I'm not a huge fan of Harlequin category romances, but I am a fan of Toni Blake's, who is IMO a greatly under-appreciated romance author. I see hints of the writer she will become in this book. The depth of emotion is here as it is in her later books, even if the story circumstances are typically HQ. If you're going to read the category books, Toni Blake's are good ones to read.

T825 Apr2001 Summer Avery had to give up her dream of fashion design to care for her mother and then her father. She meets Brett Ford and their one night together results in a pregnancy. Brett wants to marry her and be a father. He is persistent and she slowly realizes that he does love her and she loves him. The hitch is when she discovers his dream has been given up because of her pregnancy.
