My name is Tamsin Vale and I’m about to get married. Wow, I never thought I’d ever really say that. Seriously. And apparently, I’m not allowed to elope, so there will be a wedding that keeps growing in size no matter how many times I yell or threaten people. I swear, if something goes wrong, this will be the only one I have, and there will be some men who will angrily lay the smack down. I’m also on my last semester at Artemis University. Graduation is around the corner, and I’m half amazed and half shocked I actually made it and didn’t bail on the crazy place. It’s been almost six years of too much insanity and not enough time to get everything done that I really wanted to. But isn’t that true for all of us even if it’s not school? There’s just so much to do besides the wedding. I have an “uncle” to handle. Finish waking all of the fairies. A government to complete setting up so I can become queen. And all of this while spending as much time as possible with my dad before I lose him. Stress? What stress?
Artemis University is an ongoing, hot burning reverse harem, university-age paranormal academy series with darker elements, strong language, violence, and a heroine who follows her own moral compass of what is right… And who she ends up giving her heart to.
*This book is part of a series and cannot be read as a standalone. Like all my books, this is not light and fluffy and includes dark themes and events some may find triggering. Reader discretion is advised.
Erin is a born Chicagoan who decided to state hop a bit, given she works from home. She currently resides in Georgia with her pup, Lord Vader Flynn. With an eclectic and addictive personality, there isn’t much that doesn’t interest her or she won’t pour herself into if it catches her fancy. She has always been interested in the darker aspects of life and mythologies—especially vampires, shifters, the occult, and anything paranormal.
To date, she has published more paranormal books than she can keep up with the characters for, in different genres with dedicated readers who await each release to her numerous series under any of the three Flynn names she writes.
I have no idea how we got straight into a wedding in this book and so much important stuff happens off page … like why did Tamsin decide to not hear what Ronald said and by default neither do we. Some aspects were gorgeous like the unicorns and the new powers for healing but I’ll be happy when I can finally stop reading this series
This FMC is the touchiest, most sensitive cry baby I've ever read about. Granted, I did read the other books. Trying to live it. But this girl always brings up the past like she can't ever let it do. And instead of being honest about what she's feeling in that moment, she runs off and basically cries. And these guys coddle her so bad. I hate it. I mean what in the preschool crap is this? This is NOT how adults handle issues. I want to finish this book but I'm too disappointed and I'm barely at chapter 2 or 3!!!!!
Please note the following review encompasses books 20 through 26 of the SERIES. As each book depends on the prior books, I am not reviewing each individually to cut down on repetition. Following this review, I will be one final review of my reading experience throughout all 26 books.
As always, I will endeavor to minimize spoilers, but please read at your own risk.
Ok, it's been 19 books, and I haven't really touched on the totally delicious guys in this series. Mostly, because I wasn't sure who was staying and who was going. Because believe you me, Tamsin has her choice of treats. But I want to talk boys for a bit.
Let's start with our dragon. Hudson is a dragon prince, and his dragon, River, is as sweet as pie. Both love Tamsin wholeheartedly, but Hudson needs to learn when and how to pull his head out of that place the sun doesn't shine. He makes more than his fair share of mistakes, but unlike real life, there is almost always a redemption opportunity. I was thrilled he took it.
Next, there's the sexy warlock professor, Julian Craftsman. He is quite literally too smart for his own good. I was ready to throw the towel in and look for a replacement, but, like Hudson, he pulled off a miracle to get the girl. As much as this man frustrated me, he still managed to make me swoon. This man is Fine with a capital F, and the support he ends up providing for Tamsin would not have worked so well for anyone else.
This is the one y'all are looking forward to. Our geeky vampire tutor turned attorney. Most notably, he is the only one of Tamsin's mates that she purposely chose. Everyone else is a fated mate, but she loved Darby enough to tell Fate and the gods to F off. Darby is far from perfect, but he is the normal in her world that's spinning wildly out of control, and let's face it, it's impossible to not find him loveable. He brings a lot of baggage though, and it is incredible to watch him work through it all.
Lucca's relationship started with a ... lie of omission? Not a purposeful misrepresentation, but it still set their relationship back. Truthfully, I didn't expect him to make the final cut, but Lucca worked his butt off to fix his mistakes, to learn and grow from them, and unlike the rest, he doesn't make the same mistake twice. And Harry, his bear, is just too adorable.
And this leaves us with Neldor Donovan, Prince of Dark Fairies, aka Prince of Darkness. When first introduced to Neldor, I knew he was going to be vital to the plot, but I wanted him to die in a fire regardless. He was just flat out mean to Tamsin, but as the story progressed, his character made subtle changes to his attitude and behavior, and I realized that I like the guy. For all of his faults, he ends up adoring Tamsin, and more than any of the other relationships, this one left me with warm fuzzies.
Expect my final review of the overall, full series in a few days.
However, as always, Iwant to leave a content warning of sorts because mental health matters. Contained in the story so far, you will find racism, classism, prejudice and past trauma (physically, emotionally, and smexually.) There are also forced abductions, bullying outside of the harem, references to ongoing trafficking, violence, attempted forced mating and SA, intimate partner abuse, family disconnect and related trauma from both sides, and discussion of forced breeding. Characters have ongoing mental health issues, including anxiety, panic attacks, depression, fear of abandonment, grief & loss, self-worth issues, and suicidal ideation. Please know your limits and read responsibly.
Wow, the penultimate book in the series! I know that after reading the next one I’ll set aside time to read them all back to back. I deliberately waited to read this so that I could read this and the last book back to back. The author deserves all of the praise for writing so well and so much on the subject of abuse. Everyone is affected by abuse, everyone knows someone who has been abused. You might not know that someone has been abused because it’s a crime that often stays hidden. Anyone can be a survivor of abuse, whilst it’s true that the majority of abuse is carried out against women and girls, it can and does happen to men and boys too.
Much like the entire series this book is flipping awesome! I know that some readers have grumbled about overt feminism. I don’t agree primarily because misogyny is so deeply ingrained into everyday life that it’s become normalised. Most women ignore it on top of that I think that a lot of people regardless of sex don’t even recognise things as misogynistic because it’s so widespread and yes ‘normalised’.
The only thing that occasionally got to me about the series is that Tams never seemed to be able to catch a break. That said I expect a lot of people would have found the story too dull without all of the drama.
So on this book specifically, why yes, yes that is a wedding dress on the cover. The book starts on a massive opening before backtracking to events leading up to it. Trust me you don’t want to miss out.
This was a work of art. I'm sitting here just bawling my eyes out, but in such a good way. I know we are getting to the end of the series and I really enjoy how Erin is wrapping up all of the little strings that can be forgotten along the way. She remembers it all and it just brings so much more to the story. This is one of my favorite series and I recommend it often. I hope, if you haven't read this series please trust me that it's definitely worth the read. I'm so excited for the last book to see where everything goes. I am also looking forward to whatever Erin writes next .
... I don't even know what to type in these anymore. The unicorn gave birth to surprise twins (who can think with whole words and communicate telepathically with the fmc). The bear's dad finally got told off. The uncle guy was a disappointment of a villain and was easily wiped off - like, most of it was off the page. More men drama bc men. Dad is a headcase. The main thing my head is sticking on (apart from still wondering why this series was stretched) is the whole pre-period sex frenzy thing Tamlin keeps going through. Why? Why was that needed? It's not even consistent... 1.5 stars, will never ever ever read again. Can't wait to finish the next and be free.

This series has been outstanding. I have eagerly awaited the next book in this series. It has been a journey with Tamsin from discovering she was the last fairy, to meeting Craftsman, Hudson, Luca and Darby. To waking Neldor and the rest of the fairies. Meeting Luke from the underground, I really liked him and was really sad when he died. Dealing with the corrupt ancients, taking down the councils and finally the Underground. I could go on talking about this series, which is so engaging and well written. Thank you for sharing Tamsin story with us.
This has been an amazing series and I’m looking forward to the next book. I am sorry it’s the last, but I know that Tasmin and her mates need there H.E.A. Erin R Flynn has written a wonderful series with ups and downs as well as twist and turns. I love Tasmin and her journey has been fun, sexy, dramatic and so amazing I’m sorry it’s ending but that’s okay it just gives me a chance to read Erin’s other stories. Thank you Erin, you have a great way of writing that makes it fun to read and to look what comes next.
Its the 25th book.and I am so attached to these characters. I cried three times while reading this! My chest is still heavy. "The trials of Tamsin;" I'm renaming this one. Such a great addition to the story. I realize we are so close to the end and I could cry again. I don't want these books to ever end. It will be like losing a best friend. I'm not emotionally stable enough to handle this. You have to read these with me!
I don’t normally leave reviews but I’m so happy with this book. I love Tams character growth. She knows what she can and can’t handle in the present and future. I’m glad things finally came to head with Luca’s family issues. And we got all the sexy time with Neldor! A lot of ups and downs. I cried quite a bit. Happy unicorn tears and sad/loving tears for Elora.
Finally the uncle got what was coming to him. This is the longest story than the series. I am so sad it is coming closer to the end but in a way I am glad because I don’t want to read a book without her dad. Neldor is getting closer to her. It seems to me that the guys are learning how to deal with her. I am also glad we see that Lucas dad is getting what’s coming to him what a jerk. I cannot and then I can wait for the final book.
This series is very dear to my heart. I love Tamsin and seeing how far she has come .. 😍 The focus on this installment really is the relationships and a preparation for the finale. I loved my time reading. One star reduction just because I wish we spend more time resolving the main external issue and it was harder (trying to be really vague is hard) Felt a bit anticlimactic for me.
I am excited for the last book coming out in December and preordered it already
I so enjoyed this book. Finding that the next one is the final of the series is saddening. I will miss this series. Every time a book was released I immediately put whatever I was reading on hold and immediately began reading it. And would check weekly to see if a new one was out. Because they seemed to release with no warning. And I was very upset if it had been out for days or longer because I'm so addicted to this story.
This series continues to grip me at book 25. I honestly think I can read more than a few and still be entertained. I’m on the fence regarding the wedding, if it’s the only one we readers are getting, I wish there was more. Yes I know that I want more everything, but I want to see her marry each and every single one of her mates. I’m not ready to lose her father. They need a portrait together to remember by. Now I am all emotional. Long live Queen Tamsin!
I’m so so happy to see things finally going in Tamsin’s way, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. This is probably my all time favorite series, because no matter how bad of a book rut I am in I ALWAYS am sucked into this story so much so I always devour the books lol the series has everything love, battles, snark, laughing, crying, just all the feels and DEFINITELY a must read.
Each book gets better and better. The characters grow the world builds. The series is about to come to an end and so far I love how this is tieing up storylines. It's honestly like watching a group of your own friends mature and come into their own. If you need a series I highly recommend this one.
This was another great read and I’m not ready for this series to end with the next book how ever I know all good things come to an end Thank Erin R Flynn for a truly amazing read I 100% recommend this whole series it’s one of my top 5 series ever and I hope more readers find you’re books as wonderful as I do 🤟🏽🩶
As the end of Tamsin Vale’s epic story draws near we experience the final experiences necessary for her to endure before she has to become queen. Relationships are finally settling and final threats are being eliminated. But the way the author maneuvers the plot in this book made it no surprise that the book following this will probably be the last.
I love this series, and I'm so excited to see how it all works out. This book tied up a lot of loose ends and was written in Erin R Flynn's usual heart-wrenching style. I'm going to be so sad when the series is over, but im excited about her newest one. I also hope we get more Karma Bakery and House of Garner, they're my faves.
This book was very emotional, all the feels, and heartbreaking in parts. That ending was a tear-jerker and one hell of a surprise. Erin R Flynn has exceeded all expectations for this book. She blew my mind with a fantastic storyline and loveable characters. Eagerly awaiting and anticipating the next book in the series.
I came across this series quite accidently and thought it was worth the red. It was well written with lots of action and enough suspense to keep reading and looking for the next one. Thanks for the entertaining hours spent and I will look forward to your writing in another.
I love the overall plot of this series and am both excited and loathing that it is coming to a close with the next book. I have recommended the series to others and even got my sister hook, lol! Of all the wonderful stories that Erin has written, this one and House of Garner are my favorites.
Well that hit a nerve or two. But now it’s almost over. That we all know will be even more brutal because we will all shed many tears I’m sure. It’s always great to see our friends grow and strengthen their bonds but it’s also great to see that no one is perfect either.
This was a good read. The way the characters have grown and are trying open communication with each other is good. Hudson is still my favorite and Jullian has come a long way
Wow another fantastic book by Erin Flynn, brilliant characters and wonderful storyline. Really looking forward to the next excellent book. Gary Challenger from Devon UK.
My gosh what an emotional roller coaster I was not ready for that and I'm both counting down the days and praying it doesn't come for the last book This series has been incredible and every installment just adds to the amazing journey and tough choices made
This was honestly one of the best of the series and there was so much packed in! I’ll be sad for the series to end and probably will bawl my eyes out with the next book, but it’s still nice to see many things resolving and wrapping up. Well done!
I am so happy Erin doesn’t leave us hanging too long with the fast book releases. Everything in the series is starting to come to a close. It was another great book and I am glad she doesn’t do filler chapter. I love her style of writing.
Honestly it was a rollercoaster of emotions and events. But that’s just tams fucking life bless her. I’m glad she on firmer footing here. As we are nearing the end I need to know baby girl is alright.
