Received this book for my Wilderness First Responder training course through Wilderness Medicine of Utah. In the past they've used a MUCH better book, Wilderness First Responder (Buck Tilton), published by NOLS/WMI. I'm sure they wanted to have one from their own organization for multiple reasons, but this one is so poorly written, organized and full of so many typos it was ridiculous. Let alone misspellings, it had different numbers listed for normal BP via where you found the pulse depending which page you read. And forget trying to find things via the index in the back.
However, it's definitely a quicker read, as you want to skim through all the bullet points (the basic format of this book). They also give you test "cases" each chapter, but never actually follow up with a definite answer. If you want a book like this, go for the NOLS/WMI version.
