Can one would-be villainess fend off multiple handsome suitors’ advances to simply live a peaceful life? Or will the game force a happy ending no matter what?
Light conversation at the Wisterias’ gorgeous banquet takes a turn when Saphir tells the tale of a certain fateful deal, exposing a connection Luciana never knew existed. Her role in the story may be way more than she ever bargained for! Then the link between third-born Louis and the mysterious fate of the fourth Wisteria brother comes to light...
To protect the people she cares about, Luciana’s only choice is to confront the Evil Star of the East!
And LOL, our MC h has some Yg milk shake, bringing ALL the boys to her yard. Poor Luka, he’s got a tough row to hoe. She’s oblivious, because of course she is, but she has other things to focus on, like saving her brother. (STILL not convinced he is her blood brother, he is doting to the point of siscon and EVERY cover has him being posed almost like a love interest. Just sayin.)
What is UP with the Evil East Star? She just LOVES stealing everyone’s powers. So frustrating that they give the powers up so readily. And why did she kidnap Saphir?!?
5, why isn’t the next volume out yet I need answers, stars!

After reading the previous volume, I wanted to throw my book against a wall because HOW DARE IT END THERE ON THAT CLIFFHANGER, but with this volume, I found myself wiping away tears because of how deeply emotional the ending was.
Bravo to the writer because I completely forgot how fantastic the storytelling is!
I mean, yes, Luciana, is incredibly dense (I say that lovingly LOL), but the way so many things came to light in this volume had me on the edge of my seat! I'm not even sure all of what I can say because of how deep into spoilers it is, BUT!
One thing I can say is that the Black Lily SHINED!! I was pleasantly giddy with all the scenes he had, as he had so many soft smiles for Luciana!
On the other hand, Commander Joshua is getting some dagger-eyed looks from me because how DARE he try to suggest they SHARE Luciana?! EXCUSE ME!! I don't care how handsome you look and how many moments you had of that handsomeness looking very nice on page, YOU WILL NOT HAVE LUCIANA!!
Meanwhile, I was not prepared for Louis to capture my heart and really felt myself struggling as a result. LOL! Though don't worry, because I am still very strong #TeamBlackLily, but should Louis be endgame, I will not be mad. Just saying…
Romance shenanigans aside, this had a backstory that was so very heartbreaking, and I'm honestly not sure what is going to happen moving forward. I feel that Luciana should have some kind of OP ability that will help everyone live freely and happily, but I believe, as one character said about an entirely different matter, it is going to come at a cost.
All I can do is hope it won't be an overly grave cost…
Bit of a disconnect on this one. Almost completely forgot about it. When I woke up with it on my kindle it was what the heck is this. Double shock when I realised it was a manga. Must've been a while ago pre-order, since I gravitate to manwha these days. Anyways, it clicked when they met Conrad. The consequences of making deals with the east witch, the FMC being the mage of Yg, the truth about Conrad/Daryl. Series needs a re-read to be appreciated.

I came for the romance, but where is the romance xD
This does give you reverse harem in spades, but I'm not wholly intrigued or compelled by this East Star shenanigans. I might just call it quits with volume 5, we'll see.
RECAP: Louis has a twin, flashback, Connie is Daryl, onward to more things.
It's....really weak in plot. I don't understand why the Wisteria family would let the enchanter in each generation run rampant to the point that apparently Daryl "stole" all of his mother's love for himself while she was pregnant and she "ripped" Louis out of her womb at 7 months as a result. WTF? How did she even know which baby was the correct one?? Did she show love for her older sons before that? What happened to the duchess after Daryl disappeared/died? If enchantment is such a powerful magic, then they should be teaching him to use the power responsibly instead of ending up in such a stupid tragedy. Why can't he un-enchant her now that he knows what happened? It also never explained why all his organs failed at 6 years old, but whatever. I was under the impression that they were sure he died, but it sounds like he transformed instead, and weirdly is Conrad as well as Daryl, depending on who's looking at him. He spoke in a super creepy way about Lakas too, and the Star of the East basically owns his magic (convenient how she keeps popping up right on time to save people with strong magic she can borrow).
The pacing is uneven and the story is all over the place. The kidnapping of Saphir was so...non-eventful. Luciana sees it happening, and tries to rush out, but Joshua just hugs her to calm her down and doesn't seem concerned at all. I don't even know what's going on at this point.

Such a good read, but I hate how long a new volume takes to come out because what are those cliffhangers??!!! I need the next volume asap and it doesn't come out til jan 2026 *sobs* . I'm not really sure where the romance is going because if you know you know and why does it seem they are pushing it in one direction that doesn't make sense. Nonetheless I will continue this series, because I actually really l0ve the FMC and the way the world and magic are building. the art is absolutely stunning as well. I would also love to get the light novels for this series because there's so much going on and I feel at times you need a cheat sheet or something to keep things all squared away and remembered in your head especially with the lengthy publishing time gaps, but other than that a pretty solid read and I have so much fun reading this series.

We learn a lot about Saphir and Louis in this volume, especially in connection with the East Star and Daryl. This leads to further connections with the charm Luciana is under and how she came to find the purple animal that she now recognizes as Conrad. Lakas also has some competition now as Joshua claims Luciana is equally important to him now as she is to Lakas. After seeing Saphir taken away by the East Star, it seems things may be in motion even more than they originally realized as they rush to save their friend while still trying to connect the pieces to protect Luciana and her identity. Surprisingly, the only one not to go along on their rushed quest is the eldest Wisteria brother, though this seems to be more due to an inability of his brothers to wake him than not wanting to be part of the action.

It was okay. I would call this one more of an info dump volume...not much happened but you finally get some information on past events and people that helps bring clarity to everything that has happened so far. The plot, however, only moves forward a minutia amount. So, What's up with Saphir, we now know. What's up with Conrad/not-Conrad, we now know. Did the plot move forward more than a few tiny steps from book 4, not really.
And now we wait till volume 5 to get some plot movement. Sigh.
This series keeps on getting more interesting. Sure, there is still an element of romance, but it’s much more about intriguing powers, possibly evil god-like figures manipulating people, magical beasts being reincarnation of dead loved ones and the possible role and power of the main character still a mystery to her. As with several other isekai mangas, I am not convinced of the necessity of the isekai format.
