This just might be the most imaginative alphabet book I've ever seen. Kids are going to love the whimsical drawings, and the alliterations provide a rhythm to the text that will draw them into the story. The kids aren't likely to know many of the words used in here, and their parents may not know some them as well, but that will just provide opportunities to stretch their vocabularies. If the readers don't find at least one of these alliterations laugh-out-loud funny, then they probably need to ...more

This isn't your average A - Z picture book with its usual cast of farm animals (and a xylophone). The pictures are lovingly drawn/painted/created using a sumptuous pallet of colours by the author/illustrator who has then treated them to an excellent alliterative array of verse which is guaranteed to stretch baby (& parent's) vocabulary.

I really love this book with its cast of oddball creatures (an undulating unicorn, a maverick millipede and a yodelling yaffle for example) that I'd recommend it
Simply splendiferous! I love everything about it, from the bright yellow cover to the fact it was printed right here in Charleston! As to the tasty tidbits in between, wowza! Don't ask me to pick my favorite drawing, the other 25 favorites might have their feelings hurt.

That the author is a incredibly treasured friend makes no difference. This book is fun, funny, creative, and oh so clever. So happy our book loves brought us together to collide in the wondrous BookCrossing universe. Who'da thunk

An absolutely hilarious ABC book. My five-year-old twin boys adored it...there was quite a bit of giggling and a few gaffaws. The alliteration was fun and a bit challenging. The illustrations are lovely...each quite unique. I don't think I've ever had this much fun reading an alphabet book to my boys. ...more

I just adore this book - it makes me giggle every time I open it. The ingenious alliterations match wonderfully with the quirky illustrations. Who could fail to love a winking warthog, a tap-dancing toucan and a maverick millipede?

A friend had a copy of this book and passed it around the book group meeting where it was a hit. Spectacular fun reading! I could not decide which critter I loved more, the Ibis inking illustrations on the insect or the professional plumber python plunging a potty. And the falcon frying fish -- with salt shaker in hand, er, talon -- was pretty fabulous too! I may have to pick up a few copies of this for some little ones I know.

This is so cute! I'm going to order copies for my 2 youngest nephews.

Funny, alliterative, new vocabulary words, and gorgeous illustrations. This is possibly the coolest alphabet book I've ever seen.

disclaimer: I am internet friends with the author but that in no way influenced my review.

I won this book in a competition and I think it is amazing.

It's not something that I would have picked up at a book store but it's a shame that I wouldn't because I actually really love it.

It's a very creative book with beautifully illustrated pictures.

Super cute alliterations with just as cute drawings. I will never unsee the unicorn undulating in his underwear!

A very cute and unusual alphabet book with alliterative phrases to match each drawing. Fun to read aloud.

I hate third-person biographies when it's fairly obvious they're written by the author. So here's mine in the first person like I wrote it:
I adore alliteration, animals, and art. I dwell in Delaware with my handsome, hilarious husband, and two magnificently mischievous mutts! We had a jackbooted kitteh, but she goose-stepped out of our lives at the ripe old age of twenty. Her tyranny is sorely mis
