Some of the best books are written for children. Some of my favourite books are among those classed as children's books. It has been a while since I read a children's book, so I thought I would read the oddly titled Beau Garnie and the Invisimin Mine by Jacqueline Beard. One of the main things I liked about her book is that it seemed clear to me that she enjoyed writing it, which is a good thing for a reader to note. This was a delightful story and a really interesting world the author Jacqueline has created with her son! I can really imagine them both walking through fields, having fun exploring and creating this new, exciting little universe of every day creatures, living alongside fairy tale creatures.

Filled With Imaginative Characters

The author has come up with some truly imaginative fantasy beings, namely the Seeblings. Seedlings are special because they need Invisimin to survive. The Seeblings are of different tribes and each tribe has a color. The author has also given one Seebling the special gift of being able to talk to animals.

This book would be good for middle grade students, though younger children could enjoy it as well, especially if it were read to them. The cover is
