Beatrice loves her idyllic life in the countryside and all that comes with it. She loves building snowpeople in the winter, gardening in the spring, catching fireflies in the summer, and frolicking through freshly-fallen leaves in autumn. But when Papa gets a new job in a faraway city, Beatrice’s entire world changes. Saying goodbye to Gram and the stories she tells of her long-ago adventures hurts most of all

Beatrice is happy in her home with her two dads, Gram and her cat. Everything changes one day when Papa gets a new job in the big city. Dad, Papa, Beatrice and the cat are moving to the city, but not Gram. Beatrice is really sad. The family takes a walk around the neighborhood, but not even the playground cheers her up. She finds her first day of school quite taxing. Everything changes when she receives a package from Gram. Inside she finds everything she needs to document each new experiment. This way she can share them all with Gram when she comes to visit.

A girl moves with he two dads to the city, and she is sad about leaving her Gram behind. A nice gentle story about the worries and readjustments kids make when moving. Offred creating a memory book to show loved ones where they live now as a way to cope.
