3.5 Healing Stars

Forever Sheltered by Deanna Roy is the third book in the forever series. Forever Sheltered can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the series from the beginning to fully grasp what is going on. Both characters were introduced in the previous novels but Deanna Roy does a great job summarizing what has lead them to this point so

My first book of Deanna Roy was Forever Innocent. And from the moment that I met Corabelle & Gavin I knew without a doubt that I was going to buy every single book that she decided to write. It was not just the story, which it was realistic, interesting and emotional; it was not just the characters, and yes, they were easy to relate with, sexy, and everything you could wish for; it was not just the writing style, and believe me, I DO pay attention to the grammar and like most people enjoy of ...more

Forever Sheltered is the third book in Deanna Roy's Forever series, but this book can be read as a standalone. I was a little worried going into this book after having read Forever Loved. I really enjoyed Forever Innocent but had been disappointed in Forever Loved, and honestly we didn't get to see much of Darion in Forever Loved but the little we did wasn't the best. I am so glad that read this story though, and I really liked both Darion and

There are times in life when the human language falls egregiously short of accurately and effectively communicating and describing what our heart feels and our soul is overflowing with, and within this story you will discover such a time. The way a heart heals and a life miraculously transforms cannot be measured in time, quality of experiences, or the gamut of emotions run. The moment in time when the ledge of safety is overrun and the wings of who we were born to be explode from our back and c ...more

I wanted to read this one because I loved Gavin and Corabelle's stories and we met Tina and Dr. Darion Marks in the previous books and I thought it would be great to read their stories. Although its a standalone, I am excited to get some updates from Gavin and Corabelle. Also, the romance was hot so I am expecting some of the same.

I connected with Tina right away. She is fiesty and doesn't put up with (perceived) nonsense or the attitude from Darion. She cares about the patients that come in

This is the third installment in the Forever series. It was emotionally gripping and poignant though it provided a sizzling hot romance. The story works as a standalone.

The story opens when mixed up, closed off and snarky hospital art therapist, Tina, is approached by the supposedly unapproachable Dr. Darien Marks to take extra time with one of his pediatric patients. Tina keeps a wall around herself, not letting the world in and her relations with the opposite sex are strictly ‘one and done’. O

Loved it

This may have been my favorite story in the series. It was a refreshing story of a couple who connected and got together and stayed together even though that wasn't the intention of one of the characters. Once they realized what they wanted there was no big parting of ways or breakup of any kind. They both had obstacles in their lives they were dealing with and they dealt with it together. You don't see that very often in romance stories. Great story!!!

3.5 for me.

This was enjoyable. I liked the relationship between Dr Darius and art therapist, Tina. It was sweet and lovely. The two of them needed each other to balance out the bad in their life.

I was scratching my head a little about why the Dr was interested in Tina in the first place since she was so opposite to him but still anything is possible!

Overall, a satisfying read.

Tina has been through a lot in 5 years. Losing a baby, a suicide attempt, and pushing men away after a one and done deal. After meeting Dr dorion whose has quite a few secrets of his own. Can she hopefully walk away from the one and done deal or does she feel like her past is holding her back??? Need to read. Cannot wait to read the next installment of this forever series.

This is book three in the Forever series. It is a stand-alone, but you’ll probably enjoy it more if you’ve read the first two books in the series. The relationships of all the characters are more significant if you’ve read the entire series so far. Forever Sheltered is a good solid 3-star read. It held my interest, but it wasn’t something I couldn’t put down.

A huge difference in this read than the previous two in the same series. I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved Darion and his love for his sister. It was sad to see her go through it all. His connection with Tina was so deserving and I was glad they could make it work.
I've been talking about this title for a couple of months now and originally reviewed Forever Sheltered for The Eclectic Reader @ http://teddyree-theeclecticreader.blo... yet I forgot to actually post it to my own social media sites. I guess better late than never.

First off, I know Forever Sheltered can be read as standalone but it really adds so much to the story if you've read the first two.

I really liked Tina when we met her in Forever Innocent, so I was thrilled she was getting her own HEA. Ms. Roy didn't disappoint. I loved the story she wove around Tina and Darion. It was compelling and sweet.

Wow! If you haven’t read the Forever Series by Deanna Roy then you need to put these books on your to be read list. Deanna Roy writes a powerful story that comes from the heart. Her stories are realistic, emotional, thought provoking, and romantic. Her characters come to life. Their story will jump off the pages and grab your heart. The writing is flawless. Her subject matter is very well researched. Not only do readers experience the emotions of the characters , they also get an insight into

If you’ve read the other two books in the series, you know that this author writes with all of her heart. Forever Sheltered is no exception.

Tina doesn’t do attachments. Not again. Not anymore. One and done is her motto. She spends her days as an art therapist at a hospital. When she meets the mysterious Dr. Darion Marks, she begins to second guess her rules. Darion. A doctor with a secret. Or two. He isn’t supposed to get involved with anyone. His time and efforts are dedicated to his sister. Bu

Wonderful – made me laugh, made me cry

Forever Sheltered is the third book in The Forever Series but it can be read as a standalone without any problem. You might get a bit more enjoyment out of it if you read the first two books before this one (they are great books) but you won’t be lost if you don’t.

I love books that make me feel things and this one certainly did that. The story is told from alternating POVs which was perfect for this story. Tina has had a difficult life but she has persevered

Forever Sheltered is the 3rd book in the Forever series by Deanna Roy and while it *can* be read alone, I personally recommend reading the first two books first. Part of that is because you’d miss out on some really amazing books if you didn’t read them, but it’s also because the first 2 books give us more background info on Tina so you already have an idea of the things she’s dealt with that make her character who she is before starting Forever Sheltered.

This book wasn’t quite as emotional to

I liked the first two books in this series so I was excited to know that there was more to come. In this installment, the main characters are Tina and Dr. Darion Marks. We met them in the previous books so I was intrigued to see what their story would be about. Tina was one feisty girl. Because of her past, she shelters herself in a way so that she can not get hurt again. Darion, on the other hand, is focused on helping the one person that is important to him. The chemistry between Dari

I wasn't sure what I was expecting from Tina... but I don't think it was this.
I think I liked her from the beginning... she seemed so confident on the outside and then the more I got to know her, the more I realized how broken she was.
Darion comes in to the picture and before I knew his story... I kind of didn't like him.
He stands Tina up and speaks to her with a mild attitude. Anyway.... I kept reading and guess what? I friggin like him and really I like everything about him. I like how he wa

I liked the introduction and story from Corbelle and Gavin but I really really liked this one.
But why?
The author didn't throw the " I know it all and eat my jargon " or lack of informations or wrong informations. None of that.
It felt right from the medical sense to human being/feeling.
It was a journey of discovery or more stepping up, changing our view.
Here we got Tina with a luggage, teen pregnancy, rebel teenager, mom for the eternity for a 3 hours newborn, suicide (her case was explained).

This is the third book in the Forever Series by Deanna Roy and I must say that it is beautifully written. This book took me back to the emotions I felt when reading Forever Innocent. I loved how we got to read both Tina and Darion’s perspective. I also enjoyed finding out pretty early on what Dr. Marks was hiding. I thought that was nice change not having to wait till the end. It just helped me understand his actions that much more. I absolutely loved the secondary characters especially Cynthia ...more

Tina keeps herself from being involved with anyone, she won't let herself be emotionally attached to a guy. But then we have Darion the doctor with the secrets. But he touched Tina so much that she starts to have deep feelings for the Doc. But Darion has to so much going on in his life, he has a patient that is so close to his heart and she is gravely ill. Wow, I thought this book was amazing. I loved everything about this book, from the characters, storyline, and the backstories. There was enough drama, steam and romance to keep the readers wanting more. I loved the connection between Tina and Darion, I loved that I got the alternating point of views for both of them. They both were unique in their own way. I loved that amount of love and sacrifice that Darion had went through for his sister. This book was funny at times were I laughed out loud. ...more

I am addicted to this series! After reading the first and second book I could not wait to get to know Tina better! She had a sad past just like Corabelle and she definitely needs an HEA! She gets a job at a hospital for art therapy. She helps patients but they also help her in so many ways. She gets close to some of her patients and she starts to realize maybe there is more to life than just to be closed off. Tina considers herself a "one and done" kind of girl when it comes to men so she doesn' ...more

I have been a HUGE fan of The Forever Series from the first time I looked into it. And for anyone invested in this series you know the tears that have been shed with the first two books in this series! This book however turned a page in the series. Forever sheltered is a very beautifully written story about coping with lose and severe illness. Ms. Roy has once again taken a very difficult subject and written a profoundly enlightening and entertaining tale. Her characters felt like real people and they were dealing with real problems. The problems represented are a very touchy area for a lot of people and they were presented with consideration, compassion and honesty. I have to say this is one of the most gripping stories I have read in a very long time! It brought the all the people to life for me. I carried my Kindle around with me snatching even just 2 mins to the story as I cooked, cleaned and went about my day.

I was annoyed for the first half of this book. It was slow, the main characters, Tina and Darion were so caught up in themselves and their misery they were too blind to see what was in front of them. It took me almost a week to get the "meat" of the story. The second half I finished in just a few hours. I feel bad for Tina and Darion, their demons were different but no less nasty than the other. They managed to work through them with each other. He showed her what real love is and she women him ...more
