clever in how she keeps them together. I've never seen an author so ingeniously weave such a crazy but completely believable set of events that get you so wrapped up it's a struggle to be able to put it down.

Lana is beautiful, kind to a fault, forgiving but strong, no matter how sometimes things seem hopeless, she blossoms into a caring and loving young woman. And Blake, oh my, where do I even begin, combined with his wealth, power and his outrageous looks and physique, he's magnificent. He's built a massive financial empire he's feared and respected. He's shrewd but classy and smooth, a bit reserved and doesn't let many people get close to him. He's brutal with his payback when he's been wronged but will stop at nothing to win what he thinks he deserves, including and especially getting back Lana, the only woman he loves. He has a good, old fashioned ethics and a strong sense of right and wrong. He not only is good for Lana, together they're irresistible, a perfect match!

So how do you say goodbye to this two most beloved couple, how do you let go? I have no answer except to trust Ms. Le Carre to bring us another memorable couple in another captivating tale that graces Blake's and Alana's presence, which she already have...don't miss SEDUCE ME, it not only sizzle but crackles and scorches it singes.

I absolutely love this series!

This book is the most romantic of the 3, but has some pretty steamy love scenes - oh yes indeed!!! Blake is totally gaga for Lana! He never thought he could feel such love for her and Sorab...And so this part of the story is him getting in the groove of his happy little family. Some twists and turns with Marcus and Victoria who I see in the future are going to cause a ruckass, but bring it on!

Georgia really has done her homework on explaining 7 star hotels and restaurants with over the top cuisine...so you are caught up in all the senses - touch, feel, smell, sight, taste and it goes for the sex scenes too! Blake says..." The grace of the human figure, the delicacy of its form is the perfect plate. I'd love to fill your body with all manner of food and slowly lick it off." whew! See?! Continues..."souffle' aux fruits de la passion on your nipples, sabayon sauce on your belly, Carmel on your pubic bone and bananas en papilote between your legs." gah! (*fanning myself) Oh and there's more...I'm telling you - he's the master of seduction!!!

So ...Georgia - I'm looking forward to the finale and all the other stories yet to come from you!

This book was completely unnecessary. It answered zero questions, and all it managed to do was make me annoyed with Blake. He went from a sexy, dominating force in the first couple of books to a cheesy, lovestruck fool.
Until I met you I never wanted a woman's tears, but I want your sighs, I want your laughter, I want your joy, your smell, your smile. I want it all."
This is a far cry from the man who once made her bend over just so he could stare at her and enjoy her humiliation.
And that's ALL the book was--them constantly telling each other how deep and true their love is, how happy they are. Bleh.
It's not even as clean as the other books. The nanny's name suddenly changes from Gerry (short for Geraldine) to Jerry, and for a little while, I was confused about who was even being discussed.
Also, come to find out the next book isn't even in the POV of Lana or Blake but, instead, it's from the POV of one of her bridesmaids, and we don't really get any true answers about what happens until book five.
In other words, I'm done.

when I finished book 2, I contacted Georgia Le Carre and asked when the release dates were for 3+4. She confirmed 13 + 14 May. Imagine to my surprise and disappointment that book 4 wont be released now until July - hence the reason why I immensely dislike this form of writing.

I find it very hard to be positive reviewing books like this - despite the fact I did like Georgia Le Carre's writing voice and I thought the plot (initially) had potential.

Book 3 gave away nothing - no further forward. Pretentious, lots of sex and no real story or explanation to Blake's involvement with the mysterious group. this was a complete waste of my reading time and money.

Do I sound pissed off?? you bet! Returned for a refund.

I love Blake! Definitely one of my top favorite book males! I loved this, but it was too short! & I'm bummed the last book will be in another person's POV. WHY?!! Who is Julie Sugar?!! I support this author, but she could have wrapped up all the issues, questions, & wedding in this book - not make a fourth book in someone else's POV...WE NEED BLAKE OR LANA'S POV! I wanted to know what was going to happen with Marcus, Victoria & Lana meeting Blake's mother! Victoria is definitely CRAZY! The sex scenes were hot! Blake made me swoon (and get really turned on!), he's perfect! just wish there would have been more! I read it in one sitting - I loved this series!

I needed more.

I loved the first book, the second less so and this one.....at times I couldn't see the point, this book didn't really seem to go anywhere, lots of sex but if I'm being totally honest it didn't feel like a separate book, more like an extension of the previous one 'Forty 2 Days' the reviews are nearly all fantastic so I must be missing something, have I given up on this series? No, definitely not I love these two and I need to know what happens to them so I'm in this until the end.

I'm still around a 3 for this series. It's ok for me, but nothing earth-shattering. Lana seems to grow up more in this one, but she still has some moments that are cringy for me. For example, she knows what Blake does. At one point she thinks he's killed someone else (as well as his father). She's all like, oh my goodness, did I fall in love with a monster?!?!?! ***Insert eye roll*** Girl, please! Just make her strong. Strong to handle his crazy family, this crazy girl that's going to cause issues. Hopefully, she grows more of a backbone.

3 Disappointing stars

Besotted was such a disappointment. I did enjoy the read, but nothing happened and the read was VERY SHORT.

I rather have waited for next book and just read this one and the next one in one sitting. Besotted should have been a novella.

Lana and Blake are adorable, plus you have cute baby Sorab. YAY! Both are a happy family and Blake is very much in love with Lana. There are some steamy kinky scenes, which made Besotted more enjoyable. All I’m gonna say is whisky bottle and ice. You get the picture.

Was there tension? I wouldn’t say so. I think Victoria and Blake’s family causes problems, but there isn’t a story line there, until the next book. Besotted kind of sets everything up for the next read. I think that is why I was a bit disappointed.

Overall, a good read, but too short and wished I waited for book 4.

This is quite a culmination of Lana and Blake's story. It's short, but there are many important things that happen in it. Lana realizes that she will have to learn to stand on her own with Blake's family and Victoria, but not without Blake completely. Blake realizes he cannot live without Lana, and in the last book we learned the lengths he is willing to go to keep her and his son safe. Blake breaks things off with Victoria, not realizing that she's a better actress than he thought. Lana soon finds out how good, and knows that she is still an issue that will have to be dealt with. Even though this is a short book in comparison to the first two, there is still plenty of deception, conniving and ruthlessness. Then contrasting to that we have the love of Lana and Blake. It's fabulous, the ending could have knocked me off my feet, cause I wasn't prepared for that. But I would have to say it's perfectly Blake's style. I have loved this series since the beginning, and cannot wait for the next book to find out the ending of Blake and Lana's story.

Short review: I endured a bit of Blake and Lana fatigue in this story. It was just so much excess, including the sex. However, the entire last section was just so well written. I began to really root for them as a couple and that they'd survive Blake's obligations. Truly, though, the brief scene on the plane captured something, the truth of their love as a family and for each other. Perhaps, it was being able to relax all the drama for a bit. And as I saw the dwindling pages, I suddenly wanted more. I began thinking of a serial like HM Ward's "The Arrangement" for those of us that want the ins and outs of Blake's business dealings and of Lana's cultural growth and her work at her foundation. And if they have more kids and the little boy Sorab grows up to be. That's a good sign, yes? It actually reminded me of a Kristen Ashley novel and that's about the highest compliment I can give.

Oh Whoa, Georgia you have done it again. I totally love your books and with
Besotted we see so much more of this beautiful relationship that is
developing between Blake and Lana, and yet there is still a sense of so
much more potential Intrique. The sex is still damn hot and Blake is much
more attentive to Lana and Sorab in this book. I've read that in Seduce me
we are going to see the love between them through the eyes of the
bridesmaid Julie. This is a surprise direction, but its also the thing I
love most about you Ms Le Carre, you are not afraid to shock and explore
new boundaries, those that other authors would never dare travel and kudos
to you. I know that It will still be a great story and I cannot wait. But
give us a date? Please.

Love Blake and Lana together; I really love how protective Blake is with Lana and his son and I love how possessive he is with them... What I don't like is the fact that this book was so short and didn't provided more insight on what's going on with this secret society or what's going to happen; I have no clue where the story line is going... It's kinda of frustrating...

I am really interested in seeing what Victoria has planned to try and win back Blake... I know it's not going to happen, but her chapter in this book was a trip! She's certifiable CRAZY! LOL... After reading the excerpt for Seduce Me; I really hope that Blake and Lana's "wrap up" isn't a rushed job and it gives us the proper closure we deserve... And who the heck is Julie Sugar?

I absolutely enjoyed this book! Love the authors writing style and her ability to really make the reader feel the emotions of the characters while giving us a glimpse into how the ultra wealthy live. I liked this much, much better than book two. My only complaint is that it was too short and a bit of a cliff hanger. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

The secrets of society should remain secret. The fight to be the man you wish and the man you are borned into is heavy on Blakes shoulders. I truly thought the fight was over in book two but I now see it has only truly began. I want to choke Victoria.. Blake needs to see her for what she truly is. Lana needs to accept that some things are better left a secret.
