Vera Wang, one of the hottest names in the fashion world, gained fame by revolutionizing bridal design with her sleek, sophisticated gowns. But Wang's talents go far beyond elegant wedding dresses; her one-of-a-kind evening gowns are sought after by celebrities for red-carpet events, and upscale department stores and boutiques carry her designs for items ranging from sportswear to bedding to stationery to glassware to fragrances. Remarkably, she succeeded in this highly competitive industry without any formal design training. Ever since childhood, Wang has had a fierce passion for art, design, and fashion. That drive propelled her into her first job as a fashion editor for Vogue and on to a career of designing not only clothing but also personal and household items. Head of a multimillion-dollar company, Wang is a smart and successful businesswoman-and one of the foremost designers in the world.
