FOUR I DARE YOU TO LOVE ME STARS.

"I could bury myself deep inside of you where you need me. All you have to do is ask me nicely."

description

Do you want a book that will make your toes curl? Your heart beat faster? and give you a romantic workout? Then readers this is the book for you. Sweet, sultry and romance are it's winning themes, 'Falling for the groomsman' swept me away into all it's charming and easy predictability. By now it's fairly obvious that I have a love for the Brazen trope but Diane Alberts has made it easy to fall into lust with this loveable romance story and I can happily announce that this author has started the 'wedding dare' series off with a bang.

Jilted after one heated and passionate night together Christine Forsythe is still trying to forget the one man who made a difference to her love life all those years ago. Successful doctor Tyler Dresco still can't believe he left the one woman who he can't ever forget about and he is determined to make this second chance count. An inevitable meeting once again between this couple at a family wedding means that this couple have to fight the temptation of each other once again, but this time Tyler is not repeating the same mistakes, he going after what is his.

description

The anticipation of a second chance at love always presses at my romance buttons. 'Falling for the groomsman' has plenty of story telling, a bundle of imaginative orgasms and oodles of heart. I adored the characters involved in this storyline and it didn't take the story long to sweep me up in all it's romantic action. This short novel had just the right amount of conflict and chemistry to go alongside the inevitable love and copious amount of bedroom action. The drama was kept to a minimum which is always a plus when you are reading a book designed for quick, easy and loveable reading time spent. All in all I felt charmed by this novel and with a perfect ending to go with it 'Falling for the groomsman' ended up winning me over.

Final thoughts ...
I can already predict that the 'Wedding dare' series is going to be an absolute blast to be reading, I love the concept of authors coming together to create a continuing series together and this novel has started it off at a great pace. I'm hoping the rest of the novels continue to be just as loveable as Tyler and Christine's book has been and I'm already anxiously hoping that secondary characters that I have already met in this book get their chance at a happily forever. Well written, sizzling hot and heart warming this short but impressive novel was well worth the time spent reading and now I'm exited for what is to come. A fast paced start, a mouthwatering middle and an ending that left me feeling giddy happy this short but satisfying romance hit the jackpot. I can't wait for readers to start to enjoy the 'wedding dare' series, go grab it on release day. Enjoy ... Kisses

She’s the one that got away. He’s the one she can’t forget.

To say that I have been greatly anticipating getting my hands on this series ever since I finished Dare to Resist would be a slight understatement. So needless to say when this little beauty arrived on my Kindle, there may have been a little bit of this going on

But here's the thing, when you build your hopes up for a particular book, the reality can't possibly measure up, right? WRONG

I BINGED on these and read all 4 books back to back. I highly recommend reading them all in order, and I'll link my reviews to all 4 books at the end here. I loved how everything was intricately interwoven in each story and the connections in each book just added to the overall enjoyment. But that's enough about that, let's get to the review here shall we?

I'm a huge fan of the jilted lover from the past trope, so I was verra excited to find out that Tyler was the bad boy that crushed poor Christine's heart over 8 years ago.

And now, here they were. Should he say something to her? Break the silence? But what was he supposed to say? Sorry for popping your cherry and not talking to you for eight years. But, hey, can I buy you a drink?" Somehow, that didn't seem sufficient for the hatred she must feel for him by now.

Tyler knows what a huge mistake he made, he was young, stupid, and ran scared. So when he sees Christine at his sister Kady's wedding after all the time that's passed, he knows he has to fix it. But Christine isn't the young and naive girl she was before, and she's not interested in anything he has to say. And she's not about to fall for anything he has to say again

Why are you here, talking to me of all people? Let me guess. You're feeling sorry for kissing me, and you're here to apologize again."
"Fuck no. I didn't do anything worth apologizing for, Red."
"I don't know about that. I mean, maybe you pictured me naked while we were kissing. You'd have to drop down on your knees and pray for my forgiveness if you did."
"If I dropped to my knees, it wouldn't be to beg for your forgiveness."

I couldn't get enough of these two. The sexual chemistry between them was absolutely palpable. Add into the mix a few snarky insults, a sassy heroine giving the hero hell, and did I mention the smoking hot outdoorsy loving?

This book had it all. I fell hard for Tyler. And is it slightly sadictic of me that I enjoyed the hell out of his groveling? That's not to say that he came off as weak. Oh hell no. Tyler definitely brought the dirty

How come everyone says you're so sweet and kind and quiet, but with me you're so bossy...and...dirty?"
"I have no idea. I don't act like this around other women. Maybe you bring out the worst in me."

I simply didn't want this to end.

And then there was that epilogue. Oh my god! Perfection. I was reading it with this big goofy smile on my face.

So to sum up, would I recommend this book? Are you kidding? Why aren't you reading it already?!

But I will recommend getting all 4 of these bad boys, finding a comfy quiet corner, and spending some quality time with all the delicious groomsmen and bridesmaids of the Wedding Dare.

I can't wait to see what the talented Diane Alberts has up her sleeve next.

4 Hot Stars!

Eight years ago, Christine, was going to a really bad moment in her life and in one particularly moment she ends up being comforted by her best-friend’s older brother. In that night she also loses her virginity with him… but something happened and he got away. For the past years she never completely forgot him and she stills resent him for leaving her that night. Now, trapped in a hotel with him for a week she only wants distance from him… and maybe revenge. But her body and their undeniable attraction makes things run a little differently.

description

Tyler also never forgot that night. He lost control and everyday he regrets leaving Christine alone in that hotel room.
But now he’s decided to have her again. This time for good. And believe me, this is a sexy chase.

description

It all begins with just a game of cat and mouse. We wants to chase and she pretends that don’t want to be caught. But what will happen when the game ends and real life and real feelings get in their way?

Rating: 4 Stars.
Storyline: A fast-paced and sexy reading for when you need a hot pick me up book. It’s not a long book but it’s really good and entertaining so when whenever you find yourself not knowing what to read, give this a try. You’ll not regret!
Writing Style: Third person. Dual POV. Solid and appealing writing.
Character Development: Tyler was pretty good. I loved him and root for him every page. He was a damn sexy alpha-male. Christine was good, but she annoyed me several times with her stubbornness. I really enjoyed seeing the interaction between all the other couples. I can’t wait to read their books!
Steam: Hot.

4 - Dr. McAss & Patient McClumsy Stars!

Falling for the Groomsman could not be a more perfect start to the Wedding Dare series (not forgetting Dare to Resist obviously). Jen McLaughlin (Diane Alberts)has put together a hilariously funny, but also sweetly poignant story to ease the reader in, like hot chocolate off a spoon.

”Hey, Red.”
“It’s Christine.”
“Not to me.”... “To me, you’ll always be Red.”

Christine Forsythe and Tyler Dresco have history, not great history but the memories of their one and only time together on a holiday to Mexico 8 years ago are still strong for them both. Bearing in mind Tyler ran like Usain Bolt out of the starting gate after the taking her virginity, Christine is wary of having anything to do with him whilst spending the week at Beaver Creek Resort for her best friend Kady’s (his little sister) wedding.

Sweaty palms. Racing hearts, and forgotten dreams.

Christine has spent the last 8 years comparing every man to Tyler, and no-one has quite measured up, with that in mind she has come to the wedding with a specific set of goals, none of which include Tyler.

Christine’s Sex To-dos
- Kiss a stranger.
- Have sex outside
- Make out in an elevator.

Being back in her company made him feel as if he’d never stopped thinking about her. Never stopped wanting her.”

Several massive plus points for this book, that made this couple work so well together for me, were firstly their interactions; their verbal sparring was conducted with such ease and flow that I really felt the history between them. As the book develops you begin to understand that both of them have spent the last 8 years carrying around completely the wrong end of the stick as to what happened that night in Mexico between them.

”I had sex with you because I wanted to. Because you made me feel good. Not because I was drunk and out of my head.”

”When we get too close... Sparks fly. Inevitably, you end up pressed against a wall with me in between your legs. Mexico. Last night. Tonight...”

I also loved that the whole little sisters best-friend aspect wasn't overplayed in the story, admittedly it is one of my favourite tropes, but sometimes you just want to get down to the nitty-gritty, and hells-yeah we do in Falling for the Groomsman.

Tyler – “You want me to kiss you. Touch you. Fuck you. Admit it.”
Christine – “You talk to your patients that way Dr. Dresco?”

Christine was an absolute gem of a character as well, I loved that she gave Tyler a dose of his own medicine, by turning him down and doing a Houdini on him every chance she got!

”I’m refusing your refusal of my refusal.”

But boy can Tyler turn the heat up...AND FAST!

”This time? I’m not fucking stopping. And no running away”

“No running away.” ... “I won’t stop you this time. I’m yours Tyler.”

“Damn right you are.”

The dual POV really works in this book, you get the story from both sides, and you see them both at their strongest as well as at their most vulnerable, it also adds to the fact that you are given a little insight into the rest of the characters that will figure in the future books of the series.

”The idea of you with another man will never, ever make me feel better. You were supposed to be mine.”

If the quality of the writing and storyline contained in Falling for the Groomsman is the standard we can expect from this series, then ladies you are in for a treat!

4 Wedding Dare, Smoke Detector Hot Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free
This is the first of the quartet of stories based on the Wedding of Kady and Colt. We met this group in the novella by Laura Kaye's Dare to Resist.

What we have is the location wedding with activities and intertwined groomsmen and bridesmaids. All of them have a history of some kind and the sexual energy is banging off the walls. Ideas of hookups and lists of dares abound. Someone is definitely going to get some, it is only a matter of time and with who.

The target couple for this installment by Diane Alberts/Jen Mclaughlin is Christine and Tyler.
They have serious history from 8 years ago. She was a wreck from losing her parents to a drunk driver. She was at a loss and just didn't know how to handle it all. Her sorority sisters were there for her but a trip to Mexico had been planned and knowing they would cancel to be with her, she thought of them.

Christine convinced them she was wanting to escape so they all went on the trip as planned. There Kady's brother went to oversee they were safe. Christine separated herself from all the events and Tyler ended up going and seeing what the problem was...

It was during a weak point, Christine broke down and cried in Tyler's strong arms. Her crush and need mixed with both of their emotions took over. Tyler found himself first comforting her only to escalate to taking her V-Card.

Shocked and stunned, Tyler messed up. He choked out a sorry and left her standing there in the hallway. Christine was confused about what he was sorry about... was it being with her??? doing the deed, what? That encounter took on a life of its own, she never shared what took place with Kady, Tyler's sister. Instead she pretended it was someone else she hooked up with.

But just because she never shared with anyone, didn't mean it hadn't left its' mark. For the next 8 years, Christine was distant or cold to Tyler at any gathering. Now they were to be in the bridal party together. Great, just what Christine needed, not.

Tyler hasn't forgotten that night and it impacted him, too. As a doctor, he felt it wasn't fair to ask for a woman to understand his love of medicine. He had seen so many destroyed relationships and marriages, long hours, no time for baseball with kids or vacations... No, it was not right to ask for someone to share him with his other wife, medicine.

He never had any relationships, just a little connecting here and there to scratch that physical itch. But, in the back of his mind, he always felt sad about how things had gone with Christine, and try as he might to apologize to her, she never cooperated. She was a lost opportunity in his mind.

The two see each other, get thrown into a situation where he ends up pulling her aside and kisses her...

Well, Let The Games Begin.

Christine can't breathe. Everything comes rushing back, lots of flashbacks, and self-talk happens. She must be strong. Tyler, on the other hand, is awakened and is thinking he wants a do-over. He wants to see what there is between them. He had a twinge, a tweak in his chest, was it there all along. Well, there is only one way to find out, isn't there...

This quick read was just so smokin' hot... I had an iced pitcher of lemonade ready because these two, when getting busy, were setting off the smoke detector in my apartment.

Our author mixed it up, she showed us our fella knew how to "go downtown" and made sure our gal saw Jesus a few times before both had their fill. Seriously, these two had a history so their feelings for each other were not an inst-lust thing. I appreciated the challenge of getting over past wrongs...of trying to overcome preconceived notions. I liked Tyler big time and was patient with Christine. She had a difficult life with a lot to handle, so trying to handle all she felt was reasonable.

All of the secondary characters were part of the story with little hints of possible connections happening setting up the future parts of the upcoming stories of this Wedding Dare grouping. All of these stories can be read separately or in any order... but because they are so engaging... I highly recommend you plan on all four.

The next installment to this group is Baiting the Maid of Honor by Tessa Bailey... and I can hardly wait to see what is in store.

“To me, you’ll always be Red.”
(…)
“But you lost the right to have any cute little names for me when you left me that night.”

Eight years ago Tyler made a mistake in Mexico when he took Christine’s virginity and left her. They didn’t talk with each other in these eight years and he never apologize for leaving her, but...he never forget her. When he sees Christine at his sister’s wedding he is determined to win her, he wants another chance, he needs her.

“He was like a drug, and she needed another hit.”

Christine never forgot Tyler or that night in Mexico. She is determined to stay strong and not let Tyler affects her, even if he’s more irresistible than ever. She plans to ignore Tyler and check thinks off her list…and maybe get payback on Tyler for what he did to her.

Tyler and Christine try to fight the temptation of each other, but their attraction is too strong. They feel to drown to each other, they can’t help themselves…

“You want me to kiss you. Touch you. Fuck you. Admit it.”

description

Everything changes when Tyler admits to himself that he wants Christine, but not only for one night...

“He wanted more. He wanted her heart. When it came to Christine, it was all or nothing.”

description

This was a pretty good read and like the first book in the series I really enjoyed it. I loved Tyler! He’s bossy, jealous, possessive and yeah...he has a dirty mouth. Love his mouth!!! He’s so yummy… Christine…well…I liked her, but I didn’t love her. She really frustrated me a few times, even if I understand her need to make Tyler pay for what he did. Sometimes she was too snarky for my liking. Anyway, both of them are likeable and enough developed.

I really enjoyed the chase between them and the chemistry and the sex scenes between these two are fantastic!

The story has an entertaining storyline and great side characters and the writing is pretty awesome.

All in all, "Falling for the Groomsman” it was a great sexy read and can’t wait to read the other books in the series.

Tyler popped Christine's cherry 8 years ago and left. Now reunited at his sisters wedding, he wants her back. Can he undo his mistake and make her fall for him?

Christine was one of those heroines still bitter from the past and plays hard to get. Although it was a bit frustrasting to read I thought her reasons were justified. Tyler deserved to sweat it out and their back and forth was fun at times.

This was a fun start to the series. I would recommend if you like short and sexy romance. This book was actually average and I couldnt decide between 3 and 4 stars but when the ending left me with an awwww, it sealed a 4 stars.

1 Wedding. 4 Bridesmaids. 4 Groomsmen. 1 dare

Jen McLaughlin/Diane Alberts has kicked the wedding celebrations off with a bang. Form an orderly queue, as Tyler Dresco is our first groomsman up and this delectable Doctor has a bedside manner we would all appreciate...

description

Rewind 8 years to Mexico where our much younger and unwiser doctor gave his sister's best friend a night she would never forget. Christine Forsythe however would rather forget, as he bolted. When they arrive for Colton & Kady's wedding, older and wiser, avoidance isn't an option and it transpires Tyler has never forgiven himself for what he did...and neither has Christine.

There are so many tropes in this book that I loved; best-friends older brother, revenge, the love/hate relationship and the strong stubborn female lead going toe-to-toe with the brooding hero. And with all this comes a chemistry that burns; with bickering, snarkiness and arguments, Christine is the epitome of a fiery redhead and it's only a matter of time before the explosion occurs. Add in Tyler's dirty way with words and it will set those panties alight:

“I think if it were me you left with instead of him, I would’ve buried my c*** inside of you until you were too tired to stand, let alone leave with another man again”

description

But the passion also perfectly complimented with heartfelt, and as brooding, bossy and stubborn as Tyler is, Christine unleashes his compassionate, sensitive and caring side. He will make you sigh.

description

So, with completely loveable characters, sexy passionate antics, fight, fire, touching moments and the most perfect of epilogues, Dr. McBossy and Patient McClumsy get 5 stars from me. You know when you have a gut feeling about a series? I have it and Jen McLaughlin/Diane Alberts has created fabulous build up for the remaining books in the series.

Christine lost her virginity to Tyler, she’s always loved him and thought that, that moment would be the start of something great. But her hopes shatter as he apologizes and runs off. Since that sexy but also sad encounter they have been carefully avoiding each other. But they can avoid each other no more, with her being a bridesmaid and Tyler the groomsman at Kady’s wedding, they will have to interact!

Tyler doesn’t know what to expect when he comes face to face with Christine, he’s sorry for running away from her all those years ago so he apologizes, again. If he thinks that she’s waiting on another apology from him, he thought wrong. It only angers her but he knows his Red, he knows how to push her buttons…a couple wrong ones but also the right ones that make her forgive him.

Unfortunately so for Christine, as she wants to work off her sex to-do list and Tyler is , unconsciously, making that impossible. He isn’t on her list but somehow he makes the list revolve around him..Maybe she can add him to her list, maybe under the category “revenge”.

Falling for the Groomsman has key ingredients for a feel good read, it’s sweet, sexy, awkward and oh so funny. I really liked this story, it’s characters, the dialogue, the Grey’s Anatomy references and of course the chemistry between Tyler and Christine.

The chemistry between the two had me inching my face closer and closer to my iPad screen. So much smut, against the wall, against the tree, on the floor. Fictional characters always get the good stuff..

I really like clumsy Christine, she is so much fun and I could really connect with her, maybe because her personality reminds me of a certain someone. And I love how she uses snarky remarks to get Tyler to back off, too bad they don’t have much effect on him, though.

Tyler really is a Dr.McDreamy hot and intense but also clumsy, his clumsiness lies in the love department. He has no idea what love is, has never been in love and the women he slept with never managed to capture his interest for long leading him to believe that he isn’t the relationship kind of guy. He’s also clueless about what his apologizing brings forward in Christine, she doesn’t want them…unless it’s for disrupting her list.

“I didn’t do anything worth apologizing for, Red.”
“I don’t know about that.” She fluttered her lashes at him. “I mean, maybe you pictured me naked while we were kissing. You’d have to drop on your knees and pray for my forgiveness if you did.”
“If I dropped to my knees, it wouldn’t be to beg for your forgiveness.”

If that doesn’t make you want to forgive him, he can always pull out his trump card and start singing…

“‘You want me? Come find me, Doc,’”

Did I mention he’s also possessive, he doesn’t tolerate men approaching Christine…if they do, well let’s say that it’s a good thing that glaring daggers at people doesn’t actually hurt them…

“Well, I found you. Now I’m prepared to collect.”

I love Diane Albert’s writing and the way she has portrayed the secondary characters in this book has me wanting to check out the other books in this series too. Poor Kady though, she wasn’t the star of her own wedding…extravaganza.

2.5 // nearly a three stars

I didn't love this one but didn't loathe it either.

I had to back tracks since I read book 2, Tessa Bailey's contribution to the series first so this one had a lot to live up to. I liked Tyler, hot doctor stud muffin, but I had issues with the heroine, she just got on my nerves a lot. She wasn't horrid or a bitch, but something about her wishy-washy attitude rubbed me wrong. She wanted the H, she didn't want the H, she was going to get revenge on the H, then she wasn't. She was holding a fricking grudge from 8 years ago, sure, H took her V-card and left afterwards, but that was it! it didn't damage her, why get all snotty about it as vehemently as she did? Especially when the H did everything he could to let her know he was sorry ( he said it a million times ) and tried to show he wanted her, and to make it up to her, he chased her like a dog!

“Do you have to argue with me every time I fucking open my mouth?” ---- I couldn't agree more with Tyler. Christine did this a lot. A lot. To the point my eyes were tired of rolling.

It was a nice safe one toned story. Not bad, just not amazing.

Honestly, I'm kinda bummed...I actually considered this a 2 star read for a good portion of the book, which hurt my feelings...I have read from this author (several times) and will continue to do so, but this one just didn't really do a whole lot for me.
I did like Tyler...I really did...but man, Christine...ugh...not so much. I wanted to just tell her she doesn't deserve him and close the book.
There were lots of things I did like, most of these moments come from Tyler. Especially his whole Racing heart. Sweaty palms. Dreams of the future. Fuck. ...or something similar.
Anyhoo, I think my biggest issue with Christine was...well...there were so many things, what was the worst? The fact that she is hanging on to something that happened 8 years ago? The fact that she's trying to punish Tyler for thing that happened 8 years ago? Or is it the fact that she, as a grown woman-makes a list and decides to put Get Payback On Tyler on the list? Or was it when she made sure she got her orgasm then left my man high and dry?
Yeah...pretty much every decision she made was wrong.

Look, I'm not saying she shouldn't have been hurt or upset by what happened. I get it, I do...but damn...how many times must the man apologize?! Or just decide to be pissed and stay away!
She can not make up her mind! she wants him, she needs to get away from him. She wants some payback, he is such a good, caring guy. She is gonna just have sex, no strings. then she's all OMG! I'm attached. No one compares!

Oh! and lets not forget being stubborn to the point of FUCKING HURTING YOURSELF! Woulda served her right to slide down a fucking mountain and break both her legs, but by God she will be walking down that aisle! I mean...can we stop with the "I am woman, hear me roar" shit long enough for you to make a logical damn decision. Most of the time, I was shaking my head at her and thinking

So...yeah...overall...not a big fan of hers.

So, I've ranted. I'm pretty much the only person I saw that didn't give this either 4 or 5 stars, so odds are everybody else will love it and I think its worth the read, and we catch glimpses into the other characters and what's going on with them and that's fun...and there is sweetness and hotness in here as well...this one just didn't really do it for me.

4 Doctors without borders stars

I think it is imperative to read this book as part of the Wedding Dare series, in order to appreciate the storyline and background of the supporting characters.

The next four books in the Wedding Dare series follow the main participants of Colton and Kady’s wedding. Each book is written by a different but familiar author, picking up on the general storyline and doing what they do best!

The wedding party have taken themselves to a beautiful resort for the week prior to the wedding, and plan to undertake a jam packed schedule of events.

In this book, we meet Tyler Dresco, big brother of Kady. The Doctor Without Borders is usually found in very unfamiliar territory, worldwide, wherever his expertise is needed most.

Christine Forsythe is Kady’s best friend, and finds herself in a state of shock, when she first sees the attendees of the Wedding party. She had never forgotten the short, steamy horizontal action she had enjoyed with Tyler Dresco 8 years ago, whilst on a holiday in Mexico. Tyler was comforting Christine, when his intentions took a detour, and he unwittingly deflowered her. On realisation, he fled leaving her gobsmacked and confused.

Since then, Christine has unknowingly compared her liaisons to Tyler, and as a result, decided to compile a list of Sex To-Dos, hoping the imminent week away may assist in knocking a few entries off.

The game playing and verbal banter between these two was entertaining, humorous and flirtatious. Each of their perceptions of how the situation had been left, were revealed through the dual POV of the story, and when the heat increased, so did my interest.

”A battle of wills, sex edition?”

We are introduced to other members of the wedding party, beginning to sow seeds for the following stories.

A great continuation of this series, fancifully written at a captivating pace.

DNF @ 36%

There were a lot of positive reviews about this novel so I've decided to pick this up, but this novel..wasn't for me..

The novel started okay. The 2 characters met again after 7 years of avoiding each other, blah blah..

I felt no excitement towards this novel. I wanted to drop it so many times but thought better of it coz the story might peak up but at 36%, I just couldn't take it and had to drop it.

4 Groomsman + 4 Bridesmaids = 4 Delicious New Brazen Novels

This is the first book is this wonderful little series that some of the best and hottest Brazen authors have gotten together to write. In the novella we were introduced to Colt and Kady who discovered their love for each other.

This is now their wedding where love is not only in the air, but is also happening to our 4 hot groomsman and bridesmaids.

This is Tyler (Kady's brother) and Christine (Kady's best friends) story. Theirs actually began years ago on spring break in Mexico. After they spent one hot night together, Tyler got scared and took off on Christine. She has spend years hurting over what he did to her that night. She arrives at the wedding with a list of all the hot things she wants to accomplish at this wedding. Making out with a stranger, getting in on in a elevator etc. She just needs to pick who she is going to accomplish all these things with.

When she sees Tyler again after all these years, she not only remembers the hot night she spend with him, but also finds it hard to look away. After all he is more gorgeous now than he was then.

Tyler cant believe how beautiful the hot redheaded Christine has become and he cant believe how one look at her makes him feeling all sorts of things inside...After all he has just accepted a new job as the Chief of Staff at a Portland hospital....Having a relationship is the last thing he wants or needs...

What happens when Dr McDreamy and Red start spending more time together....will that fateful night in Mexico be repeated or will they finally be able to admit to each other and themselves what they mean to the other....

After reading the novella Dare to Resist, I knew I had to continue the series. I'm so glad I did. I'm a sucker for second chance books and I'd say this one falls into that category.

After losing her parents tragically, Christine's friends try to help her move on with her life by encouraging her to take a trip with them to Mexico. Begrudgingly she agrees and soon finds herself being comforted by her best friends brother, Tyler. That comfort leads to one night of passion between the two mad her loosing her virginity.

Now years later Christine knows she's going to run into him at her best friends wedding. She never forgot about him, but can't forgive him for leaving her in Mexico. Even though she plans to ignore him and check things off of her list, her body still craves his touch.

Kiss a stranger.
Have sex outside.
Make out in an elevator.

Tyler never forgot about her either. He couldn't help feeling guilty about what he took from her, but more importantly, he couldn't forget how she made him feel.

Once they reconnect the fireworks ignite again and so the chase begins...

"You're going to have to do more than dirty-talk me to get me to fall back into your arms."

Tyler decides he wants her and Christine tries to ignore the feelings she has for him, but it doesn't last. The love between these two is undeniable.

I'm super excited to pick up the next book in this series to find out who gets bitten by the love bug next.

Why only 3 stars?

First. I may have overestimated the risque factor of the book based on the cover. It just didn't deliver well in that front. Don't get me wrong, the characters do have undeniable chemistry but I just expected more.

Second. I'm all for "I love you, I just didn't know it then (then being 8 years)", I really am but you have to give more info on what happened in Mexico. I want to know more than the repetitive reminder of Tyler abandoning Christine after taking her virginity. There are hints of them talking somewhere before the incident, getting close or something like that but I want dialogues. I got some in the epilogue but that just aggravated me because it was only then I got a glimpse of their past. I wanted a clear view of their interaction 8 years prior because I refuse to believe that they fell for each other when Tyler comforted Christine then getting it on.

Third. The heroine. I didn't like her. I just got irritated every time she drudged up the past and I definitely did an eye-roll when she thought up that revenge scheme. tsktsktsk

Fourth & last. Predictable. When I read that she had a list to fulfill and then added "get back at Tyler" on it; I immediately knew how the inevitable argument would go about. Sometimes I hate being right.

Tyler and the side characters? Them I liked.

Tyler, the doctor who has a six-pack. Seriously who wouldn't love that? It didn't rub me right when he pertained to his work with Doctors with Borders as a thrill (as if it's an extreme sport), but to each his own.

The concept had potential, but sadly I found the delivery lacking.

**ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review by the girls and I at www.sizzlingpages.com **

This is the second book in the Wedding Dare Series - and it has Kady's brother, Tyler, and her best friend, Christine, meeting up again after not having seen each other for eight years.  The wedding party is all together for some pre-wedding festivities, so Christine knows she's bound to run into Tyler.  Dreading the reunion after how he left her all those years ago, she's bound and determined to not let him effect her.  She's going to concentrate on her "to-do" list - possibly adding a little bit of "Tyler revenge" to the end of it.

Tyler knows he messed up all those years ago.  Knows he shouldn't have ran, and just left her after their night together, but they were both so young.  He's had years to think of her, and now he knows what he wants, and that's Christine - and Dr. McBossy is going to get her....hopefully.

I have to give it to Christine, she is one tough cookie.  She tries to fight the feelings and emotions that Tyler arouses in her, but he is relentless.  She figures, she'll take the sex, but nothing more.  The problem is, this time he wants more.

As these two try to reconcile the past, sometimes breaking each others hearts along the way, I wondered how they were ever going to leave the past were it belonged.

I'm really enjoying this series, and looking forward to see how the rest of the wedding party of Kady and Colton hook up and find their own true loves.

3.5 Stars

I picked this book up as it was on sale and it sounded like my kind of read. "Falling for the Groomsman" got off to a promising start and I found myself enjoying what I was reading. The premise of the story was a good one and I was intrigued to know more. Tyler and Christine once upon a time had a one night stand together that they each found impossible to move on from. Skip a few years and now the pair were given a second chance after finding themselves in the same place at the same time. It seemed like fate was giving Tyler and Christine a little helping hand.

"All this time he’d been telling her he wasn’t looking for a relationship. And now?
He couldn’t think of anything but being in one with her.
Only her. She had to be his forever."

I liked how this story developed and the characters were also easy to root for, however there did come a time in the book when the constant push and pull between Tyler and Christine began to drive me a bit loopy. I really wanted to bang this couple's heads together in parts. I'm all for playing hard to get but you can only do it for so long before the reader becomes frustrated. I did think about giving up at one stage, however because I felt invested in Tyler and Christine, I decided to continue. I truly wanted to see this crazy pair work things out because when things were going well between them, they made a lovely team. I wanted Tyler and Christine to grab the second chance that they had been given and find their HEA.

"I didn’t want to want you so badly it hurt to breathe without you.
But that’s what I got.”

Christine and Tyler had sex when they were younger, but because Tyler didn't give Christine small kisses on her neck and shoulder and rub her stomach when they were done, she did not feel important. Now that she is older she has a list of things she wants to do and one is to get even with Tyler. That list starts some shit - good and bad. I liked this story. Tyler and Christine not only made up, but had some awesome sex. This was a good reads.

I really enjoyed this second chance love story. Tyler and Christine were well matched. Diane Alberts did a fantastic job of building the tension and attraction between them. Falling for the Groomsman is a great start for the Wedding Dare series. 4.5 stars

Christine is in need of a little fun and she has every intention of finding a hot groomsman for a week of hot sex at her best friend's destination wedding. The last thing she intends to do is get involved with Tyler, the man who took her virginity eight years ago and then broke her heart by leaving. It would be easier to avoid him if she didn't still find him attractive though and since he seems quite keen on reconnecting she decides now is her perfect chance to get her revenge. Tyler feels terrible for what happened between them when they were teenagers, he knew at the time that she was special but he was scared and ran before he got too involved. He wants to make it up to Christine and since the chemistry is still so good between them he is hoping to convince her to give him another chance. Can Christine get over her fear of Tyler leaving before she pushes him away forever?

I couldn't wait to read the Wedding Dare series, I'm a huge fan of all five authors involved and it's probably one of my most anticipated contemporary romance series of the summer. The prequel novella, Dare to Resist by Laura Kaye, sets the scene for the rest of the series and introduces us to the original couple Kady and Colton. Each of the following novels, written by Diane Alberts, Tessa Bailey, Katee Robert and Samanthe Beck, follow the same time line and take place at Kady and Colton's wedding. Each book features a different bridesmaid and sees the four of them daring each other to find a hot groomsman to have fun with for the duration of the wedding. Although the series doesn't have to be read in order I would recommend at least starting with the prequel novella before you go on to read the remaining stories in any order that takes your fancy. There is a crossover of characters and you'll see certain conversations between the friends from several different angles throughout the series and I've really enjoyed seeing how cleverly all of the books have been tied together.

Falling for the Groomsman by Diane Alberts is the second story in the series and it didn't disappoint. I always love second chance romances but I have to admit that I was a little worried about the revenge angle, I was nervous that it would make it hard for me to like Christine but I'm glad to say that wasn't the case. It was easy to understand where Christine was coming from and although she talks of getting revenge against Tyler it is very obvious to the reader that revenge is the last thing on her mind when she's actually spending time him. The chemistry between the couple is fantastic and I loved their witty banter and flirting. This story had everything I want from a contemporary romance - great characters, hot, steamy sex and lots of humour. It was a fun read and left me eager to continue reading the rest of the series so I could find out what happened between all the other couples.

I was intrigued by the concept of this Wedding Dare series, following the cast of a wedding party around as each couple has their story. After reading Kady and Colton’s story with the lead-in Dare to Resist, knowing that we were seeing their happy ever after begin as this series continued made it even more enticing. This time around it was Christine and Tyler’s moment in the spotlight, and I thoroughly enjoyed their story!

Talk about your awkward situations, Christine had to face her most humiliating and painful moment all over again thanks to a wedding that would throw her back in the face of “him”…Tyler Dresco. She had every reason to loathe him; nothing like taking a woman’s virginity when she’s at her most vulnerable and then making a run for it to put yourself in a bad light! He owed her an explanation and some serious begging for forgiveness to even deserve to speak to Christine, but he wasn’t about to let their past get in his way of getting more alone time with her. Thus began the fun and lust-filled push-and-pull that had them both debating what they really wanted from each other.
With dual POV, Tyler’s thoughts were all kinds of make-me-drool sexy, and he was conflicted about feeling such a strong connection to a woman when his career was always his priority. And Christine, she was drawn to Tyler like a stinkbug to an open window; she just couldn’t help herself despite how adamant she was in her mind that Tyler wasn’t a part of her future. She had a new and refreshing mindset, and it all came became so much less important with just one touch from the one man she couldn’t bear to get that close with.

The drama of Tyler and Christine’s past was the perfect tension as they got ‘reacquainted’, it made easing right back into things so much more complicated. They had great chemistry regardless, and the challenge just made their story more interesting to read. Sure, it was all kind of predictable in your typical romance story happily ever after, as I’m sure all of this series will be. But they’re also fun, sexy, and have characters that you root for, so it’s a thumbs up from me!

Quotes:

The second their mouths met, her soft lips trembling under his, everything felt right. Perfect. ~p. 19

She couldn’t help but watch, fascinated by how damn kissable his lips were. “I want to be friends, and more importantly? I want you in every possible way. I’m not talking about one time. I have a feeling once wouldn’t be enough for us.” ~p. 47

“You want me? Come and find me, Doc,” he said, his voice low and dangerous-sounding. “Well, I found you. Now I’m prepared to collect.”~p. 59

I'm going to start by saying I want a Tyler and I want him now. When you read this book you will understand. Writing like this is why Diane Alberts has become a favourite new author of mine.

I loved this book. Tyler and Christine were fun from the very first page till the last when I finished it with a big goofy grin and a giggle. They were meant to be together and it shows on every page.

Plus the sparks, whew. These two have some serious chemistry and have for a long time, it's just been building to this point.

" I know for a fact you enjoyed every single thing I did to you that night. Especially when I buried my head between those sweet legs of yours and made you scream my name so loudly you woke up the entire floor"

It was so much fun to watch them dance around their growing attraction while still being part of the wedding party. There is one memorable scene while out completing a scavenger hunt that is a favourite. Hot can not describe it.

There is so much to love about this story. We get to kick off the rest of the series, watch the bridesmaids plot their conquests (I loved this ) and get to meet all the future players form both sides of the wedding party. And boy do you what to meet those groomsmen.

But I also must mention that these characters have an interesting backstory too. It wasn't all falling into each other's arms and it's all good. There is a storyline there that you will be invested in too.

Diane Alberts has done an outstanding job of setting up the next three books, while giving us a book that had me hooked and kept me up reading way past my bedtime. You will finish the book while a smile and be ready to reach for the next instalment. Then when that's done, go grab her backlist and devour those too.
