I've had this book for over 10 years. I got it at some R.E.M. food event at the University of Georgia. It's signed and all. I just found it on my bookshelf. Great timing because I was looking for some good Southern recipes.

I love this man. I bought this book on Amazon after an Athens pilgrimage to see the sights of the greatest band in the history of the world. Had two meals at Weaver Ds and long conversations with Weaver D and his sister Tamara. Wonderful people and wonderful food. I enjoyed reading about his life and I will enjoy the challenge of recreating some of his recipes. That fried chicken was the best I ever had. The squash casserole was wonderful and the sweet potato souffle was heavenly. Thank you Weaver D!
