4 - "This is trouble..." "...Big time." Stars!

I can honestly say I have never read a series like this one, in that l cannot think of any other books or stories where a large chunk of the plot actually plays out while people are asleep and dreaming…

Erin Kellison has certainly hit pay-dirt with this one, because as a reader I literally have no clue where her imagination is going to take mine next, and for a reader I think that’s such a good kind of rush.

Her predicament was the most fun he’d had

"Dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before", Lay Me Down picks up where Darkness Falls (book #1 of the REVELERS series) leaves off and takes us on the journey of our 2nd power couple of the series, Steve and Maisie.

Where Darkness Falls set the stage with explaining the Reves, introducing the characters, setting the groundwork for some of the rules, and showing us the

Disclosure: I got this book as an ARC from Netgalley, that however doesn't change the fact I was dying to read it after reading the first one and literally jumped on the chance to review it in order to get to see it early.

Maisie Lane thought she had everything figured out she was well on her way to her dream on her own terms. Until, the shady people she was working with went after her sister. Now Maisie is hesitantly cooperating with Steve Coll from Chimera, the police of dreams. In a world

Ready for a ride into your darkest dreams? Lay Me Down fast tracks us into the ultimate fantasy, our very dreams. Erin Kellison shows how truly unique she is with her Reveler Series. In book two we discover that sometimes our waking dreams is where the real nightmares are.

In Lay Me Down Ms. Ellison takes us deeper into reality. Two individuals who live better in dreamscape have to work together in reality to find the man behind the evil.

This is the second book in the Reveler series and certainly takes the story up a notch. This follows on from Darkness Falls but this time the action is centred around Maisie and Steve Coll. Maisie has been acting as an illegal courier in the dreamscape known as Reve but it's all gone bad and now she's in danger but struggles to let anyone close. Enter Steve Coll agent for Chimera and a man with so many secrets that to truly know him is to fear him. He's determined that the annoying and tempting ...more

This series must be read in order. The first book is Darkness Falls: Reveler Series 1. This is the second book.

Maisie is a wild child free spirit so no way is she just going to quietly roll over and give in to the uptight Chimera agent Steve just because Jordan wants her to. Maze has a plan and it does not include being part of the dream police or a know it all babysitter... That may be fine for Jordan but Maze is not buying it for herself.

Not many series are this original. I never really

I loved this follow up to Darkness Falls. Maisie is quite the character. I love the interactions between her and Steve. They are funny, and then they get steamy (yum). I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment

I enjoyed this book. Wished this book was a little longer. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
Continuing the story from where the first left off, we get more of Maisie & Coll. Maisie loves to reve. Loves might just be not enough of a word for what she likes about the dreaming world. She's got a special talent and she's been squirreling away secrets, money, and her talent. When Coll discovers what she's been hiding he's worried. They already know something is going on inside the world of dreamers, as well as, the Chimera. These two need to learn to get along so they can solve the ever ...more

Again, I couldn’t put this down and was left salivating for the next book. Erin Kellisons’ writing style and imagination are unique and captivating. Mazie Lane wants to be independent and uses her talents darkside to achieve her goals, even if it is a little bit illegal. Special Agent Steve Coll is trying to recruit Mazie for the organization that polices shared dreaming. Sparks fly when they come together. The villain(s) are dastardly and not revealed until the end creating edge of your seat ...more

At first I really disliked the MCs - they both seemed to be selfish and out for only themselves. However, as the story unfolded the Maise and College became less cardboard and more real - their flaws and strengths exposed, they became complex and interesting. Always glad when a story takes me by surprise.

Another great book in the Reveler series! I do wish these books were a little longer, at only a little over 100 pages it the story does go by rather quickly, but there aren't any dull moments either. Lay me Down focused on two characters that we met in the first book, Maisie (Jordan's wild sister), and the ultimate Chimera recruiter, Coll (aka Steeeeeeve). Maze is definitely an interesting character, she's her own person, and believes that most rules were made for breaking. She pretty much

Lay Me Down picks up right where Darkness Falls left off—with Steve Coll taking Maisey Lane to Vegas to deal with a criminal element exploiting her, and the Reve for some clandestine, nefarious purposes.

I’ll be honest, Maisey annoyed the hell out of me in the first book, I wasn’t expecting to like or relate to her much at all… it took a while but eventually I started wanting to choke her less and stopped rolling my eyes at her little internal rants. She

Erin Kellison's Lay Me Down is the second installment in her Reveler novella series and it was just as amazing as the first one! Moving forward with characters we've previously met, Maisie and Steve take the spotlight in this one as the two try to figure out what's going on with the "bad guys" who had hired Maisie to make her deliveries in the past.

This is book number 2 of the Reveler Series, Maisie, younger sister of Jordan and Steve Coll, who is Malcolm boss and mentor. Steve is a full time recruiter for Chimera, a group that monitors and polices the Dreamwaters against people that would use it for corrupt, illegal and dangerous means. As a recruiter they are also always on the lookout for new people that have the ability to become part of their organization. Those
Second book in the Reveler Series. I normally don't go for the wild, rebel child because they tend to be too selfish and too self-consumed and I never warm up to them. But Maze (Maisie), our heroine here is different. She is vulnerable as well as she's passionate. And our hero, Steven Coll, not sure if he's an very reserved Alpha or a Beta with Alpha tendencies but oh, man! he's become one of my favorites BB. He's quiet as he's funny, he's controlling as he has a cool demeanor, he's got a ...more

Lay Me Down picks up right after the end of Darkness Falls. It centers around our resident wild child Maisie “Maze” Lane and her protector/jailer Steve Coll. Maisie has gotten herself into a bind with some very bad people by acting as an illegal courier in the dreamscape. Steve is determined to free Maze from their evil grasps and convert her rare talents to the Chimera. This second book in Kellison's "Reveler" series follows Maisie (Jordan's sister - yes the one who got her tangled up in all the hell she went through originally) and Steve (Rook's boss who yes is the one who set Rook after Jordan originally) as they try to figure out a way to survive the insanity that is enveloping their lives. Something Steve is very used to handling and Maisie is very good at creating.

Kellison doesn't waste much time on the development--a lot of that happened in the first book

I got into this series because of Darkness Falls in Dark and Deadly: Eight Bad Boys of Paranormal Romance, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Maise has been working in the illegal side of Reve as a courier in an attempt to earn enough money to start her own business. Steve is the head of Chimera, an organization attempting to police the Reve.

What is the Reve? It is dreamscapes-personal and

Lay Me Down features Maisie – Jordan’s little sister from Darkness Falls. Remember her? She dragged Jordan to her first Rêve, got in trouble and was rescued by Agent Rook. It was obvious to everyone that this was not Maisie’s first Rêve and that she had some major talent. Where Agent Rook got to work with Jordan, Maisie got handed off to his boss, Special Agent Steven Coll.

As I mentioned, this series needs to be read in order. A good deal of what the Rêve – dream world – is all about is told in

When I read book 1 in this series, I remember LOVING the world but wanting more closure on the relationship. Well, wait. Not closure, exactly. I wanted more, umm, time spent with Jordan and Rook after they'd finally realized they were meant for one another.

I'm still loving the world -- the idea of shared dreaming opens up so many intriguing possibilities for future books -- and I didn't feel that this book ended as abruptly. In other words, total win!

Well, as I speculated at the end of my review of book one, Darkness Falls, the characters in book two benefited enormously from having been given a 100 page head start in book one. Maisie and Steve don't require nearly as much time to rev up their motors - only about 20% of the book, rather than 68%, as in book one. The plot is better constructed, too, and things make a bit more sense in the second installment of this series. Book three is planned for June of 2014, and my guess is that it will ...more

First -- if you haven't read Book #1 in this series, go back and do so. These books pick up *immediately* where the previous one left off and would leave you in the dust. Second -- I might have even loved this one more than the first! This world just keeps getting more and more impressive with its depth. The characters, too, just keep getting more fully developed with each installment.

I looked forward to entering this series again because the basis of it is so intriguing. Having encountered Maisie earlier, in this one you get to see her more and up close. She comes across as a sassy kind of girl but she is not stupid. Now with her sister partnered with someone in Chimera she is faced with some serious decisions of her own. Two sides want her but she has more talent than many can imagine quite yet. She also discovers something very disturbing she has been involved in right ...more
